Male oriented narratives were corrected by Aisha, r.a., the
beloved wife of the Prophet, pbuh.
Narrated 'Aisha, r.a. : The things which annul the prayers
were mentioned before me. They said, "Prayer is annulled by
a dog, a donkey and a woman (if they pass in front of the
praying people)." I said, "You have made us (i.e. women)
dogs. I saw the Prophet praying while I used to lie in my
bed between him and the Qibla. Whenever I was in need of
something, I would slip away. for I disliked to face
him."

Mujahideen Defy Pakistan Army Operations. Attacks across the
country.
August 12
In Quetta, a martyrdom operator hit an army vehicle, killing
15 and injuring 32. At least 8 of those killed and some of
the wounded were troops. The explosion was so big that it
set the entire transportation hub on fire destroying a row
of vehicles.
The attack was carried out by Islamic State [IS]
fighters.
In Multan, IS has claimed the death of an ISI officer,
Pakistan's secret police, whose bullet ridden body has been
found.
August 10.
In Upper Dir, near the Afghan frontier, 4 Pakistan army men,
including a senior officer, were killed in a clashed with
mujahideen. Their attacker too was killed.
In Karachi, gunmen killed two policemen, one of them a
senior officer.
Earlier last month 4 policemen were killed and another 2 in
another attack.
Pamphlets left at the spot indicated the emergence of a new
group calling itself Ansar al-Sharia.
In Lahore, 46 people were injured in a bomb attack which set
on fire hundreds of bikes, motor cycles and cars. Later 2
gunmen were found and killed.

4-Page Document Given to 100 Muslims after Juma'.
Information which Major Media are Hiding from the Public.
On August 11, important information was given to 100 Muslims
after juma' salat.
The people were Arab Americans, Bangladeshis, Africans,
African Americans and a few Pakistanis.
The document was well received with expressions of thanks.
The only negative comment came from a secularized Pakistani
who said:
"You are still doing this!"
Readers might remember that last year another Pakistani, a
supporter of CAIR, threatened to call Homeland Security on
us!
Here is an outline of the 4-page document given to 100
Muslims today:
American people are not our enemies, CAIR spreads fear
and suspicion on isolated incidents.
Cameroon regime using torture on Muslims falsely accused
of being Boko Haram supporters.
US military is arming and funding Cameroon regime against
Muslims.
Genocide in Mosul. Gulen subverting Turkey. Fighting in
Syria and Philippines.
Palestinians are not Anti-Semitic
[Jamaat al-Muslimeen Statement.]
A small Jewish population has always existed in
Palestine.
The problem has been created by the Zionist movement which
uprooted 7,500,000 Palestinians from the homes and replaced
them with jews.
Israel wants to extinguish the small pieces of Palestinian
land which still exist in the West Bank and Gaza.
Israel continues wih its activities of occupation and
terrorism because of open ended and unquestioning support
from America.
Israelis should go back where they came from and the
Palestinians should return to their homes.
America is using Israel to control and subjugate the Middle
East.
Kashmir
The entire country is in turmoil after 2 Indian troops and 3
mujahideen were killed in a clash.
The people went into a frenzy of protests, demonstrating,
blocking roads, shutting down businesses.
Kashmir is occupied by a huge Hindu army, the largest
occupation force in the world.
The population is unarmed and those who can use weapons to
fight back are very few.
When these heroic representatives of the people are killed
by India, each Kashmiri takes it as a personal tragedy.
India is quite slick in propaganda. It held "elections" in
Kashmir and installed a puppet "Muslim" government [not very
different from what USA has done in Iraq and NATO in
Afghanistan.]

Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
Capital City Revisited
by Sis. Ashira Naim in Ethiopia
Addis Ababa (translated: New Flower) wears many hats in
Ethiopia and in Africa in general. Here are a few:
The Capital City of Ethiopia
The Capital of the Continent of Africa
Most populated city in the Horn of Africa (3,384,569
(2007) with yearly growth rate of 3.8%)
Largest city of Ethiopia
Headquarters for OAU (Organization of African Unity) now
called African Union
Headquarters for United Nations Economic Commission for
Africa
With the descriptions above, it is easy to understand that
this City is the hub of commerce, import and export,
banking, developing pharmaceutical and research projects,
educational institutions, medical services, etc.
We have had several years of visiting Ethiopia and landing
first at Bole International Airport. Yet, it is amazing
still (to one who has been raised in the west with red,
yellow, green traffic lights and arrows pointing directions,
etc) to see traffic flowing with NO lights. We are talking
here about a lot of traffic including super large trucks, ,
private cars, taxis, buses, horse drawn wagons, sheep,
goats, donkeys, horses, bulls, and of course, pedestrians.
It has been speculated that the drivers are driving by
mental telepathy. This is the inner city of Addis. And
throughout this city you see men, women, and children
selling goods--some from storefronts and many with makeshift
stands, some carrying their goods for sale in their
hands.
In juxtaposition to the inner city traffic, there are new
highways constructed all along the routes from Addis to many
other cities and regions. These highways look just like
those in the USA with clearly marked lanes and exit signs
and no animals or pedestrians crossing into the traffic. And
the scenery is absolutely beautiful, clear skies, acacia
trees and mountains, accompanied by light breezes, animals
grazing in green pastures, farmers and farmland. Again, this
is Addis.
It saddens me to say that the prosperity and growth of the
City is not true for the lives of the people in general.
There is an increase of homeless boys on the streets and
poor men, women, and children of all faiths asking (begging)
for food. It is not uncommon to see a Muslim woman fully
dressed and sliding along the streets on a wooden board and
some without such a board but only with shoes on her hands
to pull her crippled body along the road as she begs for
help. This is a very humbling sight bringing both joy for
her acceptance of Islam and pain for her condition. Allahu
Alem.
Brothers and Sisters, this is the rainy season here in Addis
Ababa (raining almost every day). It's very cool, the
streets are flooded in many parts and there is plenty of mud
to travel through--for beggars and workers alike. Actually,
the wet, cold, and muddy conditions in Addis and most all of
Ethiopia during the rainy season effects everyone's life
because everyone has to come outside for various reasons.
None of this is new to these Ethiopians. The adaptability of
the human being is truly witnessed here. Regardless to what
happens, they "carry on." What can we do to help?
And Allah reminds us and warns us:
Al Baqara 2:177 "Righteousness is not that you turn your
faces toward the east or the west, but true righteousness is
in one who believes in Allah, the last day, the angels, the
Book, and the prophets and gives wealth, in spite of love
for it, to relatives, the orphans, the needy, the traveler,
those who ask for help, and for freeing slaves...."
(emphasis mine)
An Nur 24:22 "And let not those of grace and abundance swear
against giving to the poor...Do you not love that Allah
should forgive you? Allah is Forgiving, Merciful."
Our contributions (through Jamaat al Muslimeen) have been
exhausted. We have approximately 6 weeks more in Ethiopia.
If you are willing and able to make a contribution, please
do so. Inshallah, we will continue our work here each year.
We have gained support from helpers at 2 masajid here in
Adama, Ethiopia. Alhamdullilah. Basically, the condition of
the needy is the same in each town of Ethiopia. Help us to
brighten the day, even if just for a moment. Allahu
Alem.

"Blatant racist rally at the university of Virginia. Counter
rally and clashes. Motorist rammed counter protestors
killing one, injuring many others.. Emergency declared.
Looks like the evil of America is rearing to come out
openly. Both sides have figures from the past whom they
venerate. Without Islam this country has no solution."
"People often forget that millions of people voted for
Trump. This is America. Why are we shocked? However both
sides are white (mostly).
The problem cannot be solved by fighting in the streets
otherwise it would have been solved in the civil war when
tens of thousands of whites killed each other.
The solution comes from the Quran. Malcolm X understood
that.
None of these demonstrators or counterdemonstrators want our
prisoners to be freed. None of them oppose the bombing and
occupation of Muslim countries. None of them oppose Israel.
In fact the mayor of Charlottesville is a Jew while David
Duke supports Palestine. Life is not simple. Condemn racism
but also offer them the Quran. Not easy, is it?"
"Have a blessed night and day my fellow Americans, family
and friends. We have to figure this thing out because
there's no place else to go. We must protect and respect the
earth and show love and compassion for all inhabitants
therein. I don't know what makes any group of people so
violently angry to the point they are willing to kill. How
can you have an issue with someone you don't even know?
Inbred, mental illness, pure evil, call it what you will but
it must be contained, if for no other reason than our
children and grandchildren deserve so much more than this.
Sweet dreams to one and all. Tomorrow is another day to get
it right. (((MEGAHUGS)))"

Charlottesville, Virginia
Emergency Declared.
Racial Conflict Emerging at dangerous level
[courtesy aol.com] [August 12.]
Alt-right white nationalist protesters violently clashed
with counter-protesters on Saturday in Charlottesville,
Virginia, forcing local officials to declare a state of
emergency.
The "Unite the Right" demonstrators, with alt-right and
neo-Nazi leanings, first made waves late Friday night when
they marched on the campus grounds of the University of
Virginia in Charlottesville, wielding torches and chanting
Nazi slogans including "blood and soil."
The protesters and their opponents clashed again on Saturday
morning, ahead of a formal rally that had been scheduled to
start at noon to protest the removal of a statue of
Confederate General Robert E. Lee from Emancipation Park in
downtown Charlottesville.
Reports from the scene suggested protesters may have used
tear gas on counter-protesters and that members of both
sides threw water bottles at each other as they packed into
a local park where the rally was scheduled to occur.
Friday.
August 11. A group of white nationalists sparked outrage on
a college campus in Virginia on Friday after they marched
with torches across campus while chanting Nazi
expressions.
The demonstrators marched on the campus grounds at the
University of Virginia in Charlottesville late Friday as
precursor to a Saturday protest planned to publicly oppose
the removal of a statue of Confederate General Robert E.
Lee.
Marchers could be heard chanting slogans including "white
lives matter" and "you will not replace us." Others could be
heard chanting "blood and soil," a well-known Nazi rallying
cry. Police eventually declared the protest an unlawful
assembly and both protesters and counter protesters reported
being pepper sprayed.
Some videos captured at the scene appeared to show counter
protesters clashing with the white nationalists.
University of Virginia president Teresa A. Sullivan
condemned the protesters in a statement issued late Friday
night.
As President of the University of Virginia, I am deeply
saddened and disturbed by the hateful behavior displayed by
torch-bearing protestors that marched on our Grounds this
evening. I strongly condemn the unprovoked assault on
members of our community, including University personnel who
were attempting to maintain order.
Law enforcement continues to investigate the incident, and
it is my hope that any individuals responsible for criminal
acts are held accountable. The violence displayed on Grounds
is intolerable and is entirely inconsistent with the
University's values.
Charlottesville Mayor Mike Signer condemned the protest,
which he called as "cowardly parade of hatred, bigotry,
racism, and intolerance march down the lawns of the
architect of our Bill of Rights."
Former President Thomas Jefferson founded the University of
Virginia.
"Everyone has a right under the First Amendment to express
their opinion peaceably, so here's mine: not only as the
Mayor of Charlottesville, but as a UVA faculty member and
alumnus, I am beyond disgusted by this unsanctioned and
despicable display of visual intimidation on a college
campus," Signer said.
University Professor Larry Sabato, a well-known political
pundit who has taught at the school for years, described the
events as "nauseating."
"We need an exorcism on the Lawn," he added -- referencing
the area of campus where the protesters gathered.
Invitation to Think from Br.Robert Solano
Riba [interest] is forbidden in Islam:
This is an important reason for Hatred of
"Sharia Law" coming from Capitalists.
We live in a society where it is almost impossible to enjoy
any of its cultural and economic benefits without getting
involved with Riba in one way or another. Some define riba
as "unjustified increment in borrowing or lending money,
paid in kind or in money above the amount of loan, as a
condition imposed by the lender or voluntarily by the
borrower." Riba defined in this manner is called in fiqh
riba alpduyun (debt usury).
We all know that riba is a concept in Islamic banking that
refers to charged interest. Some in modern times have
interpreted it to mean to charge excessive interest or usury
and not a reasonable charge lending you use some commodity
let it be a machine or cash to buy the machine. The lender
is risking not getting paid pack any of the money lent and
that is why they have attempted to rationalized it.
Another word in Arabic is Gharar. It is associated with
uncertainty, deception and risk. Gharar is generally
prohibited under Islam, as there are strict rules in Islamic
finance against transactions that are highly uncertain or
that may cause any injustice or deceit against any of the
parties.
Islamic banking or Islamic finance or sharia compliant
finance is banking or financing activity that complies with
sharia (Islamic law) and its practical application through
the development of Islamic economics.
So we are getting closer to talking about the conflict
between Islam and the enemies of Islam. Lately there have
been a great deal of attacks against "Sharia Law" and the
need to prohibit it by law. Some of the local states in the
United States have passed laws "against Sharia Law" and
making it illegal to use it within their jurisdictions.
Under Jewish law a Jew can charge interest on a loan of a
non-Jew but not with a Jew. The Catholic Church for
centuries prohibited the use of riba by Christians or
non-Christians. This was abolished although the fathers of
the Church such as Saint Thomas Aquinas, the leading
scholastic theologian of the Roman Catholic Church, argued
charging of interest is wrong because it amounts to a
detestable act not only to man but also to Allah. Jews are
strong believers in charging riba of non-Jews.
Christianity has left it up to the State in modern time to
define Usury or interest in general. All see Sharia Law as
an enemy of the interests' laws. And that is why there is so
much hate of Sharia Law and so much propaganda trying to put
it out of existence. It's all about money, said my Jewish
friend.
Zionists millionaires have historically been the biggest
money lenders and there is talk that they still control the
industry and that is why they and Islam will never meet eye
to eye.

PAKISTAN
Pakistan Must Purify Itself.
Secular, westernizing lobbies are
undermining Independence.
by Ameer al-Azeem & Qaiser Sharif
LAHORE, Aug. 13; Ameer, Jamaat e Islami, Pakistan, Senator
Sirajul Haq, has said that Pakistan came into being on the
basis of Islamic ideology and the country and its ideology
would live till the Doomsday.
While greeting the nation on the Independence Day, he said
in his message that the living nations were always ready to
offer every sacrifice for safeguarding their
independence.
Sirajul Haq said that the defense of the country's
geographical borders as also its ideology was a part of
faith with our people. Unfortunately, he said, the Pakistani
rulers, who were mental slaves of the world colonialism,
were trying to demolish the Islamic identity of the country
and make it a secular, liberal state. However, he said, the
200 million people of Pakistan would foil all these
conspiracies.
The JI chief said that after his disqualification, Nawaz
Sharif had become active to abolish the articles 62 and 63
of the constitution. He said that the 1973 constitution was
a unanimously adopted constitution and its Islamic articles
were a solid foundation for national unity but some people
had ganged up to demolish these foundations. He said it was
the duty of the nation to protect the constitution in order
to keep the dishonest people and the liars away from the
assemblies.
He said the Muslims of the sub continent had offered
unprecedented sacrifices for the establishment of Pakistan
and a similar national movement was necessary for
safeguarding the constitution and for building it into a
truly Islamic welfare state.
LAHORE, Aug. 13; Secretary General, Jamaat e Islami, Liaqat
Baloch, has said that the nation had struggled for the
restoration of the judges and it would also fight for the
supremacy of the judiciary. He was addressing the
participants of the JI central workshop at Mansoora.
Liaqat Baloch said the whole world knew that Nawaz Sharif
had been disqualified but Nawaz Sharif was still going
around and questioning how had he been disqualified.
He said that Pakistan emerged as an independent state
seventy years ago but the Pakistani nation was still not
free from the clutches of the secular lobby loyal to the
British. Self centered rulers had deprived the masses of
their real freedom.
Liaqat Baloch said that freedom was a great blessing and
nations which did not value and protect their freedom were
doomed to fall into slavery.
He said that nature had blessed this country with abundant
resources. He said that China was a great and sincere friend
and the CPEC was a golden opportunity for development of the
entire region. However, he said the elite ruling the country
was in the habit of blindly obeying US dictation while
America was trying hard for the supremacy of India in the
region.
He reiterated the JI demand for spreading the accountability
net to all the plunderers and the recovery of their ill
gotten wealth.
Siraj visits house of killed child
Lahore, Aug. 13: Ameer, Jamaat e Islami, Pakistan, Senator
Sirajul Haq, has slated the callousness of the organizers of
the ousted Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif's rally who had left
the twelve year old child unattended after he was hit by
their car near Gujrat. He was talking to the media at
Lalamusa after visiting the house of the unfortunate child
on Sunday. He offered his condolences to the bereaved
family.
Sirajul Haq said that the death of the child after being hit
by the car on roadside was a tragedy but the greater tragedy
was that the participants of the rally did not bother to
shift the injured child to a hospital. He said this amply
reflected the mindset of the elite who did not consider the
poor as human beings.
He demanded that the responsibility of the child death be
fixed and the bereaved family be compensated fully.

Marawi City still under IS Control
It's day 83 but the commercial area of Marawi is
still under a small force of IS affiliates.
On August 11, a dozen young fighters slunk into the city by

Iranian-shia-Hizb forces suffer heavy losses. Ferocious
Clashes with Islamic State.
Russian Bombing of Damascus Suburbs.
American Bombing of Raqqa. SDF Advance Stalled.
[This segment covers news from August 7 to August 13.]
Latest.
August 12: A large regime force including its best overseas
helpers were moving rapidly towards the city of al-Sukhnah,
the last city controlled by IS in Homs province, when it was
slaughtered by a series of human bombers launched by IS.
SIXTY THREE regime troops were killed [including 14
officers.]
This is how the Syrian Observatory described it:
"63 at least including 14 officers, was the number of
members of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them of
Syrian, Lebanese, Iraqi, Iranian and Afghani nationalities
whose deaths was documented."
Al-Sukhnah came under heavy Russian bombing and Iranian
artillery fire. The IS declared that it was leaving the
city. It was a ruse.
Lebanese Hizb-Shia militias-Assad elites trying to move into
Raqqa province were stopped at the borders of the city of
Madan owing to stiff Islamic State resistance. Heavy bombing
by Russian jets and Assad helicopters enabled the regime to
advance to the villages near Madan but there the regime is
stalled.
The SDF [Kurdish Communist] forces with US air support were
much more successful. They broke into al-Raqqa city itself
and seemed to be rushing to victory. However they have been
brought to an abrupt halt by human bombers and snipers and
have not been able to move for the whole week despite US air
support which targets any IS movement.
Most of the civilian population has rapidly left al-Raqqa,
heading to countryside north of al-Raqqa and south to IS
territory.
An Alawite-Lebanese Hizb armored column moving from the Homs
province towards DEi ez Zor province came under Islamic
State five human bomber attacks. SOHR has documented 48
elite regime troops killed [including five officers] and
many more wounded.
So this advance towards the IS stronghold has fizzled out
though IS also lost 30 killed. [With no air force, tanks or
long range artillery available to it IS suffers heavily to
be able to fight back.]
Iraq
A Serious Setback for Pro-Iran Forces.
Masses of Shia troops moving to Tal Afar.
Stepped up US & Regime Air strikes.
August 9: Serious setback for Iran-backed heavily armed
Shi'ite militia occurred on the Iraq-Syria border. At least
68 troops were killed in mujahideen attack, many others
wounded. The Shias were had bypassed Tal Afar when the
mujahideen hit them late at night in the desert. The regime
tried to cover up with disinformation but now videos have
come out showing the force's vehicles burning.
[Videos of the attack issued by IS can be seen on Kurdistan
24 TV.]
Finally the Shi'ites admitted that it was a ground attack.
Looks like they did not know that mujahideen who left Mosul
are st...ill operational and hit them from behind. . Here is
the regime press release minimizing the losses:
"According to the deputy leader of Kattaib Sayeed Al
Shuhadaa, Ahmed Al Maksousi, they were hit by artillery fire
in Syria's Jamouna area, about 12 kilometres from the Iraqi
border.
He said the attack was launched from somewhere close to
Mosul, recently recaptured by Iraqi forces from the ISIL,
and was followed by an on-the-ground assault. Forty
militiamen were killed and at least 30 wounded, he said,
vowing, "This act will not go unpunished." '

American base set up just outside Tal Afar. 30 Tanks, 190 AV
[August 9]
Tal Afar (IraqiNews.com) U.S. forces have erected a military
base near Islamic State's last stronghold in Nineveh to
support imminent Iraqi operations to retake the area, an
army official said Wednesday.
Lit. Col. Mahdi al-Khafaji, an official in charge of heavy
machinery at the Iraqi army, told Anadolu Agency that the
establishment of the base came after consultations by U.S.
and Iraqi troops last Friday in Mosul.
Engineering teams are done with 50 percent of work at the
base, according to Khafaji, who revealed that special U.S.
troops and advisers had arrived to the site in armored
vehicles.
Col. Ahmed al-Jubouri, from the Iraqi Joint Operations
Command (JOC) told the agency that current works were
concentrated on preparing the runway for military aeroplanes
that are supposed to provide logistic backing for the
operations. He added that several JOC troops had arrived to
the facility, including nearly 30 tanks, 190 armored
vehicles, 100 tractors, 200 minesweepers and other
equipment.
Racist Shia incident against Black African. [July 25]
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) Sudan summoned late Monday the Iraqi
envoy in Khartoum to protest the abuse of one of its
citizens by Iraqi security members, the Sudanese foreign
ministry said.
Ministry spokesperson Qaribullah Khedr said Iraqi charge
d'affairs, Mohamed Samer, was informed of Sudan's protest to
the torture of an Iraqi citizen residing in Basra.
Social media users have recently shared a video on a wide
scale showing Iraqi police manhandling Mossa al-Bashir, a
Sudanese, in the southern Basra province. The man was
whacked, had his beard burned and his right leg broken.
Shortly before the incident, the man left hospital where he
was being treated for a gunshot he had sustained during
armed brawls.
GUIDANCE
Please convey my salaams to the Prophet
Sal Allaahu Alaiyhi wa Sallam
by Asma Bint Shameem
"Please convey my salaams to the Prophet (Sal Allaahu
Alaiyhi wa Sallam) when you go and visit Madeenah." That's
what they said to me as I was leaving for Hajj this year.
Some even said, "Take my name personally and say so-and-so
has sent you the salaams, O Prophet of Allaah."
And it wasn't just a few who requested this. Many, many
people asked me to do so.
I also know that it was out of sheer love and utmost respect
for the Prophet (Sal Allaahu Alaiyhi wa Sallam) that they
said this.
But my dear brother/sister in Islaam, I have to tell you
that this is an action that is not prescribed in the
Sharee'ah.
Now, I am not saying that sending blessings and salaams on
the Prophet (Sal Allaahu Alaiyhi wa Sallam)itself is bad.
Surely it is one of the best and most virtuous of deeds and
one of the most beloved of deeds to Allaah and of course, we
should send salaams on the Prophet (Sal Allaahu Alaiyhi wa
Sallam) all the time, as much as we can. And Allaah will
send blessings on you in return tenfold. That is surely
good.
What is wrong is telling a person traveling to Madeenah to
convey your salaams to him (Sal Allaahu Alaiyhi wa Sallam).
Did you know that your salaams will reach him (Sal Allaahu
Alaiyhi wa Sallam) no matter where you are, whether you are
standing in front of his grave in Madeenah or you are
thousands of miles away in the U.S.?
The Prophet (Sal Allaahu Alaiyhi wa Sallam) said:
"Send blessings upon me for your greeting will reach me no
matter where you are." (Abu Dawood--saheeh by al-Albaani)
And he (Sal Allaahu Alaiyhi wa Sallam) said: "Allaah has
angels who go around on earth, conveying to me the salaam of
my ummah." (al-Nasaa'i--saheeh by al-Albaani)
So, it doesn't really matter whether you are in the privacy
of your home or in the midst of the market place, or if you
are a bedouin living in Madeenah or an astronaut flying in
space. If you send salaams on the Prophet (Sal Allaahu
Alaiyhi wa Sallam), he will receive them.
Besides, wouldn't you like to send your salaams personally
to the Prophet (Sal Allaahu Alaiyhi wa Sallam) instead of
sending it through somebody who may forget? Or he may not
convey the salaams with that love and respect you would like
him to?
Think about it.
When someone really special is coming, you would surely want
to go meet him personally rather than just sending somebody
else on your behalf, right?
Then, wouldn't you want the angels to convey your special
and personal salaams to him?
And who is a better and more trustworthy carrier than the
angels?
How do we know it is wrong?
We know it is wrong because it was not the practice of the
Sahaabah or the righteous people after them to convey the
salaams of each other at the grave of the Prophet (Sal
Allaahu Alaiyhi wa Sallam) every time one of them visited
Madeenah. If it was something good, surely, the Prophet (Sal
Allaahu Alaiyhi wa Sallam)would have taught the Sahaabah to
do that or he would have given us instructions to do so. But
the fact of the matter is that he (Sal Allaahu Alaiyhi wa
Sallam) instructed us to do quite the opposite.
He (Sal Allaahu Alaiyhi wa Sallam) said, "Do not take my
grave as a place of festivity (which you visit repeatedly).
Send blessings upon me for your greeting will reach me no
matter where you are." (Abu Dawood)
Shaykh Ibn 'Uthaymeen said: "If you send salaam upon him
(Sal Allaahu Alaiyhi wa Sallam) from the farthest ends of
the earth, your salaam will reach him, because Allaah has
appointed angels who travel about the earth, and if anyone
sends salaams upon the Messenger (Sal Allaahu Alaiyhi wa
Sallam), they convey that salaam to the Messenger (Sal
Allaahu Alaiyhi wa Sallam). So if we say now, "O Allaah,
send blessings and peace upon the Messenger of Allaah," our
salaam will be transmitted to him. In prayer we say,
"Al-salaamu 'alayka ayyuha'l-nabiyyu wa rahmat-Allaahi wa
barakaatuhu (Peace be upon you, O Prophet, and the mercy of
Allaah and His blessings)," and the salaam is transmitted to
him... "
Shaykh 'Abd al-Rahmaan ibn Naasir al-Barraak, a member of
faculty in the Imam Muhammad ibn Sa'ood Islamic University,
said: "There is no basis for sending salaams to the Prophet
(Sal Allaahu Alaiyhi wa Sallam) with one who is traveling to
Madeenah. It was not the habit of the righteous salaf of the
Sahaabah (may Allaah be pleased with them), Taabi'een or
scholars to send salaams in this manner, and no such thing
has been narrated...."
Shaikh Ibn Baaz said: "Based on this, sending salaams to the
Prophet (Sal Allaahu Alaiyhi wa Sallam) as an act or worship
is an innovation (bid'ah). In fact it is not prescribed to
send salaam to anyone who is deceased, rather salaams are to
be said to the dead by one who visits him (his
grave)..."
(Majmoo' Fataawa al-Shaykh Ibn Baaz, 23/416, 417)
We need to realize, my dear brother/sister, that sending
blessings and peace upon our Prophet (Sal Allaahu Alaiyhi wa
Sallam is one of the noblest acts of worship and obedience,
yet out of His Great Mercy and Immense Bounties, Allaah
Subhaanahu wa Ta'ala has made it so easy for us to do so,
whenever we want, and to do that a great deal, from any spot
on earth.
So take advantage of that blessing and make the most of this
Mercy. And next time, when you want to send your salaams and
blessings on your beloved Prophet (Sal Allaahu Alaiyhi wa
Sallam), don't wait for anyone going to Madeenah.
Just say Allaahumma Salli 'ala Muhammad from the bottom of
your heart.....with utter love and devotion....and the
angels will be honored to carry this piece of love to him
and convey your salaams to him and he will surely receive
it. Guaranteed
