Beautiful and truthful words, Dr. Siddique. Beautiful and truthful words. All who oppose evil and support so-called "justice" should condemn the fascist, racist, genocidal police states of Israel and the United States. Their military regimes promote and enforce white capital supremacy and work towards the destruction of morally courageous Islamic nationalism, especially insofar as such nationalism would protect the petroleum reserves, the natural gas reserves and the water routes in southwest Asia and northeast Africa from dominion and conquest by the United States and its allies. Iran, Yemen and Hezbollah appear to be nearly isolated (at least from neighboring Islamic nations) in their resistance against the United States and Israel. What a shame! What a damnable shame!

What Should Muslims Do?
Muslims should realize that Israeli Jews committed unequalled crimes against Muslims in Palestine.
Israeli Jews have not been punished and they are continuing their crimes all over the world.
Hundreds of thousands of Muslim women and children were slaughtered by the Israeli Jews.
Hundreds of mosques were destroyed. Qurans were desecrated.
Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and other Muslim countries did not try to intervene even though they have modern armies.
The Qur'an says drive them out from where they drove you out.
"O believers! When the call to prayer is made on Friday, then rush to the remembrance of Allah and leave off ˹all your˺ business. That is best for you, if only you knew." The Quran 62:9
Jummah is the first day of the week.
Prophet Muhammad (saw) told us, "Allah guided Muslims to Fridays. The days would follow in their natural order on the Day of Resurrection, so Muslims would be first on that day." Hadith, Book of Muslim
Jummah, known as Friday, is one of the most significant days for Muslims. It is the also the day when the Day of Judgement will take place.
Jummah جمعہ means congregation, gathering of the community. It is the special day when Muslims gather in Masjids to perform congregational prayers and listen to Khutbah, a sermon, given by Khalifah خلیفہ, the leader the Muslim. Nowadays by an Imam chosen by the community.
Jummah is obligatory, wajib واجب for every adult Muslim men and women, who are not traveling and are not sick. Younger Muslims are also encouraged to attend, but it is not mandatory for them. The Friday prayer replaces Zuhr prayer and it is obligatory and missing it without a valid excuse is a sin.
Jummah in Islam has historic significance, too. It is the day Allah created Hazrat Adam (as). It is also the day when Allah expelled him from Jannah after Shaitan شیطان misguided his wife and him to eat the fruit forbidden by Allah.
On the Day of Jummah, Prophet Muhammad (saw) along with his friend, Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddique (ra) arrived in Madinah when Allah commanded him to leave Makkah.
The first Battle between Muslims and Kuffar, Battle of Badr, a significant event in Islamic history, also took place on a Jummah جمعہ, Friday.
This explains the spiritual importance of Jummah جمعہ in Islam. Please join the community every Friday for Salaatul Jummah and do not rush out the Masjid without meeting with some Muslims. It strengthens our community.
A note for the working people to talk with your manager and let them know how important is Jummah for you. Tell them you will take longer Lunch Break on Fridays for your Congregational Prayer, just as the Jewish community celebrates it on Saturdays, and Christians on Sundays. Tell them also that you will make it up by staying late to catch up with work. You will find them very accommodating.
PS. I am humbled that I have been chosen many times by the community across the country including England, Pakistan, and Germany to deliver Khutbahtul Jummah. Alhamdulillah الحمدلللہ

Running the Empower 5k for Rayyan

Today I did the DC Empower 5k, in support of Autism Speaks. It was held in West Potomac Park, where I hadn't been in eons since becoming a caregiver for a close family member. It was a perfect day for running or walking, if a bit windy.
Until recently, Autism Speaks held an annual 5k run each July 4 in Potomac.
It was one of my favorite races, as it fell on my birthday, was short and sweet with a pretty route, and had Vie de France Bakery, a favorite of mine, conveniently located near the finish line for post-race treats.
On top of that, it was always my kind of weather (anything over 80 degrees will do!) at that race.
Then, abruptly, Autism Speaks canceled the race. Oddly the cancelation just happened to coincide with the death of a close Indian friend's autistic child.
Today's race, being a brand new event, had a smaller turnout (or so it seemed to me). For example, there were only 130 runners, compared to the 700 - 800 who typically appeared for the Potomac version of the event. But, the crowd's spirit and enthusiasm compensated for any shortfall in numbers. And it seemed to me there were many more walkers than runners. (The opposite was the case at the Potomac event.)
The limited field may have favored me. Or perhaps it was the spirit of my friend's dead child propelling me, because I came in #3 of all women, with a per mile pace of 8:11. Not bad for a 57-year old, old fogy. (These days, I typically only place in my age group.)
In this time of genocide, it is important to note that in Gaza, there were an estimated 3,000 – 5,000 autistic children. It is uncertain how many have survived Israel's daily bombardment. For those who have survived, treatment options have disappeared. This, off course, is due to the deliberate Israeli bombardment of each and every one of Gaza's hospitals and clinics. One can imagine the sensory overload an autistic Palestinian child, already traumatized by the destruction of his home and repeated forced relocations, must experience. It would seem appropriate for autism support organizations, such as Autism Speaks, to enlarge their advocacy to autistic Palestinian children living under occupation. To my knowledge, they have yet to do so.
As I ran, I was thinking of Rayyan, whom I knew personally, and praying for him. Rest in peace, beloved child. May the Creator give solace to my Indian friend (Rayyan's mother), as well as to all the mothers who have lost their children, whether here, in Gaza, Iran, or any of the other countries which have come under US/ Israeli assault.

Tributes Pour in for Murderer
Former Virginia Lieutenant Governor Justin Fairfax murdered his wife, Cerina, then himself, while their children were in the home. Their 17-year-old son called 911.
According to reports, a divorce judge gave the former politician 2 weeks to vacate the premises he shared with his wife and children. His alcoholism was said to be one of the major issues in their marriage.
According to Jemele Hill, the tributes that poured in, along with messages about mental health, made his wife invisible. The blatant disregard for Cerina Fairfax is no different than the messages espoused after BAFTA's racist incident involving actors Delroy Lindo and Michael B. Jordan, who had epithets hurled at them by a Tourette's sufferer.
In Coral Springs, Florida, Vice Mayor Nancy Metayer Bowen was murdered by her estranged husband, Stephen Bowen.
Jemele Hill dropped another statistic bomb: according to Google, the number one killer of pregnant women in America is domestic violence!
Rapper Dv4d has just been arrested for the murder of 15-year-old Celeste Rivas. She had been missing for a year when her body was found in his abandoned car. Rivas was pregnant.
There has been a growing number of cases of young pregnant females being murdered, and the fact that they are pregnant is usually the reason, especially if the girl is underage, like Celeste Rivas.
The definition of masculinity in America is rooted in power over one's domain, women, children, and resources. When some males feel they are losing control, they may have a mental breakdown and lash out. These values are reinforced in American homes by the parents. This male dominance in relationships deviates from Allah's Will. It is amoral because it encourages men to compete with Allah for His power over humankind.
It is no wonder that when certain men feel they have lost their godlike power over elements of their life, they seek to injure or kill the person they feel is responsible. Inflicting harm or taking a life violates boundaries and is viewed as an act of empowerment for the delusional. This toxic, deviant behavior can only thrive in secular societies.
Women are responsible for their own behavior and men's illicit behaviors. There is still a pervasive belief that a wife is responsible for her husband's infidelities. And yes, there are still parents who rationalize not discussing sex education with their sons simply because males don't get pregnant! So, they learn about sexual relationships from either their friends, school, or the streets.

one who doesn't turn back to Allah
in 'Tawbah' for he sees nothing wrong
with himself --- ?
And is this not the scarier of the two...?
And it is true, that we may dismiss such
a notion of ever becoming the latter ?
that is, one who is heedless,
such that he sees NO fault within himself ---?
But -is it not a Possibility ?
I ask ---
If we do not frequent this Mirror...{?}
if we go about our daily business without
TRULY
looking at our reflection and assessing
our own character...?
and we pray never to be amongst such people {!}
Let us heed the message of Isa Ibn Maryam (a. s.) who said---
"Do not look at the people's faults
as if you are Lords...
but look at your own faults as if you are Slaves !
because people are of two {2} types...
