Al Harith bin Hisham asked the Prophet, "How does the divine
inspiration come to you?" He replied, "In all these ways:
The Angel sometimes comes to me with a voice which resembles
the sound of a ringing bell, and when this state abandons
me, I remember what the Angel has said, and this type of
Divine Inspiration is the hardest on me; and sometimes the
Angel comes to me in the shape of a man and talks to me, and
I understand and remember what he says."

China has been using forced labor camps and prison labor to
profit off of the cotton industry in its Xinjiang region, a
non-profit organization said Thursday.
U.S. companies that have been using materials originating in
these prison labor camps include Disney, Adidas, Ralph
Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger and Nike, according to Louisa Greve,
Director for External Affairs of the Uyghur Human Rights
Project.
"There are obvious attempts to conceal from the outside
world [China's] actual plan," Greve said at a panel hosted
by CPIC
Tahir Hamut, like other members of the Uighur Muslim ethnic
minority growing up in Xinjiang, began working in a labor
camp during elementary school at the command of the Chinese
government.
"Everyone is forced to do all types of hard labor or face
punishment," he said. "Anyone unable to complete their
duties will be beaten."
Hamut eventually escaped to the U.S. with his family in
2017, but his brother was subsequently arrested by Chinese
authorities.
There are an estimated 500,000 to 800,000 Uighur prisoners
working in these camps, the report says.
Up to one million people, or about 7% of the Muslim
population in Xinjiang, have been incarcerated in an
expanding network of "political re-education" camps,
according to U.S. officials and UN experts.

Hundreds of Palestinians across the Gaza Strip headed Friday
toward the security fence area to participate in the weekly
anti-occupation protests known as the Great March of
Return.
The Higher National Commission of the Great March of Return
and Breaking of the Gaza Siege named this Friday's rallies
"We are ready to protect Al-Aqsa" in commemoration of the
50th anniversary of the first attempt to burn Al-Aqsa Mosque
and the continued repressive procedures by the Israeli
authorities in Jerusalem.
Since the Gaza rallies began in March last year, nearly 270
protesters have been martyred — and thousands more
wounded — by Israeli forces at the security fence
areas with Gaza.
Demonstrators demand an end to Israel's 12-year-old blockade
to the Gaza Strip, which has shattered the coastal enclave's
economy and deprived its two million inhabitants of free
movement in and out from Gaza and prevented many basic
amenities.
[For once, the Palestinians struck back and killed an
Israeili soldier in training.]

Kashmir
Friday August 23
Security forces in Indian-administered Kashmir have clashed
with protesters in the city of Srinagar.
Hundreds of people took part in a demonstration after Friday
prayers in the Soura neighbourhood.
The march turned violent as protesters threw stones at
security forces, who retaliated with tear gas and pellets.
At least two were injured.
Tensions have been escalating since the Indian government
removed the region's partial autonomy three weeks ago.
Information has also been scarce, as internet and mobile
networks have mostly been blocked. [BBC]

Question and Answers
Fatwas or Islamic Rulings.
New Trend receives questions about Islam every month. If we
don't answer them, the questioners go to other study groups
and sometimes get sect oriented answers,
New Trend will use its editorial segmen to answer some of
these questions. We use the Qur'an and authentic hadith as
our sources. If we make mistakes, we welcome corrections but
we will avoid debate and open ended conroversies.
The most important questions we receive are about the rights
of women. As Iran is now a regional power, its supporters
are often foremost in twisting Islam into a sectarian
angle.
The fitrst one we will answer is about mutah or temporary
marriage,
Muta' [Temporary marriage] is forbidden in Islam
Ali, r.a., narrates: The messenger of Allah, pbuh, forbade
temporary marriage, muta', at Khyber....
{Sahih Bukhari and Sahih Muslim.]
Comment by Kaukab Siddique: Part of the exploitation of
women is the behavior of men who take women for their sexual
pleasure and then abandon them after they have had their
pleasure. Usually this behavior is a form of prostitution
for a fixed period of time in which the woman is given a
token gift.
Unfortunately, to undermine Islam, the Iranians have made
temporary marriage a center piece of their religion. They
claim to revere Ali, r.a., but they ignore this authentic
hadith narrated by Ali, r.a.
Ali, r.a., was the hero of the battle of Khyber . Hadith
about his bravery at Khyber is accepted by Iranian sect,
which they like to embellish, but they try to undermine the
hadith against temporary marriage by claiming that it was
forbidden by Umar, r.a., and not by the Prophet, pbuh.
Mut'a or temporary marriage was widespread in pagan Arabia
along with many other oppressive practices which degraded
women.
Prophet Muhammad, pbuh, outlawed muta' but because it was
widespread, it took two phases of banning for it to be
stamped out. One was at the battle against the Jews of
Khyber and the other against the pagans at the conquest of
Makka also known as the campaign of Awtas.
"Ali, r.a., narrates that temporary marriage [mut'a] was
prohibited by the Prophet, pbuh, at Khyber ...." Hadith in
the collections of Bukhari, Muslim, Muwatta of Malik, Sunan
of Nasai, Tirmizi and ibn Maja]
Before the battle began, mut'a was permitted. Similarly,
according to Arab custom, it was permitted at Awtas but
then:
"Subra Juhni, r.a., narrates that the messenger of Allah,
pbuh, said Mut'a was permitted to you but now Allah Almighty
has declared it forbidden [haram] for all time to come till
the Day of Judgement." [Hadith collected by Muslim, Abu
Dawud, Nasai, ibn Maja and Ahmad ibn Hanbal.
Mut'a is considered valid by the Iranian sect because of a
twisted interpretation of a verse in the Qur'an. Hadith is
always decisive in interepretation of the Qur'an. Mut'a is a
form of prostitution carried out under the cover of
religion. Women are sexually used in Mut'a for an hour or
two or a week or two in exchange for money or a gift.

Did Trump & Modi Conspire Against Imran Khan?
Massive Islamic Rally in Peshawar to Liberate Kashmir.
by Qaiser Sharif
LAHORE- Aug 25: Jamaat-e-Islami chief Sirajul Haq said the
people of Indian Occupied Kashmir are in worst pain but the
rulers in Islamabad are sitting silent and looking towards
the US for solution of the dispute.
Addressing "Save Kashmir March" in Peshawar on Sunday, he
demanded the government take concrete steps for the support
of the people of the occupied valley.
This was the 21st day of curfew in Indian occupied Kashmir
and a worse humanitarian crisis was impending in the region
which could cost thousands of lives including elderly, women
and children, he warned.
Siraj said reports were coming about shortages of food and
drugs from the valley.
Saying that US President Donald Trump's offer for mediation
on Kashmir was a fraud, the JI chief said that it had become
clear now that the offer was merely a trap laid for Prime
Minister Imran Khan by the US and India under a
conspiracy.
India went to revoke the Article 370 and 35A at a time when
the Pakistani government was over excited on Trump's offer,
he said.
Now without wasting any further time, he said, the rulers
should announce a solid strategy on Kashmir without pinning
any hope on the UN and the western world that they would
come to resolve the dispute between India and Pakistan.
The people of Pakistan were looking towards Islamabad that
it would go to every extent for the support of the people of
held Kashmir, he said. If the rulers failed to extend any
support at this testing time, he warned, the nation would
never forgive them. He said the JI was organizing people on
Kashmir cause across the country.
The next march, he announced, would be organized in Karachi
on September 1 where thousands of people will express
solidarity with their brothers and sisters in Kashmir.
He said New Delhi could never keep the people of Kashmir as
their slaves. He said the sun of freedom will soon rise on
the valley and their sacrifices to get freedom from Indian
yoke will soon bear fruit.
Siraj said the JI wanted peace in Afghanistan which was only
possible when the foreign forces would leave the Afghan
soil. He said Afghan people should be allowed to decide
about their future.
Thousands of people holding banners and placards
participated in the march. The chanted slogans against
Indian armed forces, Indian premier and vowed to continue
their full support to the Kashmiris.
JI leaders Mustaq Ahmed, Dr Khalid Mahmood, Atiqur Rahman
and Qaisar Sharif also addressed the participants.

Iraq
Latest research from US author
Black Flags author Warrick, expert researcher on ISIS, said
today that today it's easier for the Islamic militant group
to move around and strike.
The cities controlled by ISIS were reduced to rubble by the
air forces of the US, Britain, France and Canada. Thousands
of civilians were killed by US and Shia allies, including
40,000 in Mosul alone [The Independent UK] and 18000
civilians in al-Raqqa [still being counted].
Warrick says it was expensive for ISIS to maintain the
cities but now it can wage insurgent warfare at little cost
because it has a support base in the population of eastern
Syria and western and northwestern Iraq. The Caliphate in
its physical shape has been destroyed but the concept has
spread in global Muslim world.

Russia & Iran Capture Border town in Irbid. Turkey did
Nothing. Fighting in Latakia. Curfew in southern Euphrates.
Bombing & Barrels Continue. Population Fleeing.
Mujahideen in Northern Hama stopped Regime. Chaos in Deraa
as people resist Assad.
After week long clashes in southern Irbid province and
northern Hama, mujahideen have stopped regime advances
despite heavy bombing by Russia, shelling by Iranian
artillery and barrel bombs from Assad's helicopers.
August 25, In the latest clash, 22 regime troops [Shia
militia] were killed along with 13 mujahideen [noted by
Observatory]. These clashes were at al-Taman'aa, east of
Khan Shaykhun.
Earlier in the week, Islamic defenders withdrew from Khan
Shaykhun to avoid being encircled by regime forces.
Alawite-Shia militias [called the Home Army] entered the
town and looted homes and set fires.
Russian bombing is continuing with short interruptions in
Irbid province and northern Hama. The population is fleeing
to the north towards Turkey. [40,000 approx. fled.]
Regime forces captured 6 villages in northern Hama province,
Strangely enough there is a Turkish military post here at
Morek but it did nothing. Rumors are afloat that Turkey is
allowing
the regime to take over though Russia and Turkey had made
the area off limit to regime attacks.
In Deir Ez Zor, eastern bank of the Euphrates rives, ISIS
guerrilla warfare against US-backed SDF Kurds is picking up.
Every day of week there were attacks on SDF troops with
increasing death toll and wounded. SDF has now imposed
curfew in the area particularly al-Busayr town.
Deraa province is in a chaotic situation with the public
finding opportunities to attack Assad's troops and
officials. In turn the regime is arresting and torturing
"suspects."

Jay-Z: A hustler Through and Through
How Kaepernick's Peaceful Anti-Police- Brutality Protests
were Sidelined.
by Sis, Aisha [Jamaat al-Muslimeen New York City]
Jay-Z's entertainment company, Roc Nation, has made a deal
with the NFL that allows Roc Nation to co-produce NFL
entertainment venues, such as the Super Bowl. Roc Nation
will also partner with the NFL's Inspire Change initiative,
which was created by the league in an effort to curtail the
kneeling protest.
Former NFL player Colin Kaepernick's national anthem
kneeling protest was in response to the alarming inability
of prosecutors to get indictments against police officers in
questionable killings of unarmed black people. However,
oblivious, racist fans called sports radio programs
demanding that black professional athletes do more than just
hand out 200 turkeys for Thanksgiving every year and let law
enforcement do its job. This inane critique had absolutely
nothing to do with the inability to prosecute suspected
criminal cops.
NFL player Eric Reid called Inspire Change an NFL maneuver
to hijack the national anthem protest. Recently, Eric Reid
and Colin Kaepernick reached a settlement with the NFL in a
lawsuit where they alleged that they were blackballed and
prevented from playing in the league.
African-Americans working for the mainstream media are all
in support of Jay-Z's deal with the NFL. However, critics
see Jay-Z's move as very questionable. Some critics have
gone as far as to say that he should not do any deals with
he NFL until Kaepernick is reinstated. There are still some
players kneeling in protest.
But, after Mahmud Abdul-Rauf's 1994 national anthem protest,
the NBA has mastered the ability to squash any type of
activism or social awareness among players.
For example, during the 2016 Espys, the Banana Boat Boys
(Dywane Wade, LeBron James, Chris Paul & Carmelo Anthony)
stood on stage to voice their own disapproval of the police
killings of unarmed black people. Afterwards, there were
media murmurs of possible kneeling protests in the NBA and
how NBA profits could take a hit, as many claim the NFL's
had taken. But, no worries. The Banana Boat Boys did not
like making sacrifices. But, they did like making
commercials.
The NBA did some ads showing police officers playing
basketball with inner-city kids in their Police Athletic
League (PAL) and sitting with NBA players having dialogue,
etc. The mainstream media has been successful, once again,
in putting black professionals on the defensive for having
the audacity to criticize America while earning millions of
dollars!
Well, thanks to the NFL, NBA, half-stepping black
professional athletes, and now Jay-Z, the purpose of the
kneeling protest is lost. But, it was never supposed to
work, anyway. A corrupt system cannot be changed from within
it. It must be avoided at all cost, if possible. Allah tells
us this in Al-Kaafiruun (109:6): "To you be your way and to
me be mine." Maybe it is good that Colin Kaepernick is no
longer an NFL player.

Warning to my Muslim family on Fake Leaders
by Salim Abdul-Khaliq [Founder of the Flaming Crescent
Society]
Do not be guilty of personality worship of leaders. Those
who make created beings equal to Allah have a heavy price to
pay on the day of Judgement.
Stop praising the names of men above that of Allah. Your
sheiks , imams , Mullahs and ministers did not create
themselves.
I had one Muslim tell me if I did not follow his Imam I was
not a true Muslim. What a fool! His Ieader did not create
me!
Whatever knowledge wisdom or fame they have was blessed to
them by Allah only. Some of you may find yourself in the
hellfire if you are not careful. Shortly those you idolize
in place of Allah will be DEAD.
Allah dies not.

A Dialogue between a Scholar and an Alcoholic !
Alcoholic: Do you think I am doing wrong by eating a date ?
Scholar:No !
Alcoholic: And if I ate with it some grass ?
Scholar: There is nothing wrong with that.
Alcoholic: And if I were to wash them down with water ?
Scholar: Drink and enjoy.
Alcoholic: Since all of that is permissible, then why do you forbid
us from alcohol, which consists of the above mentioned
ingredients?
Scholar: If I poured water on top of you, would that hurt you
?
Alcoholic: No it would not.
Scholar: And if I sprinkle some dirt in that, would you be hurt?
Alcoholic: That would not harm me.
Scholar:But if I were to mix it water and dirt together and through a
process make a large brick from those two elements, and then
were I to throw that large brick at you, would you be hurt?
Alcoholic: That would kill me !
Scholar: The same goes for Alcohol !
