New Force Enters Syrian Conflict. Three serious incidents hit regime.

Breaking News: on March 17: In Damascus, Syria, the stronghold of the tyrant Assad, two huge explosions hit the intelligence and police agencies and related services of the dictator., killing 27 and wounding 97.
On March 18, an explosion in Aleppo, killed and wounded many [numbers censored] among Syrian Christians who have worked closely with the dictator for 30 years.
On March 19, gunmen entered a top level security area of Damascus where General Shawkat lives. He escaped but others including one of the mujahideen were killed in the fighting. Some explosions were heard but the regime covered up the news.
Western observers think all three attacks were from al-Qaidah related fighters because the Syrian Free Army itself does not have this ability.
Meanwhile, Assad's attacks on civilians continue. More than 70 houses were burned down by his forces in one town.
Iran's Press TV is complaining that Saudi Arabia and Qatar are arming the Syrian protestors. Why is this wrong in Iranian eyes? Should Muslims let Assad crush the people of Syria? Ask Press TV.

America the Beautiful has some truly beautiful people. We remember Rachel Corrie who gave her life for Palestine. She was crushed by an Israeli bulldozer as she PHYSICALLY protected a Palestinian home. Scroll way down. {Remember she was only 23 and a "typica"l American.}

Guess what is Obama and Clinton's latest export to the deprived people of the world. America thought that Africa is weak and started its move with the help of its UN puppet Ban-ki Moon. The result was a devastating setback for Obama-Clinton. This is amazing. Please scroll to end.

Running a Marathon to help Homeless Muslim Women

Sis. Nadia, a hijabi-niqabi sister who was once homeless, after she embraced Islam, runs a grass roots level program for women who need shelter in the Baltimore, Maryland area.
On March 17, Nadrat Siddique, an activist in the DC-Maryland area ran the huge Washington, DC marathon which started from the RFK stadium at 8 AM and went across the city. More than 10,000 people were there running for a variety of causes. Nadrat ran for Sis. Nadia's shelter for homeless Muslim women known as Al-Mumtahinah home [named after a chapter in the Qur'an about women who are tested].

This was Nadrat's 12th marathon, and she outdid her own previous record of 3 hours and 53 minutes. This time, she outdid that record, finishing in 3 hours 48 minutes, qualifying her for entry into the exclusive Boston marathon.
We urge readers to help the shelter for homeless women. The information is as follows:

A great new book

Shamim Siddiqi revives the Concept of Islamic Movement in USA.
What should be the central cause of Muslims in America?
Notice the Sorrows Br. Shamim faced.

Calling Humanity by Shamim Siddiqi, 250 pp, April 2012, $11.95, The Forum Publications, 6 Plant Lane, Westbury, NY 11590

Shamim Siddiqi has been living like a true Muslim for most of his 80 years. He has written numerous books and articles on Islam. We introduced one of his books on Al-Fateha to New Trend readers.

He prays, fasts, remembers Allah all the time , and brings up his family as good Muslims. His faith is vibrant and awake. He is the eternal optimist who thinks the Muslims of America will stir sooner or later and justify their existence as Muslims.

Br. Shamim's tragedy is that he was located in the middle of the ISNA-ICNA crowd. He kept giving them the pure, unadulterated, message of Islam. The more he gave them the message, the more they drew away from him. Finally the stage arrived that the 4-letter organizations, as we call them, would not give even a brief mention to his books in their multi-colored public relationing magazines.

However, Br. Shamim does not give up easily. He keeps trying and surely he must have brought at least a few people from ICNA to the right path. Believe it or not, he even tried to pull Siraj Wahhaj away from his way to hell. Siraj too does not give up easily!

Along the way, Br. Shamim started receiving the messages of Jamaat al-Muslimeen and started reading New Trend. I visited him and was impressed by his faith in Allah and his steady efforts to serve the Cause of Islam.

It's important for Muslims in America to follow the pattern of the life of Muhammad, pbuh, in Makka. The teachings of the Qur'an and the Hadith of the Prophet, pbuh, should be taken to the American people with wisdom and understanding but without compromising the truth. The Islamic terminology for this INVITATION to ISLAM, Br. Shamim calls DA'WAH. This is the most peaceful way of reaching out to non-Muslims and to mis-directed Muslims.

However for Da'wah to be successful, the Muslim who gives the message [the da'ee] should prepare to serve Allah's cause. All of our life's endeavors, says Br. Shamim, should be linked to Da'wah. This is not a Christian missionary type activity but a steady outreach in our DAILY LIVES.

The author describes in depth what it means to be a Muslim and provides inspiring and motivational quotes from the Qur'an and the teachings of Muhammad, pbuh. The book, Calling Humanity, is valuable for these quotes alone in addition to everything else.

For Da'wah, we must understand the basic teachings of other religions too in addition to Qur'an and Hadith. Br. Shamim teaches about Christianity, Judaism, Hinduism and Buddhism. He also notices the growth of materialism and atheism.

Parts of the book call for a personal commitment to the Message of Islam. There is in fact a form to be filled in and sent to the author.

This is an authentic journey into the Islamic mindset. Extracts from Br. Shamim's previous books are included and provide a panoramic view of his struggle for Islam.

Inshallah, in the next edition attention will be paid to remove a smattering of technical and English errors. However, these do not damage the totality of the book. I recommend it with confidence to all serious Muslims.
Let us see the vision of the future. As Syed Qutb wrote, the future undoubtedly belongs to Islam, inshallah. It is no coincidence that the beautiful cover design of CALLING HUMANITY has been prepared by Br. Shamim's granddaughter Hera.

Latest Khutba
Act of 'White Supremacist' in Afghanistan. It's an Imperialist Tradition.
Hindu & Jewish-Christian Concepts of Womanhood must be rejected.

We accept all Islamic schools of Thought but we check their actions.

On March 16, Dr. Kaukab Siddique gave his latest khutba at Masjid Jamaat al-Muslimeen. The summary given here will be emailed to our readers' list, and then will be posted on our web site and then placed on several facebook pages, inshallah.
Text #1:
'Say: "For me, I am on a clear Sign from my Lord but you reject Him. What you would see hastened is not in my power. Authority belongs to Allah alone. He declares the Truth and He is the best of judges." ' [The Qur'an 6:57.]
Text #2:
"The best Word is Allah's Book, and the best way is the way of Muhammad, and the worst matters are the innovations in religion, and whatever you have been promised will surely come to pass, and you cannot escape it." [Prophet Muhammad, pbuh, in Sahih Bukhari].

  1. The mindset that militarily weaker people are inferior to heavily armed Euro-Americans is fundamental to the American way of thinking. It can best be described as the concept of "White Supremacy."

  2. Historically, we can research it in the indiscriminate slaughter of Native Americans [designated as "Red Indians"]. We can see it in the 400 years of the slave trade as well as in the colonization of Africa and India.

  3. In our times, we have seen this slaughter of "inferior people" in Palestine, Iraq and Afghanistan.

  4. The idea of the inferior "other" and the right to humiliate others can be seen in the suffering of Muslims in Guantanamo Bay, Abu Ghraib, Bagram and in numerous Israeli prisons.

  5. Hence it comes as no surprise that a US elite trooper, armed with the latest gun, went into the homes of the poor and the oppressed in a little village in Afghanistan late at night and slaughtered 9 children, 3 women and 4 men.

  6. This was not a hostile village. The villagers had back to their homes after US assurances that they would not be bothered. [Sort of like the Wounded Knee massacre of Native Americans.]

  7. The trooper was not a crazy kid who went berserk. He was a highly trained veteran of 11 years and he knew exactly what he was doing.

  8. Many Americans are defending the terrible crimes committed by this elite trooper, America's best, by emphasizing his humanity, his family and the stress of war. It's a bunch of lies because troops in Afghanistan are VOLUNTEERS. Of course, at the point at which a person kills another human, there is an element of insanity involved. All premeditated murders are insane at the POINT of the ACT of killing. There is no way this "insanity" can be accepted in a just court of law. Rational people do not commit murders.
  9. Hitler is accused of all kinds of things but as a leader he knew that if a military force is permitted to get away with the killing of defenseless civilians, military discipline would not survive. Hitler would have had this man executed without delay, not for love of the civilians but for the sake of discipline. Our White Supremacists have outdone Hitler.

    Part 2 of Khutba

  10. Muslim unity is essential in the face of the burgeoning war against Islam. The weaknesses of Muslims are internal. Look at how we stay away from people of other Islamic schools of thought.

  11. Read the Qur'an 2:177. It's very clear that ALL Islamic schools of Thought are within the orthodoxy of Islam defined in 2:177. So if you are Hanafi, Maliki, Shafi'ii, Hanbali, Jaafari, Ahle Hadith, you are our brother or sister.

  12. Bida' is introduced into Islam by sects which go beyond 2:177 and start changing the foundations of Islam as the Qadianis ["Ahmeddis"] did under British protection, or the Bahais under the Shah of Iran, or the Agha Khanis claiming a secularist friend of Israel and dictators as "hazar imam.." Islam has to be based on clear texts of the Qur'an and the authentic hadith, not on western influenced "interpretations."

  13. Those who are to be accepted as Muslims should base their claim to Islam on their loyalty to Allah and Obedience to His Prophet, pbuh. Read 49:13. Allah has made it very clear that TAQWA is the standard for judging Muslims. It has depth of meaning in it. Fear of Allah and Allah-conscious behavior is included.

  14. One who supports the oppressors and the occupiers and the slavers against Muslims should not claim to be followers of Islam even if they pray and fast and give zakat. Opposition to oppressors is absolutely required in Islam. You must indicate which side you are on: With the oppressed or with the oppressors.

  15. Bid'a also comes into our ranks through acceptance of insidious Hindu and Jewish-Christian ideas, especially about women. The Christian scriptures see the male as the embodiment of God and the woman is supposed to worship God through the male. Female inequality and male superiority are essentially Jewish and Christian ideas. See Genesis 3, 1 Timothy 12-14 and 1Corinthians 14.34. With the education of women, the Bible's ideas became secondary in the West and secularism won.

  16. In Islam, superiority is ONLY on the basis of BEHAVIOR, not gender. Men and women are equal. See 9:71.

  17. Muslims are also influenced by bid'a coming from Hinduism. The idea of the husband as god [ nauzoobillahe min zalik] in ingrained in Hinduism. A pious Hindu woman was supposed to commit SUTTEE [burn herself in the husband's funeral pyre]. If she survived as a widow, she could not re-marry. By contrast Islam encourages marriage of widows as seen in the life of Muhammad, pbuh. Indo-Pakistani Muslims are hugely influenced by Hindu ideas of male superiority.
  18. Remember dear Muslims: The Qur'an says, NO BEARER OF BURDENS SHALL BEAR THE BURDEN OF ANOTHER. [6:164] Male and female are responsible for their deeds as EQUALS before Allah.

New Testament
"Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law." [1 Cor.14:34]

"But I do not allow a woman to teach or exercise authority over a man, but to remain quiet. 13 For it was Adam who was first created, and then Eve. 14 And it was not Adam who was deceived, but the woman being quite deceived, fell into transgression," (1 Tim. 2:12-14).

Old Testament
Genesis 3: 16: "Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee. "

Pakistan: from Pakistani observers
Osama Permanent Part of Pakistani Narrative: Both Sides touched by his life & Death

Reports in pro-government daily Dawn: testimony by Mansoor Ijaz and others shows that both General Kayani and President Zardari were in telephonic contact with each other at the exact time when the US was attacking Shaykh Osama's home in Abbottabad.

The American pilot leading the attack was in touch with Pakistani air control.

Pak regime says it will press charges against the three Islamic women who were the wives of Shaykh Osama. They have been under Pakistani detention since May 2, 2011. One of them gave a hard time to an American who tried to interrogate her. Pakistani secularists think it very funny that the Islamic leader had four wives permitted by the Qur'an.

The Pakistani Taliban [TTP] have announced that they will attack Pakistan courts and judicial systems if the widows of Shaykh Osama are put on trial.

The new leader of Al-Qaidah, Dr. Ayman al-Zawahiri has issued a rare video which has been monitored by SITE which looks at Jihad videos around the world and translates them into English to help US intelligence. In this video, al-Zawahiri urges Pakistanis to rise up and overthrow the US-supported regime in Pakistan. He also called for the release of Dr. Aafia, Dr. Omar Abdel Rahman and the wives of Shaykh Osama.

Top Islamic Leader's Extraordinary Comments on Shaykh Osama & President Zardari

LAHORE, Mar. 18: Ameer, Jamaat-e-Islami,Pakistan, Syed Munawar Hasan, has described Osama bin Laden as the greatest martyr and President Zardari as the biggest traitor.

Addressing a public meeting at a Chakwal village on Sunday, he said that Osama bin Laden had refused to obey Satan upon which the US was so much upset and ashamed that it could not release any photograph or video of Osama after his martyrdom.

Syed Munawar Hasan further said that Prime Minister Gilani who had challenged the Supreme Court's dignity should have been handcuffed and also chained because not only had he violated his oath but also committed contempt by refusing to write to the Swiss Banks only to save President Zardari.

He impressed upon the Chief Justice,Pakistan not to be impressed by the holders of the highest offices and treat all on equal footings. Whosoever challenged the dignity of the court should be handed down deterrent punishment, he said, adding that had the people like Babar Awan and Rehman Malik been jailed for contempt, the Prime Minister could not have the courage to disobey the court orders.

Syed Munawar Hasan said that the nation was in the grip of beasts as a gang of exploiters was ruling the country under the garb of democracy while the common man was unable to make both ends meet. He said the nation should realize that corrupt people could not control corruption and the masses would have to rise against the oppressive political system. For the last 65 years, the country was being ruled by Qabza groups, feudal lords, and capitalists. Basic human rights were violated during all periods and poverty, oppression and injustice continued to increase.

The JI Ameer said hat President Zardari had showered praises on Prime Minister Gilani whose only achievement was to hide Zardari's corruption.

He said that the parliament that was keen to restore NATO supplies to facilitate the enemy in the killing of innocent Pakistanis was not the representative of this nation. Despite the parliament decision, the rulers had continued NATO supplies by lying to the nation. Allowing drone attacks to kill our own citizens desptite being a nuclear power was most shameful, he remarked.
Syed Munawar hasan accused the rulers of following US policy on Balochistan, and said, if Balochistan was to be retained as a part of the country, the Baloch should not be pushed to the wall.
He concluded that the PPP leadership would also have to account for MQM's crimes.

Rachel never died
Mar 16th, 2012 | By Aisha Aijaz

Rachel Corrie, beautiful soul, born in Olympia, Washington was no ordinary child, no ordinary 23 year old student and no ordinary human being. And people, who are extraordinary, never die. They live for ever in the hearts and minds of their followers. They give direction to many and because of them, hope never dies. Because of such crazy and courageous, the ugliness of injustices is exposed.
Her 5th grade speech ' I am here because I care' revealed no small dreams. At such a tender age, she talked of the oppressed, the poor and hungry and resolved to eradicate the ugly realities by the year 2000. As a student, she was different and wanted to explore the world especially after 9/11, year 2001. Ditching a beautiful and colourful American dream which she could have lived like many of her age, she travelled thousands of miles to Gaza to act as a human shield, where mercy and humanity is butchered every day and night, where men, women and children are murdered as a part of ethnic cleansing program, where houses are bulldozed, olive trees are cut, help including food and medicines from the rest of the world is denied and flotillas travelling to help humanity are attacked.
"Anyway, I'm rambling. Just want to write to my Mom and tell her that I'm witnessing this chronic, insidious genocide and I'm really scared, and questioning my fundamental belief in the goodness of human nature. This has to stop. I think it is a good idea for us all to drop everything and devote our lives to making this stop. I don't think it's an extremist thing to do anymore. I still really want to dance around to Pat Benatar and have boyfriends and make comics for my co-workers. But I also want this to stop. Disbelief and horror is what I feel. Disappointment! I am disappointed that this is the base reality of our world and that we, in fact, participate in it. This is not at all what I asked for when I came into this world. This is not at all what the people here asked for when they came into this world. This is not the world you and Dad wanted me to come into when you decided to have me." (28.02.2003)
On the day she died (16.03.2003), she was 23, dressed in a fluorescent orange vest and with a megaphone in her hand she was trying to stop the demolition of a Palestinian home where she lived with the children who were considered family by her and vice versa. She was mercilessly crushed under a military Caterpillar bulldozer which came towards her, knocked her down, crushed her with its blade, backed up, and ran her over again and she died shortly afterwards. 'My back is broken' were her last words.
What did she have in common with the Palestinian; faith, ethnicity, skin colour, language, social background? Absolutely nothing! What was common was humanity. She had eyes that could appreciate the truth, mind that wasn't closed because of any bias, heart that would cry on injustice and brutality and a soul that would feel the pain of Nazi-style genocide.
Her emails to her family are a must read in which she accounts Israeli atrocities towards innocent Palestinians.
"I think, although I'm not entirely sure, that even the smallest of these children understand that life is not like this everywhere. An eight-year-old was shot and killed by an Israeli tank two days before I got here, and many of the children murmur his name to me, "Ali"-or point at the posters of him on the walls. The children also love to get me to practice my limited Arabic by asking me "Kaif Sharon?" "Kaif Bush?" and they laugh when I say "Bush Majnoon" "Sharon Majnoon" back in my limited Arabic. (How is Sharon? How is Bush? Bush is crazy. Sharon is crazy.)"

In 2003, Rachel's news opened a new aspect of Palestinian cause to me. I learnt humanity existed above the boundaries of faith, ethnic origins and languages. I came to learn there are people on this earth who would risk their lives and everything for some other people despite absolutely no worldly strings attached between them. And it's to date that I have explored a world that is cruel, unjust and merciless, but such people are a reason to live and resist. They give you direction, motivation and energy to challenge the ugly forces of the world.
For me Rachel Corrie is not the name of a person. It's a phenomenon which embodies humanity, resistance, courage and craziness. Yes, she was as crazy as it needs to be to shake the world and stir the plans of the handful of unjust men ruling this world. And it's this craziness and madness which is the ultimate requirement to challenge falsehood and malice. Human beings live and die, but phenomena, missions and ideas never die. They're like beacons of light for generations to come. Rachel Corrie, an American, a peace activist and a trailblazer, will always be my hero.

"Love you. Really miss you. I have bad nightmares about tanks and bulldozers outside our house and you and me inside. Sometimes the adrenaline acts as an anaesthetic for weeks and then in the evening or at night it just hits me again - a little bit of the reality of the situation. I am really scared for the people here'.."When I come back from Palestine, I probably will have nightmares and constantly feel guilty for not being here, but I can channel that into more work. Coming here is one of the better things I've ever done. So when I sound crazy, or if the Israeli military should break with their racist tendency not to injure white people, please pin the reason squarely on the fact that I am in the midst of a genocide which I am also indirectly supporting, and for which my government is largely responsible. "I love you and Dad..." Email to parents ~ 27.02.2003

African Leaders Reject U.N. Call For Homosexual Equality
By Patrick Burke
February 20, 2012

(CNSNews.com) -- Leaders and government officials of at least four African states publicly resisted United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon's recent call for an end to social and legal discrimination against homosexuals in Africa.
In remarks to the Summit of the African Union in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, on Jan. 29, U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon addressed the issue of homosexuality in Africa, saying, "Let me mention one form of discrimination that has been ignored or even sanctioned by many States for far too long: discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender identity. This has prompted some governments to treat people as second-class citizens, or even criminals."
"Confronting this discrimination is a challenge. But we must live up to the ideals of the Universal Declaration," he said, in reference to the U.N.'s Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
Last week at a meeting of the U.N. Human Rights Council in Switzerland, Libya's envoy to the U.N., Ibrahim Dabbashi, said that issues concerning homosexuality "affect religion and the continuation and reproduction of the human race," reported the Geneva-based U.N. Watch. Dabbashi also criticized a U.N. pro-homosexual resolution, passed in June 2011, saying Libya would have opposed it had it not, at the time, been suspended from the Council.
U.N. Human Rights Council President Laura Dupuy Lasserre responded to the Libyan delegate's comments by stating, "the Human Rights Council is here to defend human rights and prevent discrimination."
According to foreign media news reports, such as West Africa Democracy Radio, there are some African leaders, including President John Atta Mills of Ghana, who do not share the same view as the U.N. secretary general.
"We have made our position well known. Ghanaian society frowns upon homosexuality and everybody has been telling us that democracy means governance for the people, by the people in the interest of the people," Mills told Ghanian journalists in response Secretary Ban Ki-Moon's remarks.

Liberia President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf's press secretary issued a statement saying she would veto legislation to legalize same-sex marriage.
"Liberians should hold this government by her word. This president will not sign into law anything called same-sex marriage. This government opposes gay rights. In fact, government will not compromise its religious belief for any (foreign) aid," said Press Secretary Jerolinmek Piah.
Similarly, President Yahya Jammeh of Gambia reaffirmed that he would never accept homosexual practices in his country, according to a South African news service, saying it was destructive to Gambian culture.
In recent months, the issue of homosexuality has become increasingly prevalent in African politics and has contributed to the shaping of relations between Africa and Western powers. In a speech last month to diplomats at the United Nations in Geneva, Secretary Hillary Clinton advocated for gay rights overseas, saying that "gay rights are human rights."
Additionally, UK officials, such as Prime Minister David Cameron and Foreign Secretary William Hagu,e have threatened to hold foreign aid from nations that do not give equal rights and respect to homosexuals.
"Britain is one of the premier aid givers in the world. We want to see countries that receive our aid adhering to proper human rights. We are saying that is one of the things that determines our aid policy, and there have been particularly bad examples where we have taken action," said Cameron in an interview last October.
According to the research group Public Agenda, homosexual practices among men are illegal in 14 African states.

Mass Murderer of Indian Muslims Welcomed by Time Magazine & Brookings

Assalamu alaikum,

Ask Brooking's Institute to correct their white wash of Narendra Modi's crimes against humanity.

Recently, the Time magazine has published the pogrom politician, Narendra Modi, on its cover and Brooking's Institute has published a positive opinion piece on him.
Interestingly, the Supreme Court of India, the US State Department, and the Human Rights Watch think otherwise.

This travesty of decency happened on the 10th anniversary of the Gujarat pogrom, in which more than 2,000 Muslims were brutally massacred, hundreds of little girls and women gang-raped then burnt alive, some hacked to death and 150,000 people displaced.

The victims still await justice as ordered by the Indian Supreme Court who has blamed Modi's government of dragging its feet. Millions of Muslims are being denied jobs, education and housing in Gujarat.

An award-winning documentary, A Decade of Shame tells this story. The Coalition Against Genocide has detailed resources on Modi's genocide.

Modi was blamed by the international human rights organizations, Gujarat's top police officers and the State department. In 2005, the US government refused Modi a visitor's visa and revoked his diplomatic visa.

Modi's Propaganda War

The positive image-building of Modi is not a coincidence. The Hindutva-supremacist movement that killed Gandhi and was responsible for numerous anti-Muslim and anti-Christian pogroms would like Modi to run its election campaign. It is even thinking of putting Modi forward as its candidate for the post of Indian prime minister.

Modi's propaganda that his state government is responsible for the highest economic growth in India has been debunked. Even if it were to be true, a man being blamed for crimes against humanity should not be allowed to white wash his crimes. Would Time ad Brooking's glamorize Hitler, who also happens to be a hero for many leaders of the Hindutva movement?

We Can Do It Again

In 2005, with your help, the Coalition Against Genocide was able to defeat the powerful Hindutva lobby and got Modi's visa revoked. We can certainly put pressure on Time magazine and Brooking's Institute.

Just two weeks ago, the Coalition Against Genocide conducted vigils in the US where inter-faith and human rights leaders vowed to help bring Modi to justice. Here is a cry for Gandhi's India not Modi's Gujrat.
