Egyptian Grand Mufti Negates Fatwa by Islamic Scholars
Calling for "Ji--d" against Israel due to its atrocities
in Gaza
April 8, 2025 - Egyptian Grand Mufti Nazir Ayyad, the
highest state sanctioned religious authority in Sisi's
Egypt, said in a statement that it was irresponsible for the
International Union of Muslim Scholars (IUMS) to issue a
fatwa that said that all "able Muslims" are under an
obligation to wage "jihad" against Israel due to its
atrocities in Gaza. (Middle East Eye, April 8, 2025)
That fatwa read, in part, "All Muslim countries are under a
legal duty "to intervene immediately militarily,
economically and politically to stop this genocide and
comprehensive destruction" and to impose a siege on
Israel.
"The failure of the Arab and Islamic governments to support
Gaza while it is being destroyed is considered by Islamic
law to be a major crime against our oppressed brothers in
Gaza," its secretary general, Ali al-Qaradaghi, said in a
decree issued on Friday.
Editorial comment: Given the unfettered genocide under way
in Gaza, the statement by the Egyptian Mufti shows the
depravity and the depths of munafiqat of Egypt's religious
authorities and government.

Muslim World League Head Urges Muslims Not to Focus on Gaza
April 8, 2025 - Muhammad bin Abdul Karim Issa, the head of
the Saudi-backed Muslim World League, urged Britons to focus
on domestic issues and not on Gaza. The Saudi, who was
formerly justice minister in Saudi Arabia, is based in
Britain. Further revealing his munafiqat, he urged the
British government to treat integration as a "national
security issue."
The statement drew the ire of many in Britain's Muslim
community in Britain, where support for Palestine and
against the genocide is broad.

White Nationalism and Zionism Rear Their Ugly Head in Texas:
This Time Wealthy Texas Muslims Are the Target
By Nadrat Siddique
April 1 - The East Plano Islamic Center (EPIC), located in
the Dallas (Texas) suburb of Plano, is under scrutiny by
state authorities. It is a sprawling complex, replete with a
grand dome, which glows blue at night. With its multiple
halls, gym, elaborate mimbar, and huge parking lots, it
brings to mind the Shah Faisal Mosque in Islamabad, or the
Diyanet Center in the DC outskirts. The neighborhoods
surrounding EPIC exude wealth. The mosque is led by a highly
conservative, pro-government imam, Yasir Qadhi.
Qadhi has repudiated Muslim resistance figures like Anwar
Awlaki, invited DHS agents to sessions of his Al-Maghrib
institute, and steered young Muslims angered at the mass
killings of Muslim innocents in Afghanistan and Iraq toward
the "jihad" of the pen. (New York Times, March 17, 2011) He
was one of the organizers and signatories of the "Letter to
Baghdadi." The letter condemned Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, who
fought the US military—but not the US military, which
murdered, by conservative estimate, 601,000 Iraqis. (Fair
Observer, November 24, 2015)
Under Qadhi's leadership, the EPIC Center, with its
tremendous wealth and influence, did little to nothing to
effect the release of Dr. Aafia Siddiqui. In June 2023,
Aafia's sister, Dr. Fowzia Siddiqui, a well-known
epileptologist and campaigner for her sister's freedom, was
finally allowed to visit the latter at FMC Carswell near
Dallas. Fowzia endured the long flight from Pakistan to
Texas, traumatized at the thought of meeting her sister, a
rape, torture, and abuse-survivor.
Only then did EPIC host a major forum on the Aafia Siddiqui
case—twenty years into Aafia's unjust incarceration.
At the forum, Qadhi, clearly disconnected from the case
despite having attended the University of Houston with
Aafia's brother, repeatedly misstated important facts of the
case.
It's quite clear that Qadhi has no problem with the U.S.
government and its policies. Why then is his mosque being
targeted? And targeted is putting it mildly. At least five
investigations of the EPIC Center are under way, the most
recent being announced on March 25.
The Texas governor, Greg Abbott, a vociferous and zealous
Zionist, seems threatened by any Muslim organization or
group which is monied and has influence, however
assimilationist or apolitical.
Qadhi and EPIC evidently had the means to purchase 402 acres
of land near the town of Josephine, 40 miles northeast of
Dallas. They had a well-developed plan to build a Muslim
conclave on the land, which they called EPIC City. The
central point of the development would be an opulent mosque.
Around this would be 1,000 new homes, a K-12 Islamic school,
senior housing, an outreach center, a shopping mall, sports
facilities, and a community college. (KERA News, April 2,
2025) In other words, a mini-Utopia for wealthy Muslims. And
Qadhi said as much: "We strongly feel that by coming
together and by living our faith in this great land, we are
exemplifying the American dream." (KERA News, March 25,
2025)
Unfortunately, a group of Zionist Jews, led by one Amy
Mekelburg, became perturbed by the prospect of a center of
Muslim wealth and power, however apolitical and
non-threatening.
Mekelburg posted: "WARNING! America is being Conquered from
Within! The Imam behind a Sharia City in Texas Calls on
Muslims to Conquer America from Within; Terror-tied Imam
Yasir Qadhi isn't hiding it--he's openly telling Muslims
they have a unique role in America to change (conquer) the
nation.."
On another occasion she tweeted: "Burqas don't belong in
Texas! Fleeing Sharia? Then act like it. Burqa-wearers
aren't escaping Islamic law. They're importing it. Yes to
Cowboy Hats. No to Sharia. Deport, Don't Normalize."
On yet another, she wrote: "Texas, I've uncovered a massive
jihadist indoctrination and radicalization group—tied
to Al-Qaeda, the Taliban, and other terror
networks—running their operations right out of your
state. They set up their headquarters on your soil, and no
one warned you. I'm not letting up."
A Mekelburg supporter, Riley Gaines posted to her X page:
"Sharia law is rooted in: pedophilia, total oppression of
women, honor killings, forced compliance." Abbott reposted
Gaines scurrilous, erroneous tweet, adding: "And Sharia law
is outlawed in Texas under a law I signed in 2017. Texas is
investigating EPIC City for many allegations, including
attempts to circumvent that law."
Mekelburg has 505,000 followers on X. The New York Jew heads
an organization called RAIR, or Rise Align Ignite Reclaim.
RAIR's webpage describes its mission as "informing the
citizenry of the daily assaults on freedom and fostering
grassroots leaders and activists in order to combat the
threats from Islamic supremacists, radical leftists, and
their allies." Evidently her multiple daily Islamophobic X
tweets filtered through to Governor Abbott, further fueling
his existing Islamophobia.
State Representative Jeff Leach (R-Plano), sent a letter to
Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton asking the latter to
investigate the EPIC City project. Leach worried it might
include "elements of Sharia Law" and would thus violate
state law.
Joseph Trahan, a senatorial candidate, reposted Amy
Mekelburg's Islamophobic X rants, prefacing them with:
"TEXAS: Illegal Alien Colonies. Islamic City States with
Sharia Law government and police. You know damn well it's as
illegal as can possibly be. Yet.. Governor Abbott sits
there, barely able to make another tax payer-funded TV
commercial to pretend he is doing something to protect.."
Thus Trahan challenged Abbott's seeming inaction against the
Muslims.
Now both Abbott and his AG, Paxton, are convinced that the
affluent Dallas area Muslims affiliated with the EPIC Center
are a threat to the US—when nothing could be further
from the truth.
On March 24, Governor Abbott tweeted on X: "The proposed
EPIC compound in Collin Co. has serious legal issues. A
dozen state agencies are investigating it, the Attorney
General will look into it, and legislators are considering
laws to restrict it, as well as laws to prevent foreign
adversaries from buying land in Texas."
Then, on March 25, Paxton tweeted: "BREAKING: Today I took
action as part of my ongoing investigation into a real
estate development tied to East Plano Islamic Center. Under
my watch, there will be zero tolerance for any person or
entity that breaks Texas law."
Local Judge Chris Hill also weighed in, reassuring his White
Nationalist constituents that he will not allow the
permitting of land for any "suspect" purposes: "I will not
vote to approve a project that violates Texas or federal
law, and I cannot support the proposed EPIC City project.
All Texas and federal laws will be followed in Collin County
[county where EPIC City would be built]."
Thus Abbott, Paxton, and others are fearful that Qadhi is
plotting to bring sharia to Texas, and ultimately to the
US—laughable, given the imam's track record.
In any event, as a result of this mis-placed hatred, EPIC
has been brought up on five charges: 1) potential criminal
violations; 2) claims of discrimination in violation of the
Texas Fair Housing Act; 2) potential financial harm to
investors; 3) potential violations of Texas consumer
protection laws; and 4) operating illegal funeral services.
(Kera News, March 31, 2025)
The last of these is particularly worthy of attention, as it
shows how little understanding Abbott and other xenophobes
have of Islamic tradition. They don't realize that janazas
are conducted by nearly every mosque worth its salt, with or
without a license. To do so, is a major function of a
mosque. But, Abbott, in his blind hatred of Islam,
interrupted a janaza at EPIC midway through! Shortly
thereafter, Qadhi halted all janazas at the mosque.
Sadly, as a result of Mekelburg, Gaines, and Abbott's social
media hate mongering, the mosque started receiving threats.
On April 3, EPIC officials issued a statement saying: "We
are proud Texans, Americans, and Muslims. We believe in the
US Constitution, the freedom of religion it protects, and
the laws of this land - and we follow them with sincerity
and care. We abide by state and federal laws and have
nothing to hide. Unfortunately, recent misinformation online
and at a public hearing has led to an increase in hate and
attacks on our community. We are regularly receiving hate
calls and death threats. Our mosque leaders' personal home
addresses have been shared, jeopardizing the safety of
families. Due to the hateful attacks and a cease and desist
order by the Texas Funeral Service Commission, we have
stopped funeral prayers for our loved ones.."
So, under threat by Texas Islamophobes, the mosque stopped
offering the most basic service, the janaza.
Particularly cynical is the fact that although the land
belongs to the Muslim community, no building had occurred,
and was not likely to occur for approximately the next ten
years, as permits had to be obtained from two different
Texas counties, which the 402 acres span, and the process of
obtaining permits, breaking ground, etc. is not trivial. So
it was that the Zionists were threatened by a non-existent
Islamic city, led by the most reactionary, US government
sycophants, which could not realistically come into
existence until approximately 2035.
Backstory
Governor Abbott's Connection to Israel
Following the October 7 attack, Governor Gregg Abbott
travelled to Israel along with Oklahoma Governor Kevin
Stitt, to express support for the colonial-settler regime.
He met with Israeli Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu,
promising Israel $4 million to protect synagogues and
schools. This was his third visit since being elected
governor in 2014. (Fox 26 News Houston, November 2,
2023).
Black is White and White is Black, Big Brother
Abbott's statement, issued after his November 2 visit,
illustrated a complete disconnect with reality. "Texas has
always, and will always, support Israel and the Israeli
people," said Governor Abbott. "The resolve of Israel's
leaders and the bravery of its people have never wavered in
the face of evil, and the people of Israel are once again
uniting to vigorously fight to defend their freedom. Texas
will continue to help support Israel safeguard their freedom
against brutal terrorist organizations like Hamas."
During the visit, Abbott shared a meal with the former head
of the IDF, Chief of the General Staff Lieutenant General
Aviv Kohavi. The IDF chief felt comfortable enough with
Abbott to discuss "strategies and impacts of retaliation
against terrorist organizations like Hamas and
Hezbollah."
Abbott also visited Israeli "survivors" of the October 7
attacks. He met with Israeli President Herzog, who spewed
the standard Zionist propaganda that the coalition of hate
(certain Arab nations and Iran) surrounding Israel also
threatens American national security. Governor Abbott
pledged to continue spreading this message to Texans and
Americans and increase awareness and understanding of the
realities behind the Israel-Hamas war.
Afterwards, Abbott and Stitt visited with "displaced"
Israelis housed at a hotel, and visited an Israeli hospital.
He did not visit any of the millions of displaced
Palestinians, Palestinian survivors of Israeli bombardment,
former Palestinian prisoners who had endured torture, or any
of the ill-equipped, frequently (even prior to October 7)
bombed Palestinian hospitals or refugee camps. (Source:
Governor Abbott's official website)
Abbott is a Familiar Face at the Israeli Consulate
In 2017, Abbott enacted anti-BDS legislation that bans Texas
agencies from doing business with companies that boycott
Israel. He also awarded $10 million in grants for synagogue
security. And he established the "Texas Holocaust, Genocide,
and Anti-Semitism Advisory Commission." Abbott was the
keynote speaker at Israel Independence Day celebration held
at the Israeli Consulate in Houston in 2018 and 2023.
Given all of this, it's very likely that Abbott is among the
many Zionists who espouse the idea that Palestinians are
human animals—and act accordingly.

ADL Behind Deportations
By Sis. 'Aisha Jamaat al-Muslimeen New York City
Muslim Illinois Congressman Abdelnasser Rashid accuses the
Anti-Defamation League (ADL) of playing a big role in the
recent student deportations.
The student deportations are a Zionist maneuver to
intimidate people into becoming silent about the Israeli
genocide against Palestinians. In the same way that the
Native American presence is a reminder of the genocide
carried out by White Americans, the Zionists know that
Palestinians are eyewitnesses to their savage and barbaric
nature and would rather deport them all, if possible.
In a recent text, Abdelnasser Rashid, a
Palestinian-American, has stated in his campaigns against
these deportations that the ADL has "collaborated with law
enforcement to surveil, profile, and target racial justice
and Palestinian rights activists - even progressive Jewish
groups."
The Congressman said that the ADL was responsible for
promoting Islamophobia policing, and trying to destroy
student protests under the guise of fighting hatred toward
Jews. During his congressional speech, Rep. Rashid stated
that the ADL sent a letter praising the Trump
Administration's "broad, bold actions." He also referred to
a 2024 Guardian newspaper article that revealed the ADL's
support of the oppressive South African Apartheid regime and
the ADL's hiring of Roy Bullock, an unscrupulous
investigator, who in 1993, allegedly:
Spied on the NAACP, ACLU, and Nancy Pelosi, for
instance.
Sold personal information about politicians and other
influential figures to the South African Apartheid
regime.
Kept data on the United Auto Workers' Union.
Rep. Rashid is running for re-election, and his text
requests donations to his political campaign in his
continued efforts to bring attention to these human rights
violations.
New York State Assemblyman Zohran Mamdani, an Indian-born
Ugandan, is running for Mayor of New York City. He is a
democratic socialist who has stated that he would arrest
Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu for genocide. Mamdani has
challenged fellow candidate Andrew Cuomo, who had joined
Netanyahu's legal defense team against war crime charges,
over his undying Zionist support. He would be the first
Muslim mayor of New York.
Mamdani is a distant second in the Democratic polls to
Cuomo.
More Muslims are viewing politics as a source of
empowerment. They do not understand the red tape and other
maneuvers, including smear campaigns, that will be used by
an overwhelmingly Zionist House of Representatives and City
Councils to impede their efforts to help their
communities.

from whatever direction the wind comes,
it bends it ...{!}
but...when the wind becomes quiet...
it becomes straight again {!}

Similarly, a believer is afflicted with calamities

The Requiem of Free Speech
By Nadrat Siddique
April 10 - In what appears to be a scene out of Kafka,
students from Columbia, Harvard, Yale, Stanford, and other
elite US universities are being seized and jailed without
warning or due process. Other universities which are not as
high profile are similarly affected. The manner in which it
is done is strikingly similar to what one might expect from
Stalin's Russia.
By mid-April, the Trump administration had revoked visas of
around 1,800 international students from 280 universities in
32 states. Why are they being seized? In most cases, their
arrests seem correlated with pro-Palestine words, thoughts,
and speech.
What are the pretexts for the visa revocations? In many of
the cases, a 1952 law is used. That law says, in part, "An
alien whose presence or activities in the United States the
Secretary of State has reasonable ground to believe would
have potentially serious adverse foreign policy consequences
for the United States is deportable."
In other cases, old, and usually minor charges like DUIs are
used. In all cases, it's clear that there is no infraction
by the student serious enough to warrant yanking a visa. All
the students were vetted and had to go through lengthy
procedures to ensure they were academically qualified to
come to the US, had adequate financial support to get them
through their course of study, and had no prior criminal
history or other "black marks" on their record, before
coming to the US.
It's deeply troubling to think that the US, which has
harshly criticized Iran, China, North Korea, and other
countries for the absence of free speech, is engaged in such
actions. In Venezuela and Cuba, the putative absence of free
speech is used to justify embargo, infiltration, and other
attempts to undermine the government. And now the US is
openly declaring that within its borders, free
speech—if it's pro-Palestine—is prohibited.
Why is the Government Threatened by the Pro-Palestine
Student Movement?
The arrests of the students, particularly some of the
leaders, shows the effectiveness of the student movement at
garnering support for the Palestinian cause. American youth
have been flocking to the Palestinian side like never
before. Many are also converting to Islam. The Palestinian
and Palestinian-American organizers have been able to
communicate with American youth (and with the American
public in general) in a way which eluded the previous Arab
and Muslim generations. Palestinian and Palestinian-American
youth have revamped pro-Palestine slogans to make them
catchier, sometimes using drums, hip-hop, and politically
conscious rap to get their point across. They know how to
use social media to reach huge numbers of their peers,
particularly on platforms like Instagram, X, TikTok,
Threads, and others, allowing them to circumvent the control
of the omnipresent corporate media which voices only the
Zionist narrative. The youth are well-versed in the
preparation of attractive slides on Instagram, in making
documentaries or mini-series, in doing live broadcasts on
Facebook, Instagram, or X, at very low cost, casting off the
previous control by a Zionist-dominated Hollywood.
Today's Palestinian student leaders did something else which
their elders may have overlooked: They followed the money
trail. And it led directly to the campuses, where gargantuan
weapons manufacturers have multi-million-dollar contracts
with university engineering, computer science and other
departments. The contracts are ostensibly to do research, a
seemingly innocuous proposition. But the research is then
used to support the Israeli military.
So, the leaders of the pro-Palestine movement called for
campus-wide divestment from such companies. This almost
certainly touched a nerve, since research leading to the
development of weapons, and weapons manufacturers are
pervasive on university campuses. And they cannot tolerate
the loss of billions of dollars of revenue, which can occur
if the student movement persists and is effective.
The broader implications for society are there: If weapons
manufacturers "suffer," all those who have invested into
them will experience financial losses. The Palestinian
students' challenge to weapons manufacturers has raised the
ire of anyone who holds "securities" (i.e. stocks and bonds)
in these companies. The norm is for stockholders to make
massive profits from the "research" and exploits of
companies like Lockheed Martin, Martin Marietta, Northrup
Gruman, Maersk, Intel, and others, no matter the cost to
Palestinian lives. With the students demanding their
universities expel such companies from campuses, the entire
system is shaken to the core. And the students may lose
their diplomas, careers, or even their freedom. But to them,
all that matters is they have taken a firm stance for the
liberation of their people and are on the right side of
history.
