Khutba
Latest Khutba
Be outgoing. Da'wah is Essential. We must stop debating Each
Other. Help the Children of Baltimore.
On November 26, Br. Kaukab Siddique gave the juma khutba at
masjid Jamaat al-Muslimeen. in Baltimore. The prayer was led
by Br. Ridwan who is from Nigeria.
The masjid was packed probably owing to the holiday.
Here are the main points of the khutba for widespread
distribution over the Internet.

Sura 16, verse 125. Call unto the way of thy Lord with
wisdom and fair exhortation, and reason with them in the
better way. Lo! thy Lord is Best Aware of him who strays
from His way, and He is Best Aware of those who go
aright.
After praising Allah and sending salutations to Muhammad,
pbuh, his family, companions and wives and all the prophets
and messengers, including Noah, Abraham, Moses and Jesus,
Ayat a-Kursi from sura al-Baqara was recited.
Alhamdulillah, Masjid Jamaat has become financially
independent through donations from the community. We have
never accepted funds from any government and any government
affiliate.
We have Muslims who are professional in security. Its a
safe place. No Zionist or other can stumble in here and
create a mess, inshaAllah.
We started in the basement and now we have nice carpets
from one end of the little masjid to the other. Mices and
heaters work.
Repairs downstairs are pending.
To worship Allah, we must reach out to the people among
whom we live. Inviting people to Islam is essential to the
Islamic way of life.
Part 2.
Reaching out to the larger, non-Muslim community, will
have a great benefit. It will save us from debating each
other. Start with our families but don't get stuck there
owing to the familiarity factor. All non-Muslims are
potential Muslims but we do not invite non-Muslims and
politicians to speak in the masjid.
If you can give time for da'wah, talk to the shoora
members of this masjid and the 6 khateebs we have,
alhamdulillah. Learn the proper manners..
I am starting a fund to help the needy people of
Baltimore. There are so many children in this city and
single moms who need help. Often the children are hungry or
don't have books, pens, crayons, pencils and notebooks.
Sports goods are a big help.
The Prophet, pbuh, was often alone as a Muslim in the
city of Makka. Support came very slowly but he never gave
up.
Read the Qur'an. Allah wants us to do Da'wah. It is a
requirement.
When there is a command from Allah, what other persuasion do
we need?

Men can be Victims of False Rape Accusations
by Sis. Aisha
Jamaat al-Muslimeen
In recent months, there has been a surge of men having their
wrongful convictions overturned after spending decades in
prison.
On November 24th, a former marine, Anthony Broadwater, 61,
was cleared in the 1981 rape of author Alice Sebold, 58.
Sebold was brutally raped while a student in Syracuse, NY.
She wrote about her ordeal in her memoir, "Lucky." The book
was about to be turned into a film when executive producer
Tim Mucciante put it on hold. He noticed inconsistencies in
the accounts given in the film's script and the book. He
hired a private investigator to do some research and
discovered questionable evidence was used in the
conviction.
Alice Sebold went to the police after she believed she saw
the man who raped her in a park. Police told her that
Anthony Broadwater was likely her rapist. Although Sebold
could not identify Broadwater in a police lineup, the trial
went on anyway. In fact, Sebold identified another man, who
she later said looked similar to Broadwater. The prosecutor,
at that time, lied and told Sebold that both men were
friends and appeared in the lineup to trick her. It was
while she was on the witness stand that Sebold, eventually,
identified Broadwater as her attacker.
Broadwater did not stand a chance. The psychological
manipulation of a crime victim "identifying" her attacker
after the police and prosecutor have decided he is the
perpetrator has led to many wrongful convictions, as well as
victims, being victimized all over again, but this time by
the system.
An "expert" claimed that microscopic hair analysis tied
Anthony Broadwater to the rape, a type of analysis that the
U.S. Department of Justice has since declared is junk
science. Broadwater was convicted and spent 16 years in
jail. After his release in 1999, he had to register as a sex
offender. His experience has hurt his relationship with his
family and friends. Even after being married, he decided
against having any children out of fear of them being
stigmatized by his rape conviction.
Executive Producer Tim Mucciante is being praised for taking
the initiative to look into this rape case. Since the rape
conviction has been tossed out, it has been learned that the
film adaptation for Alice Sebold's book "Lucky" has been
canceled due to a loss of financing months ago. It was in
June 2021 that Mucciante put the project on hold to conduct
his investigation. Alice Sebold has yet to comment on this
overturned conviction in her rape case.

Indian Muslims: the victims of Hindutva war savagery
Dr. Firoz Mahboob Kamal
The Hindutva war
The Hindutva fascists formed the world's largest
Non-Government Organisation (NGO) called Rashtriya Shevok
Sangha (RSS) not to share goodwill with the minority Muslim
compatriots, but to build up ideological militancy among its
members. The targets of the assault are the Muslims. They
raise slogans that the Indian Muslims have only two
destinations: either to Pakistan or to the graveyard. It
tells a lot about the virulence of the Hindutva ideology. It
was created with the sole objective to make India a Hindu
state. (Andersen, Walter; Damla, Shridhar, 1987). When M.S
Golwalker became the RSS President in 1940, he set it a goal
not to fight against the British. (M.S Golwalkar, 1974).
During the British raj, the aim was to gain strength and to
make RSS war-ready to fight against the Muslims after the
departure of the British. And now they are engaged in that
war.
Some people postulate that Hindutva ideology was a reaction
to the creation of Pakistan. It is not true. There was a
Hindutva hype even long before the creation of Pakistan.
From day one of its inception in 1925, the RSS was focused
on mobilizing and strengthening the Hindutva recruits with a
singular objective to cleanse Muslims. In 1927, within two
years of its creation, the RSS launched its first Muslim
cleansing operation in its birthplace in Nagpur - a city in
Maharashtra. Its militants launched an organized attack
against the local Muslims and the campaign went on for 3
days and forced the Muslims to leave the city. Truly, the
creation of Pakistan in 1947 infuriated the RSS cadres
further -as if Pakistan has cut into pieces their mother
India. After the end of the British colonial rule, they
intensified their war against the captive Muslims. They
consider every Indian Muslim a traitor cum termite and a
Pakistani inside. (Ashish Nandi, 2002).
For its terrorist activities, the RSS was banned 4 times: in
1947, 1948, 1975-77, and 1992. During the British raj, it
was banned for its communal terrorism by the provincial
government of Punjab in 1947. In 1948, it was banned for
killing Gandhi. In 1992, it was banned for destroying the
historic Babri Mosque. Since Narendra Modi -a lifelong
member of RSS, became the Prime Minister, everything
changed. The RSS is no more alone in its mission. Along with
this non-state fascist outfit, the whole state apparatus,
the media, the police, and the army are now working hand in
hand to attain the Hindutva objective.
The cross-party epidemic
A war is fought not only on the battlefields but also on the
ideological, cultural, and economic premises. Hindutva
literature tells about such an inclusive war against the
Muslims. All RSS compounds all over India indeed work as
mini cantonments to train fighters for such a war. In fact,
such a war has already been imposed on all the sectors of
Muslim life in India. They want not only the full surrender
of the Muslims but also the full decimation, demoralization,
and de-Islamisation of the Muslims. For that, they have even
deployed violent criminals as fighters to lynch, rape,
torture, and kill Muslims even on local streets, public
premises, and domestic grounds. Thus, the Hindutva war has
entered into every arena of Muslim presence and impacted
every aspect of Muslim lives.
Malaria in India doesn't differ from malaria in Europe. The
same is true for an ideological disease. Therefore, whatever
the German fascists did against the Jews in Europe, the
Hindutva fascists are doing the same against the Indian
Muslims. Like a virus, a toxic ideology too never stays
confined within the premise of a single political, religious
or terrorist outfit. It shows a cross-party, cross-country,
and cross-border epidemic. India is a classic example.
Therefore, its Hindutva epidemic has overwhelmed not only
its culture, politics, media, and education but also the
whole spectrum of life. Hence, the anti-Muslim hatred in
Indian politics is not the monopoly of the RSS-BJP axis, the
parties like the Indian National Congress and many others
have also been infected with the same toxicity.
Following examples may help understand the gravity of the
issue.
The spell of the Hindutva venom on Congress politics was
fully exposed during the election campaign of 1989. To
appease the Hindu voters, Rajiv Gandhi -the Congress Party's
sitting Prime Minister attempted to snatch the Hindutva
mantra from the RSS-BJP family by outplaying the issue. For
that, he borrowed the Hindutva strategy of L.K. Advani -the
BJP leader. He started his campaign from the district of
Faizabad -known for its historic Babri Mosque. Dispelling
the previous secular stand of the Congress, Rajiv Gandhi
took the banner of the Hindutva agenda in his own hand. He
promised to inaugurate Rama Rajya -the rule and the kingdom
of Rama, in India. (Pradeep Nayak, 1993).
It was a clear departure from the declared political
ideology of Congress. He even opened the door of the Babri
Mosque for the Hindu worshippers -which was strategically
avoided by every Congress and non-Congress government in the
past. But Rajiv Gandhi displayed his sheer lack of political
wisdom and foresightedness. He gave preference to getting
more Hindu votes over esteemed values, justice, and respect
for the minority rights. Such siding with the Hindu majority
and robust Hindutva radicalization of the Congress Party by
Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi prompted the Muslims to quickly
leave the Congress. In the national election, his trick to
amass Hindu votes didn't work. He failed to defeat the old
vanguards of the Hindutva like BJP. As a result of losing
the Muslim votes, the Congress ceased to exist anymore as an
electable contender of power in Indian national politics. It
could only show up as an insignificant regional party in
some smaller states.

[Hadith Sahih Muslim.]
'Assalaamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullaahi wa Barakaatuhu'.
THE GROWTH OF A CHILD IN THE WOMB OF A MOTHER
AND HIS DESTINY IN REGARD TO HIS LIVELIHOOD
HIS DEEDS~ (BOTH GOOD AND EVIL )
Abdullah B. Mas'ud (Allāh be pleased with him) reported
that
PROPHET [peace be upon him] said...
' Verily your creation is on this wise.
The constituents of one of you are collected for Forty (40)
days in his Mother's womb in the form of blood~
after which it becomes a clot of blood in another period of
forty (40) days.
Then it becomes a lump of flesh and forty (40) days later
ALLAH sends HIS Angel to it with instructions concerning four
(4) things ! so the Angel writes down
his Livelihood,
his Death,
his Deeds,
his Fortune & Misfortune.
By Him, besides whom there is no God, that one amongst you
acts like the people deserving Paradise until between him and
Paradise there remains but the distance of a cubit !
when suddenly the writing of destiny overcomes him and he
begins to act like the denizens of hell and thus enters hell !
and another one acts in the way of the denizens of hell, until
there remains between him and hell a distance of a cubit, that
the writing of destiny overcomes him and then he begins to act
like the people of Paradise ! and Enters Paradise !

Hadith of the Week
Narrated by
'Umar bin Al-Khattab, r.a.:
Once a Jew said to me,
"O the chief of believers! There
is a verse in your Holy Book
which is read by all of you (Muslims), and had it been
revealed to us, we would
have taken that day on which it
was revealed as a day of celebration." 'Umar bin
Al-Khattab asked,"Which is
that verse?" The Jew replied, "This day I have perfected
your religion For you, completed
My favor upon you, And have chosen for you Islam as
your religion." (5:3)
'Umar replied, "No doubt, we know when and where this verse
was revealed to the Prophet. It was Friday and the Prophet
was standing at'Arafat (the Day of Hajj)"

Kazakh Muslims Speak about terrible Experiences of UIghurs
in China.
[Courtesy Bitter Winter]
Uyghurs are being exposed to a catalogue of psychological
harm as they run the gauntlet of China's crackdown in their
homeland.
As international experts, journalists and activists gathered
last week in the UK's northern city of Newcastle, home of
CCP-sanctioned Jo Smith Finlay, for a landmark conference to
debate the so-called Genocide of the Uyghur people, the
mental and spiritual trauma suffered by not only those at
home but the tens of thousands stranded exiles overseas was
high on the agenda.
Rahima Mahmut, director of the UK branch of the World Uyghur
Congress who often translates and interprets for the
diaspora, finds herself constantly traumatised by one
testimony after the other of former detainees who are broken
by their experiences in the camps. Both those who have been
abused and those who had to watch or clear up afterwards are
permanently scarred by their experiences, she recounted.
From her experiences listening to harrowing accounts, rape,
she said, seems to be one of the primary weapons used by the
CCP to not only hurt and break the women, but also to
humiliate the men. Women in Uyghur culture, she explained,
are the primary teachers of the young and the carriers of
culture. "This is a deliberate attempt by the government to
destroy women who give birth, educate their children, and
pass on the culture, language and history," she said.
Asked whether evidence of systematic rape in the camps was
sound, Mahmut described the anguish of Gulzira Auelkhan, a
Kazakh woman who had worked in a camp after she was called
in, as a woman, to translate. Only after she had reached the
safety of the "free" West had she felt able to speak frankly
about her ordeal. Through witnessing the spontaneous,
convulsive gasps and tears, as her story came tumbling out,
Mahmut became convinced of its authenticity.
Auelkhan's job as a Kazakh in the camp had been to undress
girls chosen for their youth and beauty and prepare them for
Han men who had paid for their services. She had to tie them
down, and clean up afterwards. "She sobbed uncontrollably as
she told her story," said Mahmut. "She will suffer long term
psychological damage, as will all the women in exile who
have close contact with survivors." Mahmut described the
widespread trauma of her community which she explained was
breaking the spirit of her people. "There are so many
emotionally destroyed women in our community," she said.
"The pain is too difficult to bear."
Many diaspora women have been torn from their children.
Unable to obtain passports for some of them, for the sake of
the others, they were forced to abandon the rest, often with
relatives or friends. "Some have lost three or four
children," she recounted. "This is an intolerable pain they
live with every day."
The need for psychological support was critical, she said.
"Many have severe mental health conditions. They are
depressed and anxious and this is something that will never
go away."
Fearing that this is a CCP tactic to destroy women's
strengths and intellects, Mahmut feels it is important not
to give in. She described another camp survivor, Tursunay
Ziawudun, who had been systematically raped over her nine
month internment and had concluded the purpose was "designed
to destroy everyone's spirit."
"But we must carry our culture using whatever talents God
has given us, whether it is music or poetry, or other
gifts," said Mahmut defiantly. "These accounts push us to
continue our spirit found in our music, our history and our
stories."
"It's my duty to carry on this spirit," she said, "and to
make sure it is carried on in the future. We will continue
to survive."
"I try not to allow the CCP to win," said Mahmut.

Thousands Protested in Islamabad against Unemployment.
LAHORE: November 28: Jamaat-e-Islami Emir Sirajul Haqhas
said the military establishment provided backing for the
formation of incumbent and former governments in
Pakistan.
"Establishment should stop interfere in politics if it wants
to avoid public criticism," he added while addressing the
participants of youth march in Islamabad.
The JI Youth Pakistan organized the march of unemployed
educated people from across the country in the federal
capital to protest against the joblessness and
inflation.
Thousands of participants of the march raised slogans
against the anti-youth policies of the government. Reminding
the prime minister his promise to create 10 million jobs,
the protestors marched from Ambassy Road to D-Chowk and
vowed to continue struggle for their rights until the rulers
ensure provision of their rights.
Sirajul Haq said it had been proved after three years that
PTI lacked capacity and vision to run the country.
Unemployment and inflation were uncontrolled and more than
20 million children were out of schools due to poverty, he
said, adding the ruling elite never paid attention to the
common man issues whether it was the government of the PTI
or the former regimes of the PML-N and the PPP.
The JI chief said the people from Karachi to Gwadar were
protesting for their rights but the rulers were not willing
to listen to their demands. He demanded the government
address the demands of fishermen of Gwardar and ensure
compensation to the Nasla Town affectees. He also raised the
issue of missing persons, reminding the prime minister his
old claims about the long lingering tragedy. He said the
rulers must address the deprivations of the people of
Balochistan. He hailed the struggle of the JI Karachi
chapter Emir Hafiz Naeemur Rahman and JI Balochistan chapter
Secretary General Maulana Hidayatur Rahman for fighting for
the rights of the residents of Karachi and Gwadar. He also
congratulated JI Youth President Zubair Gondal for
organizing a peaceful and successful march of the youth.
Sirajul Haq said the nation must stand for their rights and
launch a peaceful struggle to get rid of the ruling elite.
He said youth instead of being hopeless, should fight
against the oppressors. He said the country could not go
ahead without sending home the feudal lords and agents of
the status quo.
JI secretary general Ameerul Azim and other leaders also
spoke on occasion.
