A polite rebuttal of Javed Ahmad Ghamidi's alliance with
Maulana Waheeduddin and his attack on Maulana Maudoodi
By scholar Salim Mansur Khalid [Lahore]
Plus a note on ISNA.
Summary by Dr. Kaukab Siddiqiue.
Ghamidi sahib is a Pakistani scholar of repute who is living
in America. He has been sniping at the writings of Maulana
Maudoodi off and on for several years.
Ghamidi sahib found good company in Maulana Waheeduddin
Khan, an Indian scholar, who was very close to the Indian
government. Waheeduddin
has been popular with pro-West Urdu speaking immigrants in
Europe and America.
Waheeduddin talked the usual talk in support of beliefs that
opposition to western powers is not legitimate because Islam
is a religion of peace. and that fighting to liberate
Palestine does not make sense because Zionist Jews have a
legitimate right to Palestine.
When Waheeduddin died on April 21, 2021, his supporters
hailed his achievements loudly.
Ghamidi sahib used the occasion to project his own image as
an important scholar in the line of Waheeduddin. In the
;process of hailing the achievements of Waheeduddin, Javed
Ghamidi openly came out against the work of Maulana
Maudoodi.
Prof. Salim Khalid, who writes for the scholarly Urdu
language magazine Tarjumanul Qur'an has answered Ghamidi
sahib in the June issue of the ;paper and also brought out
significant information about Maulana Waheeduddin.
The founder of this magazine was Maulana Maudoodi
himself.
I have summarized the viewpoint of both sides:
Khalid sahib noted that Ghamidi sahib and his supporters
have been carrying out haphazard criticism of Maulana
Maudoodi and Jamaate Islami for years but they were never
answered. Hence the latest attack by Ghamidi sahib is
totally unprovoked.
Ghamidi sahib claims that all of Maudoodi's work was
political interpretation which can be seen in Maudoodi's
entire commentary on the Qur'an and in his work on hadith.
Then Ghamidi sahib urges his audience to read Maulana
Waheeduddin's book "Mistake of interpretation" which is a
work of masterly criticism of Maudoodi.
Ghamidi sahib's attempt to limit Maulana Maudoodi to
political aspects of Islam was issued on social media from
America and was picked up by Ghamidi' sahib's support
publications in Pakistan. That's how they reached Prof.
Mansur Khalid. For Ghamidi sahib, Maulana Maudoodi's
writings were his personal opinions to which he gave a
political coloring.
In his rebuttal Khalid notes that Maulana Maudoodi saw Islam
as a complete way of life and did not ever present Islam as
only an attempt to set up an Islamic government. Maudoodi's
viewpoint can be seen in his commentary on section 4 of the
Constitution of Jamaate Islam: These are its words:
" Implementation of the Islamic Deen is not about
implementation of any one aspect of it but all of it, be it
personal life or social life, be it prayers, fasting, Hajj
or zakat, or be it economics, social fabric, culture or
politics. Nothing in Islam is unnecessary. All of Islam is
necessary. A true believer's task is to strive to implement
all of it without trying to break it into bits and pieces.
Whatever is doable in personal life should be done and
whatever requires collective effort should be attempted on a
collective level."
Prof Khalid writes that Maudoodi did not think in terms of
"sufi Islam" or "political Islam" but all of Islam. He
considered fragmentation of religion as belonging to the age
of ignorance.
Mansur Khalid comments on attempts in the west to label
opponents as extremists, savages and fanatics, particularly
after 9.11.
Maulana Waheeduddin is dear to the westerners and their
supporters in the east because of his label of "political
Islam" for these opponents.
Ghamidi sahib's special friend Maulana Waheeduddin was
invited to ISNA's convention on September 6, 2015. When ISNA
was questioned about this choice, the organizers stated that
Waheeduddin was the choice of the US State Department which
had asked for him to be invited to the ISNA
convention.
Conclusion by Kaukab Siddique: ISNA is well known in America
for its pro-government policies for decades. It still
attracts young people who do not know of ISNA's ties to the
regime in Washington.

Imran Regime has followed failed policies of previous regimes.

LAHORE- JUNE 3: Jamaat-e-Islami Emir Sirajul Haq has said
the inflation rate and unemployment expose the government
claims about the improvement of economy.
"The PTI is fudging figures only to gain political
advantages," he said while addressing a meeting of the JI
Majlise Aamla (Executive Council) here on Thursday.
Political situation, economy, local government polls, issues
of Palestine, Kashmir and Afghanistan and organizational
matter came under discussion during the proceedings which
continued for more than six hours.
Sirajul Haq said the government lied to the masses during
past three years, delivering nothing at internal and
external fronts. It failed the people expectations on
Kashmir cause and betrayed the masses of the held area. He
said the bad governance and lack of vision in policy making
were trademarks of the government. He said reshuffling in
bureaucracy and political crises appeared as permanent
features in Punjab, creating problems for 60 percent of
country's population. He said the PTI had not only continued
the policies of former government during past three years,
it broke the records of mismanagement and poor performance
in many fields. He said the ruling party protected the
status quo, proving itself the agents of feudal lords and
imperialists.
The JI chief said the masses were fed up from the three
so-called mainstream political parties and wanted real
change. He said had the true democratic system based on the
principles of Islam came into effect in Pakistan after its
creation, the country would have been ranked among the
developed nations today. But, he regretted the looters
deprived the masses and damaged the institution for years.
He said only capable and honest people could lead the
country towards success.

Targeted Zionist attacks on Media Critics.
by Sis. Aisha
[Jamaat al-Muslimeen]
Rabbi Shmuley is the leader of Boteach's World Values
Network, a staunch Zionist organization. Anytime celebrities
or any public figure speaks out against Zionism they sound
the alarm. According to the AOL.com article, Boteach's
mission is "to disseminate universal Jewish values in
politics, culture, and media, making the Jewish people a
light unto the nations." Sounds like a Zionist message.
Recently, Rabbi Shmuley targeted the Haddids: Gigi and Bella
(fashion models), and Dua Lipa (British pop star). The
Hadids are Palestinians and Dua Lipa's family are from
Kosovo, Albania. All three are Muslim and have been
outspoken against the Israeli land-grab in Occupied Palestine.
The Hadids are mega social media influencers, in particular,
which is why Rabbi Shmuley took out an expensive one-page ad
in the NY Times, on May 22nd, accusing all three starlets of
anti-Semitism. On Boteach's website is a photo of all three
women describing them as "an unholy trinity of anti-Semitic
bile to demonize the Jewish people."
Dua Lipa, who is also dating Anwar Hadid, Gigi and Bella's
younger brother, said, "This is the price you pay for
defending Palestinian human rights against an Israeli
government whose actions in Palestine both Human Right Watch
and the Israeli human rights group B'Tselem accuse of
persecution and discrimination."
Gigi Hadid responded to anti-Semitism claims by stating she
wants equal rights for Palestinians. Her sister, Bella, has
attended public demonstrations against Israeli occupation in
Palestine. There were rumors that Bella's Christian Dior
contract but, amid a backlash, Dior refuted the claims
saying that her contract is still in effect.
On June 4th, I saw a digital billboard in a Manhattan, New
York neighborhood that read: "Here's an idea: Let's ask
everyone who is wondering if antisemitism is real to wear a
yarmulke for a week and then report back." According to
JewishStandard.com, this message was created by JewBelong.
Archie Gottesman and Staci Stuart are the two women founders
who say that the main goal of this organization is to be
supportive of those Jews who don't feel that they belong, as
well as help them and non-Jews see the joys of Judaism.
This message, as well as numerous interviews and surveys
about so-called anti-Semitism, promote Zionist victimhood.
With the help of the Zionist-controlled mainstream media, it
is designed to blind-side people and distract them from the
Israeli land grabbing and human trafficking going on in
Occupied Palestine.
But, social media has given people a vehicle to reveal the
individual experiences that the mainstream media has always
covered up. Influencers have mastered building a huge list
of followers and introducing the latest trends to them. Many
Influencers, such as the Hadids, are teenagers or in their
early twenties. The enterprising Influencers have
established themselves either as marketing consultants or
teach entrepreneurs how to use social media to grow their
client list.
Although they still have their newspapers, magazines,
television stations, and billboards, the Zionist-controlled
mainstream media is losing a significant battle with social
media.

Invitation to Think
Israel's power on global media: Reality or illusion?
BY IRFAN RAJA
Five years on, I admit that the University of Leeds
professor was right! He said my advice to you and those who
newly completed Ph.D.s in the fields of media,
communications and politics is simple: "Never touch Israel
until you get a decent job and are considerably settled-down
in academia."
Over the years, even well-established and known figures in
the media and political circles have paid the price for
opening up about the Israeli government's aggressive
policies.
Caution: You are reporting on Israel so check the
language.
The Gaza case
Look at the global media reporting of the current episode of
the Israeli aggression against Gaza. Though, it has been
translated as Israel's right to "self-defense" against an
"act of terror."
Even the liberal media, through its editorials, news
reports, comment and opinion pieces, downplayed Israeli
terror in Gaza.
Famous human rights activist Malcolm-X once famously said
"the media is the most powerful entity on earth. They have
the power to make the innocent guilty and to make the guilty
innocent, and that's power. Because they control the minds
of the masses."
The British press' skillful use of jargons and phrases such
as "clash," "violence," "unrest," "Palestinian militants,"
"Hamas operators," "worst religious unrest," "security
move," "provocations by Muslims," "restore order" and
"rioting of thousands of worshipers" to indicate that Israel
is a victim and in a defensive mode, making it seem as if
Muslims' threatening behavior has caused Israel to take
protective measures.
In brief, these phrases remind us of a famous saying by
British novelist George Orwell: "Political language is
designed to make lies sound truthful and murder respectable,
and to give an appearance of solidity to pure wind."
Late journalist Robert Fisk once discussed the media's use
of political language in detail, for instance, Israel uses
"neighborhood" instead of "colony" to give the impression
that Palestinians are living here peacefully.
Global media reporting of the recent Israeli aggression in
Al-Aqsa, the following airstrikes and full-scale military
attack on Gaza disappoints me in the same manner as it would
upset anyone who believes in press freedom and considers the
media to be the fifth important pillar of society.
Anyone who is following the Israel-Palestine conflict,
whether it be through live streams, TV, or reading
commentaries and news in mainstream newspapers and
magazines, ask yourself a simple question: Is the media
free?
It's pretty a simple question that doesn't necessitate
employing a Ph.D. researcher or consulting a media expert to
understand how sections of the global media, especially the
western media, depict the Israeli aggression in a way that
frames it as "Israelis right to defend themselves" against
an "act of terror."
But if any section of the media thinks to exercise freedom
then it will simply face destruction. Recall, the most
recent Israeli bombing of media offices that sent a strong
message to journalists, reminding them to stay "silent."
Get ready for consequences
There is a long list of top-ranking journalists and
prominent politicians in Britain, America and Europe who
have been forced to apologize for criticizing Israel.
Many have lost their top jobs a while others end up in vain.
That's a fact, not an illusion.
In Britain, the average person will remember the story of
Tony Blair's wife Cherie Blair being forced to apologize in
the middle of the night because she accepted that
"Palestinian suicide bombers may be driven by a lack of hope
about their future."
Of course, suicide bombing is condemnable but at the same
time, it is important to note that it is a global phenomenon
that is not only limited to the Palestinians in the occupied
lands. The best is to read Robert A. Pape's book "Dying to
Win: The Strategic Logic of Suicide Terrorism."
In British politics, prominent British politician Jeremy
Corbyn is yet another example of somebody who has been
labeled an "anti-Semite" for challenging Israeli policies,
with his political career ending in vain.
On the BBC's Hardtalk, former U.K. parliamentarian George
Galloway disclosed inequalities in the media reporting on
the Israel-Palestine issue and told journalist Stephen
Sackur how "Andrew Gilligan actually told the truth and he
got sacked. The man who backed him Greg Dyke, the
director-general of the BBC stood by his man and got sacked.
Gavin Davis stood by his DG and got sacked, Piers Morgan in
the Mirror got sacked, I got sacked." This list goes on and
on...
For a long time now, progressive voices among American
journalists, academics and politicians have been facing
hostilities for exposing the Israeli government's illegal
and inhumane policies in Palestine.
Palestinian citizens of Israel were met with a strong
Israeli police response during a protest against Israeli
actions in Jerusalem's Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood, occupied
Palestine, May 9, 2021
Palestinian citizens of Israel were met with a strong
Israeli police response during a protest against Israeli
actions in Jerusalem's Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood, occupied
Palestine, May 9, 2021.
The message is simple, anyone who dares challenge Israeli's
deceit and disinformation relating to the Israeli
government's actions in Gaza, its raids on Al-Aqsa Mosque,
or continuous imprisonment of millions of people will face
the wrath of those in power, even if the critics are of the
Jewish faith.
White House reporter Helen Thomas told a rabbi that "Jews
should get the hell out of Palestine." She was forced to
resign for this anti-Israel comment. Professor Steven
Salaita lost his job at the University of Illinois mainly
because of his criticism of Israel's bombardment in Gaza.
I hope you understand now why you are being presented
one-sided coverage of the Israel-Palestine issue in the
mainstream media, or even arguably on controlled social
media. That's how our modern world works, if you have power
and wealth, you control the means of communication.

'Assalaamualaykum Wa Rahmatuallahi Wa Barakatahu'.
*Food & Eating Habits According to the Sunnah*
Imaam Ibnul-Qayyim al-Jawziyyah's~{Rahimhullah}
Comprehensive notes covering the most important qualities of the
Prophet (Sallallaahu 'Alayhi wa Sallam) in regards to food & drink.
'It is sufficient for the son of Adam to eat a few
mouthfuls, to keep him going...
If he must do that (fill his stomach),
then let him fill one third with food,
one third with drink and one third with air.
FOOD...
When he put his hand in the food,
*PROPHET* ﷺ~would say...
" Bismillah (with the Name of Allaah),''
and he told people to say this when eating.
he said, "When any one of you eats...
let him mention the name of Allah.
If he forgets to mention the name of
Allah at the beginning, let him say...
'Bismillahi fee Awwalihi wa Aakhirihi,'
(with the name of Allah, at it's beginning and at its
end)."
The correct view is that it is obligatory to
mention the name of Allah
(say 'Bismillah') when eating.
{ The Ahaadeeth which state this are Sahih (Authentic) and are clear,
with no contradictions in them.}
When he raised the food to his mouth,
*PROPHET* ﷺ would say...
"Al-hamdu lillaahi hamdan katheeran tayyiban mubaarakan
feehi, ghayra [makfiyyin wa laa] muwadda'in, wa laa
mustaghnan 'anhu
Rabbanaa 'azza wa jall.
Translation:
"All praise is to Allah, praise in abundance, good and blessed.
It cannot [be compensated for, nor can it] be left,
nor can it be done without, our Lord. [3]
he never criticized food at all.
If he liked it, he would eat it,
and if he did not like it,
he would leave it and not say anything. [4]
or he would say...
"I do not feel like eating this." [5]
Sometimes he would praise the food,
as when he asked his family for food, and they said,
"We have nothing but vinegar."
he asked for it and started to eat it, saying...
" What good food is Vinegar." [6]
he used to talk whilst he was eating,
as is seen from the report quoted above about vinegar.
And he said to his stepson,
'Umar Ibn Abee Salamah (Radiyallahu 'Anhu)
when he was eating with him...
"Say Bismillah and eat from that which is
in front of you in the dish.'' [7]
He would repeatedly urge his guests
to eat, as generous hosts do, and as is seen
in the hadeeth of ,
[Abu Hurayrah (Radiyallahu 'Anhu),
related by al-Bukharee..]
about the story of drinking milk,
where he repeatedly said to him...
"Drink," and he kept telling him to drink
until he (the guest) said...
"By the One Who sent you with the truth,
I have no more room for it " ! [8]
When he ate with others,
he would not leave until
he had made Du'a (supplication) for them.
he made Du'a in the house of
'Abdullaah Ibn Bishr,(Allah be pleased with him) and
said...
" O Allah, bless for them that which
You have provided for them,
forgive them and have mercy on them." [9]
he commanded people to eat with their
right hands and forbade them to eat with
their left hands.
*PROPHET* ﷺsaid...
" The Shaytan eats with his left hand and drinks
with his left hand." [10]
Note: This implies that eating with the left hand is 'Haram'
(unlawful),
and this is the correct view, because the one who eats with
his left
hand is either a Shaytan (Devil), or he is imitating the
Shaytan.
It was also reported in an authentic 'Hadeeth'
that he told a man who was eating with his
left hand in his presence...
" Eat with your right hand ! "
The man said, "I cannot."
*PROPHET* ﷺ said...
" May you never be able to."
and the man never lifted his right hand
to his mouth after that... !
he commanded those who complained that they
never felt full to eat together and not separately,
and to mention the name of Allah
(say 'Bismillah') over the food so that
He might bless it for them. [12]
It was also reported that he said...
" I do not eat reclining." [13]
: he used to eat using the first three (3)
fingers (of his right hand),
which is the best way of eating .. !
THE PROPHET~
(Sallallaahu 'Alayhi wa Sallam)
GUIDANCE REGARDING EATING:
The Prophet
used to know what he was eating.
he used to eat whatever was good for him.
he used to eat enough to keep him going,
but no so much as to make him fat.
Ibn 'Umar [Allah be pleased with him] related that ..
*PROPHET* ﷺ said...
"The believer eats in one stomach
whilst the disbeliever eats in seven !" [14]
He taught his 'Ummah' something to protect
them from diseases caused by eating and drinking.
*PROPHET* ﷺ~said..
"The son of Adam does not fill any vessel worse than his
stomach.
It is sufficient for the son of Adam to eat a few mouthfuls,
to keep him going.
If he must do that (fill his stomach), then let him fill one
third with food,
one third with drink and one third with air." [15]

Hadith [From Qur'an and Hadith group]
Be Humble
Anas (May Allah be pleased with him) passed by some children
and greeted them (by saying As-salamu 'alaikum to them).
Then he said: The Prophet (PBUH) used to do the same.
[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].
Commentary:
To greet (saying As-salamu 'alaikum) small children is an
excellent expression of humbleness. Similarly, a believer is
under obligation to greet his wife and children while
entering his home, and this will be a sign of his humbleness
as well. Besides, he is also supposed to greet his
subordinates, servants and other lowly people. Escape from
it is an indication of pride and arrogance and shows a
deviation from the practice of the Prophet (PBUH) which is
enough to incur the displeasure of Allah.
