Why I could not Celebrate Pakistan Day
by Dr. Kaukab Siddique
I cannot think of Pakistan without Iqbal, Jinnah and Maudoodi.
I still love their role In history and I strongly detest
Hindus and Zionists who attack them.
But this year I could not celebrate Pakistan Day on August
14.
For me Pakistan includes what is now called Bangladesh.and
Kashmir is a natural part of Pakistan.
Pakistan is the only country created In the name of Islam
and Maudoodi made it clear that there cannot be a Pakistan
without Islam. Owing to his efforts, Islam is an essential
part of the Constitution of Pakistan. Even hard core
westernized Islam haters cannot start a campaign against
Islam.
But Pakistani generals and politicians have committed
treachery against Islam. The generals crushed East Pakistan
and committed unthinkable atrocities against the Bengali
Muslims. Then the Generals completed the stab-in-the-back by
surrendering to the Hindu army of India which has never
happened in Muslim history.
Even worse, they abandoned the Islamic fighters who wanted
to stay as Pakistanis.
Pakistani generals and politicians have stopped trying to
liberate Kashmiri. Kashmir has become a vast Indian army
garrison. The Indian army even gets away with rape, murder
and home demolitions. India is replacing the Muslim
population with Hindus.
The large, heavily armed, well fed Pakistan Army focuses on
suppressing Islamic groups In northern frontier to please
America and Europe which sees them as a threat. Islamic
groups are soft targets easy to attack by a modern army.
On August 14, our anniversary, the India backed regime in
Dhaka did something to the most popular Islamic preacher in
Bangladesh, Delaware Hussain Syedi, so that he died in
prison.
Huge crowds of Bengali Muslims came out for the funeral and
to protest the suspected murder.
The agony and suffering of the Bengali Muslims is evident,
they are openly calling for reuniting with Pakistan but they
are unarmed and they cannot overthrow the pro-India
regime.
Again Pakistan is silent.
The Pakistani regime is busy making sure that Imran Khan is
not allowed to speak.

Aafia Siddiqui and Pakistani Celebrations
Today is Pakistan Independence Day. Independence means
freedom from physical and mental chains. But, an innocent
Pakistani mother, a teacher with brilliant ideas for the
Pakistani education system, is in chains right now.Dr. Aafia
Siddiqui is held at FMC Carswell. It is one of the worst
U.S. prisons. During the pandemic, it had the second highest
rate of COVID-19 infection of all U.S. federal prisons.FMC
Carswell is also the subject of law suits and a federal
inquiry because there have been so many rapes and assaults
of inmates by prison guards. Most governments work hard to
free their citizens when they are held by a foreign
government. Iran just freed several Americans in a deal with
the US government.Aafia has already been detained by the
U.S. for 20 long years. And- she will remain at FMC Carswell
until June 2082 unless the government of Pakistan acts.Dil
dil Pakistan. Jaan jaan Pakistan. Pakistan please bring our
daughter Aafia Siddiqui home.

Pakistan
With Imran Khan in Prison, what next?
by Dr. Firoz Kamal
The former Prime Minister and the most popular leader of
Pakistan is now arrested and has been put behind the bar in
a notorious prison cell in Attock. A district court judge
of Islamabad found him guilty in a Tosha Khana case and gave
him 3 years' imprisonment and five years disqualification
from politics. Mr. Imran Khan bought a wrist watch from the
treasury called Tosha Khan -which he received as a gift
while visiting a foreign country. It was alleged that he
sold the gift to a buyer. Imran Khan told the court that he
has committed no crime as he bought the watch as per the
Tosha Khana rule and sold it as his own purchased property.
Even a judge of Islamabad court found the case ingenuine to
pursue and dismissed it from the proceedings. But the case
was resurrected by another district judge only to use it as
a tool to punish Imran Khan.
Now General Asif Muneer -the Chief of Pakistan Army and his
cronies find enough reasons to celebrate the judgement. The
judgement helped General Asif to put Imran Khan out of
politics. The previous two assassination attempts on Imran
Khan's life failed. Imran Khan blamed the Army generals and
the ruling elites for the murderous attempt. Now he has no
chance to escape any future attempt.
Moreover, the generals have their ideological cousins like
Abdel Fatah Sisi of Egypt to share his experience in
annihilating political opponents. Dr. Mohammad Morsi, the
first elected President of Egypt had to die an engineered
death in prison. General Asif may take the same formula for
Imran Khan.
It is worth noting that even the Chief Justice of Pakistan's
Supreme Court is helpless to implement his judicial verdict.
Recently the Chief Justice and his bench could not execute
their ruling for holding a provincial election in the
province of Punjab in 90 days. Because, the judgement stood
against the agenda of the country's occupying military
rulers. So, the Supreme Court's ruling survives only in
papers. The government executives backed by the Army showed
their utter defiance against the Supreme Court verdict.
Therefore, they didn't face any punishment for such ugly
contempt of the court. Does such contempt of the highest
judiciary of the country ever happen in a civilised
country?
By law, all state executives are duty bound to implement the
court ruling. Any defiance is a punishable crime. If the
executive branch does not comply
With the whole judiciary failing the rule of law then
disappears. The state then becomes a jungle. Exactly that
has happened in Pakistan. As a result, police can kill
anybody without fear of prosecution -as happened in the
jungle. After the incident on 9 May, more than 20 people
were killed. But not a single killer was brought to face
justice. More than 10 thousands workers of Imran Khan's
Tehreek-i-Insaf party are now in jail without any trial. In
Pakistan, the judiciary itself stands hostage to the
military mafias. It is in a state of constant abuse to
punish the political opponents of the ruling elites. Judges
are compelled to follow only the dictates of the armed
forces and not the law. Imran Khan's conviction clearly
proves that. Therefore, while the Supreme Court fails to
execute its order, a petty district judge of Islamabad
succeeds. He could arrest the most popular leader of
Pakistan in minutes. The question arises, if buying gifts
from Tosha Khan is a crime, then why are Nawaz Sharif, Asif
Zardari, Mariam Nawaz and many others not punished for the
same crime? Nawaz Sharif, Mariam Nawaz and Asif Zardari took
costly bullet-proof BMW and Mercedes cars from Toshakhana.
Since they are the coalition partners of the ruling military
mafia - they do not face any prosecution. Even General Bajwa
and many generals took many foreign gifts. But they do not
face any prosecution either. So the judiciary in Pakistan is
very selective. It is used as a tool to punish
opponents.
Those who have power, are they are above the law?
Jamaate Islami Seriously concerned about the Masses
LAHORE: August 16: Jamaat-e-Islami Emir Sirajul Haq has
announced country-wide protest on coming Friday against
recent price hike in petroleum products. In a statement
issued from Mansoorah on Wednesday, Haq not only condemned
increase in price but also asked caretaker Prime Minister
Anwarul Haq Kakar to take the decision back. "There has been
no cabinet yet, but the killing decision has been taken at
the direction of the IMF."The JI leader said the nation just
celebrated 76th Independence Day and the very next date,
when even the cabinet has not yet been sworn in, the
caretaker government has announced massive price hike in all
petroleum products, sending multiplier waves through the
economy. The Jamaat-e-Islami, he said, was expecting the
caretakers would provide some relief to the inflation-hit
masses rather they endorsed the policies of the
predecessors. He said over half of the country's population
lives below poverty line, having no access to even basis
needs of life. The two percent ruling elite on the other
side, he added, captured the wealth and resources of the 98
percent population. There was need to undo injustice,
cruelty and unfair distribution of resources, he said,
adding the only way to achieve these objectives was a
peaceful democratic struggle. People, he said, must vote for
honest and dedicated leadership to bring about real
change.Haq demanded reversal of petrol price hike, rejecting
the raise. "The Jamaat-e-Islami invites the entire nation to
come out and join hands with it coming Friday to protest
against this decision. The JI would take out protest rallies
on all district headquarters in the country against
atrocious act by the government," he warned.Haq also
condemned violence in Jaranwala and demanded transparent
inquiry into the incidents. He said no one should be allowed
to take law into hands. He said

Resistance
On Saturday afternoon, two Israeli men were shot and killed,
while they were at a car wash facility, by unknown gunman
who fled the scene, in the northern West Bank town of
Huwara, south of Nablus.
Media sources said that unknown assailant opened fire,
critically injuring an Israeli man and his son, while
resuscitation efforts, provided by the Israeli Magen David
Adom ambulance service, were unsuccessful.
The two men, identified as Shay Silas Nigreker, 60, and his
son Aviad Nir, 28, were pronounced dead at the scene. They
were residents of Ashdod, south of Tel Aviv, in the southern
part of Israel.
According to the Hebrew site "Walla" an Israeli security
official stated, "The shooting was very accurate, and it is
not clear whether the perpetrator got out of the car and
fired or shot from a speeding car."
In contrast, the Hebrew newspaper, Y Net News, stated that,
"The perpetrator of the Huwara operation fired five bullets
from zero distance, before withdrawing from the place on
foot."

Muslims in India Wanted Pakistan
Imam Ali Siddiqui
We were in India. We loved Pakistan. It was on August 14,
1947 Pakistan became a nation, one day ahead of Bharat aka
India. It was a beautiful day.
Although, I was about 4 years old, I remembered it well. I
took a piece of fabric from my aunt's old shalwar to make
the Pakistani Flag. It was not much. For me it represented
Pakistani flag and I put it on a small tree branch and ran
around in my Nana's huge courtyard chanting: "Pakistan
Zindanad, Pakistan bana -en-ge." It was all before Pakistan
came into being during the struggle for Pakistan.
I was hearing it all from my elders in our hometown,
Moradabad and in our masjid during Jummah. I will tell all
to my aunts who will hear it very attentively. Then I saw my
elder brother was missing and so is my elder sister and one
of my aunts. When I didn't see them for few days, I asked my
Ammi about them. She told me that they have gone to
Pakistan. It made me sad and I told my
mother that I wanted to go to Pakistan, too. My mother
promised me that we would go, too, after we hear from my
elder brother.
My father used to travel a lot for work in
India . He was an
horticulturalist visiting Fruit Gardens to check fruits'
health. He may be gone for days but he used
to send a basket of fruits to let us know
he is well. When I didn't see him day after day, I asked my
mother about him. She informed my elder sister and I that
our father was also in Pakistan, now. Both of us started
crying. My mother reassured us not to cry and that all of us
would move to Pakistan once
our father find a job and place to live. I went back to my
last resort, took my flag, and chanted.
As Salaamu Alaikum, Greetings of Peace.
Was Salaamu Alaikum, With Peace.

The Struggle of Muslim women
By Dr. Kaukab Siddique
Foreword by Imam Ali Siddiqui
Muslim women , from Morocco to the Philippines, from
Yugoslavia to Nigeria, in India and In America, are facing
attacks on two fronts. Forces alien to Islam are telling
women that Islam is the source of their degradation,
exploitation and humiliation. From within the Muslim world,
Muslim women are facing an ideological offensive by the
self-appointed custodians of religion, who claim that if
women want to remain Muslims, they must accept what has
historically come to be known as Islam: seclusion, the face
veil and protected status.
This book delves into the original, authentic teachings of
Islam to show that Islam wants to shape human society in a
way which is entirely different not only frome the schemes
of anti-Islamic forces but also from that envisaged by the
upholders of established religion.
Fully documented from the Qur'an and the hadith, this book
contains a revolutionary message for the Muslim woman of
today and tomorrow.
The writings of seven women active in the Islamic movement
have been included to enhance understanding of the issues.

College is Not the Way to Prosperity...Anymore
On a recent episode of "Black Men Screaming," which can be
seen on the Manhattan Network Cable channel, University of
San Francisco's Professor James Lance Taylor mentioned that
the Republicans' effort to prevent student loan debt
forgiveness was rooted in racism because the majority of
those in debt are of African descent. There are so many
people in student loan debt. Whether you are a college
graduate or not, if you received a student loan, you have
debt. For many people, this debt has increased over time
long after they left college because of the interest (riba).
In the 1980s/90s, shows such as "A Different World" and
movies such as "School Daze" inspired a lot of Black
students to consider attending college, particularly
historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs). Of
course, those of us who went to predominantly black public
high schools, with a predominantly white staff, were
discouraged from attending HBCUs. They were all "party
schools." We were told that Ivy League schools gave you
more clout as a job-seeking candidate.I now know that these
were lies.As a college graduate, I realized the following
painful truths:
- College is a business.- College graduates DO NOT graduate
with any actionable skills.- College degrees DO NOT
guarantee a job.- Superiority complexes are promoted over
practicality. - College is not for those who are UNSURE of
their career goals.Four years is too long to spend in
college. The goal of colleges is to make money. They have
created ways to force students to stay longer than needed in
order to make the most money off of them. Requiring
electives is one such maneuver that is completely
unnecessary.Books, such as "What Color is Your Parachute"
have addressed the difficulty many people have had finding
work. It stressed that people get jobs based on who they
know, not what they know. Now, artificial intelligence
(AI) has entered the job search application process making
it even more difficult to find a job. Known as the applicant
tracking system (ATS), robot software scans resumes and
cover letters rejecting the ones lacking the right keywords.
Have you ever submitted your resume to an employer who never
responded to you? Blame the ATS. Racism,
government-imposed economic downturns, and job search
criteria affect American job seekers, negatively. Degrees do
not help anyone gain an advantage in these
circumstances.Vocational schools (formerly known as trade
schools) are not spoken of with the same reverence as a
four-year college. However, vocational schools provide
students the skills that can be used either for employment
or their own business start-up. Plus, vocational schools
cost much less than college.
Plumbers, electricians, and website developers are just some
of the lucrative careers vocational school graduates enjoy.
There are other more viable options than college for living
a productive life.
