Jamaat Al-Muslimeen Shura Resolutions - June 26, 2021
Jamaat al-Muslimeen deplores the uprooting and evictions
of Palestinians from their homes in Sheikh Jarrah
(Palestinian neighborhood) and Silwan, but recognize that
this is not a new phenomenon; rather, it has been the modus
operandi of a colonial settler Israel throughout its
history.
We deplore that the U.S. corporate media fail to cover
Israeli atrocities, obscuring the glaring fact that Israel
preferentially hits soft (ie civilian) targets.
We condemn the slow strangulation of Gaza, not just by
Israel, but by Egypt, Jordan UAE, and the other Arab
countries which surround her.
Jamaat al-Muslimeen hails the deep, heartfelt solidarity
extended by the Black community to the Palestinian people,
and we anticipate a cementing of that alliance.
We are deeply concerned that the majority of Americans
remain unaware of Israel's actions towards the Palestinians.
We urge Americans to educate themselves on Israel's actions
on the ground, and then to decide if they really want
billions of their tax dollars to be sent to Israel.
We condemn the savage murder of Palestinian activist Nizar
Banat by the Palestinian Authority (PA). And- we deplore
that the West Bank is governed by the Palestine Authority
(PA), which is Palestinian in name only, and in fact does
the bidding of Israel.
Jamaat Al-Muslimeen urges people to write, speak, march,
and organize for the Palestinian cause, the cause of
justice.

JI report
We Support Imran's Islamic Statements
but People look for Real Implementation.
by Qaiser Sharif
LAHORE- JUNE 25: Deputy Amir of Jamaat-e-Islami, Secretary
General of Milli Yakjehti Council Liaqat Baloch has said
that Prime Minister Imran Khan has spoken well and boldly
about not giving bases to the United States regarding
Afghanistan, women's dress and Islamophobia, we welcome
these statements. Imran Khan should be courageous enough, go
ahead and implement the system of Riyasat-e Madinah (the
state of Madinah) with the full implementation of the
Constitution of Pakistan in the light of Qur'an and
Sunnah.
After 9/11, at the behest of the United States, the military
dictator General Pervez Musharraf's strategy of surrendering
on a telephone call must also be changed. Religious
partisans will be strong supporters of this national
strategy. The only cure for the country and the nation to
get out of all these crisis is the rule of Islam.
Liaqat Baloch said that the government could not keep the
people satisfied with good and enthusiastic statements for
long. Poverty, inflation, unemployment, and lawlessness of
state institutions have become a national disease. The worst
load shedding of electricity, rising tariffs of electricity,
oil and gas are imposed on the people and now the country is
facing a major gas crisis due to government mismanagement,
poor planning. Government's incompetence and mismanagement
have taken a dangerous form for national unity and solidarity.
Liaqat Baloch said that the government has postponed the IMF
talks till the budget is approved as per a deliberate plan.
The budget is a game to throw dust in the eyes of the
people. IMF talks will resume after the budget is approved.
The people will suffer from a tsunami of inflation, price
hike and unemployment. Interest, corruption, debt,
lawlessness, political, election-oriented budget and
announcements of development projects are cancer for the
national economic system. Whoever comes in power, will cling
to the unrest, the outdated system and the quagmire of
economic crises will further deepen. The only solution to
all these crises is the abolition of the interest-bases
system, getting rid of debts and the Islamic economic system
based on self-reliance.

A Fiery Khutba in Manhattan, NY. A Real Surprise.
by Sis. Aisha
Jamaat al-Muslimeen
Today, I ventured on to the 97th Street Islamic Cultural
Center (ICC) in Manhattan for Jumah.
The khutba was given by a Bro. Abu Malik. I knew that the
khutba was unlike the usual boring, kuffar-accommodating
ones because he stated that he is not one to be told what he
can say. He wanted the jam'aat to make dua for his mentor
Sheikh Amin, who was in attendance but in ill health.
Bro. Abu Malik spoke of Moses (pbuh) and how he was marked
for death before his birth ever took place. He said that
Pharoah considered Moses (pbuh) that much of a threat but,
that Allah in his wisdom knew to hide Moses (pbuh) in the
only place where there was no fear: Pharoah's own home!
He questioned how 1.5 billion Muslims can standby and not
utter a word when the holiest site in Islam, Masid Al-Aqsa,
is desecrated. He said that Muslims fear speaking out for
various reasons: fear of job loss, being labeled a
terrorist, being put on a no-fly list. He implored listeners
to understand that Allah alone is our only Helper.
Bro. Abu Malik reminded listeners that we Muslims are a
threat simply for being Muslim. He said Satan says this in
the Qur'an (7: 12-18). Being Muslim is not with its
challenges from Satan.
At the end of the khutba Bro. Abu Malik stated that there
was no nationalism, ageism, or any other ism in Islam. He
said nationalism will not save any of us. He said that the
one thing that unites the Muslims is referenced in a book
written by a Jewish law professor, Noah Feldman, called
After Jihad. In After Jihad, it says that what unites
Muslims all over the world is the phrase: La illahi illallah
Muhammadur Rasulullah.
Bro. Abu Malik stated that he has been to many different
masjids with various cultural identities and has always been
welcomed as a brother in faith. He pointed out the many
different nationalities at this masjid alone. No other faith
exemplifies this better than Islam.
After the khutba, I had the chance to greet Bro. Abu Malik
on his fiery khutba. He was very humble with his thanks.
But, my congratulations were cut short because there were so
many brothers turning him east and west shaking his hand,
and also praising him on his khutba. Many had questions for
him. He was still talking to people when I had to leave.
Al-hamdulillah, that was a refreshing khutba.
But, that type of reaction is understood after being
subjected to the filtered, uninspiring messages that can be
heard there most of the time.
I forgot to mention that Bro. Abu Malik told listeners that
when he looked up his own name Online he saw that he was
referred to as a terrorist and that the CIA had its eyes on
him. He said that he has never harmed anyone in any way but,
it is all because of his speeches. I didn't get his last
name. He did say he was Brooklyn-born.

Pro-Regime Mosques in USA
Several Responses were received after pro-regime mosque
bosses accosted the Editor of New Trend.
Here is a response to one letter by Sis. Nadrat.
Wa alaikom as-salaam, beloved sister! Thank you for the
support.
Indeed dastardly people run many of our mosques. And since
historically masajid are the heart/organizing centers of the
Muslim community, folk like these ensure that the Muslim
community is impotent, ineffective, and reactive. In other
words, it is no force to be reckoned with, poses no
challenge to the kuffar, and follows, rather than leads.
Thankfully, there are a few small independent masajid, like
Masjid Jamaat Al-Muslimeen(Baltimore) and Masjid Al-Islam
(Washington, DC) which do not toe the line, and are a cause
for hope.
It is a common thread that when outreach workers, myself
included, go to the mosques like the one I wrote about, the
sold out administrators call the police, or threaten to
escort us off the property, confiscate (or attempt to
confiscate) our literature, and otherwise attempt to hinder
the dissemination of an alternate opinion.
I've even had a "board member" of a DC area mosque, a
Pakistani physician at that, go behind me and remove copies
of the New Trend from the windshields of cars parked in a
masjid parking lot. And he'd previously verbally expressed
support to me for Dr. Aafia Siddiqui, whose cause we
champion. From a short distance away, I watched him engage
in this cowardly act, shaking my head.
Such folk are clearly very threatened by the truth. That is
why sisters and brothers like you, who help to
electronically distribute the New Trend are invaluable. The
New Trend editor shouldn't have to go it alone! JazaakAllah
khair for all you do!
HasbunAllah,
Nadrat

New Settlements
[from Br. Nazir]
Israel has approved 31 zoning plans, each containing a small
number of housing units or facilities, in the occupied West
Bank, in the first such move since the new coalition
government came into office on June 13.
The move, which was passed on Wednesday, saw 18 of the
construction plans receiving final approval in illegal
settlements such as Alfei Menashe, Elkana, Havat Sde Bar and
Yitzhar. The approval is the first of its kind in six
months.

Latest khutba
Qur'an and Authentic Hadith are more important than the
teachings of any scholar or School of Thought. Remember the
Destruction of Baghdad.
On June 25, Br. Kaukab Siddique gave the khutba at Masjid
Jamaat al-Muslimeen in Baltimore. It was a joyous day
because an old friend's
scholarly daughter had married a nice young man from the
state of Chad who had been studying in Malaysia.
The masjid is under repairs
so there was a small collapse just before the khutba but no
harm was done.
Here are the main points of the khutba for distribution
countrywide on line.
Text:
"Those whom they invoke besides Allah create nothing and are
themselves created. Dead, lifeless, nor do they know when
they will be raised up."
The Qur'an 16:20-21
We can understand what is happening in the world today
with Guidance from the Qur'an and authentic hadith.
There can be no progress without acceptance of Allah and
accountability in the Hereafter.
Children die of hunger because of human tyranny and
oppression.
In every age and time Allah has sent messengers and
prophets ending in perfection with Muhammad, pbuh.
Divine knowledge brings change not possible through
science. Islam gave rights to women in a society where
before Islam female infanticide was considered okay.
Muhammad, pbuh, forgave his enemies although they had
been defeated after 23 years of trying to kill him.
Fast forward to scientific Europe.
Britain, France, America. Russia incinerated every German
city killing civilians in hundreds of thousands..
When Germany was defeated, the allies raped every German
woman they could find from age 8 to 80.
Then dropped two atom bombs on Japan.
In every aspect of life Islam is superior to non-Islamic
communities
Part 2.
I have no problem with Muslims studying the works of
great Islamic scholars like Imam Malik, Imam Abu Hanifa,
Imam Shafai, Imam ibn Hanbal.
However no human interpretation is comparable to the Qur'an
itself. The Qur'an often interprets itself.
No human behavior is comparable to the behavior of
Muhammad, pbuh. We believe that all prophets brought the
Truth but in the Ascension [Isra wal Mairaj] the Prophet
Muhammad, pbuh, led them in prayers. His perfection is above
all.
Most Muslims do not know that the Abu Hanifa, Malik,
Shafai, Ibn Hanbal, Bukhari, may Allah bless them all, DID
NOT establish their own Schools
of Thought. These were established by their students after
they passed away.
There is a major mistake in the teachings of these
Schools of Thought. They do not criticize kings and rulers.
They had made a deal not to criticize
the kings and rulers who in turn left them alone.
The original scholars either opposed the rulers or
stayed away from them. Some of the originals were subjected
to horrendous mistreatment
but they stayed strong and would not support the doctrines
of the rulers.
The city of Baghdad, the biggest city of the Muslims,
was attacked by the Mongols [1258]. The Muslims were
divided, the Schools of Thought were busy debating each
other and within 13 days the Mongols captured the vast city
and wrought havoc, killed thousands and burned the mosques
and libraries.
During 40 years the Mongols kept advancing till they
thought they could capture Damascus. They had also generated
puppet Muslims who could be used to infiltrate Muslims.
The great Islamic scholar Ibn Taymiyya called on the
ummah to unite on the Qur'an and authentic hadith. He said
he would go alone to fight the Mongols if no one would come.
The people rallied to Qur'an and Sunnah. In a series of
battles [1299-1303] the Mongols were defeated and driven
back.
Even a little Qur'an and authentic hadith is better than
exhaustive studies of jurisprudence.
Dear brothers and sisters let us unite on Qur'an and
authentic hadith. Ameen.
Unity cannot come through mere scholarship.
MashaAllah!

Du'a and Message
from Imam Badi Ali
June 25
As-slamu alaikum,
Yaḥyā bin Muʿādh said, "The sickness of
the body is from disease, and the sickness of the heart is
from sins. The same way that the body cannot enjoy the
pleasure of food when it is sick, the heart cannot enjoy the
pleasure of worship when it is in a state of sin."
Be careful of sin, for
sin breeds sin and
Sin weakens a person's willpower.
Oh Allah, Forgive me and forgive all my sins, great and
small, the first and the last,
those that are apparent and those that are hidden
Ameen.
As-slamu alaikum,
The desires of this world are like sea water. The more you
drink of them, the more you thirst.
When we start chasing the dunya for the dunya's sake,
instead of using it as a means to our real goal (pleasing
Allah) that is when our priorities become mixed up. And we
start to suffer from a serious spiritual disease.
What's given to dunya is lost forever. What's
given to Allah is never lost.
May Allah enable us to remember that the material things of
this world are temporary and the Hereafter is more important
for us. Ameen.

Chinese Muslim students returned home for university

Young people from the minority ethnic Uighur community in
the Xinjiang province were told their loved ones were

The New York Times revealed after receiving 400 pages of

Local officials were instructed to meet students on arrival
to explain their relatives were susceptible to Islamic
extremism and had been detained "for their own good",

Pakistan Would Shut its Border.
[From Br. Nazir]
MULTAN, Pakistan — Pakistan's foreign minister said
Sunday that violence and lawlessness could reign in
Afghanistan after the United States' withdrawal, and that
Pakistan would shut its border to the country if the Taliban
takes control of it.
Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that Pakistan has already taken in
3.5 million Afghan refugees over the years, but would not
accept any more. He was speaking in a weekly media briefing
held in the central city of Multan.
"We can't take more, we will have to shut our border, we
have to safeguard our national interest," he said, adding
that Pakistan will continue its diplomatic efforts for peace
in the country, and welcome its democratically elected
leadership. -
