Our America: Chicago
September 28: For the third weekend in a row, gun fights in
Chicago have hit many young people. This time 10 youths were
shot but survived. Gang warfare has ruined large areas of
the city.
Obama's close associate Rahm Emmanuel, a hard core Zionist
Jew, elected somehow as mayor of Chicago, has proven to be a
total failure. Any decent person would resign but he
continues to talk big.
Our America: Charlotte, Noryh Carolina
An African American man was shot ten times by a police
officer and died of his wounds. His car had broken down. He
knocked on a door asking for help. The woman inside called
911. The police arrived and as the man turned around and
walked towards the police, he met a hail of bullets.
[Police shootings are common in American cities. Looks like
open season on the Black population.]
[See face book for shootings in Baltimore.]
Breaking News: Fighting erupted in Kashmir.
On September 26, a small Islamic group attacked Indian
troops in the Kathua district near the line of control. And
then carried out a second attack in Mesar [Samba district],
20 km south east of Jammu.
India has admitted that 9 of its troops were killed and
others wounded. Apparently the fighters escaped. [Source
AFP].
A very large Indian army continues to occupy the Muslim land
known as Kashmir.
Breaking News: SUDAN
For three days, September 27, 28, 29, people have been
demonstrating in Khartoum and other cities against rising
fuel prices. The government has tried to crush them.
Sudanese troops shot scores of demonstrators. At least 30
are reported killed.
Breaking News: Tunisia:
Several thousand Tunisians, including several hundred hijabi
women, have gone to Syria to help homeless people bombed out
by Assad's military. Some of them have joined the fighting
formations of Islamics fighting Assad.
The Tunisian media and some officials, highly secularized,
started dirty propaganda against the Islamics by claiming
that the hijabi women have gone to give sex to the
mujahideen! [ Reports now indicate that this smear campaign
was completely baseless.]
About one fourth of Tunisia's population is hard core
secularist and is used to making ugly comments against
Islam.
September 29: The weak En-Nahda government, Muslim
Brotherhood movement, has decided to hold talks with the
secularists for three weeks and then resign in exchange for
new elections. Growth of Salafist Islamics has led to
demonstrations by the secularists backed by France.
Breaking News:
Syria: Serious Setback for the US & Iran. Assad's End is
Coming.
September 25: Quite a shock for the US and Iran: The
fighting groups in Syria, ALL 13 of them, have kicked out
the National Coalition and formed an ARMED Coalition which
supports SHARIA, 100%. The National Coalition had been
recognized as representative of the Syrian opposition by the
US and Europe. After the chemical attack by Assad on August
21, the NC was trumpeting air strikes by the US but USA
betrayed its best friends. Even Al-Tawhid, which is the
armed wing of NC, has also endorsed Sharia and joined the
Jihad groups. Al-Nusra has a key position among the jihad
groups.
The problem for the Islamics now is that the Islamic State
in Iraq & the Levant [ISIL} has not joined the jihad
coalition. ISIL is creating the impression that it is more
radical than the other Islamics. It has taken over several
areas in Syria near the Iraq border.
September 27: Assad's air force is ferociously attacking the
suburbs of Damascus to drive out the Islamic fighters but
till now now no success. Assad's forces have advanced in one
area of Aleppo but are again halted. Assad's tank columns
attacked Islamic positions in Hama and Homs causing serious
civilian casualties but were repulsed.
IRAN is rushing to make friends with USA seeing America as
the only force which could save Assad. America is
interested in getting control of Assad's chemical and WMD
stockpiles to stop them falling into Islamic hands as Assad
gets squeezed. Iran is concerned that any US action against
Assad's air force could tip the balance in favor of the
mujahideen. Russia is engaging the US to ensure that the US
does not attack Assad's air force.
UN sources indicate that there have been SEVEN more smaller
chemical attacks by Assad during September. [The Zionist
media have ignored the new attacks.]
Iran's new president is trying to please the Jews by
endorsing the holocaust story [somewhat slyly] without
noting the burning of German cities by the supporters of
Israel. Rouhani has little or no research on the holocaust
claims of the Jews. Why is he making these statements if not
to please Jewish groups?
Hizbullah hit: Supporters of al-Nusra Syrian mujahideen hit
the stronghold of Hizbullah in Balbeck [Lebanon] and killed
7 Hizbullah. Several thousand Hizbullah fighters are in
Syria trying to save Assad from collapse.

Peaceful Islamic Movement in USA Calls for Boycott of
Businesses Supporting Israel
Jamaat al-Muslimeen urges America's 9 million Muslims to
boycott businesses which support Israel [occupied
Palestine]. Among these are:
-
Coca Cola
-
Nestle.
-
Starbucks.
On September 26, CNN, the most powerful Zionist media
outlet, brought the Director of Coca Cola to the Piers
Morgan show in support of US military veterans. Coca Cola is
not only a staunch supporter of Israel, it is also one of
the most destructive drinks for health and human life.
Coca Cola supports Charley Rose on CBS. He interviewed
Syrian tyrant Assad and is a close friend of Rushdie.
Recently, corporate Zionist media like CNN and MSNBC noted
with satisfaction that Starbucks coffee has come out in
support of homsexual "same sex" marriage. Starbucks has an
outlet at Gtmo and also with NATO occupation forces in
Afghanistan.
Nestle [which also owns Dajani] has 50% investment in Israel
[occupied Palestine]. Nestle water is sold in Muslim
countries, including Pakistan, because Muslims don't know
Nestle's links to Israel.

points of the khutba for countrywide distribution. [For

Text #1
"Do not marry women who associate others with Allah
[mushrikat] until they believe. A slave woman who believes
is better than one who associates others with Allah
[mushrika] even though she allures you. Nor marry men who
associate others with Allah [mushrikeen] until they believe:
A male slave who believes is better than one who associates
others with Allah [mushrik] even though he allures you. They
[associaters] beckon you to the Fire but Allah beckons by
His Grace to the Garden [of Bliss] and forgiveness, and
makes His Signs clear to mankind that they may receive
admonition." [2:221]
Notice the Arabic word in brackets. It is often incorrectly
translated as "disbelievers" and "idolaters" although
mushrik is one who associates others with Allah.
All interpretations must end when there is a clear Hadith of
the Prophet, pbuh, on the issue. He never recommended
marriage with non-Muslim women. Addressing men, he makes it
quite clear that Islamic integrity and faith is the
requirement for marriage:
"The messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be on
him, said: Women are married for 4 reasons: for wealth, for
family nobility, for beauty and for Deen: You should marry
for Deen, otherwise may your hands be rubbed in the dirt."
[Narrated by Abu Huraira, r.a., in the Sahih of Bukhari and
the Sahih of Muslim.]
Deen is a comprehensive term for piety, knowledge and
practice of Islam, and Fear of Allah.
-
Marriage is a central requirement in Islam. Early
marriage strongly recommended.
-
Random sex and lack of self-respect by women can by
avoided by very early marriage.
-
Immigrant Muslim men are marrying non-Muslim women.
-
Thus we have unstable families where the religious future
of the children is uncertain.
-
The immigrant Muslims use a verse in sura al-Maidah to
justify marriage with non-Muslim women.
-
They don't study hadith, so they don't know that the
al-Maidah verse was revealed at the end of the Prophet's,
pbuh, life. At that time, the non-Muslim woman would come
into an Islamic ethos backed by the entire society.
-
In a a society where Islam is not dominant, 2:221
applies. A non-Muslim woman would have the full support of a
secular, corrupt society, the children would think adultery
and homosexuality are not mortal sins. Even America's
presidents support these abominations.
-
Thousands of women have embraced Islam in America. Where
should they go if Muslim men don't marry them. They know
they can't marry non-Muslim men.
-
CONCLUSION: Marriage with non-Muslim women is STRICTLY
FORBIDDEN. Marry the Muslim women. It is an outrage and a
shame that they are being ignored.
Khutba: Part 2:
"O you who believe! If a wrong doer [fasiq] comes to you
with any news, verify it, lest you harm people in ignorance
and afterwards become regretful for what you have done."

FEEDING THE NEEDY IN ETHIOPIA (3rd Annual Feeding Program in
Addis Ababa and Dessie)
Sponsored by Jamaat al Muslimeen with contributions from the
broader USA community
Let us go again on a "wing and a prayer" that our
contributions to answer the command of Allah to feed the
hungry will be accepted and blessed by Allah. We have read
this sura before, but let us read it again and read the
footnotes to better understand that this call is for all of
us, each and every one of us who has the privilege of
residing on planet earth!
"Nay I call to witness this land--this land in which thou
art free to dwell. And I call to witness parent and
offspring: Verily, We have created man into (a life of)
pain, toil and trial. Does he, then, think that no one has
power over him? He boasts, 'I have spent wealth abundant!'
Does he, then, think that no one sees him?' Have We not
given him two eyes, and a tongue, and a pair of lips, and
shown him the two highways (of good and evil)? But he would
not try to ascend the steep uphill road....And what could
make thee conceive what it is, that steep uphill road? (It
is) the freeing of one's neck (from the burden of sin), or
the feeding, upon a day of (one's own) hunger, of an orphan
near of kin, or of a needy (stranger) lying in the dust--and
being, withal, of those who have attained to faith, and who
enjoin upon one another patience in adversity, and enjoin
upon one another compassion. Such are they who have attained
to righteousness; whereas those who are bent on denying the
truth of Our messages---they are such as have lost
themselves in evil (with) fire closing in upon them." (Holy
Quran, Sura 90: Al-Balad -The Land), translation by Muhammad
Asad.]
Yes, we may say, "I am hungry myself." However, we are
cautioned by Allah that even though times may be getting
harder for us, we still must help that "man in the dust"
that one who is less fortunate and more hungry than we are.
Let us be grateful to be of those described as "those who
have attained to righteousness."

Peaceful Islamic Movements Coordinate to Oppose Tyranny and
Oppression.
by Anwar Niazi
LAHORE, Sep. 26: The international Islamic movement leaders
conference here reaffirmed their resolve to continue their
struggle peacefully despite all forms of oppression and
conspiracies of the enemies of Islam and the Ummah.
A nine- point agenda issued as part of the joint
declaration, finalized at the moot attended by forty
representatives from twenty countries, pledged political,
diplomatic, moral and legal support to the oppressed human
beings in Egypt, Syria, Kashmir, Palestine, Iraq,
Afghanistan and Arakan (Burma).
The moot had been convened by the Ameer, Jamaat e Islami,
Pakistan, Syed Munawar Hasan to assess the challenges being
faced by humanity at large and the Muslim Ummah in
particular, especially owing to the ouster of the elected
government of Dr Muhammad Mursi in Egypt and the bloodshed
in Syria, and also to decide a line of action for steering
mankind and the Muslim Ummah from the quagmire.
Representatives of Islamic movements from Jordan, Malaysia,
Sudan, Morocco, Tajikistan, Turkey, Somalia, Palestine,
Tunisia, Algeria, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Yemen, and occupied
Kashmir, attended the moot.
In its joint declaration, the conference condemned the
attacks on places of worship the and the killings of
innocent people, and said that a true Muslim could neither
tolerate oppression nor do any wrong to any one. It said
that the anti Islam forces were behind such incidents. It
stressed upon the Muslim youth to refrain from violence and
vendetta and continue their struggle with reason and
prudence.
The joint declaration also emphasised that Islam is the
religion of peace and the Muslim Ummah was the messenger of
goodwill and wellbeing for humanity.
Syed Munawar Hasan, in his concluding address, said stressed
upon the Pakistan government to raise its voice against the
oppression of the Egyptian military ruler, including the ban
on the Ikhwanul Muslimoon. He said it was also the moral and
religious duty of the Muslims to register their protest
against the tyranny being perpetrated on the Egyptian masses
demanding their basic rights.
In its 9 point programme, the conference decided to set up a
joint jurists platform to help the oppressed human beings
all over the world and also pledged diplomatic efforts to
highlight the injustices and oppression going on in the
Muslim states.
It also decided to set up an international Secretariat to
coordinate the working of the Islamic movements and to
invite more movements and personalities to its fold.
While underscoring the importance of education for the
Muslim women, the conference pointed out that emphasis on
modesty, Hijab and Islamic education for the women folk were
the actual need of the hour. It resolved to fight against
discrimination and biases against the Muslim family system
and the Muslim women,
The conference also resolved to make joint struggle for
saving the Muslim youth from the alien cultural attack and
the deadly effects of the secular education system.
The Islamic movements' leaders also pledged to make every
possible effort to minimize the internal differences of the
Ummah and to forge Muslim unity on he basis of common
objectives.
The conference condemned the military coup in Egypt which
has the blessings of the US and the Zionists, and the
genocide of the Egyptian men, women and children protesting
against military rule, It saluted the Egyptian people for
refusing to bow before oppression and for their sustained,
peaceful struggle for their democratic rights which had
given a new hope to the Ummah.
The conference expressed deep grief over the bloodletting
carried out by dictators in Syria for decades who had
butchered their whole nation only to remain in power while
millions had fled from the country to save their lives. It
deplored the silence and the indifference of the NGOs and
Human Rights champions clamoring for civil/ human rights,
equality, and women rights, while the Syrian dictator was
practically fulfilling his one point agenda of continuing
bloodshed and to protect the Zionist state of Israel.,
The moot also condemned the oppression going on in
Bangladesh in the form of pronouncements of death sentence
and life term for JI leaderships for so called war
crimes.
It also condemned Indian forces' oppression in Occupied
Kashmir against the Muslims struggling for their right to
self determination. It also slated the continuing siege of
Gaza ( Palestine) for the last several years besides the
Zionist designs to pull down the Masjid Al Aqsa, for
building Solomon temple at the site. It stressed upon the
freedom and justice loving humanity to support the
Palestinians' just struggle for a free Homeland.
Syed Munawar Hasan clarified that the international
Secretariat of the Islamic movements would not be a
substitute for the OIC. He said that the OIC had not been
able to deliver and had virtually become a pocket union of
the US .
The conference offered Fateha for the people martyred in
Egypt, Syria and also those killed in drone attacks and the
quake in Balochistan

Shia Professor tries to Validate Mutah [Temporary Marriage],
attacks Imam Bukhari.
[
bukhari.htm
]
Rebuttal by Dr. Kaukab Siddique
asalamu alaikum
I wanted to help the Shia community by pointing out that
Khui Foundation and Syed Mohsin Naquvi are doing serious
damage to Muslim unity by trying to validate Mut'ah
[temporary marriage]. Mut'ah is a form of prostitution which
demeans women. It is not essential to Shi'a doctrine and is
mistakenly defended by Shia scholars who think mut'ah was
forbidden by 'Umar, r.a., [whom they hate] and not by the
Prophet, pbuh.
I made two points: First: there is no verse in the Qur'an
which permits mut'ah. And Mut'ah was finally and forever
forbidden by Prophet Muhammad, pbuh, and this prohibition is
clearly stated in the most authentic book of Hadith, the
Sahih of Bukhari.
One verse in the Qur'an is interpreted, by Shias, with great
difficulty, to indicate that Mut'ah is Halal! Let me repeat
that Halal and Haram in Islam is not based on interpretation
but on clear verses and unambiguous Hadith.
I also pointed out that Al-Khui Foundation is supporting the
occupation of Iraq by the U.S. and this sudden adventure in
America to validate Mut'ah may give the impression of a
sinister move. [I meant that the U.S. government might be
using Al-Khui Foundation to create a sectarian issue and to
give Islam a bad name to turn women away from Islam.]
Instead of taking this good advice, the Shia group [which I
am sure does not represent all Shias] tried to ridicule me
and insisted on the validity of Mut'ah. [See below abusive
letter from Dr. Masood Zaidi published by Ali Hasan in
support of Mohsin Naquvi and Al-Khui Foundation.]
To top it all, Masood Zaidi published material from the
Pervezi sect which quotes Hadith to indicate that Mut'ah was
permitted by the Prophet, pbuh, himself. The Shias were
fooled by the Pervezis, each working for its sectarian
interests.
Introduction to the Issue:
CONTEXT: The Qur'an was revealed in STAGES.
"Those who reject faith say: 'Why is not the Qur'an revealed
to him all at once?' Thus [is it revealed], that We may
strengthen thy heart thereby, and we have rehearsed it to
thee in slow, well-arranged stages, gradually." [The Quran
25:32]
Because Hadith is commentary in the Qur'an, it too refers to
various STAGES of the mission of Muhammad, pbuh. The evils
of society were gradually removed as the Islamic community
developed. Even major commandments like the prohibition of
liquor, the end of Riba [interest], the removal of slavery,
the change in the conditions of prisoners of war, all went
through STAGES of development.
This gradual process is even more applicable to the
transformation of women from slaves and things and mere
vessels of pleasure [under the pagan-Christian-Jewish
system], to equals and the AWLIYYA of men, a mutual
relationship without any concept of female inferiority.
Let us look at the verse of the Qur'an which Shi'a scholars
try to interpret to validate Mut'ah. It is verse 24 of Sura
Nisa [chapter 4]. This Surah was revealed early in the era
of Islam in Madinah [as we learn from Hadith]. The verses
preceding 4:24 put a stop to the sexual anarchy which was
rampant in pagan-Jewish society. For instance, 4:22 puts an
end to the male inheriting his father's wife. The next verse
4:23 categorically prohibits incest. [Its categories are
completed by Hadith.]
Then in 4:24 it prohibits adultery and then insists on
proper marriage, be it with those who are captives or women
from mainstream society. The next verse 4:25 is a radical
verse because it sanctifies MARRIAGE with prisoners of war
and slaves [and/or former slaves], which had never happened
before in human history. Thus the MOST OPPRESSED sections of
society were brought into the mainstream.
Let us look at 4:24 because it is the only verse which the
Shias can use. It says:
"Also [prohibited in marriage are] women already married,
except those whom your right hands possess. Thus has Allah
ordained [prohibitions] against you: Except for these, all
others are lawful, provided you seek (them in marriage) with
gifts from your property,- desiring chastity, not
fornication. Give them their dowery as a duty for the
benefit/enjoyment you have of them. But if after a dower is
prescribed, ye agree mutually (to vary it), there is no
blame on you, and Allah is All-Knowing All-Wise."
Notice that temporary marriage would be totally
contradictory to the entire message being given here which
emphasizes chastity, not fornication. Also notice the
equality of the spouses; they can agree MUTUALLY to alter
the dower or economic base of the marriage. There is
absolutely no permission here for Mut'ah.
{Masood Zaidi can also look up the translation of the Qur'an
by Shakir being distributed by a Shia organization, Tahrike
Tasrsil-e-Qur'an. There is no difference in the translation
except that the word "benefit" or "enjoyment" is replaced by
"profit.}
The words for "benefit" or "enjoyment" or "profit" ["because
you derive benefit/enjoyment/profit from them"] in the
Arabic original are: "famastamta'tum bihi" have the root
"mut'ah" in them. This gave the Shias an opening.
There are Hadith which indicate that men, especially in war
time, "enjoyed" women [did mut'ah] with them for limited
periods of time. The Prophet, pbuh, did not stop them right
away, and even permitted them to do so, as part of his
policy of gradual reform. It was the norm in warfare.
Thus the Sh'ias took the root for "enjoyment" mentioned in
4:24 and tried to claim that Mut'ah was permitted by the
Qur'an and its details can be seen in the Hadith!
FINAL PROHIBITION
The weakness of the Shia argument is that though there are
Hadith showing permission of mut'ah during war time, the
Hadith also provides the FINAL PROHIBITION of Mut'ah at the
battle of Khaybar. The dishonesty of the Shias lies in the
fact that they mention the Hadith showing permission but
hide the Hadith showing final and absolute prohibition.
Faced with the Hadith in Bukhari prohibiting Mut'ah, Dr.
Masood Zaidi came up with these extremely weak arguments.
"Bukhari seldom used Hadhrat Ali as a source for hadith,
even though he was the most authentic source. Yet on this
subject Bukhari only quotes Hadhrat Ali."
My Comment:Dr. Masood Zaidi does not seem to know that Imam
Bukhari was NOT a narrator of Hadith. He simply collected
Hadith which had the best chains of narration and the
narrators with the best memory and character. We should be
proud that Ali, r.a., narrated a Hadith from the Prophet,
pbuh, which prohibited Mut'ah.
Dr. Masood wrote: "There were many people in the battle of
Khyber. Yet no one else heard about this hadith on such an
important subject. Either the prophet whispered in Hadhrat
Ali's ears so that no on else heard about it or every one
else was still moping about not getting the Banner of
Islam."
My Comment: The same Hadith does not have to be narrated by
every Sahabi to be normative. No one has found any weakness
in the quality of this Hadith. Isn't Ali, r.a., an important
enough person to be narrating a Hadith? Masood Zaidi tries
to come up with conspiracy theories and indirect insults
against the Sahaba. Perhaps he does not know that Imam
Bukhari did NOT live in the Ummayad era. He did not have
anything to gain by not accepting Hadith from Ali, r.a. In
fact there are Hadith in Bukhari's Sahih which extol the
Ahlul Bayt.
Masood Zaidi then writes: "I also gave reference from other
Sunni sources that showed that it was number two who banned
the practice of Mut'a which Hadhrat Ali later reinstated."
My comment: It's a mistake to think that 'Umar, r.a., on his
own initiative banned the practice of Mut'ah. There were
people like Ibn Abbas, r.a., who in some narrations, which
are quite weak, claimed that Mut'ah had not been prohibited.
'Umar, r.a., as the Caliph, declared that the Prophet, pbuh,
had banned Mut'ah and that anyone practicing it would be
punished.
We should be proud of 'Umar, r.a., that he safeguarded the
rights of women and made sure that the Prophet's, pbuh,
command was implemented. Remember, Dr. Zaidi sahib, that
Ali, r.a., was part of 'Umar's [r.a.] SHOORA and NEVER
claimed that 'Umar, r.a., was wrong about Mut'ah.
Thus Dr. Zaidi, you have shot yourself in the foot by
bringing up 'Umar, r.a. [whom you insultingly call number
2.] Go read Islamic history so you can find how great 'Umar,
r.a., was.
As for the number of Hadith narrated by Ali, r.a., they were
few for the simple reason that during his Caliphate, which
was short, there was constant fratricidal warfare. He did
not have time to teach many Hadith.
If you are claiming that Ali, r.a., validated Mut'ah, let me
have your text and your source so that I can discuss it.
Now a few words to Ali Hasan [The one who posted the
sectarian propaganda in favor of Mut'ah]: Dear brother, you
were shameless or ignorant enough to post a lengthy and
abusive passage from Ghulam Ahmed Pervez's attack on Hadith
called Maqame Hadith. Don't you know that the Pervezis are
the enemies of Ahlul Bait? Do you know that one of them
named Dr. Shabbir claims that Kerbala never happened?
Hasan sahib, just to win an argument in support of Mut'ah
you posted Pervez's garbage. You should do tawbah and
refrain from such dishonesty.
Now look at the posting from Pervez: He mentions all those
Hadith which indicate that Mut'ah was practiced during the
time of the Prophet, pbuh. Pervez's purpose was to claim
that the Hadith SUPPORTS Mut'ah and hence should be
condemned! What did Pervez do to win his argument? He simply
LEFT OUT the Hadith which prohibits Mut'ah FOREVER.
Now for a clincher, a final word to Dr. Masood Zaidi: if you
don't like the narration from Ali, r.a., in Bukhari's Sahih
which makes Mut'ah HARAM, let me give you a Hadith from
Sahih Muslim:
"From ar-Rabi'i, from ibn Sabra al-Juhni, r.a., who narrates
from his father who said that he was with the messenger of
Allah, pbuh, when he [the messenger] said: O people. I had
let you have mut'ah with women but surely Allah has now made
it HARAM till the Day of Judgement. So if you have a woman
with you like that, let her go and whatever you have given
her, do not take it back." [Sahih Muslim, kitab-in-nikah,
section on Mut'ah.]
[Again, notice what a fraud G.A. Pervez was? He quoted a
Hadith from Sabra al-Juhni showing permission for Mut'ah but
left out this final Hadith on the matter.]
[Also Pervez provided a fabricated narration, without any
basis at all, which implies that, perhaps, Asma, r.a., did
mut'ah with Zubair, r.a., and produced Abdullah ibn Zubair,
r.a. May Allah forgive me for referring to this
shamelessness. In one shot the Shias wanted to attack three
great personalities who did not accept Ali's, r.a.,
Caliphate, so they posted the Pervezi material. However, if
you look at authentic Hadith, such as the biographies given
in Ibn Sa'ad's Tabaqat al-Kubra, the entire lineage of the
three is given. There is absolutely no question of Mut'a
here. Shias hurt a lot of Muslims by distributing such
nonsense.]
And Masood Zaidi sahib, do not be in a hurry to find fault
with Sahih Muslim! It contains the Hadith narrated by Zayd
ibn Arqam, r.a., called Hadith al-Thaqalayn which Shia
scholars love to quote.
Sincerely Kaukab Siddique, Ph.D
[Here we give the complete text of Dr. Masood Zaidi's letter
to Ali Hasan ridiculing Dr. Kaukab Siddique and defending
Mut'ah. Zaidi gave the wrong chapter number of the Qur'anic
verse under discussion. We waited three weeks for him to
correct himself. He didn't. Such is the level of scholarship
used by the sectarians.]
Here is what the Shi'a professor wrote attacking Dr.
Siddique, endorsing a flagrant hater of Hadith.
[Quoted uncut.]
smazaidi To: Alihasan Sent from the Internet
Dear Br. Ali Hasan:
Salaam Alaikum: Looks like Kaukab Siddique is resurfacing
from a long hibernation period. However, nothing has
changed. He still can't get his facts straight. I don't know
who he wants to impress with his Ph.D. and Associate
Professorship of English. I, certainly, am not impressed.
Not only by his qualifications but by his arguments as well.
He has been following his misguided ancestors.
Number one quoted Hadith to support his argument against the
citations from Qur'an. Kaukab Siddique is doing the same
thing. Qur'an says Mut'a is legal but he brings in a weak
hadith to say it was prohibited. This topic has been
discussed in this forum several times including with Kaukab
Siddique. It was most recently discussed during the past ten
or fifteen days.
He says, Mut'ah was clearly and unambiguously forbidden by
the Prophet Muhammad, pbuh. It is HARAM. This prohibition is
stated in authentic Hadith collected by the most erudite
scholar of Hadith, Imam Bukhari." His comments are so
childish and amusing that it makes me laugh. Even a prophet
cannot change an order from Allah. The verse 3:24 has never
been abrogated anywhere in Qur'an. The "erudite scholar"
would have us believe that the Prophet (PBUH&HF) prohibited
what Allah had allowed. And he calls himself a Muslim! Oh
no, wait a minute. The "erudite scholar" is some one named
Bukhari. Last time Kaukab Siddique was active in this forum,
I wrote a long essay on Mr. Bukhari and his collection of
hadith. The so-called "Sahih" has so many false hadith that
it can never be called a "sahih."
Even granting the fact that the Prophet wanted to prohibit
the practice of Mut'a, he did so during the battle of
Khyber. There are two problems with this hadith besides being
totally wrong. Bukhari seldom used Hadhrat Ali as a source
for hadith, even though he was the most authentic source.
Yet on this subject Bukhari only quotes Hadhrat Ali.There
were many people in the battle of Khyber. Yet no one else
heard about this hadith on such an important subject. Either
the prophet whispered in Hadhrat Ali's ears so that no on
else heard about it or every one else was still moping about
not getting the Banner of Islam.
I also gave reference from other Sunni sources that showed
that it was number two who banned the practice of Mut'a
which Hadhrat Ali later reinstated.
I can again send those references to the "erudite scholar"
of today if he so wishes. As for as Syed Mohsin Naquvi is
concerned Kaukab Siddique does not even have 10% of the
knowledge about Islam as Mr. Naquvi does. Kaukab Siddique
likes to indulge in self praise, such as "taking to task or
rebutting." His "taking to task" is neither factual nor
academic. He should stick to his Associate Professorship and
leave the Islamic discussion to true scholars.
Sincerely,
Masood Zaidi, Ph.D. Professor and Department Chairman (Ret)

Study of the Al-Shabab Attack on the Westgate Mall in
Nairobi, Kenya
Facts:
-
Kenyan military forces have occupied large areas of
Somalia. More than 500 Somali civilians have been killed
over a year by the Kenyan military. Some mosques and many
homes were destroyed by armored columns of the Kenyan
military.
-
Was the destruction in Somalia shown on US TV? Of course
not.
-
Does a country which has been occupied have the right to
strike back inside the occupier counyty?
-
The US media have admitted that the Westgate Mall is
Israeli owned. [New Trend said it first.]. The Mall is the
most expensive and exclusive in all of Africa.
-
As the al-Shabab mujahideen entered the Mall, Israeli
Special Forces entered Nairobi to help the Kenyan military.
-
Thus Kenya and Israel have a military unity which is so
close that Israeli storm troopers came in within hours of
the attack.
-
Israel has occupied a Muslim country, PALESTINE, and
expelled about 5 million Palestnians from their homes. Now
the Israelis are involved in helping Kenya occupy another
Muslim country, Somalia.
-
The mujahideen killed 67 people in the Mall. Kenya has
killed 500 Muslims in Somalia. All violence is bad but which
is the bigger evil here?
-
The biggest group of shoppers in the Mall were rich
Hindus from India. What is India doing in Kenya? India,
through Israel, is doing big business in Kenya. India is
also in occupation of a Muslim country, Kashmir, where it
has committed atrocities, torture, rape and murder, which
would make Kenyan troops look like choir boys.
-
In its occupation of parts of Somalia, the Kenyan
military, non-Muslims, kuffar, attacked points of trade like
Kismayo and destroyed Muslim business and trade, thus
starving the Somalian people.
-
Countering the Kenyans, al-Shabab destroyed a key
economic power point of Kenya, thus depriiving the occupiers
of economic resources. One is bad and the other is not? Or
is it that modern warfare involves the destruction of the
opponent's economy? Look at the bombing of economic targets
in Iraq and Afghanistan by the US and NATO. Remember the
death of 1,000,000 Iraqis through economic sanctions? Israel
has destroyed Palestine's economy. The entire population of
Gaza is living in an Israeli concentration camp, a later day
"warsaw ghetto,"
Will the American people ever know WHY the Westgate Mall was
attacked? Very doubtful, after 4 days of back to back
pro-Kenya propaganda by the Zionist controlled corporate
media. But here is at least one link from al-Shabab.

A British woman who embraced Islam, Sis. Samantha
Lewithwaite, was reported to have been among the al-Shabab
who attacked the Kenyan mall. A global alert has been sent
out by Interpol for her arrest. [Source: All three cable TV

Write to the Iranian authorities demanding a halt to the
execution of 28 Sunni prisoners in Iran
09/25/2013
Urgent action is required to save the lives of our brothers
in Iran. Please write letters and emails immediately to
express your disapproval and to urgently demand a halt to
the death penalty against our brothers. Please send copies
to any Iranian diplomatic representatives accredited to your
country. In addition we request that you send copies to any
media organisations to help raise awareness.
You may use the following template letter:
We are writing to demand an immediate halt to the planned
execution of 28 Sunni men on death-row in Iran. Of
particular urgency is the case of four prisoners, who
Amnesty International said could be executed 'within days'.
It is believed that the men were tortured and forced to make
false confessions.
At a time when leaders from across the globe gather in New
York for the General Assembly of the United Nations, the
world media is attentively watching the actions of the newly
elected Iranian President, Hassan Rouhani. We urge that the
oppressed prisoners in Iran are not forgotten, and we
request that this opportunity is used to highlight the
injustice these men are facing.
The four prisoners who are facing imminent execution are
being held in Ghezal Hesar prison near Tehran, Iran. Jamshed
Dehghani, Jahangir Dehghani, Kamal Molayee and Hamed Ahmadi
were arrested in June and July 2009. They, along with six
other men, were sentenced to death in 2011. Their court
appearance was said to have lasted just ten minutes, and the
men said they were handcuffed and blindfolded throughout.
They were convicted of vaguely worded offences such as
'enmity against God' and 'causing corruption on the Earth'.
Six of the men were executed in December 2012.
Allegations of torture raise serious concerns about the
reliability of the evidence presented against these men. It
is reported that the men were severely tortured and their
families were threatened, until they confessed. In addition,
the men said they were forced to sign papers without being
allowed to read them. We request an urgent investigation by
the Iranian authorities into these allegations, and we
demand that all evidences obtained through torture are
disregarded.
Similar concerns are raised about the cases of the 24 other
Sunni prisoners on death row, who are held in Rajaee Shahr
prison in Karaj, Iran. The men are all believed to have been
tortured and mistreated in pre-trial detention. We were
informed that many were kept in solitary confinement and
were denied contact with their families or access to their
lawyers. It is reported that the men were not involved in
any violent or armed activities, and it is alleged that the
men were instead targeted because they were active in
peacefully propagating Sunni Islam within their community.
The four prisoners facing imminent execution were accused of
involvement in the assassination of a senior Sunni cleric
who had close ties with the Iranian government. The men
maintain that it was impossible for them to have been
involved because they were detained in June and July 2009,
months before the assassination took place in September
2009.
All 28 men were reportedly sentenced by Judge Mohammad
Moghisseh, Head of branch 28 of the Tehran Revolutionary
Court. In April 2011, the European Union named Moghisseh as
an individual subject to sanctions for human rights
violations. According to the Official Journal of the
European Union, Moghisseh "issued long prison sentences
during unfair trials for social, political activists and
journalists and several death sentences for protesters and
social and political activists." It is extremely worrying
that a judge facing such accusations is given the authority
to impose the death penalty.
In light of the above we strongly express our concern at the
injustice being committed in Iran against these 28 men. We
demand an urgent halt to the death penalty against them. We
urge that all evidences obtained through torture are
disregarded. We call on the Iranian authorities to ensure
the men are protected from torture and ill treatment. We
request that they are granted all necessary medical
treatment. We insist that they are allowed immediate and
regular contact with their lawyers and family.

Egypt Joins Israel as Gaza's Jailer
September 18, 2013
-by Medea Benjamin and Pam Bailey
There was a time when activist groups that focused on
helping the Palestinians in Gaza reserved their harshest
language and protests for Israel, which long has prohibited
both air and sea traffic in and out of Gaza; tightly limited
exchanges through its Erez terminal; and banned exports
altogether.
While movement in and out of Gaza via the Egyptian terminal
at Rafah was restricted as well, it nonetheless was a
critical lifeline for Palestinians needing to travel, and
for humanitarian aid. Likewise, members of the Egyptian
government often played a constructive role in facilitating
negotiations between the various Palestinian factions, as
well as with international parties.
However, in the two months since the Egyptian military took
control, it has made clear it will no longer serve as that
"bridge". In fact, as the military and other opponents of
ousted President Mohamed Morsi increasingly blame
Palestinian "elements" for growing unrest and violence,
particularly in the Sinai Peninsula, the interim government
of Egypt has increasingly allied itself with Israel in
strategy and actions - becoming just as much Gazans' jailer
as its neighbor to the east. As the Washington Post
reported, "with Egypt's military-backed interim government
shutting down the tunnels and largely closing its own
pedestrian crossing at Rafah, Gaza is increasingly shut off
from the world".
In response, organizations ranging from the European
Campaign to End the Siege of Gaza to Gaza's Ark (an
international coalition focused on ending the Israeli ban on
exports) are directly including Egypt in their messaging.
And a petition launched by a grassroots coalition calling
itself the International Campaign to #OpenRafahBorder
attracted more than 1,000 signatures from around the world
in just the first 24 hours. The coalition's goal is to
collect 25,000 signatures and deliver them to Egyptian
ambassadors, the United Nations and human rights
organizations.
Stranded students and patients
Before Egypt's military ousted Morsi on July 3, an estimated
1,200 people-a-day used to cross through Rafah, which was
Gaza's main window to the world. Since then, the average
number of permitted travelers has only been 250 each day, if
Rafah is open at all. At this article's writing, Rafah had
been closed for six consecutive days. The EuroMid Observer
for Human Rights estimates that at least 10,000 Palestinians
are currently on the waiting list to cross on the Gaza side
alone.
Many of the individuals left stranded are students trying to
get to universities after months of effort to apply for
scarce scholarships. Malaka Mohammed, a 23-year-old refugee,
is set to begin studying global politics and law at the UK's
Sheffield University on Sept. 30, after working hard to
obtain a partial scholarship and fundraising through an
online campaign. With about half of the needed donations
already in, Mohammed took a risk and made arrangements to
travel to the UK on September 18. Now she is wondering if
all that work was for naught.
"Gaza really is the world's biggest prison and it's become
more so every day. We thought the Rafah crossing was our
exit to freedom and happiness. But it has become a place
where people lose their hopes," she posted on Facebook.
Other stranded travelers include persons needing medical
care. Ashraf al-Qidra, spokesman for the Gaza Health
Ministry, told Reuters that 1,000 individuals a month
require medical care in Egypt or other countries due to the
shortages and other difficulties in the Strip. While foreign
physicians often travel to Gaza to bring vital supplies and
provide care, these days they aren't being allowed in.
"Until June, we had received 60 delegations of doctors who
performed surgery on 1,000 patients. No delegation has
arrived since then," Qidra told Reuters.
Gazans face fuel shortage
Although word came on September 16, that Palestinian
Authority President Mahmoud Abbas had interceded with the
Egyptian interim government to open up a few hours for
students and sick people, Gazans were unimpressed. Shahd
Abusalama, who is trying to leave to study in Istanbul,
posted this comment: "Thanks a lot, Abbas, for finding some
time to think about us and deciding to take action. We, the
Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, appreciate that you
finally have some sympathy for us. The crisis cannot be
solved by opening up for just two days, four working hours
each. This is not a solution. If they manage to let 500
people cross, what will happen to the rest? F**k him!"
No more pipeline of supplies
Currently, the only way for goods and supplies to enter Gaza
is Israel's Kerem Shalom crossing (Rafah was not constructed
to handle freight traffic). However, the volume allowed is
far below the population's needs (179 trucks a day, compared
to nearly 600 before Israel imposed the siege in 2007).
Thus, underground smuggling tunnels from Egypt to Gaza have
played the role of a crucial "safety valve". According to
the EuroMid Observer for Human Rights, Gaza's businesses
have relied on the tunnels for more than 45 percent of their
raw materials - including about 7,500 tons of construction
materials per day.
However, the Egyptian military now has launched a massive
campaign to destroy the tunnels, without a plan for allowing
goods in via another route. The operation seems to be part
of an effort to cripple Hamas - an offshoot of the Muslim
Brotherhood — which governs the coastal enclave.
Local sources say 90 percent of the tunnels have been forced
out of operation; fewer than 10 are still open, compared to
an estimated 300 before the crackdown. As a result of the
tunnel destruction and other restrictions, says the Euro-Mid
Observer, 60 percent of industrial businesses are closed and
the rest are operating at partial capacity, putting more
than 19,500 people out of work.
A related challenge is that Gazans have come to rely on the
cheap, state-subsidised fuel and gas smuggled from Egypt
(Israeli gas is twice as expensive and thus not affordable).
Long lines at gas stations, as well as a dramatic reduction
in cars available for transportation, are now increasingly
the reality in Gaza.
Yousef Aljamal, a young Gazan employee of a local NGO,
posted on Facebook, "the transportation crisis in Gaza is
deepening. I waited half-an-hour this morning to get a ride
to my office, to no avail. I had to change the route I take
every day, increasing the fees I have to pay. It also took
me half-an-hour to get a ride to get home. Exhausted!"
With the irrepressible Gazan "graveyard" humor, another
friend commented, "I heard that our electricity company is
gonna run their generators on donkeys - sounds like good
news: green energy!"
On September 5, the Palestinian Energy Authority warned that
the Gaza Power Plant is in danger of shutting down
completely due to lack of fuel. If the plant shuts down, the
result would be power outages of 12 to 16 hours-a-day, up
from the current 8 to 12 hours, disabling water and
waste-disposal systems as well as crippling many
businesses.
Even more alarming, warns the UN Office for Coordination of
Humanitarian Assistance to the Occupied Palestinian
Territory, is the fact that Gaza's 14 hospitals and 60
health centres have long relied on 250,000 litres of the
less-expensive Egyptian fuel each month (likewise, 30
percent of their medicines and other supplies had come
through Rafah).
Militarization of the Gaza-Egypt border
Indicative of just how much — and how permanently — the
situation on the ground is changing is the news that the
Egyptian army has begun bulldozing and blowing up houses on
its side of the border near Rafah. The action is step one
towards clearing the way for a "buffer zone" hundreds of
yards wide between the two sides, replicating the barren
no-man's-land that Israel enforces inside Gaza to keep
Palestinians from approaching the Israeli border. Hamas
officials told the Washington Post that the Egyptian
military plans to dig a moat along the border and fill it
with water.
Meanwhile, this month two Egyptian army tanks crossed into
the Gaza side of the border for the first time; although
they didn't go far, it created a precedent.
Gaza fishermen are being attacked as well. On September 14,
news reports confirmed that Egyptian naval forces had opened
fire at and arrested two fishermen in waters off Rafah. That
was the second time in recent weeks that Egyptian forces
opened fire at Gaza fishermen.
As if taking their cue from the new bellicosity of Egypt,
the Israeli military has begun to abrogate the concessions
brokered by Morsi's government in November 2012, as part of
a ceasefire that ended eight days of Israeli strikes on the
Gaza Strip and retaliatory fire from groups in the
territory.
As part of the agreement, Israel had reduced the "buffer
zone" along its border with Gaza, from 300 metres to 100.
However, after Morsi was ousted by the Egyptian military,
farmers reported being shot at as far as 500 metres out. The
Palestinian Center for Human Rights documented during July
and August that Israel was responsible for one shelling, 12
shootings and seven incursions in the buffer zone -
resulting in one death and seven injuries, including two
children.
It seems clear that as the world remains focused on Syria
and Iran, Israel and Egypt are working in concert to
"re-write" the facts on the ground for Gaza. It's time for
the international activist community to mobilize.
