Jamaat al-Muslimeen, on behalf of US Muslims, condemns the atrocity committed by a Special Forces US trooper who went late at night into a village in Panjwai area of Afghanistan and killed 16 defenseless civilians, including 9 children and 3 women.
For discipline to be maintained in the US military, excuses for the trooper cannot be accepted. He was a veteran of 11 years and served in the Navy Seals. He knows what the rules of war are. If the US wants to withdraw in good order from the Islamic nation, the soldier should be handed over to the villagers to be punished under Islamic law. They can forgive him or they can treat him as he treated them.

Palestine: Israeli Air Raids Kill 21 in Gaza: New Aggression Planned

On March 9, 10, 11 and 12, late model Israeli jet fighters raided targets in Gaza killing 21 people. The Israeli attacks began on March 9 when the Israelis killed a local Palestinian leader known as Zuhair al-Qasa. His supporters fired rockets at Israel [minor weapons which caused no losses]. Since then Israel has been raiding Gaza which has bo air defenses.
Israeli leaders have indicated that they may expand the attacks to try and destroy Hamas and destroy Gaza. The turmoil in Syria is taking the attention off the Israeli aggression.

March 10-12: New Trend observers say that Assad is no longer anxious about US, French or Israeli intervention, so now he is going all out to slaughter the Islamic opposition.
In Homs, Syrian [Alawite] gangsters are going from house to house killing defenseless people. On March 11, at least 35 women and children were literally butchered by the gangsters backed by Syrian troops.
Meanwhile, Assad's military is now bombarding the city of Idlib near the Turkish border, trying to bring it down to the condition of Homs. However protest rallies are being attempted by the people of Syria all over the country, with the strongest being in Deraa and Hama.

Yemen
al-Qaida Victory at Dofwas Stuns Yemen: Attack on the Capital Sana'a Feared. Islamic Emirate Declared

On March 4, after fajr, Islamic fighters of al-Qaida known as Ansar al-Shari'a attacked Yemen's 39th Armored Brigade stationed at Dofwas to guard the flanks of two infantry brigades meant to protect the road to Aden. The Yemeni troops fled leaving their tanks and heavy weapons behind. Al-Qaida then attacked the other two brigades but withdrew when reinforcements arrived from Aden after 5 hours of fighting.
AFP reports that 183 Yemeni troops were killed, 150 wounded and 55 captured by al-Qaida. The local hospitals are full of the bodies of troops and of the wounded, Yemen Post reports.
Yemen Observer and other government media indicate that US and Yemeni jet fighters are trying to destroy the heavy weaponry seized by the Islamic people but have only partially succeeded. The captured troops, including 10
officers, were seen by air surveillance to be training the mujahideen in the use of the heavy weapons, these reports say.
Meanwhile, the capital Sana'a is on high alert owing to reports that al-Qaida fighters are sneaking into the city to prepare for an attack on the city. The mujahideen have set up an Islamic Emirate in the areas of Abyan, Jaar and Shabwa and plan to do the same in the rest of Yemen.
Hillary Clinton has condemned the attack on the 39th armored brigade and said that Al-Qaida does not care for the souls of human beings.
Yemen Observer also says that 300 Islamic African fighters have arrived from Somalia at the Yemeni coastal town of Shagra and are on the way to Zunjibar to join the al-Qaidah fighters.
Yemen's new president, Hadi, approved by the US and Saudi Arabia, vowed that al-Qaida will be crushed by force.

Afghanistan:
US Soldier Kills 16 Civilians, US Air Strike kills 4. Taliban Kill 6 Brits.

Breaking news: March 11 An elite US trooper went on a killing spree in an unarmed Afghan village in the Panjwai area of Kandahar province. He killed at least 16 people, mostly women and children, reuters reports.

Four days earlier in Kapisa province, a US air strike killed 4 civilians and wounded 1. US said, sorry we thought they were Taliban.

On March 9, in a Taliban IED attack, 6 of Britain's best troops were killed.

[The US has indicated that it is holding 5,000 Afghans in a prison in Parwan province. The prison will be handed over to Karzai after 6 months but no one will be released without US permission, US reports say.

Somalia:
Ethiopian Invasion Force Runs into Heavy Somali Islamic Resistance

March 10: According to the Washington Post and wire services, heavy fighting has stalled an Ethiopian invasion force at Baidoa and a smaller town which it had captured. The Ethiopians [said to be surrogates for the US] were hit hard hard by al-Shabab and lost 73 killed. Al-Shabab also took away piles of Ethiopian weapons and ammo. The Somalis put two of the captured Ethiopian troops on the phone to BBC to explain how heavily the invasion force had suffered. Bodies of civilians killed in the Ethiopian bombardment are lying all over town.

Nigeria
Boko Haram Retaliating Against Destruction of Mosques and Madrasas by Nigerian Army.
British Special Forces in Nigeria Failed to Rescue hostages.
March 11. Boko Haram ["break with the West"] Islamic movement is retaliating against the Nigerian army's destruction of mosques and Islamic schools [madrasas]. It announced: If you destroy our schools, we'll destroy yours. If you destroy our mosques, we'll destroy your churches.
On March 8, 3 Boko Haram men were killed by the army in Maiduguri as they were setting fire to a government school which was closed. No students were hurt. Earlier, Boko Haram burned 6 government schools in retaliation for 6 Islamic schools smashed by government tanks.

On March 11, a human bomber attacked a church in Jos where earlier last year Christians had joined the army in a massacre of hundreds of Muslims whose bodies were dumped into local Mosques. There are Christian casualties this time.

British Fiasco: British Special Forces are in Nigeria. On March 8, they tried to rescue two Europeans in Sokoto, a Brit and an Italian kidnapped by a Muslim group. Both hostages were killed by the kidnapers. Boko Haram categorically denied that it has anything to do with the kidnapping. Later reports indicate that 8 people connected with the kidnapping have been arrested by Nigerian forces. Their leader is from Niger. This could be an al-Qaida group, British observers say. The Italians are very upset by the British attack. They were in the process of paying off the kidnapers to get their man out.

Also, on March 9, four senior police officers were killed when they tried to storm a Boko Haram stroinghold in Kano. The same day Nigeria's military leader Air Chief Marshal Oluseyi Petinrin said that the days of Boko Haram are numbered and we will kill all of them. He was speaking to other non-Muslim military chiefs in Ivory Coast who want to coordinate operations against Boko Haram.

AG Eric Holder, Wrong on the Law, the Politics, and on the Wrong Side of History

During a speech at Northwestern University's Law School, Attorney General Eric Holder explained that the American government can kill American citizens abroad under the following conditions, "First, the U.S. government has determined, after a thorough and careful review, that the individual poses an imminent threat of violent attack against the United States; second, capture is not feasible; and third, the operation would be conducted in a manner consistent with applicable law of war principles."

There's one small problem with Holder's analysis, it's called the Constitution. Holder is wrong on the law, wrong on the politics, and on the wrong side of history.

Section 1 of the 14th Amendment of the US Constitution says in part, "No State shall...deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws." Holder went on to explain that when it comes to national security 'Due process' and 'judicial process' are not one and the same. First, this distinction is not made in the Constitution and second, the Constitution guarantees "due process of law" not just due process.

Black's Law Dictionary 5th Edition defines "due process of law" as "Law in its regular course of administration through courts of justice." It also states, "...no person shall be deprived of life...unless matter involved first shall have been adjudicated against him upon trial..." For Holder to state due process of law does not involve judicial process conflicts directly with established law. As a graduate of Columbia Law School he knows better. Even a first year law student would be banished to the law library if they made such a ridiculous argument.

Even more basic than the 14th Amendment argument is the Article 1, Section 9 argument. It states, "The Privilege of the Writ of Habeas Corpus shall not be suspended, unless when in Cases of Rebellion or Invasion the public Safety may require it. No Bill of Attainder...shall be passed." A Bill of Attainder is a government declaration that a person is guilty of a crime that carries the death penalty without the benefit of a trial. What else is a government determination to kill an American citizen without any judicial proceedings other than a Bill of Attainder?

As the Obama administration spokesperson for the Justice Department, Holder is wrong on the politics. Senator and candidate Obama characterized the national security policies of the Bush administration as "draconian", "ineffective" and "counter to the values of the United States." Candidate Obama railed against his predecessor's counterterrorism techniques such as domestic warrantless wiretapping, waterboarding, military tribunals, and indefinite detention at Guantanamo Bay. Making these assertions, Holder sounds a lot like former Bush administration counsel John Yoo the author of the opinion justifying torture. Candidate Obama promised the American people "change we can believe in." The more these policies change, the more they look like the Bush administration, and the more they appear to have been politically motivated.

During his speech at Northwestern Holder said, "...the operation would be conducted in a manner consistent with applicable law of war principles." The problem with this rational is that America is not at war so what war principles is he referring to? The Constitution divides war powers between the Congress and the President. Article 1, Section 8 of the Constitution states, "The Congress shall have Power: To declare War..." If Holder was referring to The "War on Terror" that is just a marketing scheme devised by the Bush administration to convince Americans that the powers of the Executive Branch post 9-11 needed to be expanded. Congress has authorized military action but has not formally declared war.

Holder's comments are even more disturbing when considered in the context of President Obama signing the 2012 Defense Authorization Act (DAA). Section 1021 of the Act allows for the indefinite detention of American citizens and/or anyone who commits a "belligerent act" against the U.S. As stated above, Article 1, Section 9 states, "The Privilege of the Writ of Habeas Corpus shall not be suspended, unless when in Cases of Rebellion or Invasion the public Safety may require it." By signing the 2012 DAA President Obama reaffirmed Bush's suspension of habeas corpus instead of overturning it. So now, not only can American citizens be indefinitely detained, they can also be assassinated by their own government at the will and whim of their President.

The framers of the Constitution endorsed these protections to insure that a president could not act like a monarch or dictator and unilaterally violate a citizens civil rights and liberties. In the 1960's FBI Director Hoover spied upon and disrupted the efforts of those involved in the Civil Rights Movement by creating the Counter Intelligence Program or COINTELPRO. Hoover's misguided fears, personal bigotry, and sense that members of the movement were "enemy combatants" engaged in "belligerent acts" against the United States resulted in the harassment and false imprisonment of conscience citizens, and many believe the assassinations of Dr. King, Malcolm X, and others fighting for equality in America. Holder is on the wrong side of history.

Benjamin Franklin is credited with saying, "those who will sacrifice liberty for security deserve neither." If a US President can order the assassination of an American citizen without judicial approval he has become no better than the dictators that we have invested invaluable time, blood, and treasure to overthrow. With these pronouncements we have met the enemy and the enemy is us.

Are Muslims becoming like Mislead Christians?

There is an interesting statement used by some Muslims. It states that when a person commits one sin, s/he opens the door for ten sins, and those ten sins open the doors for a hundred more sins, and so on andso forth.
According to historians, during the early stage in the practice of Christianity, there was much confusion among the followers of Jesus and much divisiveness and fragmentation into various sects. The Roman
emperor of the time, Constantine attempted to bring about a peaceful resolution among the various sects of Christians in order to maintain political and social stability in his empire. The Nicene Creed won the day. It brought in Trinity (belief in Jesus as God/Son of God). It was a political decision not based on the Message that Prophet Jesus had preached. It has led to fragmentations and confusion and loss of Faith among Christians for centuries.
Early Islamic history also encountered political infighting which led to Muslims choosing sides in order to grab political power and in the process it led to sectarian violence and fragmentation of the early
Muslim community of believers. The present day Sunni and Shia divide among the followers of Islam was a purely political battle that has continued to this day.

This divisiveness of over 1,400 years has created a "garbled" and "fragmented" rhetoric causing ongoing violence and killing of Muslims by Muslims in the name of Islam. These two factions (and there are several others now) are ignoring the fact that by continuing this disunity of the Ummah, they are violating many,
many verses of the Qur'an. The sins of the past are walking down history lane and nobody it seems is able to put an end to it.
What is becoming starkly apparent in recent years is the fact that it is politicians and rulers and "kings" of some Muslim countries who are "instigators" and "encouragers" of this fragmentation in the
Muslim global community. They are arming the two factions (Sunni and Shia) with weapons in order to keep the Muslims "busy fighting," for this makes it easier for these political leaders and rulers to keep
control and political power in their "kingdom" and also in the global Muslim /Islamic arena.
Some of these "rulers" and "kings" of Muslim countries are using various Muslim organizations in the USA, for example, giving them "crumbs" and in return spreading their own "brand" of Islam via labels such as the "Salafi Doctrine"(and there are others besides this one) which discourages Muslims from using their own rational minds in their practice of Islam. Instead, they are being brain-washed with ridiculous, cooked-up physical "rituals" for each and every aspect of
their daily religious practices and behavior.
In spite of what most people assume about this religion, Islam is the least "ritualistic" religion. In reality, it encourages rational thinking, offers choices to believers in the practice of their Faith, and freedom and dignity to all.
The statements that these "men-made" doctrines attempt to "ingrain" into the minds and thought processes of Muslims are, when examined closely and in context of the Qur'an, actually contradicting verses in the Qur'an. For example there is not a single verse in the Qur'an where Allah Almighty gives up Allah's Power "up for grabs" as they say (of Final Judgment for rewards and punishments to individual human beings amongst Allah's Creation) to any in his Creation, including Man.
In the end, only Lord Almighty has the Power to Forgive and to Punish. The final decision and judgment is in the Hand of the Creator) which should give pause to all Muslims before they decide to pass
judgment on their fellow human beings. Submission, Fear, Awe of the Almighty and Justice and welfare of the community is what Muslims must consider every moment of their lives on
earth.
So, the question that comes to mind is, can Muslims imagine that Allah Almighty is on their side while they are violating any part/portion of the Sublime Message of the Qur'an?
May Allah Almighty have Mercy on us all!

About the Nicene Creed
The Nicene Creed was first adopted by church leaders in 325 at the First Council of Nicaea. Later that century, at the Council of Constantinople (381) some minor changes were made and it was again reaffirmed at the Council of Chalcedon (451). This ecumenical creed is the most widely accepted creed in the Christian faith and it is an essential part of the doctrine and liturgy of Lutheran churches. Historically it has been used at Holy Communion on Sundays and major feasts.

The Nicene Creed

We believe in one God, the Father, the Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all that is, seen and unseen. We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father, God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, of one Being with the Father; through him all things were made. For us and for our salvation he came down from heaven, was incarnate of the Holy Spirit and the virgin Mary and became truly human. For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate; he suffered death and was buried. On the third day he rose again in accordance with the Scriptures; he ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and his kingdom will have no end.

On March 26 and March 29, 2012, the 2012 Coalition for Justice & Progressive Change (which includes DC Troy Davis, Campaign to End the Death Penalty, Greater Baltimore Chapter of National Action Network, Bowie State University Students Against Injustice, Morgan State University Students Against Injustice, Nat Turner Rebellion, and Baltimore-D.C. Jericho Chapter) will launch a massive lobbying and protest campaign on the Maryland General Assembly and on Governor Martin O'Malley in Annapolis, Maryland. Our goals will be simple: (1) to abolish Maryland's death penalty this year and (2) to free political prisoner Marshall Eddie Conway this year. With the aim of bringing thousands of demonstrators to downtown Annapolis, we plan to close down the Maryland state government.

Join us so that Governor Martin O'Malley, Senate President Thomas Miller, House Speaker Michael Busch, Senate President Pro Tem Nathaniel McFadden, Senate Majority Leader Robert Garagiola, Senate Deputy Majority Leader Catherine Pugh, Senate Majority Whips Lisa Gladden and Jamie Raskin, House Majority Leader Kumar Barve, Senator Robert Zirkin, Senator Norman Stone, Senator James Brochin, Senator Joseph Getty, House Judiciary Committee Chairperson Joseph Vallario, and House Majority Whip Talmadge Branch do what we demand of them: that they immediately abolish the racially bigoted Maryland death penalty and that they immediately free political prisoner Marshall Conway. These two acts must take place this year.

After all, in Maryland, 80% of the people on death row are black men and 77% of the more than 27,000 people locked away in Maryland prisons and jails are black people. Meanwhile, black people make up merely 28% of the state's population. Moreover, this pattern follows Maryland's history because, since the end of the Civil War in 1865, Maryland executed 191 people, with 157 of that number (or 82.2%) being black. Similarly, from 1882 through 1968, white mobs lynched 29 people in Maryland, with 27 of that number (or 93.1%) being black. These statistics are not an accident. Rather, this problem results from a racially bigoted system within the American police state.
Let us never forget that this same system legally lynched Troy Anthony Davis in Georgia on September 21, 2011, albeit after he proved his innocence when seven of the nine witnesses who testified against him at trial recanted their trial testimonies under oath and confessed to lying in a fashion that resulted in Troy Davis' conviction and death sentence. This should never happen again!

On March 26 and on March 29, 2012, in Annapolis, Maryland, we must remember the brave and politically grounded sacrifice of Troy Anthony Davis and begin the process of bringing the system of racist bigotry to an end. If the legislature finally saw the wisdom of legalizing same sex marriage so as to protect equal rights with regard to sexual preference in Maryland, then the legislature should further the cause of advancing "equal rights" by abolishing the state's racially bigoted death penalty and of freeing Marshall Eddie Conway, a political prisoner who went to prison in 1970 and who has lived in prison for nearly 42 years solely because he fought as a Black Panther against the same racism practiced in Maryland from 1968 through 1970 that we confront today in Maryland's death penalty. Join us in this campaign. The cause is right. The time for our movement is now!

Nationwide Support for Baluchistan: Islamic leaders Condemn Military Action, Kidnapping of Baluch Activists, Torture of Prisoners and Economic Deprivation

LAHORE, Mar. 9: Balochistan Day was observed all over the country on the appeal of the Defai e Pakistan Council in order to express solidarity with the Balochistan people and to stress for the solution of their problems on emergency basis.
Demonstrations were held after Juma prayers in major cities including Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad, Quetta, Peshawar. Prominent leaders from different parties of the DPC while addressing the rallies, called upon the government to accept the genuine demands of the Balochistan people, stop the military operation there and recover the missing persons. They said that the whole nation stood with the people of Balochistan and urged the rulers to take effective and concrete steps for solving the problem of the province instead of making hollow promises.

Ameer, Jamaat eIslami,Pakistan, Syed Munawar Hasan, while addressing the Friday congregation at Mansoora mosque, said that unfortunately, the rulers considered military operation as panacea for all ills and had tried it time and again although it always had horrible results. Military action in East Pakistan ended up in the emergence of Bangladesh. He said, fifth military operation was going on in Balochistan due to which, the situation was getting worse day by day.

However, he said, the situation was not out of control as yet. In fact, the US had been working on its agenda in Balochistan since long as it wanted to split the area into Afghani, Iranian and Pakistani Balochistan, occupy its rich resources and also to use it for attacking Iran and Pakistan after its exit from Afghanistan. It was tragic that instead of striving to resolve the issue, the Pakistani rulers were advancing the US interests. The international media had revealed the US designs long time back but the rulers kept on sleeping with the result that the feelings of hatred in Balochistan people got deep. He said it was ridiculous that the government that had doled out Rs 380 million for Senate seats, should be content only to call APC on Balochistan. He deplored that the ministers and parliamentarians from Balochistan were also not worried about the Balochistan situation and were only interested in their perks.

Continuing, the JI Ameer said it was an irony that that the government which had given red carpet farewell to Pervez Musharraf, was now pasting summons on his door.

He said that Nawab Akbar Bugti's killing in a military operation was not the proper way to deal with the man as he should have been given an opportunity to clear his position regarding the allegations against him
