America and China: The owners of the Two Gardens.
The Qur'an. sura 68. Verses 5 to 33.
by Kaukab Siddique
These two superpowers had decided to monpolize the wealth of the world.
They wanted to make sure that the poor and the needy would be left out.
They did not seek the blessings of the Creator, considering
the words of Truth as mere stories
They wanted to harvest their wealth early in the morning so
that no needy or poor person would share it.
Then came a blight from the Almighty. We could call it Covid
19. Invisible death and destructuin of the wealth of the
exploiters.
When they came to their gardens, they could not recognize
what they thought was flourishing. They thought they had
lost their way:
Look at the devastation wrought by covid. People staying
away from each other. No more parties. No bars, night clubs,
dances, homosex or random sex. Suddenly people are behaving
in fear of an unknown power. We need tp realize that this
calamity is only a warning. The punishment from Allah is
immeasurably greater.
Repent. Repent. Repent.
Repent for Imperialism.
Repent for Exploitation of the weak and the needy.
Repent for Zionism and racism.
Repent for slavery/
Repent for the genocide of Native American tribes.
Repent for Chinese Communist Concentration camps.
Repent for forcing Muslims to stop praying and pushing pork
on them.
Repent for support of tyrants, kings and dictators.
Repent for genocide in Kashmir.
Repent for the massacres of Rohingyas.
Repent for the destruction of Islamic cities, Mosul,
al-Raqqa, eastern Aleppo, the towns of Ghouta, the villaes
on the Euphrates.
Repent for bombing soft Muslim targets who could not shoot
back.
Allah's mercy is always there. Good people can lead the way.
Millions of Americans and Chinese are good people though
misled by controlled media.

PAKISTAN
Mosque Gatherings Ignore Imran's Warnings.
Incidents in Sheihupura & Multan.
by Qaiser Sharif.
LAHORE April 10: Welcoming the suo moto notice taken by the
Chief Justice of Pakistan about the government performance
in respect of the corona virus, the Ameer, Jamaat e Islami,
Pakistan, Senator Sirajul Haq. has expressed the hope that
this would help solve the problems being faced by the
masses.
Addressing a big Juma congregation at the Mansooara mosque,
he said that the government had not taken the issue
seriously. On the other hand, he said that in Ireland, the
government had taken the matter seriously from the very
beginning and its Prime Minister himself a medical doctor,
had even rendered services as a medic to overcome the
problem.
The JI chief said that the poor and the have-nots were
running from pillar to post for official help but it was not
in sight. The government was not even able to ensure the
supply of food stuff at the Utility stores.
He said the trading community had announced to open their
shops from April 15 while the situation was still not within
control. Therefore, the government should sit down with the
traders representatives and find out a middle course.
The JI chief said the government should have ensure the
uninterrupted supply of the essential items at the door step
of the people but this had not been done till today. As a
result, thousands of people were facing starvation. He said
that in such circumstances, the volunteers of the JI and
Al-Khidmat Foundation and other welfare bodies were
rendering commendable job.
Sirajul Haq deplored the killing of two police men at the
check post in Sheikhupura and said it was highly painful. He
urged the Prime Minister and the Punjab Chief Minister to
take notice of the incident. He said that the police men
should be politer to the general public and the training of
the police force was badly required. He said that if the
police men took the law in their own hand, the courts would
become irrelevant. At the same time, he said the people
should also give due respect to the police so that such
incidents were avoided.
Sirajul Haq also deplored the death of a poor woman during
the distribution of ration in Multan and injuries to several
others on the occasion. He said the incident had exposed the
arrangements for the distribution of ration to the poor. He
said the incident proved gross mismanagement. He said that
if ration was distributed in such a manner, large scale
casualties were feared.
LIAQAT
LAHORE, Apr. 10; Deputy chief of the Jamaat e Islami, Liaqat
Baloch, has said that the fast spread of the corona virus
required extensive testing facilities to control the
situation.
Talking to the media, he said that a trained technical staff
was needed for the purpose. He said that the present staff
at the hospitals was badly short to face the challenge.
He said that the civil and democratic governments in Asian
countries had failed to face the situation created by the
corona virus due to which the influence of the military was
increasing. He said that in the country, a group within the
government was blaming the pilgrims, the Tableeghi Jamaat
and those offering prayers by congregation for the spread of
virus. He said that in such a situation, the foremost need
was to maintain and strengthen national unity.
He was confident that the nation would be able to come out
of this crisis success.

A Community of Muslims in Prison.
A Prison imam in Jessup, Maryland, writing to Br. Kaukab via
his wife, Sis. Khadija in Baltimore.
In shaa Allah you and your family are well and healthy. My
husband Abdul Hakim sends his Salaams and apologies for the
delay in sending this correspondence. It has truly taken all
week to make a simple statement. Not to be put into the
article but literally communication has been severely choppy
between poor connection and I could barely understand what
he was saying, shortened time on the phone (15 mins now for
a FREE call), or just being severely skeptical of using the
public jail phones due to sanitation and covid19 concerns.
The inmates there literally are on there own to survive this
outbreak which is mostly affecting the guards, officers, and
contracted employees who get to wear masks but the inmates
now cannot wear any time of face covering to protect
themselves as of this week. Last week it was ok to do so and
now it is prohibited and punishable.
When asking my husband, Imam Abdul Hakim Mumin, about the
conditions of the Ummah of Patuxent Institution during this
time of COVID19 and how it is affecting the Ummah, here is
what he had to say:
"As Salaam Alaikum Brothers and Sisters in Islam. Greetings
to our Prophet Muhammed (SAW), the family of the Prophet
(RA), the Sahabas (RA), and the Sahabayets (RA). May Allah
be pleased with them and May they forever rest well in
Paradise.
How is the Ummah holding up under the current conditions ?
It is hard to answer that question because here there are
twenty-two (22) tiers with the Muslim population spread out
amongst those tiers. For a more than a month now, we have
not been allowed to congregate for Juma'ah, for classes, for
Shura, nor for general nasihah. We do not get to congregate
at all except for brief conversations in "the yard" because
of "social distancing." With not having Juma'ah for over a
month now, it is easy for some to forget that Juma'ah is a
reminder for the believer. The younger Muslims have a
deficiency in the Iman and not being able to admonish nor
are the younger Muslims able to properly receive the nasihah
due to 'social distancing' which makes it even more
difficult to encourage the younger Muslims properly. They
comprise over 90% of the Ummah. Keeping the younger Muslims
and the new Shahadas on track has become a serious challenge
because for the most part they only see Islam 'Juma'ah to
Juma'ah' and not a true every day , living, breathing way of
life largely due to the covid19 breakdown of our
congregational instructions and other activities. Having
community is extremely important.
On a better note, one of the last activities we got to
celebrate was on February 29, 2020, we celebrated a team of
12 Muslim brothers who competed amongst about 40 other
Brothers in what we called 'Islamic Jepardy Challenge.' The
teams competed for the chance to be the 'Champions.' They
received personalized certificates of achievement and
'Championship' as well as other prize packages we were able
to put together like books, sweets from commissary, etc. It
was quite exciting for them. This was one of the activities
put in place to help gear up for Rahmadhan . Overall our
morale is high, despite the challenges we are facing.
The hadeeth we remind ourselves to keep in rememberance
during these times is one that was reported by Lady Aisha
(RA) in which Lady Aisha (RA) said
'I asked Allah's Messenger (SAW) about pestilence and he
said, 'It is a punishment which Allah sends upon whomever He
wills but Allah has made it as a mercy to the Believers.
Anyone who remains in a town which is plagued with
pestilence maintaining patience expecting a reward from
Allah and knowing that nothing will befall him other than
what Allah has ordained for him. He will receive a reward of
Shaheed.'
Another hadeeth which we constantly keep in rememberance
also is an hadeeth from Abu Sa'id (RA) and Abu Huraira (RA)
which reported that 'the Prophet (SAW) said never is a
believer stricken with a discomfort, an illness, an anxiety,
a grief or mental worry, or a prickling of a thorn but that
Allah will expiate a sin on account of his patience.'
All of these things we face, have faced, will face are our
tests in Dunya. We have to bear that in mind. Allah (SWT)
will always bless us with ease after hardship. May Allah
(SWT) keep us amongst the righteously guided so that we may
righteously guide others. May our names be written amongst
those who have kept the faith and continued to do good and
show good character amidst any challenge or test that may
come our way. In shaa Allah we will see the barakats of what
is going on world wide. We must also remember this is the
Qadr of Allah To'ala. May Allah keep us safe and
healthy.
Ameen.

Feedback on Coronavirus. What should Muslims do?
by Sis. Aisha [Jamaat al-Muslimeen]
New York City - According to a LiveScience.com article by
Rachael Rettner, "How does the new coronavirus compare with
the flu?, " 38 million Americans have the flu with 390,000
hospitalizations and 28,000 deaths, as of March 25th. As of
April 11th, there are over 500,000 coronavirus cases, 29,000
recoveries, but 18, 700 deaths. The article states that
doctors have been treating the flu for over a century now
while they are very unfamiliar with coronavirus since it is
a new virus. They seem to be letting COVID-19 run its course
in patients.
This "Social Distancing" is pointless if we're to believe
that the coronavirus is lurking around corners waiting to
pounce on us because this is not how any disease operates.
It is a symptom of something gone amiss and the best way to
prevent it is with proper hygiene, strengthening the immune
system, and prayer. If cleanliness is not a serious factor
in fighting COVID-19 then, it will resurface once this
shutdown ceases.
Many activists, some politicians, and health experts have
accused the Trump Administration of being lackadaisical and
unprepared in dealing with coronavirus. It looks like a
scramble. to get things done. The The secret supply of 85
million N95 respirators and other masks were distributed
during the 2009 swine flu pandemic but the supply was never
replenished!
I was watching a YouTube live event called "Diddy's Black
America & Coronavirus." What Rep. Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez
and Activist Angela Rye stated resonated with me because
they spoke of the Black and Latino communities being
disproportionately affected due to environmental racism.
They claimed that Blacks and Latinos are now the largest
number of coronavirus cases in New York City.
Even Rikers Island has a number of prisoners infected with
COVID-19. How does someone who is locked up get infected
with a new disease? New prisoners.
The warning from this talk was that, yes, Black people can
get it but, the media has only been showcasing White
suffering. Also, Blacks and Latinos disproportionately
suffer from asthma because these communities are dumping
grounds for environmental waste and contain numerous bus
depots. I always know I am near a bus depot in my area
because I can smell the fumes from running buses a few
blocks from the location.
People with asthma, high blood pressure, or diabetes are
susceptible to succumbing to COVID-19, which are mostly
people of African-descent. This COVID-19 pandemic has
exposed the same disparities between rich and poor in
America. Plus, medical treatment for these maladies in these
communities is often inadequate.
And as usual rich Whites realize that they cannot completely
insulate themselves from it. Once again, America, the most
"powerful" country in the world is proving to be inept at
caring for its people.
Then, I had to click off Diddy's event because I was hearing
very few solutions!
Before celebrities and rich people started testing positive
for COVID-19 the course of action was to allow the weaker
links, mainly the elderly, to simply die out. Some people
believe that Darwin's Theory of Evolution is rooted in White
Supremacy.
Singapore handled SARS and contained it within 4 months in
2003. They have since implemented the same successful
measure in dealing with COVID-19.
The thought of the USA implementing the same measures,
listed below, is laughable and frightening at the same
time:
They trained general physicians to recognize COVID-19 and
treat those cases.
Testing everyone is not feasible so they have reserved
testing for respiratory cases.
The government is paying for all testing as well as 5 day
sick leaves for those who tested positive.
Only those who tested positive and those coming from
countries with COVID-19 outbreaks were quarantined. Not hose
who have been in close contact with a COVID-19 patient.
The government is paying self-employed people $75 daily
during their quarantine.
These measures lessen burdens on health care workers and
financial burdens of those being quarantined.
An anonymous emergency room doctor said that the U.S.
received warnings about the coronavirus for three months
before it took those warnings seriously. By the way, it was
believed that the coronavirus came from bats served at the
Huanan Seafood Wholesale Market in Wuhan but, there have
been cases involving people who never patronized that market.
Muslims need to take the necessary cleanliness guidelines
according to the Sunnah, pray, and seek advice from
non-political health experts offering solutions. Now, health
experts are recommending the wearing of masks, especially
when you are in close quarters with strangers. In New York,
that is still necessary.

April 6. WASHINGTON — The Supreme Court is declining
to take the case of a 1960s black militant formerly known as
H. Rap Brown who is in prison for killing a Georgia

As is usual, the justices didn't comment Monday in turning
away Brown's case. Brown had argued his constitutional
rights were violated at trial.
Brown converted to Islam and now goes by the name Jamil
Abdullah Al-Amin. He gained prominence more than 50 years
ago as a Black Panthers leader and was at one point the
chairman of the Student Nonviolent Coordinating
Committee.
In 2002, Al-Amin was convicted of murder in the death of
Fulton County sheriff's Deputy Ricky Kinchen and the
wounding of Kinchen's partner, Deputy Aldranon English. He
was sentenced to life in prison.

Dr. Aafia Siddiqui is still in a US prison.
Aafia's family has expressed great fear that she is being
kept n prison even while the corona virus is spreading.
Nadrat Siddique has found unique and creative ways of
spreading the word about the suffering of Aafia by wearing a
shirt with Aafia's name, in prominent marathon and
semi-marathon races where thousands of Americans
congregated.
In Pakistan, the name of Aafia has become a household name
connoting the injustice and oppression coming out of
America.
In March, one of Pakistan's most eloquent preachers, Khadim
Hussain Rizvi, urged Pakistanis to rise up and bring the
daughter of Pakistan home. He used powerful verses from the
poetry of Iqbal, the conceptual thinker who created
Pakistan, to drive home the tragedy of Aafia Siddiqui.
I begin by warning myself and yourselves not to be from
those who are
in a state of 'Ghaflah'~(غفلة) ...
'In Shaa Allah'
The Disease of Al Ghaflah.
The disease of 'Al-Ghaflah' to be in a state of neglecting
your duty to Allah
(Subhaanahu wa Ta'aala) is a disease that many, many
people,
unfortunately, of the Ummatul Islaam have fallen into.
It is to be in a state of forgetting the Day that you will
be questioned by
Allah (Subhaanahu wa Ta'aala).
The Day He will ask you for the big and the small, the good
and the
wrong, the Halaal and the Haraam, the correct and the
mistake -everything will be asked of you by Allah
(subhaanahu wa ta'aala).
Allah {Azza Wa Jall} says...
"Draws near for mankind their reckoning, while they turn
away in
heedlessness. Comes not unto them an admonition (a chapter
of the
Qur'an) from their Lord as a recent revelation but they
listen to it while
they play, with their hearts occupied (with evil
things).."
[Source~ 'Qur'an' Surat Al-Anbiyaa' (21) A # 1-3]
Many of the Muslim 'Ummah', they listen to the Qur'an and
their eyes will
never shed tears, not once, living their whole life
listening to the word of
Allah and not once in their life will they shed a tear from
the
fear of Allah. Muslims will live their whole life listening
to the
'Ahadeeth' and the 'Sunnah' of Prophet (Sallallaahu Alayhi
wa Sallam)
and their hearts are not moved:
'their hearts occupied' with other things' .
...But the actual danger is not that the heart is
preoccupied but the
danger is that there are people who know that they are
committing
mistakes: eating riba' ,not praying, they know they are
disobeying Allah
but then they look around themselves and they see that they
have cars,
they have wealth, a career, an education, a job, wife,
children
and he says all of this is 'Ni'mah' (a favour) therefore
Allah is pleased with
me but actually it is a test and trial from Allaah.
To be tested by being given from Allah's goodness is a
harder test
for you than for Allah to remove some of your goodness.
Because when you have wealth, when you have goodness all
around you,
you are blinded, you do not actually see that you are
committing sins
because you think that Allah is actually pleased with you
for giving
you money, for giving you wealth, for giving you a job,
in essence this is a greater trial than for Allah to take it
from you.
Read the words of Prophet (Sallallaahu Alayhi wa Sallam):
"If you see that Allah is giving a person everything that he
wishes
whilst you see that that same person is committing a
'Ma'siyah'
(disobedient act) know that Allah is gradually going to
bring him to punishment."
Allah is letting the rope go a little, until Allah cuts it
and then Allah
seizes it. Allah (Subhaanahu Wa Ta'aala) says explaining
this Sunnah:
'So, when they forgot (the warning) with which they had been
reminded,
We opened to them the gates of every (pleasant) thing,
until in the midst of their enjoyment in that which they
were given,
all of a sudden, We took them to punishment, and lo! They
were plunged
into destruction with deep regrets and sorrows."
[Source~ 'Qur'an' Surat Al-An'aam ~6 A #44]
And the Prophet (Sallallaahu Alayhi wa Sallam) said as
reported by
Abu Musaa al-Ash'aree (radiyallaahu anhu):
"Verily Allah, will give an oppressor time to keep
committing more
oppression until Allah seizes him and when Allah seizes
him,
he never lets him go"
Then Prophet (Sallallaahu Alayhi wa Sallam) recited:
"Such is the Seizure of your Lord when He seizes the
(population of)
towns while they are doing wrong.
Verily, His Seizure is painful, and severe"
[Source~ 'Qur'an' Surat Hud 11~ A#102]
He lets them go until they are in the middle of their
enjoyment and
then He brings them to punishment. And listen to the Words
Of Allah
where He describes the people of 'Ghaflah', what are their
characteristics,
what are their attitudes, what type of people are they ?
"And surely, We have created many of the Jinns and mankind
for Hell.
They have hearts wherewith they understand not, they have
eyes
wherewith they see not, and they have ears wherewith they
hear not
(the truth). They are like cattle, nay even more astray;
those!
They are the (ghafiloon) heedless ones."
[Source~ 'Qur'an' Surat Al-A'raf ~7 A #179]
...And you may ask how can a human being be less than an
animal?
have you not heard Allah (Subhaanahu wa Ta'aala) where He
said:
"See you not that to Allah prostrates whoever is in the
heavens and
whoever is on the earth, and the sun, and the moon, and the
stars, and
the mountains, and the trees, and Ad-Dawaab (moving living
creatures,
beasts, etc.), and many of mankind ? But there are many
(men) on whom
the punishment is justified. And whomsoever Allah
disgraces,
none can honor him. Verily! Allah does what He wills.."
[Source~ 'Qur'an' ~ Surat Al-Hajj ~22 ~ A #18]
So Allah is telling you the sun, the moon, the mountains,
the trees, the
animals and many of mankind are better than those who do not
submit to
Allah (Subhaanahu wa Ta'aala). Those who are deserving of
punishment,
and whoever Allah humiliates none shall give him honor..
Verily! Allah does what He wills. And you may ask
yourself:
eyes that do not see ? A heart that does not see ?
Allah (Subhaanahu wa Ta'aala) says:
"Verily, it is not the eyes that grow blind, but it is the
hearts which are in
the breasts that grow blind."
[Source~ 'Qur'an' Surat Al-Hajj~ 22 A #46]
The eyes can see but the actual sight that it should be
seeing is not
understood by the heart ...because the heart is not
comprehending
the blessing that Allah (Subhaanahu wa Ta'aala) has given
us.
The heart is not understanding at-Tawheed,
"Laa ilaaha illaa Allah, Muhammadur-Rasoolul-Laah".
It is not the eyes that grow blind:
"..but it is the hearts which are in the breasts that grow
blind..."
We ask ourselves: Why are we people who are in a state or
condition
where we are looking at the Islamic law or the orders of
Allah and His
Messenger as something light -it is not something important
-
it is not of much concern ?
YOU KNOW YET YOU DO NOT OBEY ???
Taking lightly the orders of Allaah (Subhaanahu wa
Ta'aala)
Yet at the same time if your boss ordered you to do
something
which is not in your job description ...
something which you do not have to do you would follow and
obey
your boss most likely you would obey your boss...!
Yet when Allah orders and forbids and the Messenger orders
and forbids you, then you do not obey them ???
"O you who believe! Do not put (yourselves) forward before
Allah
and His Messenger (Sallallaahu Alayhi wa Sallam), and fear
Allah.
Verily ! Allah is All-Hearing, All-Knowing.
[Source~ 'Qur'an' Surat Al-Hujuraat~ 49~ A #1]
O you who believe! Raise not your voices above the voice of the
Prophet (Sallallaahu Alayhi wa Sallam), nor speak aloud to him in talk as
you speak aloud to one another, lest your deeds may be rendered fruitless
while you perceive not."
[Source~ 'Qur'an' Surat Al-Hujuraat ~49~ A # 2]
Abdullah bin Az-Zubayr (radiyallaahu anhu) said...
"After that,'Umar (R.A.) voice was so low that the Messenger
of Allah
had to ask him to repeat what he said so that he could
understand
what he was saying to him.''
Imaam Ibnul-Qayyim (rahimahullaah) said...
"...if the 'Sahabah' were to have their voice louder than
the voice of
the Prophet (Sallallaahu alayhi wa Sallam) their good deeds
could be
wiped out what about when a person not just raises his voice
but puts his
intellect and opinions before the statements and actions of
the Messenger
of Allaah (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) ?"
And this is why Allah {Azza Wa Jall} says:
"It is not for a believer, man or woman, when Allah and His
Messenger
have decreed a matter that they should have any option in
their decision.
And whoever disobeys Allah and His Messenger, he has
indeed strayed in a plain error."
[Source~ 'Qur'an' Surat Al-Ahzaab~ 33~ A # 36]
So we ask again: Why are people taking the orders of Allah
and His
messenger lightly ? There is one main reason and that is
that they have
forgotten the purpose of creation. The Muslims have
forgotten why
they are here. Why they are allowed to walk on the face of
the earth
by Allah (Subhaanahu wa Ta'aala)...???
Why they are allowed to breathe, go to work, go to
school.
And that is the true reason, the true calling of Islam ,
a single 'Ayah' from the Qur'an where... Allah (Subhaanahuwa
Ta'aala)
says: "And I (Allaah) created not the jinns and humans
except they should worship Me (Alone)."
[Source~ 'Qur'an' Surat ~Adh-Dhaariyaat ~51~ A # 56]
This is your reason for being on this earth !
it is not to fulfill your lusts or desires or to attain
goals that are
un islamic, it is to worship Allah (Subhaanahu wa
Ta'aala).
But do not think that this means that you do not need to go
to school
or work. Allah has not sent this 'Qur'an' to make thing
difficult for us.
Allah {Azza Wa Jall} says:
"Taa Haa. We have not sent down the Qur'an unto you
(O Muhammad Sallallaahu Alayhi wa Sallam) to cause you
distress,
But only as a Reminder to those who fear (Allah)."
[Source~ 'Qur'an' ~Surat Taa Haa ~20 A #1-2]
Allah has not sent this Qur'an to make things difficult for
us.
Islam does not prohibit any individual from attaining wealth
and richness
you just have to answer two (2)questions:
#1/~Where did you earn your money: Halaal or Haraam?
and...
#2/~How did you spend it: Halaal or Haraam? (two simple
questions)
Do not think that you have to become a hermit just praying
to Allah,
reciting Qur'an and just hope for the 'Rizq' to come to you
!
Rather your 'Ibadah' is to be a fully functioning person in
society
while worshiping Allah.
We ask ourselves what is the cure to our heedlessness?
It is to firstly know the reason of your creation. Ask
yourself, scrutinize
yourself, analyse your life:
Are you living for al-Ibadah or for ad-Dunya?
Secondly, remove yourself from anyone who is bringing you
to the state of Al Ghaflah ...eliminate them from your life
because you are
someone who carries the passport of 'Laa ilaaha illaah
Allaah,
Muhammadur-Rasoolul-laah' you cannot have stamped on it the
visa of
disobedience to Allah. Thirdly, you must repent for what you
have done of
disobedience to Allah ! you can't just walk away from your
disobedience
and simply just start over by doing nothing .. you have to
make 'Tawba',
fulfilling the Shurootut Tawba (the conditions of
Tawba).
And fourthly, a Hadeeth and that is the advice of the
Prophet (Sallallaahu
Alayhi wa Sallam) to Mu'aadh Ibn Jabal (radiyallaahu anhu)
and in turn
all of mankind and the jinn: to "Fear Allah wherever you may
be"(whether
in seclusion or public.) We ask Allah (Subhaanahu wa
Ta'aala) to protect
us from being 'Al-Ghafiloon' and to make us from His sincere
worshiping
slaves . [Allaah Humma Aameen]

TURN AWAY IN HEEDLESSNESS"

Hadith of the Week
Narrated by Abu Huraira : The Prophet said, "Faith (Belief)
consists of more than sixty branches (i.e. parts). And Haya
(This term "Haya" covers a large number of concepts which
are to be taken together; amongst them are self respect,
modesty, bashfulness, and scruple, etc.) is a part of faith."

Jamaat Ameer recalls the historic contribution of Shaheed
Muhammad Kamaruzzaman in the Islamic movement
Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami's Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman has
issued the following statement on 11 April 2020 recalling
the contribution and sacrifice of Jamaat-e-Islami's former
Assistant Secretary General, noted journalist, politician,
intellectual and author of Muhammad Kamaruzzaman and also
praying to Allah for accepting him as a martyr.
Muhammad Kamaruzzaman was sentenced to death in connection
with a political case. Different platforms from home and
abroad protested the sentence. United Nations, United States
of America, United Kingdom and various other countries and
human rights watchdogs also urged the Bangladeshi government
to halt his execution process. But refuting and ignoring
those calls, he was executed on this day (11 April) of 2015
at 10.30pm.
Muhammad Kamaruzzaman was involved with the Islamic movement
since his student life. Along with his political activities,
he also made significant contribution as an author,
journalist and researcher. He wrote and translated various
quality books. His writings and articles will inspire the
leaders and activists of the Islamic movement and the
countrymen for so many years. Besides, he will be remembered
for his dynamic role in establishing democracy, rule of law,
justice, human rights and voting rights of the people in
this country.
I am remembering him with great honor and respect. I pray to
Allah for the acceptance of his martyrdom. May Allah let his
family and relatives to follow his ideologies as well. I am
urging my fellow countrymen to take part in the Islamic
movement, that he has left for us.
CHINA
The two women's accounts offer a rare firsthand glimpse of
life for Muslims caught in China's crackdown. The country's
government has publicly portrayed the camps as "vocational
education and training centers," but classified Chinese
government documents obtained by the International
Consortium of Investigative Journalists depict them as
involuntary indoctrination centers with high watchtowers,
constant camera surveillance, harsh punishments and
dedicated police bases to prevent escapes.
Unsurprisingly, Israel has not heeded requests to safeguard
the health of Palestinian prisoners in its jails. Besides
recommending "precautionary measures", which are likely to
provide no protection in confined spaces, it seems that
Israel will persist with its medical neglect strategies,
which have resulted in Palestinian prisoners dying. Yet
again, there have not been, and nor are there likely to be,
any repercussions from the international community.
The initial appeal by the prisoners has been followed up
with a petition launched by the Palestinian Prisoners'
Society asking for international intervention. The petition
calls for the release of over 1,000 Palestinian prisoners
— the most vulnerable or susceptible to illness
— given that Israel routinely disregards the health
concerns and conditions of the people it puts behind
bars.
Two Israeli prison officers have already contracted the
coronavirus COVID-19, and a recently released Palestinian
prisoner has also tested positive, thus raising concerns
about the spread of the virus while Israel, true to its
extermination by stealth tactic, does nothing.
Appealing for urgent humanitarian action is unlikely to
prompt UN action against Israel. Bureaucratic statements and
recommendations have failed to put an end to Israeli
practices such as administrative detention — jailing
someone indefinitely with neither charge nor trial —
and the abuse of minors in prison; the deprivation of
rights, including family visits; and both timely and
appropriate medical attention.
The fear of medical neglect among prisoners is justified.
Since 1967, 222 Palestinian prisoners have died after Israel
refused treatment for life-threatening illnesses, including
cancer. If Israel deprives Palestinians of treatment for
illnesses which are not contagious, how will it act when
faced with the possibility of a pandemic spreading which has
the potential to wipe out the stalwarts of Palestinian
resistance to its military occupation?

AFRICA, OH MY AFRICA!
By Abdulkabir Oyemomi
The incidence of Covid 19 is for us to ruminate on number of
things and wag stronger in all ramifications:
We are supposed to have cleansed ourselves ,as individuals
,from dirt of sins and seek sincere repentance; we ought
have learned as a nation to be truly self dependent and gain
economic freedom; We ought to have ultimately grown our
spiritual uprightness and come to terms with reality of
weightlessness and unimportance of this Dunyah and take
things much more easily.
Time for Africa leaders to step up their reasoning faculties
and try flush away the dirt of Westernization in their
brains.
You can't be leaders of the black race and still think
precedents should be laid or instructions should be taken
from white supremacists all the time even when they see us
as good for nothing. Not at this trying time that nobody,
except Allah, can tell where we are heading to when we have
Covid 19 at the driver seat.
Let their problems be theirs and our problems ours while
each look for away to be off the hook.
Nigeria, especially, can't afford to be a sufferer of power
play between the self acclaimed super powers. You can't
continually place your reliance on these people and think
you'll ever be able to liberate us. ever!
Why is Jack Ma not donating to them in Italy and France? Why
is Bill Gates not helping America at this time? Why are
these people crying more than the bereaved?
Are you, Muhammadu Buhari, and others in your government
telling us your beautiful program of tacit indigenization
not worthwhile after all? Please know that this is a
defining moment for Nigeria particularly and Africa
generally, such that if we can wether this storm, we're set
to rule the world. Please let's make do of anything local
and step up the local contents policy.
I'm appalled that we're taking instructions from World
Health Organization exclusively now that her suggestions or
recommendation could not stop death incidences in Europe and
America.Or is it not this same WHO that is predicting
calamities in Africa in the wake of Covid 19 when it is
obvious that our government is leaving no stone unturned at
making sure this deadly disease is decimated?
This is our opportunity to be great in Africa economically;
we need to be careful of any help capable of destroying the
future of Africa.
This is not piece at disparaging world unity or promoting
unhealthy Nationalism at all as doing this would be against
the teaching of Islam. Rather, it is a call to African
leaders to protect their subjects against Neocolonialism and
self destruction by world leaders who are ready to gain
economic dominance at all costs.
