Hadith of the Week

Narrated by Abu Huraira, r.a.:

While we were with Allah's Apostle a bedouin got up and said, "O Allah's Apostle! Settle my case according to Allah's Book (Laws)." Then his opponent got up and said, "O Allah's Apostle! He has said the truth! Settle his case according to Allah's Book (Laws.) and allow me to speak," He said, "My son was a laborer for this man and he committed illegal sexual intercourse with his wife. The people told me that my son should be stoned to death but I ransomed him with one-hundred sheep and a captive girl. Then I asked the religious learned people and they told me that his wife should be stoned to death and my son should receive one-hundred lashes and be sentenced to one year of exile.' The Prophet said, "By Him in Whose Hands my life is, I will judge between you according to Allah's Book (Laws): As for the captive girl and the sheep, they are to be returned; and as for your son, he shall receive one-hundred lashes and will be exiled for one year. You, O Unais!" addressing a man from Bani Aslam, "Go tomorrow morning to the wife of this (man) and if she confesses, then stone her to death." The next morning Unais went to the wife and she confessed, and he stoned her to death.

Video Inside Muslim Internment Camps.
More than a million Uighurs and others belonging to Muslim minority groups are believed to be detained in China's Xinjiang region. China calls them "transformation camps" built to prevent extremism from spreading. However, reports indicate they're more like prisons. BBC News correspondent John Sudworth got exclusive access to one of the facilities.

Apple says China's Uighur Muslims were targeted in the recent iPhone hacking campaign.
The tech giant gave a rare statement that bristled at Google's analysis of the novel hacking operation.

In the wake of one of the worst attacks ever against iPhone and iPad security, Apple issued a rare statement on Friday rebutting claims about the attack made by Google in a blog post last week.

The Google post said that hacked websites were used to "indiscriminately" attack individuals who visited them, through numerous critical vulnerabilities in iOS, the operating system that powers iPhones and iPads. These exploits were used to attack as many as thousands of victims per week, according to Google. However, according to Apple's new statement, Google's report left out or misrepresented key details.

Israeli troops kill Gaza teens during border protests

GAZA CITY (Reuters) - Israeli forces shot and killed two Palestinian teenagers including a 14-year-old during protests along the Gaza-Israel border on Friday, Palestinian health officials said.
They named the dead as Khaled Al-Rabai, 14, and Ali Al-Ashqar, 17. Seventy protesters were wounded, 38 of them by live fire, medical officials said.

Protesters have staged 18 months of weekly demonstrations dubbed the "Great March of Return", calling for an end to a security blockade imposed on Gaza by Israel and Egypt, and for Palestinians to have the right to return to land from which their families fled or were forced to flee during Israel's founding in 1948.

Israel rejects any such return, saying that would eliminate its Jewish majority.

An Israeli military spokesman said troops guarding the border on Friday were faced with more than 6,000 demonstrators at several points along the fence.

Around 210 Palestinians have been killed since the protests began in March 2018, Gaza medical officials say.

In that period, an Israeli soldier was shot dead by a Palestinian sniper along the frontier, and another was killed during an Israeli undercover raid into Gaza.

Imam Speaks on Muslim Rights after Demolition of Mosque by Secularized Christians.
by Kabir Oyemomi

Imam Haroon Muhammad of Trans-Amadi Central Mosque of Port Harcourt in Rivers State has stated how the land was acquired in 2009 with due process. He said they started with fencing but the fence caught the attention of the then governor Rotimi Amaechi and thereafter ordered the demolition of the fence on Feb 2,2010. The leadership of the Mosque went to court and secured judgement in the favor of the Mosque as duly acquired.

The Imam stated that the mosque has the largest congregation in whole of Rivers State as the mosque connects about thirteen communities in the heart of Rivers State. Demolishing such a Mosque appears as a deliberate attempt at rendering the teeming Muslim faithful disillusioned as to worshipping, especially on Jummat day.

This clear explanation from the Imam makes it so difficult for anyone to believe the governor of Rivers State,Nyesom Wike, who had earlier claimed there was no mosque demolished by his government. The governor had spoken as if the place was never marked or acquired for such purpose.

Recall that the governor never minces words in declaring the state of Rivers as a Christian State, which kind of declaration that has never come from any governor in the history of Nigeria, even in the north where it's clear that Muslim dominate some states.

We call on the Christian governor to allow peace to reign in Rivers State by ceding the mosque to the rightful owners .

Horrific Oppression of Women in South Africa.

Welcome to South Africa
Where you can get arrested for swearing on a beach
Where you can get arrested for lying on your cv
Where you can get arrested for having a cub
Where you can get arrested for driving above the speed limit
The very same South Africa where
Babies as young as 8 weeks old are raped
Grandmothers , Great Grandmothers are raped
Teens , Woman , Toddlers , Babies Brutally Murdered
Females being kidnapped
Females being sold for sex trafficking
Females being abused by their loved ones
The very same South Africa where
Children on the Cape Flats spend most of there time on the grounds, ducking while shootings are in progress
Drugs are sold openly , regardless of your age
Little boys are recruited to gangs , carrying firearms
YES , This is South Africa
Where as a woman you have to constantly watch your back
For every male that passes you , you try and identify them JUST IN CASE he is the one who ends up following you to the bathroom in a restaurant, Just in case he is the one who ends up kidnapping you in the shopping mall's parking lot
Just in case he is the one who rapes you when delivering your Food to your home
Just in case he is the one who comes to visit your family and takes advantage of you when nobody is paying attention
Just in case he is the one who assaults you while you're on your way home in an uber
This is ALSO South Africa
Where teen boys are gangraped
Where teen boys are forced to murder
Where mentally challenged men are paid to have sex with other men
Where men are hijacked for their cars
Where men are kidnapped and held for ransoms because they simply own a business
Where men are killed in bars , due to a tiny disagreement
This is ALSO South Africa
Where children can no longer play outside on there own until the street lights comes on like back in the day
Where children are kidnapped right outside their schools
Where children are bribed in order to go with their perpetrators
Where INNOCENT children's lives are taken for simply being at the wrong place at the wrong time
This is South Africa
Where being a woman is being a target
This is NOT MY SOUTH AFRICA

Fatwa #3
The Legacy of Umar, r.a., and Hussain, r.a.
Here is a short history of the Golden Era of Islam.
Kerbala came after the Caliphate was over.
by Kaukab Siddique, PhD

The Qur'an counts Muharram as one of the holy months. Within Islamic texts, it's owing to the destruction of the Pharoah's army which was pursuing Musa [Moses] in Muharram. The Pharoah's drowning is a sign to the Muslims that if they are true believers, Allah will give them victory however powerful the enemy. [Moses was a Muslim like all all other messengers of God.]

Within the context of history, Muharram has two most significant events:

The martyrdom of Umar, r.a., on Mohurram 1 after he ruled for 10 years and made Islam the greatest power on the planet earth.

The martyrdom of Husain, r.a., the grandson of the prophet, pbuh, on Mohurram 10 who sacrificed himself and his family to safeguard the core values of Islam.

Most Muslims do not know the timeline between these two events and hence do not understand how a tyrant could get away with killing the beloved grandson of the Prophet, pbuh. Here is an outline of the history of Islam after the Prophet, pbuh, passed away which helps us to understand why this tragedy happened.

632-634 c.e.Abu Bakr, r.a., was the first rightly guided Caliph of Islam. He ruled for two and a half years. He not only defeated the tribal attempts to destroy nascent Islam but also inflicted crushing defeats on the Roman empire [one superpower of the day] at the battles of Ajnadin and Yarmuk. The Islamic commander was Khalid ibn al-Waleed, r.a.,whom the Prophet, pbuh, had hailed as Saifullah, the Sword of Allah.

634-644 c.e. Umar, r.a., was the second rightly guided Caliph of Islam. He ruled for 10 years and destroyed the oppressive Persian empire [the second superpower of that time] The battle of Qadisia sealed the fate of the vast Persian domains. He was martyred by a Persian prisoner

644-656 c.e. Usman, r.a., the third rightly guided Caliph of Islam. During his 12 years, Europe was put on the defensive and the combined Christian fleet was.destroyed by his commander Muawiyya, r.a.

Usman, r.a., is most famous for the compilation of the Qur'an into one book, with written Qur'an cross checked with memorization by thousands of people. He was martyred by shismatics who claimed that he was not as good as the first two Caliphs.

This was the golden era of Islam. Vast populations embraced Islam because Islam opposed slavery and taught the rights of women and taught faith in ONE GOD.. The two empires could not face the Muslims because, as Khalid, r.a., said to the oppressors, "we love death and paradise as much as you love life and wealth."

However, as Islam spread, fewer and fewer sahaba, r.a., [Companions of the Prophet, pbuh] were available to teach Islam and they were thinly spread out from Makka and Madina to Egypt, Syria and Iraq and on into Persia. Great wealth flowed into Muslim lands and with it came jealousy and mutual rivalry.

656-661 c.e. Ali, r.a., was raised to the caliphate by the murderers of Usman, r.a. His rule saw Muslims fightning each other because he could not [or would not] arrest and punish the murderers of Usman. He ruled for 5 years and moved the capital from Madinah to Kufa. He went into battle with Ayesha, r.a., the Mother of the Believers, and Muawiyya, r.a., both of whom sought to punish the murderers of Usman, r.a. Finally, his forces were internally broken up by conflict over the issue of cease fire with Muawiyyah, r.a. Ali's elder son, Hasan, r.a., had always been opposed to war. He not only made peace with Muawiyyah, r.a., after Ali, r.a, but accepted him as the rightful ruler.

661-680 c.e. Muawiyyah, r.a. ruled for 20 years. Once again Muslims were united and Islam blossomed as a culture and a civilization and a force for jihad. However, the internal purity of the Islamic way epitomized in the caliphate of Umar, r.a.,could not be brought back. Muawiyyah, r.a., sowed the seeds of kingship. Ayesha, r.a., admonished him but most of the sahaba were too thinly spread out and were growing too old to vigorously oppose him. He "persuaded"-coerced-bought most people to accept his son Yazeed as the next Caliph.

680-683 c.e. Yazeed had been a strong warrior but as ruler, he was a failure. Husain, r.a., the grandson of the prophet, pbuh, sought to replace him and went out towards Kufa at the petition of hundreds of people who sought him as Caliph. While he was in the desert at Kerbala [now in Iraq] he was betrayed by those who had petitioned him. His small force was surrounded by a tribal army of 4,000 sent by Yazeed's governor Ibn Ziyad. Husain, r.a and his male family members went down fighting and were ruthlessly slain. His female family members were humiliated though Yazeed expressed great sorrow when the news of Kerbala reached him.

683-692 c.e. Abdullah, r.a., the son of Asma, r.a., and Zubayr, r.a., fought Yazeed's armies and defeated them. The Islamic world, except Syria, accepted Abdullah, r.a., as Caliph. His seven years were the closest in their Islamic content to the era of Umar, r.a. However, he too was betrayed and finally isolated in Makka where he was martyred in the Kaaba itself by the forces of Yazeed's successor. He would not surrender owing to to the exhortations of his mother Asma, r.a.

Thus the era of the Caliphate ended and was replaced by Kingship. After that Arabia became secondary and Islam grew in Africa, Persia, India, Central Asia, Turkey and Europe.

Today we see a resurgence of Islam owing to the teachings of Shah Waliullah, Syed Ahmed Shaheed, Iqbal, Hasan al-Banna, Shaykh Nursi of Turkey, Syed Qutb, Maulana Maudoodi, Dr. Omar Abdel Rahman, Shaykh Osama, Dr. al-Zawahiri, Mullah Umar and the Caliphate in al-Raqqa and Mosul

Africa is gradually becoming the leader of the Islamic revolution. The historic influences are those of Bilal, r.a., [the prophet's great companion], Tariq ibn Ziyad, Mansa Musa, Yusuf ibn Tashfeen and the Sokoto jihad movement. Then came the Mahdi of Sudan. In Algeria FIS has been crushed but it has been replaced by al-Qaida in the Islamic Maghreb, various groups in Libya, al-Shabab in Somalia, and Boko Haram in Nigeria. The Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt surprised everyone by the sacrifices it has offered.

In America, the seminal leadership is also African, including Malcolm X and Imam Jamil al-.Amin,

Pakistani Military
Undermining Independence of Islamic Schools.

Comment by Shaikh Mohommad [UK]
September 4

... the Pakistan military announced an even more sweeping reform. Pakistan's 30,000 madrassas were to be brought under state control. I thought there is a civilian Government in Pakistan. It seems Pakistan's Military still controls the country. And Imran Khan is merely a stooge of Pakistan Army. It is high time that Pakistanis come on the streets and demand that the Military interventions should stop. We should learn from the people in Hong Kong and demand freedom from Pakistan Army. By the way, if Saeed has committed any crime, he should be brought before the courts and tried. The action against Saeed merely shows the master and servant relationship that exist between Washington and Islamabad

Khan stirs hornet's nest with reform of madrassas

TheTimes.co.uk/article/are-imran-khan-s-madrasses-reforms-just-window-dressing-xnlwm98nm
In the days before Imran Khan set off to meet President Trump at the White House, the Pakistani government launched an eye-catching crackdown on Islamist groups and terror financing at home.

Hafiz Saeed, the alleged mastermind of the Mumbai terror attacks in 2008 and a man living freely in Pakistan despite the $10 million bounty on his head, was placed under house arrest. Islamist charities linked to Saeed, founder of the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorist group, were shut down.
To underpin the headline-grabbing arrest of Saeed, the Pakistani military announced an even more sweeping reform. Pakistan's 30,000 madrassas, or Islamic religious schools, were to be brought under state control.

The courses studied by more than three million students - from memorisation of the Koran, to Arabic literature, to Islamic jurisprudence - will be regulated and streamlined by the government.

"The government of Pakistan . . . has decided that these madrassas will be mainstreamed," General Asif Ghafoor, a military spokesman, announced. "An Islamic education will continue to be provided but there will be no hate speech."

It is a huge and controversial step, if it happens. Pakistan's madrassas have long been a bitter source of contention in its relations with neighbours and the West, viewed as a breeding ground for Islamist terror.
Thousands of budding militants have passed through the seminaries, weaned on jihadi propaganda by extremist clerics, before joining the ranks of al-Qaeda, Islamic State, LeT and the Taliban. Tens of millions of pounds were funnelled to militant groups through the schools from shadowy donors in the Middle East.

Millions more is thought to have been laundered through some schools from organised crime and the drug trade. The power of the clerics has protected the madrassas. Until now. Previous efforts to regulate the seminaries have petered out, with the government wary of antagonising conservatives, even when graduates of the madrassas have turned on Pakistan itself.

When the Pakistani Taliban killed more 140 people, most of them children, at a school in Peshawar in 2014, it was hailed as a tipping point. Amid public grief and fury, the military pledged to end the state's old distinction between "good and bad Taliban", launching a huge offensive against militant groups.

Hundreds were killed and thousands more arrested but the plan to clean up the madrassas and root out the jihadist ideology that has plagued Pakistan soon foundered.

Mr Khan's administration insists it will be different this time. The timing of the announcement, ahead of the Washington trip, was no coincidence. President Trump has been scathing in his criticism since attacking Pakistan's "lies and deceit" early last year. Accusing Pakistan of failing to combat terrorism, Mr Trump cut off military aid to Islamabad worth £240 million.

A floundering Pakistani economy was hit again when the country was added to the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) sanctions list for failing to combat money laundering and terror financing. The listing has cost Islamabad an estimated $10 billion, and a crucial meeting with the FATF now beckons in October.

If Pakistan cannot demonstrate progress, it could slip onto the "black list" with Iran and North Korea, incurring further, crippling sanctions.

The new regulations on the schools are sweeping. The education minister, Shafqat Mahmood, has said that modern subjects, including English, maths and social sciences, will be added to the syllabus, with the madrassas folded into the national education system. Bank accounts and sources of funding must be made transparent, while visas for foreign students have been virtually frozen while the changes are implemented.

Government officials have held dozens of meetings with the Ittehad-e-Tanzeemat-e-Madarais Pakistan, a national body representing madrassas of five Muslim sects. Even Pakistan's powerful military chief, General Qamar Javed Bajwa, has met with clerics to head off opposition to the move.

"The key issues under the discussion are madrassa registration and their curriculum, strengthening oversight of their funding sources, training of teachers to prevent the radicalisation of students, ensuring the cutting of madrassas' ties with banned militant groups, and issuing visas to foreign students," one Education Ministry official said.

Mufti Muhammad Naeem, principal of Jamia Binoria International, one of the biggest madrassas in Karachi, told The Times that General Bajwa had assured the clerics, "that the government's reforms will not compromise the madrassas' independence".

As with past initiatives, however, recent weeks have seen a groundswell of anger and fear among conservatives, who see the regulation as an affront to their ideology and are concerned the army may just follow through this time.

"The government has been 'mainstreaming' madrassas under pressure from western countries, but because of the military pressure no one has openly opposed it," said one seminary principal in Karachi, who did not want to be named. "The government cannot regulate their own schools where . . . children are not getting a proper education but only are focusing on the madrassas."

After a troubled first year in office grappling with a floundering economy, Mr Khan is also under pressure from conservatives over his response to the crisis in Kashmir, where India has imposed direct rule on its part of the divided region.

Hardline clerics have called on the prime minister to release jailed militants from Pakistani prisons and unleash them on Indian forces across the border. Islamabad is hampered by the looming FATF meeting, however, conscious that India will blame any spike in militant violence in Kashmir on Pakistan.

Europe and US are Going to Try and Deflect an Asteroid
Next week, asteroid researchers and spacecraft engineers from all around the world will gather in Rome to discuss the latest in asteroid defense.

The three-day International AIDA Workshop, which will run from Sept. 11th to 13th, will focus on the development of the joint NASA-ESA Asteroid Impact Deflection Assessment (AIDA) mission.

 deflect an asteroid

The purpose of this two-spacecraft system is to deflect the orbit of one of the bodies that make up the binary asteroid Didymos, which orbits between Earth and Mars. While one spacecraft will collide with a binary Near-Earth Asteroid (NEA), the other will observe the impact and survey the crash site in order to gather as much data as possible about this method of asteroid defense.

The target for this joint mission is Didymos, a near-Earth binary asteroid system that consists of a larger asteroid and an orbiting "moonlet". The main body of this system measures about 780 meters (2,560 ft) in diameter while its moonlet measures about 160 m (525 ft) in diameter. It was selected as part of a careful decision process that sought a deflection target that could provide a maximum scientific return.

Robert Mugabe
Former President of Zimbabwe

From Liberator to Oppressor. [People Change.]

Robert Gabriel Mugabe was a Zimbabwean revolutionary and politician who served as Prime Minister of Zimbabwe from 1980 to 1987 and then as President from 1987 to 2017. He chaired the Zimbabwe African National Union group from 1975 to 1980 and led its successor political party, the ZANU - Patriotic Front, from 1980 to 2017. Ideologically an African nationalist, during the 1970s and 1980s he identified as a Marxist-Leninist, and as a socialist after the 1990s. His policies have been described as Mugabeism.

Mugabe took power after seven years of a liberation war, with a reputation as "the thinking man's guerrilla". He held seven degrees, three earned behind bars as a political prisoner of then-Rhodesia's white minority rulers. Later, he would boast of another qualification: "a degree in violence".

Only three years after independence, he sent the army's North Korean-trained Fifth Brigade into the homeland of the Ndebele people to crush loyalists of his rival, Joshua Nkomo.

Human rights groups estimate as many as 20,000 people died in a two-year purge the opposition referred to as genocide.

Villages were destroyed wholesale, according to "Breaking the Silence", a 1997 report by the Catholic Commission for Justice and Peace, with some victims forced to dig their own graves.

Many years later, he acknowledged the episode was "very bad" and blamed it on renegade soldiers. Researchers say the evidence shows he knew what was happening all along.

As his health declined, his foes suspected a plan to pass control to a much younger wife they called "Gucci Grace" for her lavish lifestyle.

"It's the end of a very painful and sad chapter in the history of a young nation, in which a dictator, as he became old, surrendered his court to a gang of thieves around his wife," Chris Mutsvangwa, leader of Zimbabwe's influential liberation war veterans, told Reuters after Mugabe's removal.

Invitation to Think

 Invitation to Think

Westchester, New York
Heritage of Culture or Real Islam?
Kwame Madden [A grass roots activist.]

September 3 at 4:09 AM ·

There is a fight in America to hold on to Islam in accord with the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and his noble companions. There is an effort to shut down voices of dissent who refuse to keep quiet when they see modernist and liberal Muslims water down Islam to fit in.

Many of these Muslims may have migrated to America or are Indigenous Muslims but are confused concerning what they claim to believe. Recently there was a Muslim Heritage Festival in Westchester County, New York, that didn't want to advocate Islam but just wanted to show Islamic heritage from different parts of the world.

As we all know some things deemed to be Islamic are not and may go againstt Islam. Having a Festival just based on culture is not enough. Lets be honest. You can't have a Festival with the name Islam and don't clarify what is or isn't Islam.

There wer to be no Qurans. Da'wah literature was not be allowed nor were Islamic books. There are some in our community who didn't like the fact that some of us challenged this and they heard about a small effort to have the organizers who ever they were to relent and open the Festival to Islamic material and to be an Islamic Event as far as showing our way of life.

Some even made generalizations about the benefits that were still there because they were spineless.

Remember it was mainly a few (DOS) Descendants of Slaves from America who were like "come on there is no need to keep our deen (way of life) dormant" and don't just show the general public that we Muslims are just like you! They were trying to show that that we can have fun as though Muslims can't enjoy themselves!

Really we have to prove that. Bottom line there is a battle in our community and the lines have been drawn. Many Muslim organizations have been co-opted by liberal accommodationists agendas set to please white society . As one (DOS) sister who is a school principal said at our table, she was looking for a masjid that was not about assimilation. Alhamdulillah we got to set up a table with books and da'wah literature by Allah's permission and opening up the heart of the one organizer, the only one we were familiar with, by a few phone calls.

Allah is the one who turns hearts and that is what we were hoping for that this Muslimah would change her mind.Alhamdulillah!

One of the reasons we have reached this point of appeasing white society is because we have a leadership in many cases which is bent on just fitting in with mainstream American society. And they are bent on telling our community to follow their way and that they know best. And if you reject their way you are a rebel, trouble maker, a Wahhabi [a code word for extremist from many modernists.]

Excuse me but as (DOS) Muslim I come from a people who have a history of resistance and no matter what will never be able to assimilate totally because of the American color line and other undergirding factors.

Let me get back on track. This festival has a lot of potential we should work to improve on this event . We should also encourage Muslims that this is our event, and come dressed in your culture garb and let's represent the title of the event, and first and foremost Islam. Especially we brothers we got to do better, meaning step it up. Westchester County really needs to have a Conference and Workshops addressing the racial, class, divide and also why they don't have countywide Majlis Shurah that will advocate for our community. The Community needs their representatives to lead and others Inshallah will join.

Syria
Defeated Regime Forces Unable to Advance over 9 days, despite Russian bombing.
ISIS creating chaos along the Euphrates river.

After regime forces were beaten back last week by the mujahideen, Russian and Turkey played this trick of declaring cease fire. However, the Russians kept bombing day after day and the Iranian and Shia militias kept firing artillery into the Muslim areas. It did not work and for 9 days there has been no regime advance. On their side, the mujahideen too broke the "cease fire" in several places and blew up several regime tanks and trucks. They advanced but were stopped by Turkey.

In the North, Syrian fighters allied to Turkey in the Aleppo area, are exchanging artillery and mortar fire with Kurdish communist [YPG]. These exchanges have been going on for three days.

In North Central Syria, US and Turkish troops are carrying out joint patrols.

There is chaos in Deir ez Zor province. On September 8, residents of villages along the southern Euphrates protested against the SDF Kurds who have detained civilians falsely accusing them of being ISIS. Meanwhile, ISIS night raids on SDF supporters are going on nightly, causing higher and higher casualties of the Kurds supporting USA.

A US soldier advising the Kurds was also injured in the combat. SOHR is saying that ISIS fighters are active in the entire areas bordering the Euphrates river. US helicoptors are raiding them and have killed a few, but ISIS activity has not gone down.

People of Deraa province [south Syria] are continuing to protest against Assad and calling for his overthrow.

Latest News: the mujahideen have occupied the highway in the north, connecting Aleppo to Damascus. There is also fighting reported in eastern Latakia province where Chinese Muslims are resisting the regimes military. It is a stalemate.

Afghanistan
Trump calls off Peace Talks with the Taliban.

A Taliban attack in Kabul killed 20 people including an American soldier and a soldier from NATO's Romanian troops. This led to Trump calling off the peace talks.

The Taliban say the US will lose owing to calling off the peace talks. Almost half the country is now under Taliban control, and all of it would be if it were not for the US Airforce.

However in the north, Badakhshan province, a large regime attack has killed scores of Taliban and captured the area they had taken a long time back.

Support for ISIS seems to be steadily on the rise owing to the peace talks.

Iraq
Serious IS development in Iraq.

Reports of clashes have come from various parts of Iraq, including a big bomb blast on a Shia gathering in Baghdad. In other areas, fighting is reporting in Mosul, and various parts of Nineveh province or Diyala province [near Iran].

In the mountain areas the situation was so serious that the US Airforce had to bomb IS, killing 8 of them. [IS has no defense against air strikes].

The country is tense as the main Shia event occurs on Muharram 10. Shia atrocities against suspected IS supporters have created a situation.

The Meaning of Patience in Islam

Abu Hurairah (Allah be pleased with him) reported that PROPHET (peace be upon him) said...
"Never a believer is stricken with a discomfort, an illness, an anxiety, a grief or mental worry or even the pricking of a thorn but Allah will expiate his sins on account of his patience".
[Source ~Al-Bukhari ~Book 32 H # 6243 ~]

"Patience does not mean to passively endure. It means to be farsighted enough to trust the end result of a process....
What does patience mean...?
It means to Look at the Thorn and see the Rose, to look at the Night and see the Dawn. Impatience means to be shortsighted as to not able to see the outcome. The lovers of God never run out of Patience, for they know that Time is needed for the Crescent Moon to become Full."

Thankfulness and Patience....
"Whatever happens in your life, no matter how troubling things might seem, do Not enter the neighbourhood of Despair. Even when all doors remained closed, ALLAH will open up a new path only for you.

Be Thankful!
It is easy to be thankful when all is well. But .... be Thankful not only for what you have been given but also for all that you have been denied!!
