One of the people who influenced me.
Ramsey Clark, Great Friend of Muslims.
by Kaukab Siddique,PhD
We called him Ramsey. He passed away at the age of 93. At
one time he was attorney general of the USA but later turned
all out against the policies of the United States.
I visited him at his humble abode in New York and met him
during all the great protest rallies in Washington which I
used to attend with zeal which could not match his
vigor.
Among all our meetings, one really stands out. He came to
our Jamaat al-Muslimeen's international conference in
Baltimore. He came quietly by train and left quietly but
every word he spoke was worth thinking about. [The
conference became the target of Zionist propaganda.]
A central point of my interest in Ramsey was owing to his
defense of the Blind Shaykh, Dr. Omar Abdel Rahman, which he
consistently did along with the famous Lynn Stewart. It was
a difficult cause and the government in tandem with the
Egyptian tyrant would not let him go. Ramsey was always
there for him.
At the end of the life of the Blind Shaykh, isolated and
helpless, Ramsey was his only visitor. He was also,
probably, the last to see him before he died.
People often forget or want to forget that Ramsey was in the
court which was "trying" Saddam Hussain. I defended Saddam
in the public domain but Ramsey was in the court with him.
Try to think of the days when Saddam was the target of the
biggest propaganda campaign launched globally by Israel and
its western allies. Most Muslims dared not say a word for
him. Ramsey knew the law and he could see that the "trial"
of Saddam was a travesty.
When he started receiving too many phone calls and was too
exhausted to deal with all of them, his loyal wife stood by
him and was a pillar of strength for him. A separate book
should be written about her.
He was against the American aggression against Cuba. He was
against the mistreatment of the Black community which is so
common in America. There was hardly an injustice which he
did not oppose.
Does Allah have a special place for Ramsey who outdid the
Muslims in the way of justice? He could have just relaxed
and enjoyed a peaceful retirement.

Pakistani Counsular
Deception
[See sorrowful obituary of her mother in right
hand column.]
We have received a report that the Pakistani Counsular
office in Houston, Texas, withheld Aafia's mail. He was
supposed to pass it on to Pakstan's Foreign Office to give
it to Aafia's motherr. Thus the mother never knew that her
daughter was reaching out to her. Pakistani officialdom
seems to be full of treachery.
Could be that the mother died of despair about Aafia's
life.

Pakistan's Plight.

Peshawar: July 02: Jamaat-e-Islami Emir Sirajul Haq has said
the "establishment" has developed a cartel with feudal lords
and corrupt imperialists and the three are responsible for
the entire damage done to the country in decades as we can
see in the plight of the masses.
Addressing Peshawar High Court Bar Association on Saturday,
he appealed to the legal fraternity to play their role to
establish rule of law and help the poor to get their rights
from the rulers who had kept the masses deprived since for
seven decades.
"You [Lawyers] people are leading the intelligentsia, having
history of running movements against dictators. You are not
afraid of anyone in the country where common msn feels so
helpless even to raise voice for his basic rights. I request
you now to take strong stand against the injustice, poverty,
inflation and corruption plaguing the country," he said,
holding responsible all the governments for the
destruction.
"Martial laws destroyed 35 years of Pakistan and remaining
35 years had been misused by the so-called democratic
parties who are instead clubs of families. Mafias fund the
big political parties and after coming into power they took
take back their investment with huge profit."
Pakistan, he said, was full of resources but the two percent
rulers had captured the 99 percent of country's wealth,
depriving the masses even from basic education and health
facilities. Even more than half of country's population
lacked access to clean drinking water facility, he said.
The PTI brought no change in three and half years and now
the PDM and the PPP's unity government failed to deliver, he
said. These ruling parties, he added, were fighting for
their self-interests, having nothing to do with the problems
of common man.
People, he said, were starving to death due to inflation,
the youth were frustrated because of unemployment, adding a
white collar man could not afford one liter of petrol for
bike to drop his children to school. "This is Pakistan they
(ruling parties) gave us after 75 years of
independence."
Running economy on foreign loans was not a solution to
Pakistan's problems, he said, adding how long the country
will keep dependence on the IMF?
"It is our country but the IMF dictates us," he said, adding
the time had come the educated people raise voice against
the family parties and their backers who were running the
affairs of the country.
The JI, he said, wanted to establish rule of law and it was
making struggle against the corrupt system. "Let us forget
our minor differences and make joint efforts to transform
Pakistan into welfare Islamic state."

"Stalin's War: A New History of World War II"
May 7, 2022, 3:09 p.m. | by John Wear
Sean McMeekin is a professor of history at Bard College in
upstate New York. Stalin's War: A New History of World War
II is McMeekin's latest book that focuses on Josef Stalin's
involvement in World War II.
This well-researched and well-written book uses new research
in Soviet, European and American archives to prove that
World War II was a war that Stalin had wanted—not
Adolf Hitler.
A remarkable feature of Stalin's War is McMeekin's
documentation showing the extensive aid given by the United
States and Great Britain to support Soviet Communism during
the war.
This article focuses on the lend-lease and other aid given
to the Soviet Union during World War II which enabled Stalin
to conquer most of Eurasia, from Berlin to Beijing, for

Good khutba. Imam, an Arab brother spoke against nit picking
from the Qur'an. Many Muslims
pick up the. outer aspects of religion. The serious aspects,
they find boring. Coming to what is going on in the world,
Muslims fail.
How do we treat parents and children, he asked. He really
laid it on with great emphasis. May Allah bless him.
As the people were leaving, a Jamaat al-Muslimeen document,
6 pages selected from New Trend magazine, were given to 40

Indian Americans commend Rep. Ilhan Omar for introducing
House resolution to condemn persecution of Muslims in
India
Washington, DC (June 23, 2022) - The Indian American Muslim
Council (IAMC) today commended Representative Ilhan Omar
(D-MN) for the introducing of House resolution 1196, which
condemns India for egregious violations of human rights and
religious freedom.inand
Co-sponsored by lawmakers Rashida Talib and Juan Vargas, the
resolution urges the State Department to act on the
recommendations of US Commission on International Religious
Freedom (USCIRF), and designate India as a Country of
Particular Concern (CPC) under the International Religious
Freedom Act.
In its 2022 Annual Report, USCIRF recommended India to be
designated as a CPC for the systematic, ongoing, egregious
violations of religious freedom for the third consecutive
year.
The resolution, which relies heavily on USCIRF's 2022 Annual
Report and Department of State's 2021 Annual Report on
International Religious Freedom calls on the House of
Representatives to condemn, "human rights violations and
violations of international religious freedom in India,
including those targeting Muslims, Christians, Sikhs,
Dalits, Adivasis, and other religious and cultural
minorities.
It also calls on the House to express, "grave concern about
the worsening treatment of religious minorities in
India."
"It is indeed sad to see the country that we love and adore,
discriminate and criminalize its most vulnerable citizens
and head down the path of bigotry, intolerance and
authoritarianism," said Syed Afzal Ali, President of
IAMC.
"We are grateful to the congresswoman Ilhan Omar who
introduced this resolution and urge other members of
congress to support it to ensure that the human rights and
religious freedom of all, including Christians and Muslims
in India are respected, and protected," Afzal Ali added.
IAMC also lauded Congressman Jim McGovern (MA),
Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib (MI), and Congressman Juan
Vargas (CA) for co-sponsoring the resolution and sending a
clear message to the Indian government that US won't stay a
mute spectator to the persecution of country's 200 million
Muslims.

'There are no days in which righteous deeds are more beloved

PROPHET (Sal Allaahu'Alayhi wa Sallam) replied...

and came back with nothing.'

used to fast on the ninth [9th] day of Dhul-Hijjah
and he said...

(all the sins of ) the previous year and an expiation
for(all the sins of) the coming year{!}'

#2/~ Do a LOT of 'Dhikr' and 'Takbeer'...
The Prophet (Sal Allahu 'Alayhi wa Sallam) said...
'There are no days on which good deeds are
greater or more beloved to Allah
than on these Ten days, so recite...
'Tahleel'~ {La Ilaha ill Allah}
'Takbeer' ~ {Allahu Akbar}
and ,
'Tahmeed' ~ {Alhamdu Lillah.}'
{ Source~ Ahmad ~Saheeh }
'Takbeer' at this time is a 'Sunnah' that has mostly been
forgotten,
especially during the first few days. So say it in the
'Masjid',
in your home, on the street and every place where it is
permitted
to remember Allah {Azza wa Jall}
Revive the 'Sunnah' that has been virtually forgotten and
earn
great rewards for doing so.
The Prophet (Sal Allaahu 'Alayhi wa Sallam) said...
Whoever revives an aspect of my 'Sunnah'
that is forgotten after my death,
he will have a reward equivalent to that of the
people who follow him, without it detracting in the least
from their reward' !

{Note: men should recite these phrases out loud...
and women should recite them softly}
#3/~ Stand in Night Prayers:
Remember the virtues of spending the night in
prayer, and its sweetness in 'Ramadan'{?}
Why not revive this beautiful act of worship during these
nights as well ?!
Remember, how in the last third of every night,
Allah Almighty calls out to us, HIS servants...
' Is there anyone to invoke ME, so that
I may respond to his invocation ?
Is there anyone to ask ME,
so that I may grant him his request ?
Is there anyone seeking MY forgiveness,
so that I may forgive him... ?'
{'Alhamdullilah'}
{Sources ~ Bukhari and Muslim}
#4/~ Make Sincere Repentance {!}
One of the best and most important things to do
during these Ten days is to
repent sincerely to Allah and to give up all kinds of
disobedience and sin right away because
we do not know when we will die {!}
and also because one evil deed leads to another.
But, what exactly does 'Repentance' mean...?
It means that you come back to Allah and give up
all the deeds, open and secret,
that HE dislikes & that you regret
whatever you did in the past,
giving it up immediately and be determined
never ever to return to it,
and resolve to adhere firmly to the Truth
by doing whatever Allah loves~
{'In Shaa Allah' ~'Aameen'~}
'But as for him who repented, believed and did righteous
deeds, then he will be among those
who are successful.'
{ Source 'Qur'an'~Surat ~Al-Qasas 28: A #67 }
#5/~ Return to the *Qur'an*
It is time now to dust off your copy of the
'Qur'an' and return to its refuge...
Try and make it a daily habit, using these 10 days
for the beginning of a strong and beautiful
relationship with it .
A Little Note:
Reading Surat Al-Fatiha, which doesn't take more
than two minutes will give you more than one thousand
rewards .
This is on ordinary days, so what about these magnificent
days !
Certainly the reward will be far greater...{!}
{'In Shaa Allaah'}
#6/~ Generally Increase in doing ALL good deeds.
We should strive in doing more good deeds in general,
because good deeds are beloved by Allah and will bring us
closer to HIM.
So if we are not able to go to 'Hajj' this year,
we should occupy ourselves during these blessed
days by worshiping Allah, praying extra prayers,
reading Qur'an, remembering Allah ,
sending 'Salaams' on the Prophet
(Sal Allaahu 'Alayhi wa Sallam)~
making Dua,
giving charity,
honoring our parents,
upholding ties of kinship,
enjoining what is good and forbidding what is evil,
and other good deeds and acts of worship.
#7/~ Get the Reward of 'Hajj' wherever you are !
You may be unable to do 'Hajj' this year, and you
may feel sad because you are deprived of the great
reward of 'Hajj'.
But you can achieve a similar reward wherever you may
be...
The Prophet (Sal Allaahu 'Alayhi wa Sallam) said..
'Whoever prays 'Fajr' Prayer in congregation,
and then sits and remembers Allah until the sun
rises, then after a while prays two
(2) Rakats, he will gain
a reward equal to that of making perfect 'Hajj'/'Umrah'.
{he repeated the word Perfect three {3} times}
{ Source.~At-Tirmidhi }
#8/~ Slaughter an Animal and distribute the meat.
~Ibn Umar{ Allah be pleased with him } said...
The Prophet (Sal Allaahu 'Alayhi wa Sallam)
lived in Medina for 10 years and
every year he slaughtered an animal .
{Source ~Ahmad-}
#9/~ Attend The 'Eid' Prayers.
But remember that Eid prayer is a form of
worship and we should not be doing things
that are un Islamic (especially) during these times,
women going out for prayers without
proper 'Hijab'{!}
mixing of men and women, etc. etc. etc.
#10/~ Gratitude to Allah {Azza wa Jall}
One of the biggest forms of worshiping
Allah [Subhanahu wa Ta'ala] is to thank HIM,
deeply, sincerely and continuously...
[After all, it is HE who gave you every single thing that is
in you,
on you or around you.]
In fact, you wouldn't even be here
if it wasn't for the Mercy of your Creator !
{'SUBHAN ALLAH'}
So thank HIM for Everything that HE gave you,
the Islam that HE gave you,
the very Life HE gave you.
and thank HIM for the chance that HE gives
you in these Ten[10] days, to ask for forgiveness and
guidance.
'Alhamdulillah'~ there is much to be gained in these coming
days.
so make the most of this perfect
opportunity offered by these invaluable and
irreplaceable ten [10] days... !
Hasten to do good deeds and appreciate this
blessing and make the most of it {!}
'And worship your Lord until there comes
unto you the certainty...{Death}'.

~ My 'Salaams' to all ~
... Y a s m i n ...
'Say, 'Indeed, my Prayer, my Rites of Sacrifice,
my Living and my Dying are for ALLAH, Lord of the
Worlds'.
{'Qur'an'~Surat Al-'An'am -# 6-162.}
Eid al-Adha is also a very joyous day like Eid al-Fitr. It
is the celebration of self-sacrifice, commitment, and
obedience to Allah. It is celebrated on the tenth day of
Dhul Hijjah, the 12th and the last month of the Islamic
calendar.
It commemorates the great act of obedience to Allah by the
Prophet Ibrahim (as) and his second wife, Hazrat Hajerah
(as), in showing their willingness to sacrifice their son
Ismael (as). Allah accepted their sacrifice and replaced
Prophet Ismael (as) with a lamb.
Although Hajj has no relation with the Eid-al-Adha, the five
days long rituals of Hajj are also done during this month
culminating on 9th of Zulhijjah.
Many rituals of Hajj are enactment of the struggle of Hazrat
Hajirah (as) and her son Prophet Ismael (as).
Qurbani/Sacrifice
Those who have enough wealth to pay Zakat must also offer
the sacrifice for Allah on these days. It is the tradition
of Prophet Ibrahim (as) and a strongly recommended
Sunnah.
A lamb, sheep, goat, or a share in cow, buffalo, and a
camel, can be offered as the Qurbani, sacrifice. There are
seven shares in a cow, buffalo and camel. The sacrifice
should be accomplished by slaughtering the animal after
Salaat-al-Eid.
The sacrifice, also called Udhiyah or Qurbani, lasts for
three days from 10th Zulhijjah until the sunset of 12th
Zulhijjah.
The meat should be divided into three shares: one for the
family, the second for relatives and friends, and the third
share is for the poor and the needy.
THE SUNNAH OF EID:
Wake up early.
Offer Salatul Fajr.
Prepare for personal cleanliness, take care of details of
clothing, etc.
Take a Ghusl (bath) after Fajr.
Brush your teeth.
Dress up, put on the best clothes available, whether new or
cleaned old ones.
Use perfume (men only).
On Eid-al-Adha, continue to Fast until after Salaat or after
Qurbani, sacrifice, if you are offering a sacrifice.
Go to the prayer ground early.
Offer Salaat-al-Eid in a congregation, in an open place
except when weather is not permitting like rain, snow,
etc.
Use two separate routes to and from the prayer ground.
It is the commandment of the Prophet of Allah (saw) that
Believing Women should participate in the Salaatul Eid:
'Umm Atiyah (ra) reported: 'The Messenger of Allah (saw)
commanded us to bring out the young women, the
hijab-observing adult women, and the menstruating women, on
the Eid-al- Fitr and the Eid-al-Adha. The menstruating women
stayed out of actual Salaat but participated in good deeds
and Duaa (supplication)'.
'I (Umm Atiyah) said to the Holy Prophet (saw): 'O!
Messenger of Allah, if one does not have an outer garment.'
He replied: "Let her sister cover her with her garment."
(Hadith, narrated in Muslim)
On the Eid day, every believing man, woman and child must go
to the prayer ground and participate in this joyous
occasion.
Takbirat
On Eid-al-Adha, recite the following Takbir on the way to
and Salaat and until the beginning of Salaat:
"Allaho-Akber, Allaho-Akber. La ila-ha ill-lal-lah.
Allaho-Akber, Allaho-Akber. Wa-lilahill hamd. (Allah is
greater. Allah is greater. There is no god but Allah. Allah
is greater. Allah is greater. And all praises are for
Allah)".
Use two separate routes to and from the prayer ground and
continue to recite Takbirat.
Takbirat on Eid-al-Adha starts from Mughrib, on the 9th
Zulhijjah, after every Salaat, and it lasts until Asr on the
12th Zulhijjah.
Palestinian Women in Israeli Prisons. Latest Death.
RAMALLAH, Saturday, July 2, 2022 (WAFA) - Saadia Farajallah,
68, died this morning of yet unknown reasons in the Israeli
prison of Damon, the Palestinian Prisoner's Society (PPS)
said in a statement, as Prime Minister Mohammad Shtayyeh and
the Foreign Ministry held the Israeli government, in two
separate statements, responsible for her death.
Farajallah, a mother of eight from the town of Idna in the
south of the West Bank, was detained by the Israeli
occupation forces in December while she was near the
Ibrahimi Mosque in the southern West Bank city of Hebron,
and has been in detention since then.
The circumstances behind her death remain unknown until this
moment, the PPS said, adding that a state of outrage among
the fellow Palestinian detainees dominated the prisons
following the news about her death and the prisoners
embarked on knocking on the doors of their cells to express
their anger.
Farajallah is believed to be the 230th Palestinian to die
while in Israeli imprisonment or detention. She was one of
29 female Palestinian political prisoners incarcerated in
the Israeli prison of Damon, near Haifa.
The oldest serving of the 29 female Palestinian prisoners in
Damon is Maison Musa, from Bethlehem, who has been in prison
since 2015 and is serving a 15-year sentence.
Reacting to the death of Farajallah, Prime Minister Mohammad
Shtayyeh held the Israeli occupation authorities fully
responsible for her death.
He called on the international human rights committees to
open an investigation into the circumstances of her death
and to press the occupation authorities to release all the
female and sick prisoners.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates has also
held the Israeli government responsible for her death and
called for an international investigation into her
death.
It also called on international organizations, such as the
Red Cross, to shoulder their responsibilities toward the
thousands of Palestinian freedom fighters incarcerated in
Israel, particularly the medical negligence in the
prisons.
The PPS later said that preliminary reports indicate that
Farajallah was taken to Damon clinic after she lost
consciousness before she was later pronounced dead.
It said that Farajallah, the oldest among the woman
prisoners, was brought to a military court on Tuesday in a
wheelchair and that her lawyer has asked that a doctor check
her because she was diabetic and had high blood pressure but
that the court did not give a ruling on this matter
prompting the PPS to claim that she died of medical
negligence.

Ismat Siddiqui went back to her Creator. We come from Allah

We were able to watch her funeral, burial and du'a in

We share the sorrow of her family. For years she pined away,
hoping for her daughter's release
from US prison in Fort Worth, Texas.
Nadrat Siddique who constantly protests against Aafia's
imprisonment wrote:
Dr. Aafia Siddiqui's mother, Ismat, passed away without ever

Horrifying Suffering of a Bangladeshi American in US Prison
Shifa Sadequee
Shifa Sadequee was born in Reston, Virginia in 1986 and
raised in Atlanta, Georgia in a Bangladeshi-American family.
The US government started monitoring Sadequee in 2001 when
he was just 15 years old for allegedly attempting to join
the Taliban while he and his family were living in
Bangladesh. In April 2006, at the age of 19 and just days
after his marriage, Sadequee was kidnapped and arrested in
Bangladesh. The charges against him were that he had made
false statements during an August 2005 interview with the
FBI. These charges would later be dropped and changed
instead to four terrorism charges that included taking
"casing videos" of Washington, D.C. landmarks and engaging
in "rudimentary paramilitary training" by going to a
paintball park in Georgia.
During the time of his kidnapping in Bangladesh and
extradition to the United States, his family said he was
stripped of his clothes and wrapped in a plastic material
and later abused and tortured. Upon his transfer to a prison
in Atlanta in the summer of 2006, Sadequee was placed in
23-hour-a-day pre-trial solitary confinement where he
remained for three years until his trial began in August
2009. According to his family, his cell was the size of a
bathroom and had a very small window which was blackened to
prevent light from coming in. He was allowed one hour out of
his cell for recreation time spent by himself.
Evidence against Sadequee, who represented himself at trial,
was classified and, so, was made inaccessible to him until
just a few months before his trial began. Leading up to his
trial, government prosecutors requested that no mention of
the conditions of Sadequee's capture, rendition or his
pre-trial detention in Bangladesh and the United States be
allowed into his trial. The judge allowed for this request.
In August 2009, at the age of 23, Sadequee was convicted of
providing aid to terrorist groups and sentenced to 17 years
in prison plus 30 years probation. He is currently held in a
Communication Management Unit at the federal prison in Terre
Haute, Indiana.

(CNN)The Taliban's supreme leader Mawlawi Haibatullah
Akhundzada has once again warned foreigners not to interfere
in Afghanistan during a rare speech at a gathering of
Islamic clerics in Kabul on Friday, according to state
media.
The reclusive leader told the conference that Afghanistan
"cannot develop without being independent," according to
state-run Bakhtar News Agency.
"Thank God, we are now an independent country. (Foreigners)
should not give us their orders, it is our system, and we
have our own decisions," Akhundzada added.
In the speech, Akhundzada praised the Taliban's takeover of
Afghanistan last August, almost two decades after they were
driven from Kabul by US troops, saying: "The success of the
Afghan jihad is not only a source of pride for Afghans but
also for Muslims all over the world."

The speed of the takeover, just weeks after the starts of
the withdrawal of US troops, took the world by surprise and
led to the dissolution of the foreign-backed government of
Ashraf Ghani, who had fled the country.
Akhundzada made the comments in an audio recording during a
three-day religious gathering of 3,000 attendees -- all of
whom were male, according to state media.
The meeting was not open to the media, but CNN listened to
the recording of Akhundzada's speech.
The gathering in Kabul began on Thursday. Akhundzada is
based in Kandahar, the Taliban's birthplace and spiritual
heartland, is rarely
photographed in public, a fact that has fueled rumors over
the years that he was sick or possibly dead. No photographs
of Akhundzada attending the meeting, which began in Kabul on
Thursday, have been released.
