Dies at 51." New York Times Caught in Action about Shireen
Abu Akleh
by Kaukab Siddique, PhD
That's how America's biggest newspaper described the Israeli
crime against the iconic journalist
who had become the voice of Palestine.
New York Times [also known as NYT] is the biggest source of
Zionist propaganda in America and is quoted
by big and small media outlets from coat-to-coast.
Israeli atrocities do not get reported in NYT. The tactic
used by NYT is the pretense that it did not happen. If it is
not reported in NYT "it did not happen".
Sometimes Israeli atrocities are reported in a watered-down
way to blame the victims, the Palestinians.
The legitimacy of Israel is never questioned.
Next in line are armed Islamic groups opposing America and
Israel. All of them are described as terrorists. In a big
defeat for America, the readers of NYT are in a state of
shock as it happened at the conclusion of the war in
Afghanistan.
Even peaceful Islamic groups like Jamate Islami Pakistan are
never mentioned in NYT even when they are supported by huge
crowds protesting in every Pakistani city and Bangladesh.
NYT's policies are copied by just about all American media
including, strangely, by Republicans.
We see Biden pumping billions of dollars' worth of weaponry
into Ukraine. The media tell us that Russians are focusing
on killing civilians. Military losses of Ukraine are seldom,
if ever, mentioned.
If Russia is killing civilians and is militarily very weak,
how did hundreds of thousands of civilians flee
Ukraine, well dressed and carrying suit cases. [Compare with
German civilians fleeing at the end of World War 2.]
America has given $6 billion worth of late model hand held
missiles to Ukraine. Britain has provided $100 million of
weaponry to the Kiev regime. Canada is not far behind. How
does all this reach Ukraine?
Top western leaders are able to visit Kiev, safe and sound.
Is Putin right in saying this is only an operation, not a
war?
During the Second World War, Ukrainians joined German armies
and slaughtered tens of thousands of Communists and Jews.
How did an Israeli become the leader of Ukraine?
Obviously much is being hidden from Americans. Innocent
Palestinians are labelled as "terrorists" and many Americans
believe it.

JI leader Sirajul Haq asked the government to decrease the
prices of petrol and electricity and other commodities.
He said the JI would launch countrywide protest if the
government further enhanced the prices of petroleum products
and electricity tariff on the direction of the IMF. He said
the economy could not strengthen by relying on the foreign
loans.
He said there was dire need to adopt the Islamic model of
economy. End the riba and encourage the zakat and ushar to
put the national economy on track, he asked the rulers.
The JI was demanding the government give road map to
eliminate interest-based economy in the light of the
decision of the federal shariah court, he said.
The JI chief said the three parties which ruled over the
country for years are badly exposed. They were fighting for
self-interest, he added, asking the people not to vote for
the already tested faces rather to choose the JI to bring
real change.
He expressed regret the governments had not worked to
resolve the water problem in past years. There was severe
water crisis in Punjab and Sindh, he said, adding the
failure of the government to build water reservoirs and
manage other water related problems were the reason behind
the crisis besides the climate change issue. He said the JI
would bring improve in all the sectors if voted to
power.

Blatant Evil in Buffalo
[Upstate New York] [May 14]
Ten people were killed and three more were wounded when a
man opened fire at a supermarket in Buffalo, New York,
authorities said Saturday. Police said the shooter, who is
now in custody, has been charged with murder in what
officials are calling a hate crime and a case of racially
motivated violent extremism.
"This was pure evil," said Erie County Sheriff John Garcia.
"This was a straight-up racially motivated hate crime from
somebody outside of our community."
At approximately 2:30 p.m., an 18-year-old White man exited
his vehicle at a Tops Friendly Market, Buffalo Police
Commissioner Joseph Gramaglia said at a news conference. The
suspect was "very heavily armed" and had a tactical helmet
and gear, Gramaglia said. Police said he also had a camera
and was live-streaming the shooting.

Khutba was against Laziness and Procrastination. Surprise
ending.
What a pleasant surprise. The Imam noted when the Charlie
Hebdo incident happened in Paris, everyone rushed to support
Paris. Even Muslims joined in.
Now that Shireen, iconic Palestinian journalist has been
killed by Israel, Muslims are being lazy and are not
speaking out. At least they can stop being lazy and should
speak out.
We only had back numbers of New Trend and we gave six pages

Invitation to Think
Tiny Muslim country, Gambia, brought the Rohingya Muslim
tragedy to the ICJ.
by .Imam Malik Mujahid Chair Burma Task Force
[Excerpted] May 15
Imam Abdul Malik Mujahid, Chair of the Burma Task Force,
just left the International Court of Justice (ICJ) in The
Hague in the Netherlands hours ago. He was attending
hearings for the Gambia's lawsuit against the Burmese
government for crimes against humanity in relation to its
genocide of its Rohingya minority. Both Burma and the Gambia
are signatories of the United Nations' Genocide
Convention.
One hundred and forty-nine nations have signed the Genocide
Convention, but it took the tiniest country in Africa to
walk the talk.
The Gambia's case against Burma takes the legal effort
forward in a critical way. I heard every word of it, and
hugged H. E. Abubacarr Tambadou, the country's Minister of
Justice. He is an experienced war crimes prosecutor who
served for more than a decade at the international criminal
tribunal for Rwanda.
May God bless the minister in this world and in the
everlasting life forever, and may the Gambia and its people
prosper. I had difficulty holding my tears as I hugged a
great American Muslim, Muhammad Arsalan Suleman, who pushed
for this case in the first place. He is the former American
envoy to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
Alhamdu lillah humanity is alive. The Ummah is not dead. We
must thank Allah for this, as we pray He will bless us with
more success like this in the future insha Allah.
We had sponsored about 25 Rohingyas to be in the Hague on
this occasion. As I was saying goodbye to them, I could see
the smiles on their faces. Alhamdu lillah. This is a good
beginning toward the long road to justice.
Both of these heroes, the Gambian minister of justice and
Arsalan Suleman, will be honored by us in March. Please sign
up to be a part of this gala event in Chicago.)

Our Christian Friend Laid to Rest.
Veteran Al Jazeera journalist Shireen Abu Akleh has been
laid to rest in a cemetery in occupied East Jerusalem, three
days after she was fatally shot by Israeli forces while
reporting on a raid in the occupied West Bank.
Thousands of people gathered for Abu Akleh's funeral on
Friday, including family, friends, and those who only knew
Abu Akleh as a mainstay for 15 years in Al Jazeera's
coverage of the occupied Palestinian territories and the
lives of everyday Palestinians.
Some mourners hoisted Palestinian flags, with many chanting
"Palestine, Palestine" as the coffin was moved from St Louis
French Hospital in occupied East Jerusalem's Sheikh Jarrah
neighborhood to a funeral service at Jaffa Gate in
Jerusalem's Old City and finally to the Mount Zion Cemetery,
where Abu Akleh was buried next to her parents.
Her niece, Lina Abu Akleh, remembered her aunt's "commitment
to making sure that people know the truth, and her love for
the people in making sure they know the truth."
She knew how much she was loved, but she was so humble, she
never wanted to be at the center of attention, she said. "I
think she would have been proud to see how the Palestinian
people supported her and supported our family,"
Father Fadi Diab, the priest who conducted the funeral, told
Al Jazeera that Abu Akleh's killing would "have influence
all over the world".
"Shireen Abu Akleh was a messenger for Palestinians and for
their rights," he said. "Life is sacred and we're not
allowed to assassinate life. God created life not to be
assassinated, but to be nurtured."
"If someone imagined that the influence of Shireen will
stop, no," he said. "Now, she will have influence all over
the world."
Still, constant reminders of the Israeli occupation on which
Abu Akleh so often reported loomed over the three days of
memorials that preceded the burial.
On Thursday, the same day the slain journalist was laid in
state at the Palestinian Authority's Presidential Palace,
her brother was summoned by Israeli authorities who warned
him against mourners carrying Palestinian flags or chanting
pro-Palestinian chants during memorial ceremonies.
Then on Friday, Israeli forces attacked mourners who
attempted to walk with Abu Akleh's coffin in occupied East
Jerusalem.

Voices from Turkey
Uighur Muslims in Türkiye have urged the UN human rights
chief to independently investigate the so-called
"re-education camps" and allegations of rights abuses,
torture and even genocide when she visits China's Xinjiang
Uighur Autonomous Region this month.
"I am calling on the UN rights chief to walk freely in the
concentration camps and talk freely with the people, without
surveillance cameras or without the presence of Chinese
police, to reveal to the world the human rights situation
there," Mirza Ahmet Ilyasoglu, a Uighur living in Türkiye,
told a press conference in Istanbul on Tuesday.
"Because if the UN goes there and listens to the one-sided
Chinese thesis ... it would come up with a completely false
report which would be very embarrassing for the UN and the
human rights agency," he said.
Uighur community in Türkiye has staged daily protests
outside the Chinese consulate in Istanbul over the past few
years, holding pictures of their relatives and family
members with whom they lost touch for months, and even
years.
In March, UN human rights chief Michelle Bachelet said she
would pay a visit to China, including Xinjiang, in May,
after an agreement with Beijing, as rights advocates mounted
pressure that her office release its long-postponed report
on the rights situation there.
Rights groups say that at least one million mostly Muslim
minorities have been incarcerated in "re-education camps"
spread across the vast northwestern Chinese region, where
China is accused of widespread human rights abuses.
Human rights groups and many foreign governments say they
have evidence of what they say are mass detentions, forced
labour, political indoctrination, torture and forced
sterilisation. Washington has called it "genocide."

Muslims do not Tolerate Blasphemy. [Why?]
A college in the northwestern Nigerian state of Sokoto has
been indefinitely shut after a female student in the school
was killed over alleged blasphemy. The yet-to-be-identified
student was accused of insulting the Prophet Muhammad, which
led to a mobbing that resulted in her death on Thursday,
according to reports from local media. Her body was also
allegedly burned afterwards within the school premises.

[New Trend notes: authorities in Muslim countries do not
take action against blasphemy. As a result ordinary Muslims
take things into their own hands. Under European influence
persons hostile to Islam consider abusive attacks on the
Prophet, pbuh, most effective way of damaging Islam.

attacks because Muslims honor Jesus, pbuh.]
