Abdullah Ibn 'Umar (May Allah be pleased with them) reported:
Whenever the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) set out on a
journey, he would say by nightfall: "Ya ardu, Rabbi wa
Rabbuk-illahu, a'udhu billahi min sharriki wa sharri ma
fiki, wa sharri ma khuliqa fiki, wa sharri ma yadibbu
'alaiki; a'udhu billahi min sharri asadin wa aswadin, wa
minal-hayyati wal-'aqrabi, wa min sakinil-baladi, wa min
walidin wa ma walad [O land, my Rubb and your Rubb is Allah,
I seek refuge in Him from your evils, the evils of what you
contain, the evils of what has been created in you, and the
evils of what walks upon you. I seek refuge in Allah from
lions, black serpents, scorpions and from the inhabitants of
the place, and from the parent (i.e., Satan) and his
offspring who inhabit a settlement (i.e., helpers from
amongst the devils)]."

Israeli police said in a statement they 'neutralised' the
man because he had 'the aim of harming them'.
A Palestinian man has been shot dead by the Israeli police
when he allegedly attempted a stabbing attack outside the
Old City in Jerusalem on Saturday.
According to Palestinian official news agency Wafa,
witnesses said the man was shot several times and left on
the ground bleeding near the Lions' Gate (also known as Bab
al-Asbat) before Israeli paramedics arrived at the
scene.

A video posted on social media appeared to show a man in a
dark jacket and light blue jeans lying motionless on the
ground, with a number of Israeli forces standing nearby.
Israeli police issued a statement saying they had called on
the person to stop before "he turned around toward them with
the aim of harming them".
"The police responded quickly while firing toward him,
neutralizing him and preventing harm," the statement
said.
Israeli medics said the security forces, while firing on the
suspect, had lightly wounded a 42-year-old woman in the
leg.
Israeli forces shut down the gates leading to the Old City
before later reopening them.
The shooting comes amid heightened tensions after the
release of US President Donald Trump's controversial Middle
East plan.
There have been daily clashes between Israeli troops and
Palestinians in the occupied West Bank since the plan was
released in late January, with five Palestinians killed so
far.

OLUWO REFUSES TO BE COWED
By Abdulkabir Oyemomi
Oba Abdulrasheed Akanbi mounted the stool of his father some
four years ago and has since been in center of
controversies. The Telu of Iwo has been in the black book of
many traditional rulers and chiefs alike on myriads of
subject matters.
Iwo is one of the ancient cities of Yorubaland in the
Western part of the country. All these cities are synonymous
with idol worshipping being wrongly referred to culture- all
traditional rulers ( no matter the background) must follow
the fetish way of observing all traditional rites which run
counter with the dictates of Islam, yet they appear in
mosques and accorded the respect of kingship by Imams and
Alfas.
Conversely, Oba Abdulrasheed became Oluwo and declared
himself as representative of Allah as against deities that
all traditional rulers pay allegiance to. He ordered that
all symbols of idolatry be evacuated from the palace and
damned the consequences. Surprisingly, nothing happened to
Oluwo.
Recently, there was what appears to be traditional
conspiracy against Oluwo when the media peddled a rumor that
the king punched another king under him. But it was later
confirmed by BBC Yoruba that there was a mere altercation
between the two of the kings. What followed this is a
purported suspension by the traditional rulers in the State
of Osun .
The writer advises the monarch ( Oba Abdulrasheed) to step
up maturity by choosing not respond to everything and choose
occasion to attend.

Answering the Sectarian Criticism of
Abu Huraira, r.a., by Shias and Hadith Deniers.
by Kaukab Siddique, PhD
This beloved companion of the Prophet, pbuh, is under attack
by the sectarians and others who wish to divide and weaken
the Ummah by causing "doubt" and sowing hatred. Why?
Here are some reasons derived from an analytical study of
the objections and investigation into the reliability and
authenticity of what they have purported regarding Abu
Huraira R.A.:
WHY DO THESE PEOPLE HATE ABU HURAIRA, r.a.?
For the sectarians there seems to be an element of jealousy
(personal and projected) that Abu Huraira, r.a., came into
the Islamic struggle in its final years and equalled, if not
surpassed, most companions of the Prophet, pbuh, in many
ways, and in particular in the narration of the Prophet's
Hadith. In examining the behavior of the companions of the
Prophet (pbuh) no such competitive jealousy or negativity is
apparent at all.
It is thus the base nature of the recent reviewers who have
sown their petty feelings of competition in the blessed
field of love and devotion that the companions had for each
other and for our Prophet pbuh.
Abu Huraira, r.a., remained neutral in the conflict between
Hazrat Ali and Ameer Muawiya as well as in the confrontation
between Hazrat Ali and 'Ayesha Siddiqa, r.a. Like
Hasan,r.a., the elder son of Ali, r.a., Abu Huraira opposed
the inter-Muslim conflicts.
The sectarians claim that Hazrat Ali spoke against Abu
Huraira, r.a. In reviewing the literature both historical
and of the hadith and seerah there is no such evidence.
There are a couple of statements which appeared long after
the two had passed away which have been erroneously and
without sound authenticity attributed to Ali, r.a., against
Abu Huraira. On close examination these are fabrications
produced much after both Ali and Abu Huraira had passed
away.
In the sectarian attack distributed by Syed Jarchavi, the
person named Awan claims that Abu Huraira, r.a., was "hired"
by Muawiyya. This is a figment of Awan's imagination. Most
modern readers would not know that during the rule of Ameer
Muawiyya there was PEACE AND UNITY in the Muslim realm. Imam
Hasan had made peace with Ameer Muawiyya and a spirit of
cooperation existed among all segments of society. There was
no question of anyone "hiring" Abu Huraira, r.a.
WHY ARE THE ANTI-HADITH PEOPLE AGAINST ABU HURAIRA,
r.a.?
The anti hadith people have a desire to break the Quran from
the Sunnah and ride on their whims and inclinations. The
Quran warns us of such inclinations and such people who
argue against the obedience of Allah and obedience of His
Rasool pbuh.
The actions of the anti hadith people may also have stemmed
from a desire to create something new in the Deen to give it
life by its "fresh interpretation". Such self-proclaimed
"scholars" have a tendency to announce something which has
"shock value" just to get attention.
It is most unfortunate, because many others who are not
scholars of Deen may be misled by the sensationalism that
rides the wave of disrespect of the Quran and the Sunnah.
This is at the heart of the problem of criticizing Abu
Huraira RA.
OTHER REASONS:
For the anti-Hadith self-proclaimed scholars, Abu Huraira,
r.a., may pose a problem because he has narrated more Hadith
of the Prophet, pbuh., than any other sahabi.
Targeting him is a way to target most of the ahadiths
recorded by him.
In their myopic view If Abu Huraira, r.a., could be
discredited then a big chunk of Hadith could be
discredited.
The anti-Hadith people are basically dishonest even in their
critique of Abu Huraira and the Hadith.
Although they oppose Hadith and claim that they want the
"Qur'an alone," they turn around and relate some Hadith
narrations in which they claim that 'Ayesha, r.a., and Umar,
r.a., looked critically at a few of Abu Huraira's
narrations. So they are antihadith but they quote hadith as
being authentic to back their opinions.
Those who want to get rid of the Hadith and Sunnah and
proclaim their own Sunnah over the Sunnah of the Prophet
pbuh are using these couple of instances of discussion on a
hadith to cast suspicion on Abu Huraira r.a and the hadith
he related.
The impression these anti hadith people want to perpetrate
is that ALL of Abu Huraira's narrations should be suspected.
This would in their eyes give them free license to pick
whichever practices of our Deen that they desire and discard
what they so desire.
In the final analysis the Fear of Allah has left the hearts
of those who manipulate the words of Allah and His Rasool
pbuh and deceive and lure others into disobedience by making
evil look innocent and vice versa.
We know from the Quran that all those who deliberately
mislead others because of their inclinations or other
reasons will not only suffer for their own disobedience but
will be responsible for the disobedience perpetrated due to
their misguidance of the Quran and Sunnah.
Allah knows best.

[Via Prof. Mansur Khalid.]
In the name of Allah most gracious, most merciful
Dear Imran Khan,
Prime Minister, Islamic Republic Of Pakistan.
Assalamu Alaikum!
Allah almighty has chosen you to lead the Islamic Republic
of Pakistan and we pray that Allah gives you the strength
and will to fulfill this great responsibility. I am
addressing you given the critical situation facing the state
and people of Jammu and Kashmir. It is possible that this is
my last communication to you, ill health and issues of old
age may not allow me to address you again. Allah decides as
He wills on our lives and deaths.
However, to address you at this juncture is not only very
necessary but also a national and personal duty. The way you
spoke at the UNGA against the Indian decision to illegally
change the disputed status of Jammu and Kashmir, and in
favor of the oppressed people of this region, is
praiseworthy.
The struggle for the freedom of Kashmir from Indian
occupation and tyranny has seen many phases right from 1947.
But, since that date, the struggle of Kashmiri men, women
and children for liberation has continued and remained
alive. In this ceaseless struggle 1988, 2008, 2010 and 2016
remain as landmarks. It is the cumulative people's
resistance that has ensured that India has been unable to
crush this freedom struggle.
India's attempt to force this illegal decision on the people
has seen a widespread curfew in the region. All forms of
communication, including phones and internet have been cut
off. Thousands of people, including children, old men,
teenagers, traders, lawyers, students, doctors, the Hurriyet
leadership and their relatives, have been detained and
arrested and lodged in various jails in India. Hundreds of
young men have been subjected to savage torture. The mass
blinding of Kashmiri youth, which started in 2010, has also
continued with hundreds more being injured by pellet guns in
this phase of the struggle as well.
Molestation, sexual harassment and even sodomy have also
continued to be used as state policy to subjugate people.
Indian occupation forces are still molesting women after
barging into their homes. Parents are being asked the ages
of their young girls and the occupying forces are telling
people that their intention is to dishonor Kashmiri Muslim
women. Many people have been threatened that they will be
thrown out of their homes and notices are being issued that
people's houses will be taken over. It is noteworthy that
the Muslims of Ladakh have also been left at the mercy of
brutal Indian forces, as the people of that region are also
opposing to this illegal Indian action.
Why is the Red Mosque so Important?
from Br. Sajjad, Pakistan
Many of our elders in their private meetings and in their
educational institutions and teachings agree that the leader
of the Red Mosque, Maulana Abdul Aziz, is crazy and that he
interferes in matters that are beyond his control. What is
the point of interferring in things beyond your power? And
the Red Mosque in recent years has only gained the deaths of
its people. Why do they think they will do better now? ...
and so and so forth. And they say many other things about
the Red Mosque that are not appropriate to mention here.
We say to these elders, with proper respect and seeking the
safety of our life and faith, that gentlemen! our viewpoint
is different! In your view, running a madrasa is a service
of religion. Further, you may go ahead and make some money
through your publications and you sit in your air
conditioned fatwa houses and blast away with your fatwas.
You aim at increasing your followers and associates. You
want to travel all over the country and other countries,
etc.
However, everyone is not like you. Some servants of Allah
are such who differ with your way of "religious service" and
differ with your overall view that such people as Maulana
Abdul Aziz are crazy.
The true leaders are those who think "How will the Ummah get
back its honor and credibility? How can the Ummah be
awakened from its sleep? How can worship of non-Islamic
power be ended?, etc"
Maulana Abdul Aziz is among such people. So it is not
surprising that opportunists think that he and his
supporters are crazy and speak to them with filthy words.
Such a situation is bound to happen. What is surprising is
that for the Islamic message, women have come into the
field. Why do men not come into the field? The answer is:
women up to now have NOT been under the shadow of those in
power. These women who support the Red Mosque do not go
around visiting the people in power, nor do they go and do
sit-down strikes, nor do they listen to the speeches of the
so-called "great ones" on their mobiles. Though some people
think they are merely females, they have a great sense of
honor which is more than what many of our young men have
these days.
The influence of power robs the sense of honor. The
influence of the powerful is hurtful for the sense of
honor.
Notice that the areas where the people of power have less
influence, the people have more inclination towards jihad.
Notice this well, that planned efforts are being made to
bring the influence of power into the areas where the spirit
of jihad is strong in hopes of diminishing it.
There is a large number of people who are influenced by the
people in power who are being groomed to serve the people in
power. May Allah thwart their designs.
Save yourself and your families from the punishment of the Fire.
Your brother,
Abdul Muiz

US prosecutors end old terror case against California man
AP Feb 15, 2020
[from: Br. Mahfooz, Canada]
SACRAMENTO, Calif (AP) — One of the nation's highest
profile post-9/11 terrorism cases fully unraveled Friday,
with federal prosecutors saying they won't pursue charges
after a judge last year overturned the conviction of a man
who had been linked to a purported al-Qaida sleeper cell in
California and spent 14 years in prison.
Hamid Hayat, a cherry picker from the community of Lodi in
the Central Valley agricultural heartland, was freed in
August after completing more than half his sentence on
charges of providing material support to terrorists and
lying to FBI agents.
A federal judge in July overturned his 2006 conviction on
charges of plotting an attack in the United States after
attending a terrorist training camp in Pakistan. The judge
ruled that Hayat, who proclaimed his innocence, hadn't
received a proper defense at trial.
Hayat's family and new legal team, led by the law firm of
Riordan & Horgan, said in a statement that the case is "a
stark example of how, in the post 9/11 era, the government's
effort to protect the public from terrorism could and did in
this case go terribly wrong."
Prosecutors could have appealed the judge's decision or
sought a new trial, but instead filed a brief motion to
dismiss the case Friday.
"We have determined that the passage of time and the
interests of justice counsel against resurrecting this 15
year old case," they said in a statement.
Prosecutors noted that his conviction was overturned "based
solely on the effectiveness of the lawyer of his own
choosing." The U.S. Attorney's Office in Sacramento, along
with the U.S. Department of Justice's National Security
Division, reviewed the case and the evidence that would be
available during a new trial before opting not to proceed,
prosecutors said.
Hayat said he didn't initially believe it when attorney
Dennis Riordan told him the case is over. "Honestly, it was
like a dream," he said in a brief statement thanking his
family, legal team and other supporters "for standing by me
every step of the way."
Riordan said Hayat would not immediately comment beyond the
statement.
"While we are grateful for the dismissal, the 14 years Hamid
spent behind bars on charges of which he was innocent remain
a grave miscarriage of justice," his family and lawyers said
in their statement. "Hamid's exoneration is a cause for
celebration, but the story of his case is tragedy that must
not be repeated."
They noted that both the federal judge and a federal
magistrate found that multiple witnesses credibly testified,
years after his conviction, that Hamid could not have
committed the crimes.
Both judges decided "that Hamid would not have been found
guilty had the powerful evidence of his innocence that won
his freedom in 2019 been presented to his jury in 2006," the
attorneys and family said in their statement.
Investigators initially alleged that five men were part of
an al-Qaida "sleeper cell" in Lodi.
But only Hayat, who was born in California, was convicted of
terror-related crimes, while three other suspects were
eventually deported without charges. Hayat's father, an ice
cream truck driver, admitted to a customs violation after a
jury was unable to reach a decision on whether he lied to
federal agents about his son's activities.
U.S. District Judge Garland E. Burrell Jr. found that
inexperienced defense attorney Wazhma Mojaddidi failed to
find those alibi witnesses, who would have testified that
Hayat never had time to receive terror training while
visiting relatives and getting married in his ancestral
village in Pakistan.
They said that the longest Hayat was absent from his
family's ancestral village of Behboodi while visiting
Pakistan with family members between 2003 and 2005 was one
week. That directly contracted his purported confession to
attending a training camp for three to six months.
His defense attorney also should have provided a witness to
testify that what prosecutors said was an incriminating note
found in Hayat's wallet was in fact a religious supplication
commonly used by many Muslims, he ruled.
Bill Portanova, a defense attorney and former prosecutor not
affiliated with the case, noted that prosecutors had
evidence including other witness testimony and Hayat's
self-incriminating statements.
"The case was legitimately brought," he said. "It's not like
there was a complete absence of proof."
"This one was very high profile, so the dismissal years
later attracts a lot of attention, but it doesn't reflect
poorly on the government," Portanova said.
He disagreed with Basim Elkarra, executive director of the
Sacramento Valley office of the Council on American-Islamic
Relations, who in a statement called the conviction an
"egregious injustice."
"An entire community was left traumatized due to prosecution
taking advantage of anti-Muslim, post-9/11 hysteria,"
Elkarra said
China - Pakistan Relations
How China Is Humiliating Pakistan
Pakistan sees itself as a major regional power but recent
events show that Beijing considers Pakistan little more than
a subordinate colony to be exploited but not heard.
Inside Pakistan, India is an obsession. Communal violence
surrounding the 1947 partition of India claimed up to two
million lives. India and Pakistan subsequently fought three
wars: In 1965, when India retaliated for Pakistani efforts
to infiltrate forces into Jammu and Kashmir, in 1971 against
the backdrop of the Bangladeshi War of Independence, and
again in 1999, when Indian forces pushed back against a
Pakistani offensive in Kargil, along the line-of-control. As
the late Princeton historian Bernard Lewis pointed out, if
scholars embraced the same definition of "refugee" that the
United Nations applies to Palestinians who have been
displaced by Israel, then South Asia would be home to more
than two hundred million refugees. Tensions remain evident
across the country. In 2000, in Peshawar, a mockup of a
Pakistani nuclear missile stood in the midst of a traffic
circle with the slogan "I'd love to enter India" written
underneath it. In the Pakistani capital of Islamabad today,
giant billboard clocks mark the time since India imposed a
curfew on Kashmir.
There is no shortage of anti-Indian animus within Pakistan
but in recent months it has been China which has humiliated
Pakistan in a manner which India never could. Muhammad Ali
Jinnah, the long-time leader of the All-India Muslim League
and the founding father of Pakistan, conceived the new
country as a land for the Muslims. Because Pakistan based
its legitimacy more on religion than on ethnicity, it really
is the first Islamic state of the modern era.
Pakistanis have historically been at the forefront of
advocacy and action against the oppression of Muslims, real
or imagined. This is what guided Pakistan to oppose Soviet
designs on Afghanistan. Pakistan is among the most
anti-Israel and anti-Semitic countries on earth. The
Pakistani press regularly covers the plight of Myanmar's
persecuted Rohingya Muslims. Pakistani charities work in
Chechnya. There is no shortage of the terrorist groups
Pakistan sponsors who target India and are motivated more by
religion than nationalism. And, yet, when it comes to
China's incarceration of more than a million Uighur
Muslims—solely because they are Muslim—Pakistani
prime minister Imran Khan has been silent on one hand and on
the other he has both defended China's repression of its
Muslims and persecuted for China the Uighurs in
Pakistan.
Sister city twinning is a common diplomatic practice in
order to advance tourism and ties between the world's major
cities. China and Pakistan have taken this to a new level
with provincial twining. Recently, Pakistan's mission in
Beijing gave a draft memorandum of understanding to the
Chinese foreign ministry in order to establish sister
province relations between Xinjiang and Gilgit-Baltistan.
Not only, therefore, is Khan cowed by Chinese pressure to
the point that he must turn a blind eye to the greatest
repression of Muslims in the twenty-first century but he now
seeks to honor the Chinese province that is at the epicenter
of Chinese anti-Muslim repression. Even if Khan is motivated
by the implied threat to treat the people of the disputed
Gilgit-Baltistan region like China treats the Xinjiang, that
does not paper over the implied endorsement of Beijing's
Islamophobic leadership.
The coronavirus abandonment of Pakistani students in Wuhan
further humiliates Pakistan. Almost every other
country—including India—has evacuated its
citizens from the coronavirus epicenter. While Imran Khan
spends a great deal on himself, his foreign travel, and the
military, he has left Pakistan's public health
infrastructure a shamble. Khan knows that corruption and
disorganization mean that medical quarantine will not work
in Pakistan, which is why he seeks to keep those potentially
infected abroad. China, meanwhile, cares little for the
Pakistanis who remain within its territory. To be Pakistani
in the age of Imran Khan means to suffer in silence at the
back of the line.
Pakistan's anti-Americanism greased its turn toward China.
China, meanwhile, built for Pakistan highways and a port.
Pakistan allowed itself to believe that it had become the
crown jewel of China's belt-and-road policy. Now, reality
should set in: Rather than preserve Pakistan's independence
and dignity by playing Beijing and Washington off-each
other, successive Pakistani governments have fallen so far
under China's grasp that Pakistan is powerless to stand up
for its citizens—let alone Muslims. Pakistan sees
itself as a major regional power but recent events show that
Beijing considers Pakistan little more than a subordinate
colony to be exploited but not heard.

has been shot and the culprit escaped.
Ahmed Deedat was the pioneer who challanged the TV

Now Alhamdulillah Dr. Zakir Naik the student of Ahmad Deedat
is propagating the message of Islam and the Example of

It is also reported that in the South African Parliament a

"...The most sagacious of the sagacious ones is he who
enters Paradise because of a sin he perpetrated...!
he places his sin before his eye, continuing to be
constantly afraid for himself on account of that sin until
he departs from
this world and enters Paradise ... {!}
And the most foolish of the foolish ones is he who enters
the Hellfire on
account of ... a single good deed he performed {!}
he places it before his eyes... constantly remembering it

My Brother , be Sagacious !
be constantly afraid for yourself on account of your past
mistakes...!
since you do not know whether or not your Lord will punish
you for them.
And you do not know what impact your sins will have on the
remainder of your life...!
Remember, that Ibraheem (alayhi salam) despite the fact that
he was the
'Khaleel ar-Rahmaan' (this was a position of high ranking
with his Lord),
feared for himself and asked his Lord:
"O my Lord...keep me and my sons away from worshipping
idols."

"My Lord...cause me to die as a Muslim (the one submitting

And Moosa (alayhi salam) said:
"My Lord! For that which You have favored me I will never more be

polytheists, sinners, etc)"
(Source: Qur'an, 28: A# 17)
And Shu'aib (alayhi salam) said....
"And it is not for us to return to it unless Allah, our Lord, shall will."
