Historic Response to a top level Indian Scholar
[This is Maulana Maudoodi's anniversary.]
Maulana Maudoodi taught Political Activism and Organized
Effort: Is that a Sign of Lack of Spirituality and love?

Bangladeshi intellectual asked me to comment on a critical
article written by Indian journalist Yogindar Sikand on the
views of Maulana Abul Hasan Ali Nadwi about Maulana Maudoodi.
Maulana Nadwi, who passed away in 1999, was one of the top
Muslim scholars of India. No disrespect is meant to him in
answering his critique of Maudoodi. The views he expressed,
and circulated on Indian lists are important and relevant
to the times in which we live.
Maulana Nadwi was of the view that by emphasizing political
activities aimed at the creation of the Islamic state,
Maulana Maudoodi distracted attention from the love and
spirituality essential to Islam. Political activism became
an end in itself, a sterile activity which evaded the
compassion and nurturing inherent in the way of life of the
Prophet, pbuh.
At first glance, it appears that Maulana Nadwi had a point.
After all "Islamic State" is not even clearly delineated in
the Qur'an and Hadith. Why should we always be protesting
and rallying and mobilizing public opinion and organizing
for political activity? Where does Islam say that such
activity is required? Should we not focus on prayers and the
Hereafter? Is it not sinful to make prayers only a means to
political ends and, worst of all, the acquisition of
political power.
I must disagree strongly with Maulana Nadwi. He simply did
not understand Maulana Maudoodi and the mission of the
Islamic movement. I can write about this issue because
Maudoodi's work helped me to focus on the Qur'an and the
Hadith and not to consider conventional religion as
Islam.
The Qur'an is about struggle and the victory of the people
of Allah, the downtrodden, the oppressed, over the
oppressors, the worshippers of the false gods of wealth,
power, military might and state power. Here are a few
thinking points:
One of the most significant negative figures in the
Qur'an is that of the Pharoah who symbolizes state authority
and the secularist idea that life and death can be meted out
by rulers.
The kalima of Islam begins with LA, the rejection of all
man-made gods. Unless we go through the rejection, the
affirmation will not be complete.
The Qur'an categorically states that ALL prophets and
people calling to Allah were opposed by the rulers and
chiefs. Unless these forces are challenged and defeated, the
Islamic way of life cannot emerge in its entirety.
People like Abraham, Hajira, Moses, Asiya, Jesus, Mary,
Muhammad, Ayesha [Allah bless them all] opposed, challenged
and defeated established forces and conformist
religions.
Spirituality and prayer are linked to the moral courage
people have to oppose forces based on material power.
Muslims are able to stand up to state power and accept
shahada because of deep spirituality. The prayers are
essential, five times a day, because at every step, every
minute of our waking lives, we must face the devils of
material power and the seductions of conformity,
assimilation and compromise with oppressors.
Anyone who says Maudoodi was not spiritual does not know
anything about him. For decades he suffered excruciating
pain in his joints but he would not give up the regular
prayers in their proper form as long as he could physically
move. He made no excuses.
He was a soft spoken man but his spirit spoke with the
thunder of truth. Hence all the enemies of Islam, from
generals to sell out maulvies saw him as the enemy. His
spirituality cannot be understood easily. He refused to ask
for mercy when he was sentenced to death and was handed the
clothes worn by those about to be hanged.
The Islamic state is inherent in the Qur'an and the
authentic Hadith. In plain language it means:
Muslims must organize themselves [as symbolized in
prayer.]
Muslims must be economically independent, as seen in the
zakat system.
Muslims are ONE UMMAH, as seen in the Hajj.
The Qur'an is replete with Jihad verses. This is armed
resistance, financial resistance, moral resistance. As a
great Islamic leader of America, Imam Jamil al-Amin put it,
"you are free to the extent to which you resist."
Muslim men and women must learn to work together against
kufr and tughyan and nifaq.
The Prophet, pbuh, sacrificed all that he had, did the
Hijra, set up the model Islamic community in Madina. After
him, the Khulafa-e-Rahidoon set up the ideal society. All
this naturally points to the emergence of the Islamic state
in any time and age in which Muslims decide to follow the
Sunnah.
If Muslims are minorities in USA and India, that does not
mean that we should start cooperating with the oppressors,
define Islam like other "spiritual" and individualistic
religions and forget about Shoora and Jam'aa.
The people of America have powerful impulses towards good.
They are our natural allies. However, if we focus on the
elites in power and forget the people, we will have betrayed
Islam. The same holds true of India. Think about it.
My love is with the people of Bangladesh. The conflict was
between the power elites of East and West Pakistan. We were
fooled and used by them to treat each other as strangers.
Inshallah we will meet again with the Qur'an in our hands.

Large Protest Rallies in Six Major Cities
LAHORE- Sep24:Jamaat-e-Islamion Friday organized countrywide
protest demonstration against the skyrocketing inflation and
unemployment, warning the government to address the problems
of the masses or get ready to go home.
The rallies and protest demonstrations against the
anti-people policies of the PTI government were held in
Rawalpindi, Lahore, Gujranwala, Peshawar, Karachi, Quetta
and other cities. Thousands of people, holding national and
JI flags and chanting slogans against the inflation and
unemployment participated in the events.
JI Emir Sirajul Haq addressing a gathering in Gujranwala
criticized the policies of the government and said the PTI
failed to deliver, and lost people trust. He said the prime
minister made tall claims to provide ten million jobs, built
five million houses and bring reforms in every sector before
coming into power. But, he added, the prime minister failed
to honor his words and did nothing to address the problems
of the masses. He said it was pity that the PTI befooled the
masses in the name of Madina state. Where was the Madina
state of the PTI government now, he asked. He said the
government was incapable to fix the issues and put the
country on track.
Sirajul Haq addressed the "Labor Convention" and demanded
the government to fix minimum wages of the laborer as per
the demands of the labor unions. He said the laborer, small
farmers and the other segments of the society were badly
affected by the skyrocketing prices of the food items,
medicines, petrol, electricity and gas. He said the
government must brought down the prices of basic commodities
by 35 to 50 percent.
The JI Emir said the former and present governments did
nothing for institution building and deprived the masses
from even the basic facilities. He said the PTI, the PML-N
and the PPP were the sides of the same coins and protector
of the status quo. He said the masses should reject them in
the election and vote for the JI to put the country on
track.

Troops from Rwanda, Burundi and South Africa [all
non-Muslims] which had declared vicvtory against Islamic
State -led fighters in the north turned out to be
incorrect.
The Islamic fighters are advancing to the south and
al-Jazeera is reporting continuing fighting as the Isslamics
advance.
Pakistan [Sept. 24]
The Pak military is reporting that it has killed 6 local
fighters in Baluchistan. It is also reporting that it has
killed an IS commander [though Pakistan previously claimed
there is no IS in Pakistan.]
In another clash one Pak soldier is reported killed and 3
wounded. [Dawn]
In Karachi, a mob attacked a police station and 2 people
were kllled in police firing.
Sudan
Ethiopian troops which had entered Sudan have been repelled.

IS Resurgent. Increasing Battles.
September 26.
In Diyala province, Islamic State fighters
used a roadside bomb and rifle fire to kill 5 regime
security forces, including an officer, and injured 4.
September 23.
In the Hamrin mountains, after Islamic State fighters killed
12 of the Federal Police and injured scores of others,
regime air strikes and pincer movement by ground forces
killed 7 of the IS fighters.
September 12.
Baghdad regime launched a large scale military
offensive in Mosul after ISIS forces returned to parts of
the city. No results.
In Daquq area near Kirkuk, IS elements threw grenades
killing 3 regime troops and wounding one.
Syria
Russian Bombing. American air strike., IS advances,
pro-Turkish shelling. Assad artillery.
September 26. Turkish heavy artillery hit Communist Kurdish
positions in northern Aleppo province.
In the eastern Homs desert IS fighters killed 4 militia
organized by Russia from Palestinian secularists.
On the Irbid frontier, Assad artillery shelled 4 villages.
One Assad officer was fatally injured in counter fire.
Russia carried out 4 air strikes near Turkish positions. An
officer in Russian backed militia in Idlib countryside killed .
A successful Russian air strike near Afrin [northern Aleppo
province] killed 11 opposition fighters and wounded 14 in
the al-Hamza brigade.
A woman was arrested for communicating with IS.
In the Tel Tamr area Turkish artillery hit Kurdish Communist
positions and forced a Russian helicopter to withdraw.
September 25. Russian air strike killed an Albanian Muslim
and a Syrian mujahid in northern Latakia [now under Islamic
Turkestani control]
September 24.Syrian militia supporting Turkey exchanged
heavy machine gun fire with Kurdish Communists in northern
Aleppo province.
A land mine was used by IS to blow up an SDF vehicle
[pro-America[ in Hasakeh province. [north east Syria]
In al-Raqqa city American helicopters let down troops who
captured 3 IS fighters and burned down their house.
September 23. IS cells are attacking supporters of pro-US
SDF. One killed with 6 bullets.
In the Sukhna desert [eastern Homs] ISIS killed the
commander of an Assad militia and 2 Assad soldiers and
injured 6.
September 20. An American air strike killed two allegedly
al-Qaida fighters, one of them a Tunisian, in western
Idlib.

Memory of a great African American Sunni Muslim:
Yusuf Muzaffaruddin Hamid.
In the 1970s I visited an unforgettable African American
Muslim. We could call him American Maudoodi.
He had set up a community center and mosque In the inner
city of Washington D.C. At that time he was married to a
Native American woman.
He was supported by a dedicated team of devout Muslims who
not only knew America well but were determined to spread the
message of Sunni Islam. [The word "Sunni" has to be
emphasized because at that time America was replete with
heterodox versions of Islam.]
We called him Muzaffaruddin because he was a natural leader
and no one treated him lightly.
One big step he took was to go to Pakistan and stay with
Maulana Maudoodi.
He then asked me to translate Jamaate Islami's Constitution
into English which I did, very strictly and to the point.
He then asked me to translate Maudoodi's book al-Jihad fil
Islam. It's a big book and the translation went on and on
and was serialized in his newspaper titled al-Islam. It
could not be completed.
His group was steadily increasing in numbers along with
issues and complications. The Community Mosque then moved to
Georgia and gradually I lost contact because I was in Canada.
He planned for the future and sent his son to study Islam in
Pakistan. My aunt, a selfless and adventurous woman named
Shima, helped him in this amazing venture.
He moved to Dominica, in the eastern Caribbean sea, and
faced harsh opposition. He was against un-Islamic regimes
and faced persecution.
He had health problems and finally died of leukemia in 1991.
In Washington and all over major American cities, he left
inspiration and hope for the achievement of authentic Islam
in America. Every now and then I meet devout Muslims who
worked with him.
He was an extraordinary leader. speaker and organizer. A man
of deep Islamic faith.
From Allah we come and to Allah we return.

FDA approved Pfizer's COVID-19,
10 Years Approval?

Vaccine..I was watching a recent episode of The Community
Cop on public access cable in Manhattan. The two co-hosts,
Noel Leader and Michael Greys, have been outspoken about
COVID-19 vaccine mandates and mainstream media
misinformation about it. They are not advising people to get
or not get vaccinated.
One of the topics mentioned was that the FDA approved
Pfizer's COVID-19 Vaccine. The Community Cop co-hosts
pointed out that it really is not a vaccine but, gene
therapy, according to the patent. Michael Greys, in
particular, stated that FDA approval for true vaccines can
take up to ten years to be approved because of the testing
and the studying of the results from it. However, these
COVID-19 vaccines were allowed on the market after only four
months.
Now that the FDA has "approved" Pfizer's COVID-19 "Vaccine"
some activists believe that this will make it easier to
force unvaccinated people to get it!
In New York, there has been a strong push to get people
vaccinated using lures such as, free lottery tickets, Krispy
Kreme donut offers, sports tickets, money, etc.
Former women's boxing champ and daughter of Muhammad Ali,
Laila Ali, has been bombarded with criticism for supporting
people who do not wear masks or get vaccinated. She stated
that whether to mask or get vaccinated is a God-given
choice. She also stated that those who chose not to do so
should not be judged as taking COVID-19 less seriously.
Many people, particularly, from the Black community
criticized Laila Ali mercilessly. One of the critiques is
that she is remedial and a conspiracy theorist because she
said that COVID-19 was made to "harm humanity." Michael
Greys vigorously defended Ali and reminded viewers that many
celebrities have been allowed to speak about the COVID-19
vaccine as long as they are in support of it. He said that
Laila Ali is in the best shape of her life and specializes
in fitness so, why is her intelligence being questioned?
Community Cop Show co-host Noel Leader also pointed out that
discrediting Laila Ali made no sense when Dr. Faucci has
contradicted himself on numerous occasions, saying:
Vaccinated people would not get COVID-19, now he says they
can get it.
Vaccinated people don't need to wear masks, now he says
they do.
Children don't need to get vaccinated, now he says they do.
Dr. Faucci is a walking contradiction.
Refusing to take the vaccine and/or speaking against taking
it is being viewed as unpatriotic. Patriotism has always
been the motivational tool politicians and their
wealthy-backers have used to lead the American Idiots like
sheep to slaughter. They rely on the American Idiot's
short-term memory. The American Idiot forgets that, in the
very beginning, medical experts stated that those with
strong immune systems experienced less severe COVID-19
effects on their systems compared to their co-morbid counterparts.
So, if you already have a strong immune system, who is this
COVID-19 Vaccine meant for? It was meant to lessen the
severity of COVID-19 in people with weaker immune systems,
particularly those with health issues such, diabetes and
high blood pressure. But, now, government is mandating
everyone to get the vaccine.
The Community Cop Show acknowledged that New York unions are
very powerful, yet many of them have been silent on these
vaccination mandates for even their own members. Many
politicians don't stand a chance if these unions don't throw
support their way during elections. However, when former
Governor Andrew Cuomo mandated New York government employees
to be vaccinated these unions were silent. Not a peep.
But, some Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) employees and
the Tucson Police Union (Arizona) are suing over the
mandates. The NYPD threatened to sue if police officers were
mandated to get vaccinated. Unvaccinated officers must wear masks.
New York City Mayor de Blasio has mandated all city workers
be vaccinated or submit to weekly COVID-19 testing. However,
the Police Benevolent Association (largest police union in
the world) is against the testing because officers will not
be compensated while taking the time to get it. Mayor de
Blasio has decided to use bully tactics by threatening to
withhold the paychecks of city employees who do not submit
to the weekly testing.
The vaccine mandates, which began in New York State are
trickling out all over the country. As I stated before, it
is either New York or California that set precedent for new
laws to be followed elsewhere in America.
COVID-19, developed by scientists or not, is in the
atmosphere and there is a chance that you may get it. Jabir
bin Abdullah (r.a.) narrated that Prophet Muhammad (pbuh)
said, "There is a cure for every disease. If the cure for a
disease is met, the person will be saved from that disease
with the permission of Allah." Who would dare say that the
ONLY treatment for COVID-19 must be a "vaccine" injection,
when even Allah Almighty doesn't impose such limitations for
treating or curing diseases?

Anas ibn Malik reported:
The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him,
said,
"Allah Almighty said: O son of Adam, if you call upon Me and
place your hope in Me, I will forgive you despite what is
within you and I will not hesitate.
O son of Adam, if you have sins piling up to the clouds and
then ask for My forgiveness, I will forgive you without
hesitation.
O son of Adam, if you come to Me with enough sins to fill
the earth and then you meet Me without associating anything
with Me, I will come to you with enough forgiveness to fill
the earth."

Pure Intention & Sincerity
As-slamu alaikum,
Ibn al-Mubarak (RA) said:
"How often does a small deed become big due to one's
intention, and how often does a big deed become small due
one's intention?"
Ibn al-Qayyim (RA) said:
"Be sincere in your aim and you will find the support of
Allah surrounding you"
Pure intention and sincerity are the basis of every
virtue!
So Intention may not be the only thing, but it is the most
important thing.
Ya Rabb, help us keep our intentions pure.

Khalida Jarrar Released after Serving Two Years in Prison
Israeli authorities on Sunday have released Palestinian
political prisoner Khalida Jarrar after serving two years in
prison, Quds News Network reported.
Khalida Jarrar, who is a member of the Popular Front for the
Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), was detained in October
2019, eight months after she was released following 20
months in administrative detention without trial or charge,
according to Al Jazeera.
She was held in administrative detention again until March
this year when an Israeli military court charged her with
"membership in an illegal organization" due to affiliation
with the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine
(PFLP) political party, a charge over which she was
previously imprisoned. Al Jazeera also reported.
Jarrar was elected as a member of the Legislative Council in
the last Parliamentary elections held in 2006.
In July, Israeli authorities refused to release her to
attend the funeral of her daughter, Suha, QNN reported.
"It was very hard and painful to know that my darling Suha
passed away, I have missed her too much. Please tell all my
beloved ones to take care, I am strong," Jarrar told her
lawyer after being informed about her daughter's death.
Currently, there are 4,650 Palestinian political prisoners
in Isreali prisons, including 40 women, according to the
Prisoner Support and Human Rights Association Addameer.

Chinese Uighur, Uzbek, Tajik celebrate Taliban victory.

Following the fall of the US-backed Afghan government of
Ashraf Ghani on August 15, Uighur, Uzbek and Tajik jihadi
groups widely celebrated the Taliban's "historic victory"
over the "enemies of the Muslim Ummah".
In honor of the Taliban's rebuilding of the Islamic Emirate,
leading Jihadi groups from Central Asia and China's Xinjiang
Autonomous Region issued special congratulatory statements,
echoed jihadi nasheeds (chants of jihadi glory), arranged a
festive feast for their Muhajeers (who immigrated to spread
Islam and wage jihad) and gloatingly booed the US military
forces leaving Afghanistan on jihadi media.
Turkestan Islamic Party called on all Muslims to unite
around the Taliban as one body
Uighur jihadists of the Turkestan Islamic Party (TIP),
formerly known as the East Turkestan Islamic Movement (ETIM)
from Western China, were one of the first to congratulate
the Taliban victory. On August 16, in a statement of the
TIP's Syrian branch, released by its propaganda arm,
'Muhsinlar', Uighur militants congratulated the Taliban's
emir Haibatullah Akhunzada and all Afghan fellow believers
on the restoration of the Islamic Emirate of
Afghanistan.
Notably, in its statement, TIP 'discovered' the root causes
of the Taliban's victory in the Muslim holy book of the
Quran, which refers to Surah al-Fatiha "Indeed, we have
given you, o Prophet, a clear conquest" (48:1). The TIP
further emphasized that "one generation of Muslims have
sacrificed themselves for the religion of Allah, for today's
boundless joy and rejoicing." The Taliban's victory is "a
fruit of long and arduous struggle and God's big gift to
Muslims worldwide", the statement reads.
The TIP's Syrian branch has called on all Muslims to make
dua's (invocation of God) for the Afghan Mujahedeen, to
cooperate and support their fellows of Taliban. Uighur
jihadists emphasized the need for the integrity of the
Islamic Ummah, which should be governed only by the rule of
the Almighty as one nation and one country. At the end of
the statement, TIP noted that "East Turkestan Mujahedeens,
as an integral part of the Great Ummah, celebrated the
historic victory of the Taliban with boundless joy, and will
stand alongside them shoulder to shoulder."

Grisly Murder & Beheading of Upper Class Pakistani woman by

Pakistani Social Media arte bursting with horrifying details
of the murde of a top level Pakistani woman by her putative
boyfriend. He held her hostage, raped and tortured her amd
finally killed her and beheaded her.
CNN "The grisly murder of Noor Mukadam in the heart of
Islamabad involving families from the privileged elite of
Pakistani society has sparked public outrage, grabbed media
attention and dominated headlines for over two months now.
Twenty-seven-year-old Noor Mukadam, daughter of former
Pakistani diplomat Shaukat Mukadam, was murdered and
beheaded in a posh neighbourhood of Islamabad in July. The
police charged Zahir Jaffer, a US national and the heir to
Jaffer Group of Companies - one of Pakistan's wealthiest
families - with murder.
July 20: Noor's beheaded body found at Zahir Jaffer's
residence
Noor's father, Shaukat Mukadam receives a call in the
afternoon from the accused who tells him that Noor is not
with him. Later, around 10 pm, he receives a call from the
Kohsar Police Station, informing him that his daughter has
been murdered.
Noor's body is found at Zahir Jaffer's residence in Sector
F-7/4, Islamabad. Initial police reports claim that Noor was
first shot and then beheaded. Zahir Jaffer - the prime
suspect - is arrested from the scene and an FIR is
registered against him at the Kohsar Police Station.
According to police reports, Zahir had blood all over his
clothes. Investigators say the two were friends and that
Zahir had held Noor hostage for two days before brutally
murdering her.

releases photos of the horrific crime scene and
