Islamic Understanding of the war Ravaged World in which we live.
by Kaukab Siddique, PhD

The Ukraine-Russia war brings us a daily dose of reports which may or may not be true.

It appears that "genocide" [word use by Biden] is underway. However hundreds of thousands have escaped from Ukraine and are well received in Poland and other countries.

We are told that Ukraine is poorly armed and is facing overwhelming Russian forces. Then we learn that a billion dollars worth of military hardware has been provided by the US to Ukraine, 100 million dollars worth from UK and from Germany and Canada. Also we learn in "small print" that Ukraine received 8 years of military training before the war began.

Western aid and western leaders easily reach Kiev and plan with the Ukrainian leader.

Then we are told by western media that Russia also hurt Muslims in Aleppo and before that in Chechnia. Why was that kept hidden for so long?

By contrast USA destroyed al-Raqqa, the capital of the Islamic State and very late Amnesty has found out that 16,000 civilians were killed in the US bombing of al-Raqqa.

Also, the US and Iran combined to destroy the central city of Islamic State in Iraq known as Mosul. The daily Independence says 40,00 civilians were killed by the US, Iran and Shiite militias in Mosul. Another one million were expelled from that beautiful city. The central mosque was destroyed from which the IS leader spoke. No investigation was held and IS was blamed without evidence. The Mosul tragedy remains unknown to most people.

I am noting the bare minimum here. The Muslims have been soft targets, defenseless against air attacks and long range artillery. Western media have totally deceived the global umma.

Our leader is Muhammad, pbuh. If we heed authentic hadith narrated from him, we would understand what's going on. He predicted the coming of Dajjal and also the situation before the emergence of Dajjal.

Here are the indications he, pbuh, gave:

"Verily, preceding Dajjal will be years of deception, in which the truthful are belied, the liars are believed, the trustworthy are discredited, the treacherous are trusted, and the disgraceful speak."

He was asked "Who are the disgraceful?" The Prophet said, "Little wicked men who speak about the affairs of common people."

{Musnad of Ahmad ibn Hanbal, #13298, reported by Anas ibn Malik.]

Pakistan

 Pakistan

New government.

New government back to the old Begging Style
[with thanks to Dr. T]

Within days of its formation, the new government is back to begging Washington for help,

The new finance minister Miftah Ismail is in Washington and begging the IMF for help, In a meeting with the Atlantic Council on April 22, He made flippant remarks about a verse of the Quran which Imran Khan had quoted. Amar bil Maruf and Nahi un il munkar. {commanding the good and rejecting evil.[

Then he went further and attributed it to the Taliban, probably in an attempt to please his American hosts. Looks like he forgot that Muslims who trivialize the Quran and that too to please non-Muslims are either non-Muslims or totally ignorant.

Then Miftah went on with his business of begging the IMF.
It's a bad start for Miftah and the new government.

Pakistani Woman Leader rebuts Imran Khan.

Federal Information Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb on Friday said that general elections would be held after the government completes its tenure, as she excoriated former prime minister Imran Khan and his governance.

Addressing a news conference in Islamabad, she said, "And when the elections are held this time, the mistake of the RTS's (Results Transmission System) failure will not happen again, Imran Khan sahib.

"This time, fog won't appear like it did in Daska. This time, ballot boxes will not be stolen like they were in Daska. This time, officers of the Election Commission of Pakistan will not go missing like they did in Daska." [Courtesy Dawn]

Jamaate Islami Leader.
Imran Khan's rule was catastrophic and Incompetent.
by Qauser Sharif

Liaqat Baloch, in response to questions from journalists, said that the continuation of the failures of the Imran Khan regime is the new coalition government. The end of economic catastrophes and crises and the solution of the country's problems could not be achieved by the parties of different ideologies and different faiths.

The Imran Khan government has laid the thorns and mines of failure and incompetence for the destruction of the country. Public confidence has been shattered. In politics, slander, accusations and vulgarity have become a disease. National priorities and electoral reforms are the most important requirement of the time.

Elections based on proportional representation will strengthen the importance of political parties, get rid of the Establishment and the so-called, unfaithful tools - electables. Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif should focus all his attention on early elections.

Ad hoc, hasty development measures will be unsustainable. Public confidence must be restored. The public has examined the glittering, heartbreaking and misleading statements of every era since the 1970s. To hide its failures, incompetences and the actions of the anti-people government's rhetoric dangerous for national security will not make a space in public opinion. Jamaat-e-Islami will end the crisis by striving for the rule of Islam, the solution of public problems and the restoration of the sanctity of transparent and fair elections.

Afghan Taliban leader hopes Shehbaz's election as PM will cement bilateral ties

Tahir Khan Published April 22, 2022 Courtesy Dawn.

The head of the Taliban government in Afghanistan, Prime Minister Mullah Mohammad Hasan, in a statement issued on Friday said he hoped that the election of Shehbaz Sharif as Pakistan's prime minister would give a boost to bilateral relations.

The message from Mullah Hasan comes amid rising tensions between the two countries over a spike in attacks on Pakistan forces which Pakistan says are being conducted from inside Afghanistan by the outlawed Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).

"On behalf of the government and people of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, let me extend my heartfelt congratulations to you on your appointment as the 23rd Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan," Hasan, who is the head of the Taliban council of ministers, said.

"Your appointment (as the Prime Minister) is a good and valuable step," he said, adding that he hoped "it will strengthen bilateral ties between Afghanistan and Pakistan and lead to the development, prosperity and good relations between the two brotherly nations."

"It is worth mentioning that, on behalf of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, I would like to assure you that good and comprehensive relations between the two brotherly nations and the Muslim neighbouring countries would be further enhanced and strengthened."

The Taliban leader wished for the prosperity and well-being of the brotherly people of Pakistan.

"The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan will not allow anyone to use Afghanistan territory against other countries, particularly against its neighbours," said a Taliban commentary posted on Afghanistan's official news agency Bakhtar following Pakistan's recent statements that terrorists were using Afghanistan soil against Pakistan.

"As the focus of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan's foreign policy is neutrality and non-interference in the affairs of others, the leaders of IEA have repeatedly accentuated that they will not allow anyone to use Afghanistan's territory against other countries, particularly against its neighbours," it said.

Talking about Islamabad's stance that the TTP militants are hiding in Afghanistan and have carried out terrorist attacks against Pakistan from time to time, the Taliban commentary said the "Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan rejects Pakistan's claim and has repeatedly called on Pakistan to resolve any problems and misunderstandings through constructive dialogue to ensure greater security in the region."

"Although the dilemma between the TTP and the Pakistani government is an internal matter, the IEA wants a healthy solution that benefits both the region and the people of Pakistan," it further said.

Federal Government Taking Racism and Threats Seriously:
Wisconsin man charged with hate crimes after FBI investigation.
[Courtesy Yahoo news.]

Federal agents have charged a white Wisconsin man with a series of hate crimes. He's alleged to have violated the civil rights of several Black and brown people to get them to move out of his neighborhood.

The U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin has filed a criminal complaint against William McDonald for "willfully injuring, intimidating, or interfering with another's housing rights because of their race, color, or national origin by force or threat of force."

The claim states McDonald, a resident of West Allis, left racist notes on the windshields of individuals' vehicles, slashed some of his neighbors' tires, and wrote the N-word across a woman's apartment door, hoping to force them to relocate out of their homes.

The feds believe these acts violate the Civil Rights Act of 1968 and constitute a hate crime.

He allegedly started terrorizing his neighbors on March 7, 2021, when he slashed a woman's tires on her vehicle. The next day, the claim alleges, the windshield was broken.

On the windshield, McDonald left a note on a restaurant's stationary, saying, "BETTER WATCH WHO THE F##K YOU TALK S##T TO UFLY FAT N##GER B##TCH! I KNOW WHERE YOU LIVE. IF I SEE YOU AGAIN, I'LL SLASH YOUR F##KING THROAT. GET THE F##K BACK TO THE NORTHSIDE WHERE YOU BELONG F##KING N##GER!"

This note was followed by another threatening note, placed on her vehicle as it was parked outside the apartment complex on March 17, 2021, stating this was her "last warning."

"Get the f##k outta my neighborhood," he wrote. "Before I slash you s##t again."

"No problem with Black people. Only problems with ghetto punk N##GERS like you!" The report states on this occasion, he slashed only her front tires. He reportedly targeted an Afro-Hispanic family, a parent ( Puerto Rican) and child (African-American) later that year. They received on Oct. 29, 2021, a note stating they were being watched.

McDonald reportedly wrote, "Keep speeding + driving like the dumb disrespectful n##ger you are + next time it will be your windshield n##ger. Get the f##ck back to the ghetto n##ger northside + stay there."

He ended the note saying for the parent to take all of her "monkey friends + family" back to the north side of the city. He added, "That's where you belong," as he slashed the tires on their vehicle also, authorities claim.

At the end of February 2022, like the other three residents, three additional victims, a couple and a child that lives with them, were intimidated with a note and by having their tires slashed. Their letter said, "Get the f##k out of MY neighborhood N##GER!"

On Feb. 23, the couple's vehicle was vandalized. McDonald allegedly broke the driver's side window of their car. Five days later, their tires were slashed, and a second note was left saying "Keep speeding in MY neighborhood N##GER. Next time it will be your windshield. Get back to the north side piece of shit N##GER."

At this point, the FBI was called in. Agents set up video surveillance in and around the complex to catch whoever had been sending the messages.

Authorities say McDonald continued to menace the couple. On March 13, the couple's tires were slashed again. The third note found at the scene of the crime said, "You thought I was playing ... Get the f##k back to the n##ger northside where you belong before I put sand in your gas tank n##ger."

The couple took their concerns to the press and shared that the FBI had taken up the case.

Reginald Wilkerson, one of the victims, shared with local station Fox 5 News that since February they had experienced about five incidents.

"We're pretty much the target right now," Wilkerson said. "But we want to make sure if anyone else moves here that's of our skin tone, Black, brown, whatever it is, that they shouldn't have to go through this."

"Somebody has an opinion on my skin tone, and they don't feel like I should be here so they make me lose money even more just because they don't like the fact that I'm Black," he continued.

Around this time, law enforcement received some major breakthroughs. The FBI was able to determine through matching of his blue 2007 Ford Five Hundred that the suspect who had been bothering these people was most likely McDonald on March 15.

Despite the authorities making headway, McDonald reportedly didn't stop his terrorism spree. He allegedly shifted his attention to another African-American family, a mother and her two sons, who moved into the apartment building in April 2022. She found, after moving into her place, the word "N##GER" written in black pen on the front of her door on April 5.

It is alleged McDonald slipped a note under her door, stating, "get the f##k out n##gers. Your NOT wanted here."

Two days later, the claim states, he sent another note that said, "Stay here + see what the f##k happens n##ger." Victim 7 says the person had to be someone inside of the complex because of the elaborate security system that requires a key to gain entrance. As a result of the threats, the Black woman's two African-American sons are "no longer living" with her "out of fear for their safety."

On AprIl 19, the FBI executed a warrant to search McDonald's home in connection to the hate crimes. He denied having anything to do with the harassment. But agents report they found handwritten notes in his home that said in part, "Drive like a stupid ghetto fu##ing n##ger in MY neighborhood. This is what happens b##ch. I'm watching all you f##king monkeys around here."

Like so many of the other notes, he wrote, "Get the f##k back to the northside ghetto where you belong."

The evidence ascertained during this investigation revealed in November 2021 and December 2021, Williams reported the people he had been harassing to the police department over 26 different times, complaining about their reckless driving — a subject in multiple notes that he allegedly left.

The West Allis Police Department pulled McDonald over for not signaling on a turn and for not wearing a seatbelt. When the citation was issued, they were able to get him to sign it. The detectives juxtaposed his signature with the handwriting of the notes and determined it is remarkably close, especially the way he wrote his "a" and "g."

Federal agents filed their complaint the same day of the apartment search.

U.S. court records, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, indicated McDonald had his initial court appearance Tuesday, April 19, but he did not seem to have legal representation.

ALLAH~ [May HE be glorified and exalted] says...
'one of the characteristics of the believers who deserve
Paradise is that they feed others...'{!}
ALLAH ~ [Azza wa Jal ] says ~ "And they give food, in spite of their love for it [or for the love of Him] to the 'Miskeen' [the Poor]~ the Orphan, and the Captive, saying...
'We feed you seeking Allah's ( عزّ وجلّ‎) countenance only. we wish for no reward, nor thanks from you.
'Verily, We fear from our Lord a Day, hard and distressful, that will make the faces look horrible [from extreme dislike to it]'
So Allah saved them from the evil of that Day, and gave them 'Nadhrah' [a light of beauty] and joy.
And their recompense shall be Paradise, and silken garments, because they were patient"

So, during the month of 'Ramadan' [and even during other months] it is very virtuous and rewarding to feed others who are breaking their fast...{!}
It is also very virtuous and rewarding to feed others in general.

In another narration from 'Abd-Allaah ibn 'Umar (Radi Allahu Anhu) related that a man asked the PROPHETSal Allahu 'Alaihi wa Sallam"
What is the best thing in Islam ?"
PROPHET ﷺ answered...
"Feeding others and giving the greeting of 'Salaam' to those whom you know and those whom you do not know."
(Source: Sahih al-Bukhari & Muslim)

Ibn Rajab (Allah have mercy upon him) said in al-Fath (1/43):
"The 'Hadith' (mentioned above) makes the connection between feeding others and spreading 'Salaam' because this combines two good actions in both word and deed, which is perfect good treatment ('Ihsan')
Indeed, this is the best thing that one can do in Islam after the obligatory duties."

A Little Note...
Many 'Hadiths' are reported regarding the virtues of providing food for others to break their fast. Feeding others in general brings a great reward to the one who does it...!

Northern Gaza - For the second week in a row, thousands of Palestinians participated in a mass rally called by the Hamas movement to show solidarity in the face of continued Israeli raids in occupied Jerusalem and the Al-Aqsa Mosque.

The Al-Aqsa Mosque has been at the centre of days of violence and heightened tensions following a series of Israeli incursions into the holy site, which began at the start of the holy month of Ramadan.

Israeli fighter jets attack Gaza for second time in a week

At the demonstration in Jabalia refugee camp, in the northern Gaza Strip, protesters held banners declaring Palestinian dominion over the Al-Aqsa Mosque and chanted slogans deploring Israeli attacks against worshippers there.

Suhail al-Hindi, a member of the Hamas political bureau, said the thousands of people from Gaza who joined the march did so to send a message to people in occupied Jerusalem and in the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque.

"We are on your side," al-Hindi said in a speech.

"We stand with you, support you, protect your decision and defend you," he said, calling on Palestinians in the West Bank, occupied Jerusalem, and in the 1948 territories, to gather permanently at Al-Aqsa to defend it.

"Palestinian unity represented in Jerusalem, the West Bank, and the 1948 occupied territories, tells the Israeli occupation the Palestinian people are united in resistance and fighting with all what they have," he said

collective punishment

GAZA, Saturday, April 23, 2022 (WAFA) - Israel announced today the closure of Gaza's commercial and pedestrian crossings in a collective punishment move.

The Israeli occupation authorities said Beit Hanoun/Erez crossing in the north of the Gaza Strip, a pedestrian crossing, and Karm Abu Salem/Kerem Shalom commercial crossing in the south of the Gaza Strip will remain closed indefinitely as a punishment to Gaza's two million-strong population claiming the action was taken after a couple of rockets were recently fired from the Gaza Strip into southern Israel.

The closure means Gaza's workers, businessmen or the ill will not be able to enter Israel on their way to the West Bank or Jerusalem, and goods, including basic food products, fuel and construction material, will not be allowed into the Gaza Strip.

 Uyghurs

Gene Bunin was in Xinjiang in 2017 when Uyghur friends began to disappear.

Since then he has published details of 37,000 victims, aiming to hold China to account

By Rob Hastings

Rob is Deputy Features Editor at i. He won the Legal Reporting Award in 2019 and was shortlisted for the Washington Post's Laurence Stern Fellowship and Amnesty's Gaby Rado Prize in 2015.

April 21, 2022 7:00 am(Updated 4:51 pm)

Rahile Dawut disappeared in China in 2017. Her family have heard nothing from her since then. It feels increasingly likely they never will again. But they have no doubt why she vanished: she was a Uyghur.

In fact, Dawut was one of the most respected experts in Uyghur traditions and folklore. Her work made her a prime target five years ago when Beijing's regime began its merciless oppression - many call it a genocide - of Uyghurs and other minority ethnic communities across Xinjiang in north-west China, where Dawut was a professor at the region's top university. This has involved incarcerating hundreds of thousands of people, perhaps more than a million. But more than that, the persecution aims to eradicate their cultures and languages, everything Dawut had spent her career trying to promote and protect.
It's hard to grasp the true scale of an atrocity like this. Individual stories can be lost in the swirl of numbers when they're so big. But search for Dawut's name online and soon you'll find a website that is trying to record this vast crime against humanity person by person: the Xinjiang Victims Database.

Dawut was the very first entry in 2018. Another 37,507 people have been added since then, each with their own page detailing whatever is known about their nightmarish experiences.

More than 10,000 have been included just this year. We have become familiar with satellite shots of the concentration camps that at their peak were terrorising and indoctrinating around a 10th of all adult Uyghurs in Xinjiang - a region seven times larger than the UK - but here we learn about those held inside.

On Dawut's database page, she stares out of a small photo on what looks like an identity card. Wearing a white blouse over a stripey top, with her long black hair falling behind her shoulders, she has just the smallest hint of a smile. We learn that she is 55 years old, if she is still alive, and that she was living in the Chinese city of Urumqi, Xinjiang's capital, before she went missing.
"She disappeared while planning to go to Beijing," says her profile. The alleged reason for her detention? "Separatism". Fourteen accounts are listed as evidence of what has happened to Dawut - including four from her daughter, Akida, a student in the US who believes her mother is "awaiting a secret trial".

The page links to the website freemymom.org, where Akida recalls how Rahile vanished: "There was never a day that we didn't speak on the phone. On December 12, 2017, that changed. I still remember that day vividly. It was a Tuesday afternoon. I couldn't wait to tell her about my day. But she was in a rush boarding a plane to Beijing. I was waiting for her to call me back... I'm still waiting for that call."

China's selection of a Uyghur cross-country skier, Dinigeer Yilamujiang, as one of the torchbearers during Beijing's Winter Olympics opening ceremony in February was the latest sign of how President Xi Jinping wants to cover up what his dictatorship has been doing in Xinjiang.

There has been huge frustration among campaigners around the world at delays to a report by the United Nations, whose Commissioner for Human Rights, Michelle Bachelet, intends to visit Xinjiang in May. And while Russia's invasion of Ukraine occupies the world's foreign ministers with fresh accounts of alleged war crimes by Vladimir Putin's forces every day, the West is unlikely to begin sanctioning a second major economy over its regime's human rights abuses.

Still, the database is a reminder that Putin does not hold a monopoly on evil.

Dawut's case has received more attention than most Uyghurs, which is why she was chosen as victim number one. Her story has been reported by the New York Times, the Washington Post and the London Review of Books. A petition for her release has 47,000 signatures.
