America's Attempt to create a New "Islam": Why did it
succeed in the Sheikhdoms?
UAE recognized Israel. Now Bahrain has followed suit (it
already has a US naval base there.) Saudi Arabia is
pretending to be shy. Pakistan is waiting in the wings.
There is a long history behind these treacherous
announcements. Let's go back into relatively recent history
and see how the seeds of disunity were sown in the Muslim
world.
A learned sister in North Carolina, Bilqis, wanted me to
look at Stephen Schwartz' book The Two Faces of Islam: The
House of Saud from Tradition to Terror [Doubleday, 2002, 312
pages] because she said it mentions me by name 4 times. I
didn't want to buy it, so she sent me her copy.
It's a difficult book to read because the author considers
repetition of the word "wahhabi' a substitute for evidence
and thought. Everyone he dislikes is supposed to be a
"wahhabi." The only "good guys" are those Sufis and Shias
who are not opposed to Israel: an interesting criterion by
which to judge Muslims. Shwartz' book probably sets a record
for the number of times the word "wahhabi" has been used in
any book.
The question arises, are there any Wahhabis in real life?
Whom is Shwartz refererring to? Consider the following:
There is no school of Islamic thought named after Muhammad
ibn Abdul Wahhab [1703-1792 c.e].
There is no individual who follows Muhammad ibn Abdul
Wahhab.
The British applied the label of 'Wahhabi' to their
Islamic opponents, leaders and scholars, in Bengal and later
in all of India.
When we look at these scholars who were dubbed "wahhabies"
by the British, they have one characteristic in common: They
wanted guidance from the Qur'an and the Hadith instead of
blindly following the conventions of society.
In Pakistan, the Ahle Hadith movement is dubbed Wahhabi by
its opponents. The characteristic of the Ahle Hadith
movement is that it governs itself by direct evidence from
the Qur'an and the Hadith.
The major School of Islamic Thought in "Saudi" Arabia is
not "Wahhabism" but the Hanbali School which was inspired by
the methodology of Imam Ahmad Ibn Hanbal giving top priority
to the interpretation of the Qur'an by the Hadith. Ibn
Hanbal died 241 H.
Muhammad Ibn Abdul Wahhab [d. 1206 H] was influenced by
the writing of Ibn Taymiyyah but in a very fragmentary way.
Ibn Taymiyyah died in 728 H, 288 years years before Ibn
Abdul Wahhab. Ibn Taymiyyah himself followed the Hanbali
school of thought.
Thus Stephen Schwartz' attack is aimed at all those
movements, worldwide, which follow the original sources of
Islam, the Qur'an and the Hadith.
Two major targets of Schwartz' abusive book are two of the
foremost leaders of Islamic thought in modern times: Syed
Abu 'Ala Maudoodi and Syed Qutb. Someone must have played a
joke on Schwartz by convincing him that these two giants of
modern Islamic thought were "wahhabies." It might shock
Schwartz to know that Maudoodi [r.a] followed the most
quiescent of Islamic Schools of Thought, the Hanafi mazhab.
Schwartz could well become the butt of jokes among his Sufi
friends [like Kabbani] if they know the following
self-revalatory statement of Maudoodi: "I am from a family
line in which for 1300 years, the process of teaching and
preaching and otherworldliness and spirituality prevailed.
An outstanding name in this family line is that of Maulana
Abu Ahmad Abdal Chishti [d.355 H]. He is the one with whom
the famous Sufi silsila known as Chishtia began. Hazrat
Nasiruddin Abu Yusuf's elder son was hazrat Khwaja
Qutubuddin Maudood Chishti [d. 527 H] who was the Shaikh of
Shaikhs of the entire Chishtia silsilas of India and the
ancestor of the Maudoodi family." [Monthly Tarjumanul
Qur'an, May 2004, Special Issue on Syed Abul 'Ala Maudoodi,
p.307]
One can safely say that Schwartz knows little, if anything,
about Maudoodi. From somewhere he got the idea that Maudoodi
called for the "destruction of existing governments."
[p.132] No such instruction is given in any of Maudoodi's
vast literature.
Perhaps what tied Maudoodi and Syed Qutb to "wahhabism'" in
Schwartz' mind is the connection with Ibn Taymiyyah who died
in 728.
Shah Waliullah [1176 H/1762 CE] too was immensely inspired
by Ibn Taymiyyah as were many others through Shah Waliullah.
None of this has anything to do with "wahhabism" or
terrorism. Islamic learning and the development of Islamic
thought is much too complex a subject for Schwartz'
seemingly limited mental abilities.
Schwartz is unable to see any difference between the Saudi
ruling family and Osama bin Laden. That inability leads me
to believe that I have wasted my time by reading Schwartz'
book. I would suggest that he read Imperial Hubris by the
U.S. intelligence officer whose task it was to study Osama
bin Laden. The officer documents Osama's Islamic
authenticity and debunks people like Schwartz who consider
the leader of the armed international Islamic movement as a
mere criminal.
Schwartz tried to taint my name by using my writings against
the Saudi funded Muslim groups in America. He was unable to
understand why the Saudis funded groups like ISNA. The
purpose was not to spread something called "wahhabism" but
to depoliticize the Muslims of America and to make them
uncritical friends of the U.S. administration. Schwartz'
reference to the AMC-ISNA operative Abdur Rahman al-Amoudi
indicates how naïïve Schwartz is. He presents Al-Amoudi as
an "extremist" supporter of Hamas! [p.237]. He does not know
that Al-Amoudi was a friend of Hosni Mubarak [as related in
Al-Amoudi's own AMC newsletter], the Egyptian dictator, and
helped to put Shaikh Omar 'Abdel Rahman in prison.
When Al-Amoudi himself was arrested, he pleaded for his
freedom recalling the services he had rendered to the U.S.
State Department, including the use of money to buy out
critics of the U.S. [See Al-Amoudi's letter to the
Washington Post published in New Trend.]
The Bush administration considered ISNA, CAIR and their
offshoots funded by the corrupt Saudi regime as loyal
friends, efficient at spreading government propaganda among
Muslims. The FBI trusted these groups. Schwartz thinks these
are "wahhabies" out to destroy America. Whom should we
believe?
It appears that Schwartz has mistakenly "outed" the
government agents working among the Muslims of America.
Owing to his pressure [through his "progressive" Muslim
group, yes he claims to be a Muslim, and fellow travellers],
ISNA-CAIR etc "leaders" revealed themselves much too early.
They had been working quietly and successfully in Muslim
communities when, after 9.11, Schwartz and other made-in-USA
'progressive Muslims' created tremendous pressure for
conformity.
Feareful of being branded "wahhabies" and supporters of
terrorism, ISNA-CAIR-ICNA etc showed their hand. They wanted
to make it clear that they are 100% with the Bush
administration. Hence, when the London bombings happened,
these "leaders" rushed to show their loyalty. Finding that
condemnation of the bombing was not considered enough by the
Zionist power structure, they put on their Islamic garb and
issued a "Fatwa against Terrorism" which did not mention the
U.S. bombing of Afghanistan and Iraq.
Of particular interest is the case of Mahdi Bray, "leader"
of a group calling itself MAS Freedom. Bray was a staunch
supporter of Abdur Rahman Al-Amoudi. Details of their
relationship, as related to funding, are not available yet
[Al-Amoudi always had stacks of cash on hand]. However, Bray
prided himself on getting himself photographed with
Al-Amoudi and loudly proclaimed al-Amoudi's innocence after
he was arrested. He has not mentioned that relationship
after Al-Amoudi's letter to the Washington Post was
published.
After the London bombings, Bray, Johari Abdul Malik et al,
jumped to out do CAIR. They stated that they would not only
put an end to "extremism" in Muslim communities but would
actually hand over alleged "exremists" to the FBI [thus
opening the door to large scale spying and 'snitching' in
the Muslim communities.]. {The entire Bray, Johari episode
is available on C-Span and was also reported on by New
Trend.}
Schwartz is a foolish friend of the Bush administration. He
did not realize that if these pro-government groups had not
been pressured to reveal their blind loyalty to the
government, they would have been much more successful. Now
they cannot get most Muslims to support them above the age
group of 16-24. One has to be mentally unformed, largely
assimilated and unaware to be influenced by these groups
now.
SCHWARTZ and SYED QUTB:
One of the grotesque aspects of Schwartz' book [even by his
own standards] is his attempt to link the Egyptian
intellectual and martyr Syed Qutb to "wahhabism." The idea
that Qutb would have ANYTHING to do with the amalgam of
kingly despotism and controlled "externals only" religion
epitomized by the Saudi dynasty is unthinkable for one who
has read Syed Qutb. Here is a typical quote from Qutb:
"The absolute equality of all mankind was the message of
Islam; that and an absolute freedom of conscience from all
values and considerations that would detract from such
equality." [p.186, Social Justice in Islam by Syed Qutb,
translated in 2000 from the Arabic of Adalah al-ijtimaiyah
fi al-Islam (1949) by Prof Hamid Algar.]
Qutb goes on to illustrate from the life of the Prophet,
pbuh, that former slaves and former masters were brought
into one family of EQUALS by Islam. He gives specific
examples.
There is absolutely no connection between Syed Qutb and the
concept of "wahhabism" Schwartz conjures up. Qutb's writings
were abandoned by his own group, the Ikhwan al-Muslimeen
[Muslim Brotherhood] when it turned coat and sold out to the
tyrants of Egypt. His writings link up with the Jihad
movement's understanding of Islam and that could be the real
reason for Schwartz' rancor. The issue of "wahhabism" has no
relevance here.
Attacks on Islam at the Sophisticated Media Level.
It was not just the blatant Abuse on Fox TV. Here is my
experience of the Process at the intellectual Level.
Mr. BrianLamb
Executive Director
Book TV
C-Span 2
booktv@c-span.org
Dear Mr. Lamb
At 1:00am on August 17, Book TV again aired Ibn Warraq's
presentation of his book Leaving Islam. However, this time
you tried what was probably a balancing act by presenting
Prof. Akbar Ahmed of American University as a representative
of Islam just before Warraq was brought on. Prof. Ahmed did
a good job of presenting his book but it was certainly not
an antidote to Warraq's poison.
As my analysis of Warraq's material (which you ignored)
showed, it was an exercise in abuse. He made baseless and
unscholarly attacks on the Qur'an, the Hadith, the Prophet
(peace be on him) and all that is sacred to Muslims.
I had asked for a right of reply to Warraq. Instead you gave
us Prof. Ahmed. Now, if you look at Prof. Ahmed's thesis,
it's obvious that he certainly does not do justice to the
reality of Islam in the world. His perceptions are as
follows:
America is NOT waging a war on Islam.
Jihad is the result of unemployment and large numbers of
young people in Muslim countries with nothing better to
do.
Ditto for "suicide" attacks on Israel.
There is no real conflict between Islam and the West.
It's only the fringe elements that are involved.
Israel is a legitimate state but America is too one-sided
in its support for Israel.
Islamic movements in Pakistan etc., are small groups of
"right wingers."
Islam, Judaism, Christianity are kindred spirits. [Might
as well be one religion.]
Basically Prof. Ahmed's message is the same as that of
Rodney King after he was beaten up by police officers: "Why
don't we all get along."
Prof. Ahmed was treated as something of a hero at his book
reading. Clovis Maksoud was there to support him as were
professors from American University. I am not surprised that
Prof. Ahmed has survived at an upscale university like
American University. He has compromised just about all that
Islam stands for. He is undoubtedly all sugar and cakes but
that has to do more with his job than with the realities of
the Muslim world.
It might shock you to know that Islam is very different from
what Prof. Ahmed claims it is. For instance, Jihad is a
central expression of the Islamic spirit rooted in the
Qur'an and projected in modern idiom by all the greats of
Islam: Iqbal, Syed Qutb, Maudoodi, Dr. Omar ''Abdel Rahman.
ROOTED IN COLONIAL THINKING, Prof. Ahmed claims that Jihad
is the cause of those who have nothing better to do. If only
there were jobs and schools, there would be no jihad! That's
straight out of British racism, the "discoverers" of Africa
who thought they were "civilizing" Africa and carrying the
"White Man's Burden."
As for Israel, I sympathize with Prof. Ahmed. I doubt if he
could keep his job if he spoke against the legitimacy of
Israel. I would, however, challenge him to bring even ONE
EXAMPLE of an authentic Islamic scholar who considers the
existence of Israel legitimate. The poet Iqbal and the
thinker Maudoodi laid the foundations for rejection of
Israel even when Israel was not a direct menace to the
Muslims of South Asia.
As for Arab and African scholars, they have no illusions
that Israel is America's base in the heartland of Islam. The
Qur'an does not permit acceptance of anything like Israel in
the body of Islam.
Thus, Mr. Lamb, your balancing act, Prof. Ahmed followed by
Ibn Warraq, was clever but not honest. Your real agenda
seems to be that of Ibn Warraq: Islam as evil. Your solution
seems to be Prof. Ahmed's Islam, a lion defanged and turned
into a fawning kitty cat.
You owe the Muslim world, Mr. Lamb. After permitting such
abuse of Islam as that let loose by Ibn Warraq, you need to
present an Islamic scholar who is not part of the American
establishment and power structure. Surely Muslims will
refuse to be fooled by your methodology. By contrast, you
never permit the presentation of even the most scholarly
book which discusses the context of Jewish claims of the
"Holocaust" in World War II. It is an incredible fact that
after decades of book reading, you refuse to let Mr. David
Irving present his great book HITLER'S WAR. His book
certainly does not deny the suffering of the Jews. It simply
provides context: an evil war with no angels in it. That
"deviance" from the Jewish context of the War has made Mr.
Irving persona non grata on your subtly manipulative and
manipulated forum.
Why do you think Islam can be kicked around while you are so
careful about hurting Jewish sensibilities?
Sincerely, Kaukab Siddique, Ph.D

Motorway rape case traumatizing
Pakistan. Countrywide rallies by Jamaate Islami women. Calls
for Public hangings.
A woman on the newly built motorway Lahore to Siallkot
waiting for help after her car ran out of gas late at night
was abducted and gang raped in front of her children.
Pakistan is mourning, angry and protesting in every city.
Large numbers of hijabi JI women came out with banners
calling for arrests and executions of the rapists.
JI leaders are challenging the Imran Khan regime for its
inability to provide security to women even on a major
highway. JI ameer Sirajul Haq said crimes against women have
skyrocketed as criminal elements have escaped severe
punishment.
Unfortunately the police chief added to public anger and
frustration by blaming the rape victim for going out late at
night without sufficient petrol in her car. Demands to kick
him out surged.
There is a general sentiment that the Imran regime has
failed to protect women.
(New Trend's impression is that a corrupt culture has
emerged influenced by Indian movies in which women are seen
as easy prey. India has a vast rape network and it is
influencing Pakistani gangsters and male chauvinists)
Not every Official in Pakistan is arrogant and disrespectful
of women.
Here in Frontier Province, in a poor village, there was only
one chair.
The Official sat down on the ground, asked the woman who had
the complaint to sit in his chair, and wrote her complaint.

deep penetration missiles to kill ISIS fighters hiding in
caves near Kirkuk.
US military has 5000 troops supporting the the regime in its
ongoing battle against ISIS. A slow withdrawal is taking
place.
Germany is providing 40 million Euros to help the regime
pacify the victims of Isis
The Dutch government has admitted that it bombed civilians
in Mosul during the battle against ISIS.
In one instance the Dutch say that its jets killed a man's
wife, daughter, son and nephew of a man who lost his legs in
the attack. He is being compensated.
South of Samarra, the regime says its troops have killed an
ISIS commander and three of his men. The details of the
fighting are not available.
Western reports now admit that 6 million civilians were made
homeless in the war against ISIS.

Russian air strikes. IS advance.
September 7 to 13.
Assad regime forces and Iranian allies fired more than 350
shells at 7 villages controlled by Islamic group HTS
(formerly al-Nusra). However attempts at advancing were
succesfully countered by Islamic fighters. (Idlib province

North of Aleppo, pro-Turkish militia fired at Kurdish
Communist groups. Clashes are continuing.
In the eastern Sokhna desert, Isis countered a Russian move
to take over the Dheibat gas field. Russian air strikes had
helped Assad forces to take over the gas field on Sunday but
on Wednesday an ISIS surprise attack drove the mixed
Russian-Assad forces out and are now firmly in control.
Deraa province continues to be in rebellion against Assad.
Gunmen are clashing with a militia organized by the Russians.
In southern Raqqah provinces, IS is trying to make a come

Russian air support.
Somalia
Al-Shabab has survived US air strikes.
An extensive analysis in the Washington Times indicates that
al-Shabab Islamic group has survived US air strikes though
several of its leaders were killed.
Al-Shabab (supported by al-Qaida) now controls most of
Somalia and is steadily attacking the western installed
regime in Mogadishu. The Times indicates that many Shabab
attacks are suicidal (human bombers) and have a devastating
effect.
The paper concludes that if US bombing does not destroy
al-Shabab soon, the group might take over the whole country.
Easy Money for Israel living off US tax payers.
What hope for American nine-o-fivers?
By Sis. Aisha (Jamaat al-Muslimeen)
New York City - At the time this article was written, the
Congress and Senate politicos (Republican, Democrat, and
Independent) are still wrangling over the amount of aid to
give to Americans as a result of this Coronavirus (COVID-19)
Plandemic. It is being reported that the Democrats want to
give a $3 trillion stimulus package, while the Republicans
to give $500 billion.
These same politicians never seem to struggle for this long
over the billions of dollars in yearly aid to the Welfare
State of Israel! The very same politicians who spit on the
struggling voter do not think twice when it comes to aiding
Israel.
On May 21, 2020, The Senate Foreign Relations Committee
quietly voted to give the Welfare State of Israel a MINIMUM
of $38 billion dollars over the next ten years. The House of
Representatives already passed this bill. The full Senate
still has to vote on this measure, which if passed will be
signed into law by President Trump. Most importantly, there
was no debate or resistance to giving this monstrous
violator of human rights such a large financial package.
Yet, these politicians are battling over how much is too
much to give to Americans they put out of work! These
politicians spit on the American poor, who have hit rock
bottom, especially since this lockdown, yet have no moral
compunction about forcing these same struggling taxpayers to
foot the bill for the terrorist entity known as Israel!
It is no wonder that the American media has not reported
this vote at all. I got this information from a Canadian
website.
Meanwhile, in New York City, there is a "Cancel Rent"
Campaign going on that has been initiated by the Met Council
on Housing. On August 20th, they had a rally in Manhattan's
Bryant Park to demand that Governor Cuomo cancel the rent
for all New Yorkers. While this Coronavirus Plandemic put
millions of New Yorkers out of work, their landlords have
still been collecting rent. Pres. Trump recently extended a
new moratorium ceasing all evictions until December 31, 2020.
But, how fair is it for landlords to house tenants whose
rent they depend on to maintain their properties?! This
government lockdown has completely disrupted the real estate
investment market!
Financial gurus like Suze Orman say you need to have enough
money in your savings to cover six months of expenses but,
in reality most American nine-to-fivers are one paycheck
from homelessness! The commercial real estate industry has
been hit hard in New York with longtime stores closing down
because it did not make sense to continue paying rent, if
they were shut down for not being an essential business.
At the beginning of this Plandemic, the Housing Courts were
closed, which prevented landlords from evicting tenants.
But, in recent weeks, the courts have re- opened with a
serious backlog of cases. However, landlords have been able
to proceed with rescheduling old pre-COVID eviction cases
that were stopped when the courts closed.
Now, it has been announced in New York City, that people not
wearing a mask in public will be fined $50! If they are
going to start fining people for not wearing masks, it
sounds as if wearing masks may be a permanent requirement,
unless the people speak up. Notice that this fine is taking
place in New York State but only after California began
issuing fines in August. These are the two test states for
legislation intended for the other 48 states to follow! I
also read that Quebec, Canada is issuing a $4500 fine for
people not wearing a mask in public places!
As Muslims, we have to understand that leadership under the
kuffar is seriously flawed, whether it is well-intentioned
or not. No matter what the circumstance are: we still have
to be Muslims. We cannot, if possible, allow the kuffar to
stop us from following our deen.
Presentation by Imam Abdul Hakim Mumin
(via Sis. Khadija)
Bismillah Ar Rahman Ar Raheem!
All praise belongs to Allah, the Lord of Mankind and Jinn
and all that exists. May Allah's blessings be upon our
beloved Messenger, Muhammed ibn Abdullah his family, his
companions, and all who follow him until the Day of
Judgment.
As Salaam Alaikim!
My name is Abdul Hakim and I am currently incarcerated at
Patuxent prison in Jessup, Maryand where I am the Imam for
the prison Mosque. Here we have a community of about two
hundred fifty (250) brothers. Most of whom are between the
ages of 19 and 25 and many are new Shahadas upon entering
the prison system.
These brothers accepted this beautiful religion with
excitement and enthusiasm. They were eager to learn this
deen and anticipated the brotherhood. They wanted to learn
how to offer the salat according to the example of the
Prophet (SAW), with Tajweed. They looked forward to
attending the study classes three days a week and smaller
halaqahs, all reminders for the Muslim, but specifically
speaking of the youth here at Patuxent Institution and the
new Shahadas and those who may have deficiencies in their
Emaan.
Prior to coming to prison and accepting this truth, all of
what most of these brothers knew and understood was kufr.
They were in street gangs. They were involved with using and
dealing khamr. They were upon other deviant religious
beliefs and so on. These things were deeply embedded in them
and to some capacity these things are still tied to these
brothers hearts making them so much more susceptible and
easier influenced by the prevalent evils around them and the
whispers of the Shaytan, especially when there's no constant
reminder for them. We ask Allah To'ola to guide them.
Understanding that the youth are the future this Ummah, the
focus and direction of this Masjid (at Patuxent Institution)
is to educate the youth with true Islamic knowledge strictly
according to the dictates of Qur'an and the example of the
Rasullallah (SAW) and to direct them to all that is good and
righteous based on a solid religious foundation and oral
standard.
We are constantly advising these brothers with hikmah of
their incumbency. In fact, the urgency is upon each of them
individually not only to learn about the religion but learn
how to put what they learn into practice and strive not to
be among those who are most hated by Alllah To'ola, those
who know the truth but fail to act according to it.
Somewhere around seven or eight months ago, and Allah knows
best, the Coronavirus hit and took the world by storm,
paralyzing communities all over the world even within the
prison system. As a result things abruptly changed for us in
here. For example, before the virus we were allowed almost
10 hours a day out of our cells for recreation. Now it's
only 30 minutes a day. Instead of walking to the dining room
to eat and socializing with hundreds of others, we're now
being fed in our cell. One hour visits with family and loved
ones twice a week has be reduced to just a 15 minute skype
visit once a week. There is no school nor anymore of those
three day a week of Islamic study classes. Jumu'ah has also
been discontinued since the shutdown. So far the youth, new
Shahadah, and those with deficiencies in their faith, this
has become a test for them that they have yet to understand
and perhaps in some cases even a fitnah for the community as
a whole.
Before the Covid-19 lockdown we were able to meet with these
brothers often to give nasi'ah or admonish when necessary
but now we're unable to do this and many of these brothers
depended on that. So now they're finding themselves at a
crossroad reverting to those things that they knew before
Islam. They're finding companionship with gang bangers and
other disbelievers by yelling and having conversations
through the cracks of their locked cell doors. We know that
the Messenger of Allah (SAW) said, "A Man is upon the
religion of his intimate friend." Though these brothers are
sure of this truth, the misfortune and behavior around them
tends to weigh heavy on them.
As of recently I've asked the Kateebs as well as myself to
start writing concise reminders to circulate among the
Muslims here quoting Qur'an and authentic hadith and to
advise an array of subject matters. I've even begun sending
out short Islamic quizzes to the Muslims to remind and
continuously teach the religion, however many are still
falling short with fulfilling their religious obligations
and exhibiting the character of the Muslim.
Whenever we circulate something throughout the institution
we enjoin the good and forbid the evil. We include what
benefits the Muslim in this life as well as the Hereafter,
by reminding them of Allah's blessings and that He guided
them to this beautiful religion and that He sent the Prophet
(SAW) to them.
Due to time I must bring this to it's conclusion and I ask
any who reads this to make Du'a for the Muslims in prison
around the world as well as the Muslims who are in society.
Glory and praise be to Allah, and I bear witness that there
is no god deserving of worship but He. I seek Allah To'ola's
forgiveness and repent to Him.

*I Cannot Obey Allah in Public and Disobey Him in Private !*
Narrated Abdullah ibn Zayd ibn Aslam, from his father, from his
grandfather, {Allah be pleased with them }~ who said....
When I was accompanying 'Umar ibn al-Khattab (Radi Allahu
'Anhu) on
his patrol of 'Madinah' at night, he felt tired, so he
leaned against a wall,
{It was the middle of the night.} and we heard a woman say
to her
daughter "O my daughter, get up and mix that milk with some
water"
The girl answered... 'O Mother, did you not hear the decree
of Amir al-Mu'minin today ? "
The Mother answered..."what was that ?"
so the girl said... 'he ordered someone to announce in a
loud voice that milk should not be mixed with water.'
The Mother then said... 'Get up and mix the milk with water!
you are in
a place where 'Umar (Radi Allahu'Anhu ) cannot see you.'
The girl answered her Mother... ' I cannot obey Allah in
Public and Disobey Him in Private ! "
'Umar (Radi Allahu 'Anhu) heard this and said...
" O Aslam, go to that place and see who that girl is, and to
whom she was speaking, and whether she has a husband."
So... I went to that place, and I saw that she was
unmarried, the other
woman was her Mother, and neither of them had a husband.
I came to 'Umar (Radi Allahu 'Anhu) and told him what I had
found out.
he then called his sons together, and said to them...
'Do any of you need a wife, so I can arrange the marriage
for you' ?
'If I had the desire to get married, I would have been the
first one to
marry this young woman !' 'Abdullah said... "I have a
wife.
'Abd al-Rahman said... "I have a wife'.
'Asim said... "I do not have a wife, so let me marry
her."
So 'Umar (Radi Allahu 'Anhu) arranged for her to be married
to 'Asim

Hadith of the Week
Narrated by Ibn Masud,r.a.:
I witnessed Al-Miqdad
bin Al-Aswad in a scene
which would have been
dearer to me than anything had I been the hero of that
scene. He (i.e. Al-Miqdad) came to the Prophet while the
Prophet was urging the Muslims to fight with the pagans.
Al-Miqdad said,
"We will not say as the People of Moses said: Go you and
your Lord and fight you two. (5.27). But we shall fight on
your right and on your left and in front of you and behind
you."
I saw the face of the Prophet getting bright with happiness,
for that saying delighted him.

Asalamu alaikum,
Someone asked Al-Hasan
al-Basri: "Would not any one of us feel ashamed before his
Lord to seek forgiveness from his sin then go back to it,
then seek forgiveness then go back to it?"
Al-Hasan al-Basri said:
"The shaytan would like you to feel that way; never give up
seeking forgiveness."
Allah (swt) will always accept.
The doors are always open for you. As long as you're still
breathing, then keep repenting.
Oh Allah (swt) accept our repentance (Tawba) and grant us

Restaurant dining linked to Covid-19 risk in CDC study
Adults who tested positive for Covid-19 were approximately
twice as likely to have reported dining at a restaurant in
the 14 days before becoming ill than those who tested
negative, according to a new study from the CDC.
"In addition to dining at a restaurant, case-patients were
more likely to report going to a bar/coffee shop, but only
when the analysis was restricted to participants without
close contact with persons with known COVID-19 before
illness onset," the researchers wrote.

Yasmin,
I have often commented to the New Trend Editor, Dr.
Siddique, about how much I love reading your Guidance
section. I find it enlightening and inspirational! Your
messages can easily be applied to real-life situations.
For instance, "Allah does not love the Arrogant!" (31:18).
This is true, indeed! I definitely see this arrogance in
those hypocritical political leaders resting comfortably on
the perches that unsuspecting voters have placed them on.
Their flawed leadership skills are more evident than ever, now.
El-Hajj Malik Shabazz never had a problem calling out the
hypocrites, Muslim or not. He once referred to the 1963
March on Washington as the "Farce on Washington!"
He was not questioning the anger and frustration of Black
people confronted with racial oppression. He was questioning
certain organizations' strategies for fighting it and
believed they were misleading the oppressed in a way that
benefited the oppressor. And, I have never heard anyone
remark that Shabazz's voice sounded like the "Braying of an
Ass" when he spoke!
I have always admired his courage to speak out and risk
being unpopular....even while facing DEATH! He addressed the
issues of that time as a practicing Muslim would address
them. I am nowhere near Shabazz's level but, I feel it
necessary to question current events. I have to be the
Muslim here and draw my own conclusions based on the Qur'an
and the authentic hadith, even if these views are unpopular.
No one is above reproach when it comes to trying to end
oppression. Not even me! It is good to challenge the status
quo and question people's motives and strategies for
improving their environment because if we don't, "there
would be tumult and oppression on earth, and great
mischief." (8:73).
Thank you for another inspirational message!
Salaam,
Sis. 'Aisha
Palestinians rallied in Gaza, expressing their anger at Gulf
countries' deals to normalize relations with Israel.
Dozens of Palestinians rallied in Gaza on Saturday,
expressing their anger at Gulf countries' deals to normalize
relations with the Jewish State, Reuters reported.
Bahrain followed the UAE to become the fourth Arab country
to establish full diplomatic ties with Israel, a move driven
by mutual enmity towards Iran but one that throws
Palestinians' plight in further jeopardy.
The protest was held in the Gaza strip and organized by
Hamas, the political group in charge of the coastal enclave.
Demonstrators burned pictures of Bahrain's King Hamad bin
Isa Al Khalifa and the UAE's Abu Dhabi crown prince Sheikh
Mohamed bin Zayed al-Nayhan.
"We have to fight the virus of normalization and block all
its paths before it succeeds, to prevent it from spreading,"
Hamas official Maher al-Holy told Reuters.
The agreement is considered a severe blow to Palestinian
efforts aimed at isolating Israel regionally and
internationally until it ends its military occupation and
apartheid-like system in occupied Palestine.
The Bahraini decision, which was announced by US President
Donald Trump on Friday was made despite repeated assurances
that Manama will not extend diplomatic ties with Israel
until Palestinians obtain their rights in accordance with
international law.
The Bahrain-Israel agreement came as another shock to
Palestinians who still didn't recover from the news of the
UAE-Israel normalization.

Disney hit by backlash after thanking Xinjiang authorities
in 'Mulan' credits
Disney has publicly thanked a Chinese government agency
accused of human rights abuses in Xinjiang for its help in
making "Mulan" — a revelation that has provoked a
storm of criticism online.
Disney (DIS) acknowledges several Chinese government bodies
in the credits for the live-action remake of the 1998
animated picture of the same name, but a few in particular
have raised red flags. Disney did not respond to a request
for comment from CNN Business to its media inquiry line, and
to US press officers about the film and the credits. It's
not clear how much of "Mulan" may have been shot in
Xinjiang, though people who worked on the movie have said on
social media and in interviews that they scouted and filmed
locations there.
The US State Department estimates that since 2015 as many as
two million of the Muslim-majority Uyghurs and other Turkic
minorities have been imprisoned in enormous re-education
camps in Xinjiang.
