Renowned thinker and writer, Dr. Javed Jamil, currently
Chair in Islamic Studies and Research, Yenepoya (deemed to
be) University, Mangalore, has emphasized that the
commercialisation of the substances and practices prohibited
in Islam is the major cause behind the rise of various
pandemics, and Islamic Economics provides the way out of
their socioeconomic impact. He has expressed these opinions
in his research paper published in the January 2021 edition
of KAU Journal of Islamic Economics published by King Abdul
Aziz University, Jeddah, the top ranking University of Saudi
Arabia. He was invited to be a part of an international
panel to discuss the role of Islamic Economics in avoiding
and countering the impact of the Covid-19 like situations in
the world. Started in 1983, the Journal of King Abdulaziz
University - Islamic Economics has the honour to be the
first professional journal in the field of Islamic
economics. It is listed by some of the most prestigious
indexing services providers on the subject of economics like
Scopus, SSRN, EconLit, and RePEc.
In the paper titled, "Economic Fundamentalism Facilitator of
Pandemics and their Economic Consequences: The Way Out in
Islam", Dr. Jamil, known for his work in "Apllied Islamics"
has shown that most of the major killers in the last 100-120
years, including Swine Flu, Spanish Flu, HIV/AIDS,
HPV/Carcinoma Cervix, Hepatitis-B, Rabies, etc and now
Covid-19, the association with Islamic positions is proven
beyond doubt by the facts and figures available in the realm
of medical sciences. Pork, sexual malpractices including
promiscuity, prostitution and homosexuality, presence of
dogs in the domestic areas and eating of prohibited wild
animals like bats and pangolins, have all been the major
reasons behind the rise of these pandemics, which have
killed more than 200 million people in the last century. The
role of alcohol in the rise of HIV/AIDS and other Sex
Transmitted diseases is also well-documented. Dr. Jamil has
shown that circumcision plays an extremely important role in
prevention of HIV/AIDS and HPV, which is associated with
hundreds of thousands of deaths of women due to Cancer
Cervix, which is relatively rare in the wives/partners of
circumcised men. He has argued that, if despite huge
mortality and morbidity associated with these practices,
they are allowed and popularised, it is because of the fact
that all of them are big markets.
Dr. Jamil has argued that if Prophetic Hadith on the
epidemics had been followed and none had been allowed to
enter and leave Wuhan, when Corona epidemic broke there, the
world would have largely been saved. He has also opined that
the disease spread fast due to drinking habits of the
people, night life and the role of certain powers in holding
Economics above Health. He has argued that, in contrast to
Islam, which gives priority to the survival and healthiness
of life, the modern international systems are dominated by
the economic interests at the cost of health and family and
social peace. Lambasting the current economic philosophy of
"economic fundamentalism" he says that Market forces are
busy in commercializing dangerous practices in the name of
freedom of choice, which is leading to many health issues.
They first commercialise the problems and then they
commercialise solutions, he argues. The Islamic economic
philosophy is based on the supremacy of peace, which is a
comprehensive state covering individuals, family and
society; human peace, health, security, and welfare are the
guiding factors, and no matter how strong the economic
reasons are, any activity that threatens health and
comprehensive peace cannot be permitted.
The concluding remarks of the paper are worth
reproducing:
"In conclusion, the following points need to be
highlighted:
First,
the Covid-19 outbreak had its origins in the market
of wild animals, many of which prove to have a biological
structure suitable for transmission of viruses to humans,
which then have the propensity to lead to human-to-human
transmission.
Second,
it started spreading from the place of origin to the
rest of the world, because nothing was done at the right
time to stop trafficking of the people from and to the place
of its origin.
Third,
it hit the economy particularly hard because the
world economy had a huge share for the entertainment
industry, which crashed due to social distancing and
lockdown measures.
Fourth,
it hit the people hard, because in most of the
countries, except for the few elite, the masses are poor as
well as the governments. Huge economic inequality in
countries like India led to huge disasters.
In short, if in today's world, the major portions of the
economy had been in the sectors, which pose no threat to
health or social justice, the situation would not have been
as bad as it has turned out to be. If this continues, the
future will bring bigger disasters."
He adds:
"Islam provides the answers by promoting only healthy
economics and discarding the dangerous economics, in terms
of effect on health and social justice, and also giving
directions how to contain epidemics. It also ensures that
the wealth does not remain in the hands of a few, but is
more equitably distributed; and the governments are in a
healthy economic position to meet the demands in times of
crises. Islamic experts and Muslim countries and
organizations need to highlight the extraordinary results if
Islam's socioeconomic and heath-friendly propositions are
applied in the world."
Dr. Jamil has also called upon the Islamic world, especially
rich Muslim countries including the OPEC countries, "to play
a role in the availability of vaccination to the poor in
their countries as well as in other countries." He also
stressed that "Islamic countries need to invest more and
more in scientific research."
Dr. Javed Jamil has also argued that the current reach of
Islamic Economics has become limited to Financing and
Banking. It has become "an abysmal failure in influencing in
any way the direction of the globalization, which revolves
around the commercialization of not only human strengths,
but also of human weaknesses." So, while Islamic finance is
to be promoted, other important measures related to
economics should not be lost sight of, and there needs to be
more work on the generation of wealth within the Islamic
trio of Rights, Duties and Prohibitions, establishment of
taxation system based on Zakah, Ushr and Khums and campaign
against the Economics of Prohibited Substances and
practices. He has also proposed a new definition of Islamic
Economics:
"Islamic economics refers to the establishment of a world
order where people, individuals or groups, are free to earn
their livelihood through rightful use of the provisions of
God and their abilities, natural or acquired, without the
violations of the true goal of Comprehensive Peace that
Qur'an envisages, that is within the boundaries of the
three-dimensional system of Fundamental Rights, Fundamental
Duties and Fundamental Prohibitions, and the establishment
of a system that ensures comfortable living for each and
every human being, including those who are in a
disadvantageous position, temporarily or permanently, due to
some reason."
Dr. Jamil has also presented a detailed Islamic Holistic
regime of hygiene as part of Dynamic Paradigm of Health
based on Islam.

LAHORE: December 31- Jamaat-e-Islami Emir Senator Sirajul
Haq has said that 2020 proved lucky for mafias in Pakistan
who multiplied their wealth by creating fake crises of
sugar, flour, petrol and other commodities only due to the
sheer negligence of the PTI government.
Talking to media after addressing a training workshop for
the teachers and students at Mansoora on Thursday, he said
although the government tried to set every example of bad
governance during the entire year, the damage created to
education, health and agriculture sectors was seemed
irreparable.
Educational institutional were lying closed for entire year,
causing severe loss to the learning of students but no plan
was developed to cope with the challenge and minimize the
educational losses, he said. Besides education, the health
and agriculture sectors were also on the verge of collapse,
he said, adding at a time when the different countries
started vaccination program, hospital in Pakistan were even
deprived of from the basic facilities for patients and PPEs
for medical professionals and staff. The prices of
agricultural inputs were touching the skies and the
government left in the state of peril around 100 million
people dependent on agriculture, he said. The PTI chairman
used to say he would prefer committing suicide over picking
begging bowl and taking loans from any country after coming
into power but his government broke all previous records of
taking foreign loans and it took $4.7 billion alone in past
five months (July to November), he said. The PTI claim to
bring "change" remained limited to change the nomenclature
of the ministers and repeated transfers and postings in
bureaucracy, he said, adding it made thousands jobless
instead of providing employment to 10 million youth.
Senator Siraj demanded the government immediately cancel
agreement between FIA and NAB because the MoU was tantamount
to officially allowing the US agency to interfere in
internal matters of the country. He also demanded the
government immediately address the concern of the
intermediate students regarding the entry test in medical
colleges and universities.
The JI chief appealed to the teachers and students to
utilize their full energy in spreading the light of
knowledge in every nook and corner of the country. Pakistan,
he added, was not established to be ruled over by the agents
of the British and Western powers rather the people of the
country were the real heir of it. He said the future of the
country was bright but there was dire need that people took
a bold stand against the status quo powers.

Two months back in Bamako, Mali regime sentenced to death,

on a liquor bar in which they killed a Frenchman, a Belgian
and three locals. They said they had done it owing to
blasphemous cartoons of the Prophet, pbuh.

regime positions in three villages near Saraqeb, in eastern
Idlib province.
Syrian pro-Turkish fighters advanced vs SDF in Ain Issa area

In eastern Aleppo province Syrian fighters advanced against
SDF which is supported by US.
Also Syrian fighters supported by Turkish artillery advanced
in northern Aleppo province. Russia is trying to stop the

Earlier in Hasekah province two SDF were shot dead by
unknown gunmen. Another three SDF were shot dead by
pro-Turkish near Manbig.
SOHR and BBC report a devastating ambush by Islamic State
fighters in Deir ex Zor province which killed 39 Assad
regime troops. SOHR adds that 8 of them were officers.

Israeli Spy returns to Israel.

Jonathan Pollard, the former US Navy analyst who spent 30
years in prison for spying for Israel, has flown to Tel Aviv
a month after a travel ban ended.
Mr Pollard, 66, and his wife Esther were greeted at the
airport by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who recited a
Jewish blessing with them.
"You're home," Mr Netanyahu said, before handing over an
Israeli ID card. Mr Pollard was arrested in 1985 and given a
life sentence after pleading guilty to selling US secrets to
Israel. He said he had been frustrated by the US withholding
key intelligence from its staunch ally.
Israel initially denied Mr Pollard had spied for the state,
insisting he had worked with "rogue" officials. But in 1995
Israel granted him citizenship, and three years later it
officially recognised him as an agent.
Successive US administrations rejected Israeli appeals for
Mr Pollard to be shown clemency, and it was not until 2015
that he was released on parole.
The private plane for Pollard's return was provided by US
Jewish billionaire Sheldon Adelson and his wife Miriam.

Women in America: Nothing is Sacred?

Five women and girls were found dead at a home in rural
Arkansas in what police believe to be a multiple homicide on
Christmas night.
Police reported to the scene on Friday night after a family
member visited the home in Atkins, Arkansas, and found the
five dead bodies, according to the Pope County Sheriff's
Office.
While they have not identified a suspect, they do not
believe anyone is at large. The suspect is believed to be
among the dead, Pope County Sheriff Shane Jones said at a
press conference Saturday afternoon.
The victims, all believed to be related, included three
children and two adults ranging in age from 8 to 50 years
old. Authorities said the individuals were shot, Jones said.
They have not been identified.

Disturbing Aspect of Pandemic

New York City - The most unsettling aspect of this
CoronaVirus Plandemic is the role most medical practices are
playing in it. People with ongoing illnesses (diabetes,
hypertension, kidney ailments, etc.) are not receiving the
attention they deserve. People have been admitted to the
hospital with serious accident injuries and have passed away
without loved ones being there to comfort them or say a
final good-bye because they were not allowed visitation.
People are being required to take a COVID-19 test before
undergoing any kind of medical procedure to test for
COVID-19 and they must show up alone.
Medical professionals behaving unprofessionally may sound
strange to some us because they have taken various oaths to
preserve life but, the American medical field has a
disturbing history. Besides respected doctors performing
sadistic experiments on American slaves, it was not long ago
that hospitals would turn away seriously injured people
because they were not white. Many of these nonwhites, died
en route to the nearest colored hospitals. Dr. Charles Drew,
inventor of the blood transfusion, and blues singer Bessie
Smith were fatalities as a result of this horrific practice.
The CoronaVirus Plandemic has doctors playing more games
with patients' lives. In spite of the fact that urgent care
clinics have already been diagnosing sick patients,
including ones with COVID-19, they are now making patients
wait in long lines, outside of their facilities, to be seen.
This is their effort to prevent the spread of COVID-19. One
woman said she had been waiting for three hours on a line.
Making sick patients wait outside, in all kinds of weather,
is barbaric!
Now, a COVID-19 vaccine has been created and it is already
controversial. One controversy is the possible side effects
and the other is that some companies (i.e. AstraZeneca &
Jansen Research and Development) are using tissue from
aborted fetuses in their vaccines. This Plandemic was always
viewed as a money-making scheme by its critics and the
creation of a vaccine is one of the ways to profit from COVID-19.
There are concerns that the government will find ways to
force people to get the COVID-19 vaccine. These are the
recent suggestions for compelling people to get the
vaccine:
A proposed $1000+ stimulus check only for vaccinated individuals.
A condition for employment.
A means for allowing travel, nationwide or worldwide.
If this government lockdown is based on a hoax, the people
behind it need a tool that gives them "credibility." One
such tool has been the positive reverse transcription
polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) tests (nasal cotton
swabs) used to test for COVID-19. The problem is that it is
faulty and cannot distinguish between live (infectious)
viruses and inactive (noninfectious) viruses. The key is in
the cycle threshold (CT) used with the PCR test. The CT is
process used to determine the presence of a certain molecule
found in viral cells. Earlier research has revealed that a
CT over 17 has a greater chance of yielding a false
positive. However, the Centers for Disease Control (CDC)
recommends running PCR tests with a CT set to 40, which
guarantees false positives! This lockdown is based on these
faulty PCR test results, not data from COVID-19
hospitalizations and deaths.
There is a growing number of medical experts speaking out
against these COVID-19 tests and questioning its necessity.
A medical expert's opinion is based on scientific research.
A public health official's opinion is based on his political
views. Vigilance and activism is key. The American
government has been creeping toward totalitarianism for
years. It used snobbery to target and oppress nonwhites
then, the poor. Now, it's using fearmongering to target everybody.

HAMAS condemns the normalization of relations with Israel
and accuses the Persian Gulf monarchies of betraying Palestine.

The head of the political leadership of the Resistance
Movement of Palestine (HAMAS), Ismail Haniya, said Wednesday
in a letter sent to the leaders of more than 30 Arab and
Islamic countries that the normalization of relations with
the Israeli regime is "a major political sin at the expense
of the rights of our people, and represents a grave danger
to the Palestinian cause and a treacherous stab in the back
of our people."
He warned that the recent agreements of normalization had
emboldened the Israeli regime to intensify its aggressive
policies against the Palestinian nation. "The current wave
of normalization has taken place while Zionist terrorism and
aggression against our land and our people are intensifying
and the unjust blockade in the Gaza Strip continues and the
occupation persists in executing its criminal schemes," he
declared.
Haniya reminded the Arab countries that Israel was and will
continue to be the first common enemy of the entire Arab and
Islamic world, and emphasized that the one who benefits from
the path of normalization is only Israel, while the biggest
losers are those countries that established ties with the
occupation regime in Tel Aviv..
Wave of Fear among Uighurs living in Turkey. Will Turkey sell out?

Turkey on Wednesday brushed aside fears that a new
extradition treaty with China would result in Ankara
deporting Muslim Uighurs en masse.
About 20 Uighurs with Turkish citizenship picketed China's
consulate in Istanbul after the Chinese parliament ratified
the 2017 treaty on Saturday.
It would be "wrong and unfair to say it's a deal for the
extradition of Uighurs. We are more sensitive to such issues
than others," he said.
Uighurs speak a Turkic language and have cultural ties with
Turkey that make it a favoured destination for avoiding
persecution in China's northwestern region of Xinjiang.
But news reports have accused Turkey of covertly returning
Uighurs to China via third countries.
Rights activists say Xinjiang is home to a vast network of
extrajudicial internment camps that have imprisoned at least
one million people.
China says these are vocational training centres to counter
extremism.
Ethnic Uighurs rallied for the ninth day running Wednesday
to express their fears about the extradition treaty.
"God willing, we hope our state will not approve such a
thing," said Omer Farah, an Uighur with Turkish citizenship
who said his children are detained in China..
