According to this story, a British man and his wife moved from London, England, to Casablanca, Morocco .
He decided to buy or live in a mansion which was so grand that it was known as the Caliph`s House. Strangely his ancestors were from Afghanistan.
An important segment of the book is about Islam and Muslims. The people we meet in this story; many of them; believed in spiritual beings known as Jinns. Here the Moroccans in the story believed that Jinns had power over humans. The quran denies that Jinns have power over humans. [see sura 51 and many other suras.]
The chapters about Ramadan and Eid al Adha are very good and describe sleepy attitudes of Muslims, many of them in, these months.
The humor of the writer makes the book entertaining. Bribery is common place in Morocco.
The poverty and the resilience of the masses is amazing as is the blatant corruption of the authorities and the rulers.

Meanwhile Hegseth, Trumps secretary for war says all prisoners in Gtmo should be executed

Three military units were attacked by locals in Chitral.
There was a widespread strike in Karachi against rising prices [by Jamaate Islami. [Jamaat leader Naimur Rahman]
Fighting continues in Baluchistan . Pakistani troops are being killed in large numbers along with Baluchi separatists.
Westernized Pakistani rulers have no understanding of Baluchis.
THE SITUATION is serious . Reports indicate news of Baluchistan is cataclysmic. Another break away may be developing there.
Rulers should wake up. Save what is left of Pakistan. The rulers look like puppets of America. India is very satisfied.

Mayor Mamdani to Attend 9/11 Memorial
In spite of efforts to ban him from the 9/11 Memorial Ceremony, Mayor Mamdani will attend.
He said that it would be an honor to attend.
However, as is the custom at this event, politicians do not give speeches but are kept in an area with other politicians.
It is this policy which has compelled President Trump to ditch the New York 9/11 Memorial event and commemorate 9/11 in D.C. at the White House, instead.
Mamdani Administration Sued Over Property Taxes
A few New York homeowners have sued the Mamdani Administration over the convoluted way they were notified they had to pay the taxes. Homeowners argue it hurt them when the city released the personal information of over 17,000 homeowners on its website while also burdening them with the task of proving they were primary residents, not pied-à-terre owners. They should have never received these notices because it did not apply to them. These primary resident homeowners also felt threatened because the notice told them to either prove they are primary residents or pay the tax.
Many critics called the Mamdani Administration's notification process lazy.
The Mamdani Administration is arguing that just because homeowners do not like how the notification process was handled does not make it illegal. The Mamdani Administration is also claiming that the lawsuit is premature because it is still organizing the measure.
The Mamdani Administration has proposed taxing owners of New York pied-à-terres, valued at over $5 million, with an additional tax to close the budget gap.
Staten Island Supreme Court Judge Wayne Ozzi is hearing the case, but no decision has been made yet.

"A Charity is due for every joint in each
person everyday that the sun comes up.
To act justly between two people is a charity;
To help a man with his mount,
lifting him onto it or hoisting up
his belongings onto it is a charity;
A good word is a charity;
and---
Removing a harmful thing from the
road is a charity."

Hadith # 2 on 'Sadaqah'...
Sayyiduna Abu Dhar (Radhi Allahu Anhu) narrates...
PROPHET (ﷺ)~ said...
Each morning for every person
a 'Sadaqah' is due for each joint
Every utterance of
'Subhan Allah'
(Glory be to Allah Who is above all faults)
is an act of 'Sadaqah'.
Every utterance of
'Alhamdulillah '
(Praise be to Allah)
is an act of 'Sadaqah'.
Every utterance of
'La ilaha Illallah'.
(None is worthy of worship but Allah)
is an act of 'Sadaqah'.
Every utterance of
'Allahu Akbar'
(Allah is the Greatest)
is an act of 'Sadaqah'.
Enjoining Good, is an act of 'Sadaqah'
Forbidding from Evil, is an act of 'Sadaqah'
'Amar Bil Maroof...Nahi Anil Munkar'
(Enjoining the right...Forbidding the wrong)
Commentary...
"Charity is due from every joint bone"
means that when a person gets up in the morning,
it is obligatory for him to thank Allah (SWT)for having every joint of his intact.
Therefore, one must praise and glorify Allah (SWT)
Since a single invocation of the
words mentioned in this 'Hadith' is equivalent to one 'Sadaqah',
one must say these words 360 times !
a number which equals the number of joints in man's body.
Plus to enjoin someone to do what is good and dissuade
somebody from vice constitutes 'Sadaqah' !
However, if one performs two 'Rak`ah' of 'Duha' prayer,
it will serve for 'Sadaqah' for all the joints of the body...!!!
We also learn from this 'Hadith' that 'Sadaqah'
is not restricted to spending money alone
but also has a vast meaning and covers all forms of virtues mentioned here !
