Concern for Mother and Baby is more important than extended
prayer in the second holiest mosque of Islam.
Narrated 'Abdullah bin 'Abi Qatada, .: My father said, "The
Prophet said, 'When I stand for prayer, I intend to prolong
it but on hearing the cries of a child, I cut it short, as I
dislike to trouble the child's mother.'
Seeking God thru Open Mind.
The Spiritual Journey of an American
by Karin Friedemann
"Mankind was created neither in vain nor by chance: Does man
suppose he will be left in futility?" (75:36)
This is the spring of answered prayers for me, it seems,
after years of tearful supplication for help escaping the
rabbit hole of loneliness, fear, rage, rejection, and
exhaustion. Frustrated by life, I had retreated into my mind
and disconnected from my body. My life became endless pain
caused by generalized weakness from sitting in a chair for
years on end without dancing, without reaching upwards. My
spine was crushing in on myself. It hurt to walk, to sit, to
drive.
It would be a lie to say that a person could just pull
themselves out of a funk whether by sheer will or by
adherence to religious precepts. Feeling guilty about sin is
not always enough to start living more positively. There are
usually reasons why we are stuck and those reasons need to
be addressed first because chronic weakness is a symptom of
disease, not the disease itself. Even if we are diagnosed
with "depression," is that the disease defined or just a
description?
While Allah is always there, sometimes we need an actual
person whose vibrational frequency can help us to elevate
our own personal frequency, who can pull us up spiritually.
It has to be at the right time and place, and there is a
hierarchy of needs. For me, I needed protection and
relationship first. Attaining these required courage,
patience and trust. Once I had acquired an adequate level of
security I found that instead of being totally happy I was
actually even more discontent because I found myself at a
place where I was now able and wanted to confront some of my
problems. I became angry at my situation, tired of being
tired.
I prayed to Allah to remind me, to bring me back to the
place where I was mentally when I was young and fearless,
full of light and hope and energy, back to the time when I
was actively seeking enlightenment. My soul yearned to come
back inside my body, to enjoy life, not just soothe or else
endure my pain. In my youth I was remembering God 24/7. I
didn't have a care.
In a divinely inspired moment I quit my desk job without a
Plan B. Miraculously, the very next day I was offered a
higher paying job doing light housework. Within a week I
noticed that my level of physical pain was greatly reduced
and that I had increased energy. I was just generally
happier. I slept better because my neck didn't hurt. Because
I had to get up anyway I started going to the gym in the
morning sometimes. It was great to have a boss that hugged
me like I saved her life.
I thought about the law of inertia: whatever you are doing
you will tend to keep doing it. So, when my job is sitting
at the computer, when I am done with my job I will tend to
check my Facebook or listen to some youtube videos. Now that
I am a housekeeper, when I am done with my job I come home
and start straightening up my apartment because that's what
I'm geared up to do.
Suddenly I noticed the photos of an Indian woman with a red
dot on her forehead displayed all over the house that I was
cleaning. She looked very familiar. Then I remembered, when
I was 18 I took a trip out to New York to attend a spiritual
retreat led by this woman guru.
I had learned about her when I was working at a Palestinian
restaurant, Jerusalem Garden in Ann Arbor, Michigan. There
was a very tall black man, a mailman, who used to come in
there frequently. He used to always pray over his food
before he ate it. He belonged to an Indian mystic sect which
follows this woman teacher. My boss, a devout Muslim, told
me, "He is a good man." This same boss would not hesitate to
tell an atheist (when asked) that they were hell-bound. He
was happier to see anybody pray than not to pray, regardless
of religion.
This man, who was aged 40 whereas I was 16, began to invite
me on long walks in the park during which we would discuss
spiritual matters. He had taken a vow of celibacy and from
what I could tell, his intention was purely to convert me to
his way of life. I attended some of the meditation sessions,
which were geared toward uplifting the heart. I was familiar
with Zen Buddhism and its somewhat severe practices and so
found his Hindu sect sort of fluffy but nice.
When I arrived at the ashram in New York, my friend (not the
mailman) and I were turned away on account of being scruffy
hippies. We had been sleeping in the car and bathing in
streams along the way there. "It would be disrespectful to
the teacher for us to let you in here with holes in your
clothes," they told us. Sincere seekers, we spent two or
three hours patching our clothes with needle and thread and
returned to the gate, where we were grudgingly given
entrance. The ashram itself was quite tacky compared to the
opulence of a Hare Krsna temple. The lady guru gave a
lecture on how to attain happiness through spiritual
contentment with simultaneous video. At the time, I found
the experience somewhat vacuous and came to the conclusion
that this spiritual sect was a rich person's feel-good
religion. I wasn't angry about the way we were treated, for
I knew that if we had met the teacher personally, she would
have welcomed us.
It just seems like my life came full circle this spring. My
new employer told me she had been feeling at wit's end and
therefore visited her meditation center, whereupon she felt
like the guru was telling her, "Get help." And very next
day, I am the help. I truly believe that our prayers and
karma and fate all worked in perfect coordination to save us
from our immediate problems.
Yesterday I got the urge to garden. Squatting in the dirt
for a while was very strenuous for me but when I stood up,
almost all my pain was gone. Leg muscles that have been
spasming for years suddenly started working again. I can
feel them and move them without a loud pop!
I'm not sure if I can trust it but literally the past two
days are the first two days without searing pain in my legs
in years. God answered my prayers to help me remember the
total faith in fate that I enjoyed in my youth when I was a
seeker and unsure of the right path. It taught me that God
can use many avenues to reach a person, once the person is
open to receive.
Next time, I will try to discuss more about how mysticism
can complement Islamic theology and practice and its overlap
with some aspects of Indian and Chinese philosophy.

China: Government orders Muslims to sell cigarettes and
alcohol
by Morgan Winsor
[With thanks to Sis. Hamdiyya, Jamaat al-Muslimeen,
Charlotte, North Carolina]
Muslim shops and restaurants in a Chinese village have been
ordered to sell alcohol and cigarettes in an effort to
weaken Islam's hold on residents in China's Xinjiang region.
Shop owners who refuse face closure and prosecution, Radio
Free Asia (RFA) reported Monday. It is the latest in a
series of anti-Muslim campaigns by Chinese authorities in
the name of fighting religious extremism to undermine Islam
influence in northwestern China.
Chinese authorities in Laskuy township issued a notice to
residents in Aktash village last week saying in part, "all
restaurants and supermarkets in our village should place
five different brands of alcohol and cigarettes in their
shops before [May 1, 2015]." Shopkeepers were also
instructed to promote the products in "eye-catching
displays." Authorities warned that "anybody who neglects
this notice and fails to act will see their shops sealed
off, their business suspended, and legal action pursued
against them." The notice also said the order was handed
down from the top ranks of China's ruling Communist
Party.
"We have a campaign to weaken religion here and this is part
of that campaign," Adil Sulayman, Aktash village party
committee secretary, told RFA's Uighur Service. "Since 2012,
people have stopped selling alcohol and cigarettes through
their businesses. Even those who benefited financially from
the practice have given it up because they fear public
scorn. That is why [the order was issued]."
Many locals in Aktash and other parts of Laskuy who practice
Islam have decided to abstain from drinking and smoking, and
selling the products was considered taboo for religious
reasons. Sulayman told RFA that authorities in Xinjian
viewed nonsmoking Muslims as "a form of religious
extremism." The Quran refers to the use of alcohol and any
intoxicants or self-destructive practices as a sin.
Government officials and children in the predominately
Muslim Xinjiang province have been banned from attending
mosques or observing the Muslim fasting month of Ramadan,
which begins June 17. In some areas, women are banned from
wearing face-covering veils and men discouraged from growing
long beards, the Washington Post said.

How to bring up Children as good Muslims?
A nine year old stood & Spoke in front of 500 people after
juma'
Allah (subhanahu wa taala) provided parents with natural
tools and resources to help them rare their children.
A righteous father is the one who honors his children by
treating them with honor when no one is looking.
Honor your children and they will honor you.
Love your children and they will love you.
Show your children mercy and they will be merciful.
The love of the parent is natural, powerful and present in
every little thing they do or say to their children.
Do not teach your children to look down on others by looking
down at their mother or others.
Embrace your children and use the words of encouragement and
wisdom with your children such as "I love you", "may Allah
be pleased with you", "may Allah bless you" and "I am proud
of you".
Raising righteous children is very POSSIBLE....just be a
righteous parent.
Learn how to become a story teller, a poet and a singer
because you need all these skills when raising your
children.
Allah chose you to be a father for your child, meaning he
chose you to raise your child.
My son Osama ( 9 years old ) wants to become a Sheikh so I

involve your children. Treasure every moment with them.

President Erdogan Calls Highly Secularized Kurds back to
Islam. He is opposed by an "Alevi" Kurd
[This report is excerpted from AFP which is quite hostile to
Islam but the facts are clear.---Editor NT]
In an unprecedented gesture by a Turkish politician in
recent times, Erdogan waved a copy of the Muslim holy book
the Koran translated into Kurdish during a rally this week
in the Kurdish-majority southeast.
"Turkey has never seen a president who leads an election
campaign with a copy of the Koran in his hand," Professor
Ilter Turan of Istanbul's Bilgi University, told AFP.
The ruling Islamic-rooted Justice and Development Party
(AKP) -- co-founded by Erdogan and in power since 2002 -- is
widely expected to win the June 7 legislative polls but
faces an uphill struggle to win the two-thirds majority it
needs to change the constitution.
One of the main obstacles could come from the pro-Kurdish
People's Democratic Party (HDP) and AKP leaders are bashing
the party in the hope of keeping it well under the 10
percent quota needed to win seats in parliament.
Erdogan's repeated attacks on the HDP during a tour of the
southeast this week were controversial since as head of
state he is supposed to stay outside politics.
Photo: President Erdogan holding up a Kurdish translation of
the Qur'an.
But his use of religion to deter Turkey's Kurds -- who
account for some 20 percent of the population -- from
backing the HDP has raised eyebrows in a country whose
political system rests on the secular foundations laid by
Mustafa Kemal Ataturk at its creation.
"Erdogan is trying to base his campaign on religion and melt
down ethnicity-based policies in this particular region in
order to boost the AKP's votes," Turan said. "He (Erdogan)
fears he will be isolated and weakened if the AKP loses
support."
- 'I am neutral' -
Erdogan, who served as premier from 2003-2014 before
becoming president, has urged Turkey to send 400 AKP
lawmakers to the 550-member parliament so the party can
change the constitution into the presidential system he
craves.
The HDP lodged an unsuccessful complaint with the election
authority this week, accusing Erdogan of violating the
president's impartiality and using the Koran as a
"propoganda tool".
Erdogan has denied the claims saying: "I am neutral
vis-a-vis all parties but naturally one party is closer to
my heart." Huda Kaya, the HDP's candidate for Istanbul,
said a president supposed to embrace all "cannot deliver a
message for only one faith with a Koran in his hand."
"He should treat everyone the same rather than resort to
discriminatory language that incites hatred," she told AFP.
Promoting a secular agenda, the HDP pledges to abolish the
government directorate of religious affairs, as well as
mandatory religion courses.
- 'Koran an instrument' -
Erdogan's election to president means this is the first poll
where the AKP is not led by the charismatic politician, with
the burden for day-to-day campaigning on the bookish Premier
Ahmet Davutoglu.
Unlike previous elections where the AKP won all-conquering
victories, this election looks tighter with the party
expected to win 38-45 percent of votes according to the most
recent polls.
Kemal Kilicdaroglu, leader of the main opposition secular
Republican People's Party (CHP), accused Erdogan of using
the same political tactics as Kenan Evren, the general
behind the 1980 military coup and a former president.
Evren, son of an imam who took the helm in the wake of the
bloody coup, often recited verses from the Koran in public
appearances, pushing for more conservatism in society as a
bulwark to leftist extremism.
"Is the Koran something that can be used as an instrument?"
asked the CHP leader.
Erdogan lost no time in hitting back. "Mr Kilicdaroglu, I
have grown up with the Koran and I live with the Koran."
"What place the Koran has in your life is obvious," he said,
in a veiled jibe at the CHP leader's adherence to the Alevi
sect.
Necip Taylan, an AKP lawmaker from 2007 to 2011 and retired
professor, told AFP that Erdogan's embrace of Islam was
genuine.
"It's not new that the president is devout. Religion has
always played a part in his life since childhood," he said.
But Taylan said he was "concerned in general with the
emphasis on religion and sacred values in political
debates."

Feeding Hungry Families in Ethiopia:
by Sis. Ashira Naim
[Jamaat al-Muslimeen Baltimore]
We would call this the 2nd leg of this year's feeding
program; however our work had more than 2 legs. Therefore
suffice it to say we were able to visit more places and stay
a longer time and so we definitely had more "struggles."
First, we travelled through the now familiar streets of
Addis Ababa that lead to the 2 largest masajid in the city.
Fortunately, these holy places are not far from each other
and one of them can be seen from the hotel. All along the
way to either of them are poor, hungry and begging people
amongst the general walkers who are workers busy selling
their wares, shoppers, and travelers from many parts of the
world. Some are students going to and fro school; young boys
(who cannot afford to go to school) wearing aprons and
delivering orders of food in order that they can afford to
eat; There are so many places to eat along the streets, and
there are innumerable coffee and tea spots and clothing and
appliances and shoes—we're near the piazza! At the
piazza there's "everything" for sale—the best made
items.
The struggle here is to work the streets in an inconspicuous
manner so that the most needy can be discerned, then to give
the envelope with 60 birrs ($3) to someone and tell them "it
is from Allah" as they spend time bowing and thanking you
and to keep moving before you are overwhelmed by a deluge of
hungry people. So, on to the next block up the street, you
repeat the art of discerning—maybe it's time to sit at
the outdoor tea spot and watch a while to see who you will
give an envelope. The sun is hot, but when you sit with some
tea or coffee or a cold soda pop, you feel refreshed again
and back to work—Alhumdulillah!
After 5 or 6 days in Addis for the 2nd time, it's off to a
town first called Nazareth and now called Adama, and both
names are acceptable. This town is known for its beauty, its
warm and breezy weather, and for its natural hot water
springs which are said to heal. Many retirees from Addis are
building homes in Nazareth. It is a much less-crowded town
and, therefore, appears more peaceful. It is in this town
that we were rewarded with helpers. The bajaj driver not
only drove me to the poorest villages, he also volunteered
to help distribute the envelopes, etc. The next day, without
my knowledge or permission, the bajaj driver told one man
about our visit and distribution in the villages. That man
excitedly informed me at the breakfast table in the
courtyard of the hotel. At first I felt uneasy as it was not
the intention that anyone would be "bragging" about our
work. However, when the man explained that he was interested
in our work and wanted to be a part of it, I felt a whole
lot better and forgiving of the driver.
Downtown Nazareth has its share of poor and hungry walking
the streets—many are women and children. The poorest
muslim women and children are usually found right outside
the masjid walls where vendors settle and/or right outside
muslim restaurants—places where they know they will
get help. However, it is not uncommon to find a muslim woman
in the mix of otherwise unidentified women begging in the
streets or living in deplorable conditions, usually
accompanied by one or two small children.
We stayed in Nazareth a little over two weeks distributing
birrs to as many as we could of the most needy on the
streets and in the villages. If you would be interested in

orphan, and the captive,"............... (translation by

WASHINGTON: The United States has handed over 14 combat
aircraft, 59 military trainer jets and 374 armoured
personnel carriers to Pakistan from the weapons it is
leaving behind in the region, reports the Congressional
Research Service.
The agency, which prepares internal reports for the US
Congress, reported that the weapons supplied to Pakistan
were earlier used by American forces in Afghanistan and
Iraq.

The United States is withdrawing its forces from Afghanistan
and has offered some of the weapons it is leaving behind to
its allies in the region, including Afghanistan and
Pakistan.
Arms supplied to Pakistan were earlier used by American
forces in Afghanistan and Iraq
Technically, these weapons are classified as "Excessive
Defence Articles", i.e. equipment used by the US forces,
which can be supplied to allied nations at withdrawal
instead of shipping them back to the United States.
The weapons include F-16 armaments including 500 AMRAAM
air-to-air missiles; 1,450 2,000-pound bombs; 500 JDAM Tail
Kits for gravity bombs; and 1,600 Enhanced Paveway
laser-guided kits. All this has cost Pakistan $629
million.
Pakistan has also paid $298 million for 100 harpoon
anti-ship missiles, 500 sidewinder air-to-air missiles ($95
million); and seven Phalanx Close-In Weapons System naval
guns ($80 million).
Under Coalition Support Funds (in the Pentagon budget),
Pakistan received 26 Bell 412EP utility helicopters, along
with related parts and maintenance, valued at $235
million.
Pakistan is also receiving military equipment with a mix of
its national funds and America's foreign military
funding.
These include 60 Mid-Life Update kits for F-16A/B combat
aircraft (valued at $891 million, with $477 million of this
in FMF).
Pakistan has purchased 45 such kits, with all upgrades
completed to date. This include 115 M-109 self-propelled
howitzers ($87 million, with $53 million in FMF).

Clear Case of Treachery Against the Muslim Ummah:
CAIR & Blasphemy Against Prophet Muhammad, pbuh.
by Sis. Aisha [Jamaat al-Muslimeen, New York City]
Unbelievable! Pamela Geller and her minions have made a
concerted effort to provoke and antagonize us Muslims and
the Dallas-Fort Worth CAIR's response is: "We reiterate the
American Muslim community's support for freedom of speech -
even bigoted speech - and its repudiation of terrorism in
any form."
Organizations like CAIR, ISNA, MSA, etc have failed the
Muslim communities, nationwide. The Holy Qur'an strengthens
and emboldens us to act against oppression, not embrace it.
These wimps can never convince me that they have ever picked
up a Qur'an to read in their life! They have done more than
failed us. They have deserted us! Betrayed us!
Imagine contacting these weak "Muslim" organizations to seek
refuge from Justice Department harassment only to find that
they have the FBI on speed dial! It is like being in a
1970's horror film where you can't tell your friends from
your enemies.
The Southern Poverty Law Center has listed American Freedom
Defense Initiative as a hate group. I am just as suspicious
of the Southern Poverty Law Center but, I digress. It would
make sense that the U. S. government would take certain
measures against the American Freedom Defense Initiative to
ensure the safety of other Americans. But, this organization
is working for this government.
I have no faith that the American government will protect
the rights of Muslims or the honor of Prophet Muhammad
(pbuh). When Ex-slaves formed their own villages and towns
and made them prosperous, many of these towns were destroyed
by White devils who felt that this prosperity threatened
White supremacy.
What many people do not understand is that many of these
destructive acts were sanctioned by the U.S. government on
the state and federal levels!
Do not expect any action to be taken by the government
against anyone who defiles Islam. We have to defend
ourselves and each other from these despicable acts.

BOSTON/WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Robert Shillman heads a
publicly traded American technology company called Cognex
Corp with a market value of $4 billion. He also says he is a
big supporter of last Sunday's Prophet Mohammad cartoon
contest in Texas that was attacked by two gunmen who opened
fire before being shot dead by police.
In a telephone interview with Reuters from his home near San
Diego, California, Shillman said America's free speech is
under threat. He added that violent attacks on such events
are making people fearful and prone to self censorship. Many
Muslims regard depictions of the prophet - such as the
caricatures displayed at the event - as offensive and
against the religion's teachings.
"It was a terrorist attack on the American way of life,"
says Shillman, who says he isn't anti-Muslim.
Shillman said he remains a director of the David Horowitz
Freedom Center, whose Jihad Watch website helped organize
the cartoon event in a Dallas suburb with activist Pamela
Geller's American Freedom Defense Initiative.
The Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), which tracks what it
describes as extremist groups, has called the Freedom
Center's founder, the right-wing commentator David Horowitz,
"the godfather of the anti-Muslim Movement." The Freedom
Center says it "combats the efforts of the radical left and
its Islamist allies to destroy American values."
The SPLC also calls Geller's AFDI a hate group because of
the way it talks about and depicts Muslims.
Horowitz, in an email, called Shillman "an American hero"
who is entirely transparent in his agenda. Horowitz also
said the SPLC couldn't produce one statement of his own that
was anti-Muslim.

Sunday's attack had some echoes of the January assault on
the offices of French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo that
left 12 dead in what was said to be revenge for its cartoons
of the prophet.
As founder of Natick, Massachusetts-based Cognex , which
makes machine vision products that help automate
manufacturing, Shillman says he is more outspoken than a
typical U.S. corporate leader. "Most CEOs are hired guns and
their future depends on what their boards think of them. I
don't give a fuck."
The Freedom Center, whose P.O. Box address is in Sherman
Oaks, California, runs several blogs and websites, including
the online FrontPage Magazine and Jihad Watch. Shillman has
funded four fellowships for journalists who have have worked
on the FrontPage, which is the center's online journal for
news and political commentary. He declined to comment when
asked if he helped pay for the cartoon contest. Shillman,
who grew up in Boston, says he is an admirer of Geller for
her defense of free speech and American democracy. "Blaming
Pamela Geller for inciting violence is like blaming a victim
of rape for wearing high heels," he said
Dr. Bob, as he calls himself, has the additional title of
chief culture officer at Cognex, whose stock has produced a
373 percent return over the past five years. Shillman calls
Cognex's 1,300 employees Cognoids and rewards those who
reach certain long-service milestones with trips to any one
of the Wonders of the World. On their birthdays, U.S.
employees get a cake delivered to their homes.
For years, Shillman - who owns about 5 percent of the
company's shares - has foregone millions of dollars in
salary, bonus and stock options. Cognex donates the money to
charity.
Anthony Sun, lead director on the Cognex board, could not be
reached for comment.
FUNDS PRO-ISRAEL GROUPS
Shillman has in the past withdrawn support from
organizations whose behavior he disagrees with. In 2002, he
pulled funding from WBUR, a National Public Radio station in
Boston, for what he perceived as anti-Israel sentiment.
His Shillman Foundation has funded a number of conservative
and pro-Israeli groups, including the Zionist Organization
of America. The ZOA has targeted both academics it perceives
have been teaching anti-Israel doctrine and Palestine
student groups accused of intimidating Jewish students on
U.S. campuses, including a campaign at Shillman's alma
mater, Northeastern University in Boston.
Shillman is an emeritus trustee at the university and has
given it substantial amounts of money, including $3 million
for a classroom building that was then named after him.

How Homosexuality Infiltrated The Black Civil Rights
Movement
by Sis. Aisha [Jamaat al-Muslimeen, New York City.]
New York City - Recently, I watched some YouTube videos by
the Irritated Genie. He is listed on The Southern Poverty
Law Center (SPLC) as a hate-monger because he is critical of
homosexuality and encourages African unity. The SPLC brags
that after outing Ayo Kimathi as the Irritated Genie that he
was either terminated from his Department of Home Land
Security job or he quit. I am not endorsing him. I don't
know much about him, except for his anti-gay YouTube
videos.
The video I saw was called "Homosexual" Agenda in Black
Church: 1950's - Now. The documentary speaks of Bayard
Rustin, who became a confidant to Rev. Dr. Martin Luther
King, Jr. Rustin had recently been arrested for public
lewdness in Pasedena, CA for having been caught in the back
seat of a car with two other men! Somehow, he wound up in
Rev. King's company. As Arsenio Hall would say, "Things that
make you go hmmmm."
According to clips from the movie, "Boycott", it was Bayard
Rustin who pushed for nonviolent responses to savage, racist
violence as a way of life. This was a tactic to emasculate
Black men and make them defenseless. Of course, the White
oppressor could care less about Rev. King but, they would
choose a nonviolent sissy over a gun-toting, by any means
necessary preaching Malcolm X! Rustin was also one of the
founders of the Southern Christian Leadership
Conference.
Another message of the gay male civil rights activist is to
promote the erroneous belief that Black men are the only
target of racism! I do not know why nor understand how so
many Black women, today, still buy into this ridiculous
notion. All one has to do is read the Qur'an's many
references to Musa & Harun (pbut) to understand that Pharaoh
had the male Jews slain because he was up to no good with
the Jewish women (Holy Qur'an 28:4).
Novelist James Baldwin gave a 1965 speech where he spoke of
the dangers of being Black in America and fighting for one's
rights but, he kept ending each statement with, "especially
Black men." Then, there are Black women writers, such as an
Alice Walker, who want us to believe that Black men are an
even bigger threat to Black women than anything else! Men
and women should never be divided, especially when they are
oppressed. Division among the sexes only serves the
oppressor. "Believing men and women are each others
protectors" (Holy Qur'an 9:71).
The religious institution and schools are the foundation of
a community. When the religious institution falters the
community becomes weakened! It is no accident that the Black
church has been reduced to nothing more than a foot-stomping
minstrel show with gay choir directors entertaining
Europeans who come in for the performance. These Europeans
are not there to hear the Word or be baptized!
The masjid is in danger of being rendered useless unless we
check our "imams!" Martin Luther used to leave notes of
criticism on the Catholic church doors in protest to some of
their practices. He would later found Protestantism.
However, the Holy Qur'an and the Authentic Hadith are
perfect guides against corruption in the masjid, if only we
use them!
Now, you have shows like the hit Empire and this past week's
episode of Black-ish, with gay actress Raven Symone,
promoting homosexuality as benign. Each show portrays Black
people as being neanderthals while everyone who embraces
homosexuality is modernized. Empire is directed by Lee
Daniels, a gay Black man.
The most disturbing clip from an Irritated Genie video,
Black "Leaders" & the Homosexual Agenda : Yesterday & Today
, was one where Minister Farrakhan was seen speaking to a
group of people at a Black church and he insinuated that Dr.
Khalid Muhammad, who stayed in foster homes as a child, and
Malcolm X, who had a difficult relationship with his mother,
were gay. It was such an assault on their memory! He even
suggested that tool Manning Marable's book, Malcolm X: A
Life of Reinvention, which accused Malcolm X of being a
homosexual, as a credible source! I was very disappointed to
hear this message.
But, I remember Dr. Khalid Muhammad stating during a speech
how threatened Min. Farrakhan felt about his leadership and
how Farrakhan did not even visit him when he was shot during
an assassination attempt by one of Imam Warith Deen
Muhammad's supporters. Ego has been the downfall of many
great men!
NYPD Officer's Memory Praised Ad Nauseum
A week after Baltimore police murder victim, Freddy Gray, is
buried a young NYPD officer is shot and killed. Police
deaths in the line of duty is rare compared to the amount of
people they shoot and kill. May be this was the real reason
for memorializing Officer Brian Moore and paying a week long
tribute to him during newscasts. His funeral was broadcast
live! My sister, who lives in Maryland, told me about these
events. I think that amount of exposure was overkill and a
way for the media to thumb its nose at the Black
community.
There were protests here in New York City, after Freddy
Grays' murder. It is no coincidence that this officer's
murder has garnered so much attention by the press. This was
done to lead all of us to believe that an officer's life is
more valuable than the citizens they shoot and kill.
Officers Brian Moore and Erik Jansen were in plain clothes
when they saw Demetrius Blackwell, the murder suspect,
adjusting something in his waistband. They pulled up beside
him when Blackwell allegedly pulled the stolen gun from his
waist band and started shooting. (Source: CNN.com)
