Obituary: [A great man: A great writer in Urdu- says Editor New Trend]
Founder of Independent Pakistani Journalism, Majid Nizami Passes away.
by Mohammed Anwar [Lahore]

My boss, respected Mr. Majid Nizami, Chief Editor, Nawa-i-Waqt Group died today i.e. 27th Ramazan (26th July 2014). May Allah rest his soul in eternal peace and bestow him Jannat-ul-Firdous. Ameen.

I request every Facebook user Muslim to pray for the departed soul of Mr. Majid Nizami. Jazak Allah

On July 25, Jamaate Islami Pakistan organized rallies in major Pakistani cities to support Gaza and condemn Israel. The new ameer Sirajul Haq urged the UN to declared Israel a terrorist entity. He called for a declaration of jihad globally against Israel. He called on Muslim oil rich countries to withdraw funds from US banks if it continues supporting Israel. Breaking News:

July 27: Israel renewed its assault on Gaza after a 12 hour break.

Imam Badi Ali Calls on Muslims to fulfill their Obligation to Gaza.

On July 25, Imam Badi Ali led a third rally for Gaza in Greensboro, North Carolina. Not only was it well attended, the North Carolina media saw all the facebook and related information coming out of the three rallies and realized that the masses are with Gaza.

Here are the points made to New Trend just now [July 27] by Imam Badi Ali:
  1. Helping Gaza is not optional for Muslims but an obligation. It's not a favor but a duty. Masjid al-Aqsa is there. Genocide of Muslims is in progress. Innocents are being slaughtered by the powerful, ruthless, Zionist military machine,

  2. People ask how can we help Gaza. The answer is that Allah made Adam the Khalifa fil ard [vicegerent on earth]. He gave us the responsibility . It is our task to fulfill the responsibility and to find solutions. Don't wait to be told.

  3. Large demonstrations have taken place in the West Bank and the Israelis have killed 6 demonstrators. But one big demonstration is not enough in West Bank. We are one nation. Gaza has put its blood and its children on the line. West Bank can't just demonstrate and go home as if they have done their duty.

  4. In America, our battle is with Zionism, a savage, racist cult. Jamaat al-Muslimeen and others have taken the lead to defeat Zionism on the social media. We must make people aware of the blood of the innocents shed by the Zionists. Make it real. Work harder on the social media.

  5. Look at our children in Gaza. How strong they are though surrounded by death and destruction. We have the Qur'an and the Sunnah and we are proving our allegiance to Allah with our blood. Honor the martyrs of Gaza. Honor the truth of Qur'an and Sunnah.

  6. Why are many mosques silent? Why are we not challenging the emirates in the Gulf and the Saudis and Sissi and all the dictators and tyrants who are supporting the Zionists.

    1. Thank you dear Muslims for the demonstration in London at the Emirates Gulf embassy.

    2. We need fatwas against the corrupt rulers, the Sissis, the emiratis, the tyrants silent about Gaza. We hail the fatwa by Shaykh Muhammad ad-Dudui against the Gulf Emirates.

Dear brothers and sisters: the children of Gaza have given their blood. Ask yourself what you can give.

Rally for Gaza in Time Square, the Stronghold of Zionism

by Br. Abu Talib

I attended a rally and demonstration on Friday in Times Square for Palestine.

There were thousands of people from various communities especially Palestine and others.

We gave out cards on Palestine and also the New Trend to the People and also in the Mosque.

The chant was Palestine will be free and also lots of Palestine flags were flying high in the streets of Manhattan.

Crowds also went to Israel's Consulate.

We as Muslims must support our brothers who are suffering from the hand of the Zionists..

Other chants by the People were Zionism is Racism and the struggle continues.

So the Jamaat al-Muslimeen had a presence at this rally

Gaza: by Muhammad Hammadi
A Fitting Response to Israeli Propaganda which appears on US Media every day.

[New Trend comment: Excellent! Deserves widespread distribution! Best comment I've seen yet]:

"To the Zionist trolls who continue bringing up their top four most absurd arguments to justify these latest atrocities:
  1. "Hamas fired 1,394 rockets at Israel!"

How many rockets, missiles, tank shells, cluster bombs, white phosphorous bombs, bullets, cannons and grenades has Israel unleashed on the Palestinians? It's a sad situation and only reflective of the evident bias when you can count to the 3rd decimal point the number of Hamas projectiles but be completely clueless about Israel's arsenal.

  2. "Israel is defending itself. What would you do if someone was firing rockets at your country?!"

A: If I occupied a people, placed a crippling trade and economic embargo on them, placed them under siege, humiliated them daily via military and police checkpoints, controlled their water and electricity, constructed apartheid "Jewish-only roads", shot their children, bombed their schools, mosques and businsses, illegally seized their lands, destroyed their crops, demolished their homes, threw thousands of them in dungeons and treated them like sub-humans and they fired rockets at me - I would probably stop doing all of the above.

Secondly, Israel has been mass murdering the Palestinians for over 60 years - long before any rockets were fired and long before Hamas was even in existence. So this is nothing but a fallacy designed to deflect the reality of the situation and mislead others. Finally, Israel's indiscriminate use of heavy weaponry in civilian areas is a war crime, not self defense.

  3. "This is Hamas's fault, they use human shields. Israel doesn't target civilians!"

A: Excuse me, when you launch an unbridled, indiscriminate attack from warships, fighter jets, tanks, artillery and helicopters on a CIVILIAN AREA - what do you expect to find there - breakdancing hobbits? When you attack civilian areas, you kill civilians. It's not Advanced Chinese Mathematics.

Gaza is the most densley populated place on earth. It's an open air prison. So when Israel fires into these areas it is going to kill and maim people every time.

Secondly, according to the Israeli Human Rights group, Beit Selem which tracks both Israel and Palestinian deaths, dozens of children as young as 4 years old were killed with gunshot wounds to the HEAD AND CHEST. Not to mention the videos coming through showing snipers killing rescuers. Bombing ambulances and hospitals also has to be the most cowardly thing a military could do. So I'm afraid this "doesn't target civilians" statement doesn't hold up the facts.

  4. "Israel is the most moral and humane army in the world. Who else calls/texts people and drops leaflets warning them to evacuate before a pending attack?"

    I love this one.

"Please be notified in 5 minutes, we are going to destroy your home."

In other words, Israel publicly announces to thousands of civilians their full intent to perpetrate yet another war crime and you're asking us to somehow acknowledge this as some type of humane gesture? The gall.

How about a rapist or murderer "notify" their victims by sending them text messages/leaflets that they're coming shortly to rape and murder them - does it make it any less perverse? If this is the level of desperation Zionists and their sympathisers have stooped to, then it's little wonder public opinion is God willing, starting to turn against them.

    As for "evacuating"...

Have you seen a map of Gaza? If so, could you please explain to me where the Palestinians are supposed to "evacuate" to? To the north and east, they are blocked by Israeli walls and military checkpoints. To the south is Egypt's closed crossing thanks to Israel's slave, Sissy. To the west is the Mediterranean Sea. So what do they do, swim for it and hope they can make it to Cyprus or Turkey before Israel "defends itself" again and machine guns them all in the water?

Go to a UN shelter? Wait, they tried that already TWICE - once in Qana, Lebanon and once in Gaza a few years ago and Israel "defended itself" by bombing the shelters massacring a total of 352 civilians. Add to this, Israel's naval and air forces who have killed thousands of people are constantly patrolling the areas. They are surrounded from every imaginable direction and you sit from the comfort of your sofa sipping $8 coffee then froth at the mouth demanding they evacuate.

Have a nice day. "

Two items from Sis. Aisha [Jamaat al-Muslimeen New York city.]
Rebuttal of NY Times Article on 12 Hour Cease Fire

Dear Michael R. Gordon:

Your article on the 12 hour cease-fire is more detailed than others I would read in local New York newspapers; however, it was missing key information about the reason for this conflict. The first mistake was to equate Hamas' retaliation to Israel's rockets. Every top weapon Israel owns was given to them by the United States government, while Hamas has obtained more inferior weaponry!

The issue between the Palestinians and the Israelis is that Palestine is under occupation by the Israelis. It was taken by force with the help of the American, French and British military. As far as the Palestinians are concerned there will always be conflict as long as Israelis continue to occupy and control Palestine. Your article makes no mention of the Israeli occupation being the reason for this conflict.

It is obvious that you believe that Israel is the legitimate entity and that the Palestinians are the rebble rousers. I came to this conclusion when I noticed your reference to Israel's military as "The Military."

This cease-fire is only 12 hours yet, Israeli-Occupiers still want to carry out the same activities that caused Hamas to feel threatened in the first place: Destruction of some tunnels. So, in essence, there really isn't a cease-fire. There would still be on-going military action on Israel's part.

Without knowing the ultimate reason behind this conflict and why there are Palestinian protests, readers will not get a deeper understanding of why these conflicts continue to occur.

Sincerely,
Aisha

New York City - On July 23rd, The Morton Williams Supermarkets k announced it is no longer selling items from the country of Turkey, effective immediately. This is in response to the Turkish government's recent boycott of Israeli products. Morton Williams is an upscale supermarket comprising of 11 stores. Note: I cannot believe that Muslim countries import ANY Israeli products!

Morton Sloan is the owner of Morton Williams Supermarkets. His family at one time owned 75 supermarkets under various names (Sloan's, Red Apple, Food City, etc...) at one time throughout New York City.

According to Morton Sloan: "Israel is the one true democracy in the Middle East trying to survive against hostile neighbors seeking its destruction. Turkey, by siding with those who would destroy Israel, deserves our condemnation. We will lift our own boycott of Turkish products when Erdogan changes his anti-Semitic course."

Morton Williams is one supermarket to boycott. The Sloan Family have since sold most of their other supermarkets to various corporations. (Story courtesy of CBSNewYork.com)

... What a difference a few years of developing technology can make. The Gaza atrocities are now being reported on a constant basis by eyewitnesses, be they professional correspondents representing major media organisations, or amateur locals under fire. Because all you need is a mobile phone and a Twitter account. It is those devices which brought us heart-rending images - some too horrific to be shown on television - of children with their limbs or half a head blown off. Children covered in shrapnel wounds screaming for dead parents; surviving parents carrying tiny bodies. Sights which caused the battle-hardened BBC correspondent Lyse Doucet to sob during a live broadcast.

US Foreign Policy -Wrong Side of History, Wrong Side of World Opinion.
What Americans need to Undertand!

By Dr. Wilmer J. Leon, III

"Israelis must acknowledge that just as Israel's right to exist cannot be denied, neither can Palestine's. The United States does not accept the legitimacy of continued Israeli settlements. This construction violates previous agreements and undermines efforts to achieve peace. It is time for these settlements to stop. Israel must also live up to its obligations to ensure that Palestinians can live, and work, and develop their society. And just as it devastates Palestinian families, the continuing humanitarian crisis in Gaza does not serve Israel's security; neither does the continuing lack of opportunity in the West Bank. Progress in the daily lives of the Palestinian people must be part of a road to peace, and Israel must take concrete steps to enable such progress." President Obama - Cairo 2009

A very interesting and powerful vote took place at the UN on Wednesday July 23. The UN Human Rights Council voted 29 to 1 to launch a commission of inquiry into alleged Israeli war crimes in Israel's Gaza offensive against the Palestinians. The lone dissenter in the vote was the United States. Nineteen countries, mostly European abstained. According to East Idaho News US State Department deputy spokesperson Marie Harf said, " the country (US) had no issue being the sole vote against the commission, adding that the U.S. will continue to stand up for Israel, "even if it means standing alone."

Very few if any mainstream American news outlets or sources reported on this damning vote. In the country where freedom of the press and an independent news media are supposed to carry the day, a biased misrepresentation of this ongoing conflict continues by omission and commission to distort American's perspectives on the Palestinian's ongoing struggle for autonomy and human rights.

An investigation into alleged war crimes is a very serious investigation. "War Crime" is defined as "a crime (as genocide or maltreatment of prisoners) committed during or in connection with war". The US government's blind and blanket support of Israel's acts of genocide against the Palestinian people will prove to be on the wrong side of history and judging by the latest UN vote, in conflict with the rest of the world.

Genocide is defined as "the deliberate and systematic destruction of a racial, political, or cultural group". According to Press TV , Ayelet Shaked an Israeli politician and parliament member of the ultra-nationalist Jewish Home party recently called for the slaughter of Palestinian mothers who give birth to "little snakes." They have to die and their houses should be demolished so that they cannot bear any more terrorists... are all our enemies and their blood should be on our hands. This also applies to the mothers of the dead terrorists." Shaked's comments accurately describe the actions being taken by the Israeli government. Reacting to Shaked's remarks, the Turkish premier, Recep Tayyip Erdogan said Israel's policy in Gaza is no different than Hitler's mentality.

Americans need to understand that the basis of Israel's attacks on and ethnic cleansing of the Palestinians is not security, its bigotry and racism. It is the bigotry, racism and oppression that make Israel less secure. Palestinians are forcibly resisting the oppression and genocide that the Israeli government is imposing upon them. In February 2014 the Israeli Knesset passed a bill that explicitly distinguishing between Muslim and Christian Palestinian citizens of Israel. Reports show that vast amounts of Israel's territory are restricted for the use of Jews only, often on lands expropriated from Palestinians. There, two separate legal systems; one for Jews and one for Arabs and a two-tier transportation system. There are separate roads in the West Bank that only Jews are allowed to drive on. These realities are not being reported on in mainstream American media.

President Obama was correct in 2009 when he stated that the US cannot accept the continued construction of "settlements" and Israel must ensure that Palestinians can develop their own society. However, for some reason the US continues to accept and encourage these atrocities. Contrary to the president's statements in 2009, the ongoing actions of his administration continue to allow Israel to violate international and US law, two of which are the U.S. Foreign Assistance and Arms Export Control Acts. Both of these make it illegal to export defense articles and/or services to any country unless they are used "solely for internal security" or "legitimate self-defense".

No one can reasonably argue that the asymmetrical nature of the Israeli incursion into Gaza is legitimate. Regardless of how many times Israeli PM Netanyahu says it is and no matter how many times President Obama says that "Israel has the right to defend itself", Israel's actions are illegal and immoral. According to 22 U.S. Code § 2304 - Human rights and security assistance - "no security assistance may be provided to any country the government of which engages in a consistent pattern of gross violations of internationally recognized human rights. Security assistance may not be provided to the police, domestic intelligence, or similar law enforcement forces of a country, and licenses may not be issued under the Export Administration Act of 1979 [50 App. U.S.C. 2401 et seq.]"

There is another issue surrounding these atrocities that must be addressed. The deafening silence of leadership within the African American community is unacceptable. The NAACP, the Congressional Black Caucus, and other organizations should be front-and-center in condemning the Israeli government's actions and the Obama administration's support and encouragement of them. Their arguments should be based upon the immoral basis Israel's actions, violations of US and international law, and that American taxpayer dollars should not go to a country that is engaging in ethnic cleansing. The African American community was vocal, active and on the right side of history regarding South Africa, but silent in Rwanda and Somalia. Our voices should be heard on this issue.

It is important to remember that while leadership within the African American community remains conspicuously silent regarding the Palestinian-Israeli issue, Israel supported the apartheid regime in South Africa. According to Professor Juan Cole, "The Israeli government had extremely warm relations with Apartheid South Africa, to the point where Tel Aviv offered the Afrikaners a nuclear weapon."

In his book Colin Powell and Condoleezza Rice Dr. Clarence Lusane writes, "...in the aftermath of WWII, one of the most significant developments in terms of race and U.S. Foreign policy was the emergence of a much stronger and vocal African American voice in U.S. foreign relations." Today, that voice is conspicuously absent from the narrative and innocent men, women and children continue to die because of it. Lusane wrote the following in the context of the rise of Powell and Rice and their promotion of US imperialism and hegemony but I believe that it also applies to the deafening silence referenced above, "For many around the world, it appears that a progressive black American foreign policy agenda and consensus, which has existed for centuries, has eroded if not disappeared altogether."

President Obama was awarded the Nobel Prize for Peace on the shoulders of Dr. Ralph Bunch (1950), ironically for his mediation of a conflict in Palestine in the late 1940's and the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. (1964). In his acceptance speech, President Obama said, "I receive this honor with deep gratitude and great humility. It is an award that speaks to our highest aspirations - that for all the cruelty and hardship of our world, we are not mere prisoners of fate. Our actions matter and can bend history in the direction of justice."

Mr. President, take action that reflects "our highest aspirations". Don't become a mere prisoner of fate or of Netyanyahu. Yes, our actions do matter and our inaction is resulting in great cruelty and hardship for the Palestinian people. We cannot stand for the slaughter of innocent men, women and children. Your administration's policy towards the Palestinians is on the wrong side of history and on the wrong side of world opinion.

Act Locally, Think Globally
Police Brutality in Baltimore True image of Oppression in America.
Tyrone West Anniversary Protest

By Nadrat Siddique
Special to the New Trend

July 18, 2014

Baltimore, MD -- Tyrone West was a tall, dreadlock-sporting Baltimore native who grew up on the city's east side. He loved his family, sporty cars, and his artwork, and had a joie de vivre about him. On July 18, 2013, Tyrone's life was snuffed out, when he made one "wrong" maneuver in the vicinity of Kitmore and Kelway Road, not far from Morgan State University. Police noticed him driving under the speed limit as he went over a speed hump on a quiet side street (Kelway), and stopped him. They pulled him out of his vehicle, it is said, by the locks and started beating him. According to the States Attorney's report, they hit him with batons on the knees to get him down. However, eyewitnesses report far greater use of force, saying Tyrone was surrounded by a "sea of blue" and that police continued to punch and to kick him even after he was already down. When it was over, Tyrone lay dead. He had not been charged with a crime, arraigned, tried, or convicted. He was a victim of a police force of control and unaccountable to the People.

Ten to fifteen police officers, including a Morgan State University police officer, were identified as participating in the murder. None of them was suspended or fired. The States Attorney Gregg Bernstein, known for his racially predicated prosecutions--and withholding of prosecutions--did a perfunctory investigation and found the officers had acted according to police protocol. Despite a plethora of eyewitness testimony supporting the view that excess force had been used against Tyrone, not a single indictment of a police officer was handed down in the case, leading many to surmise that the police were above the law in Baltimore (as in many other major cities). When Bernstein was unseated in the subsequent election by a relatively underfunded and lesser known challeger, many said the West case had been a determining factor--one one-sided prosecution too many. In the meantime, Tyrone's murder still went unprosecuted and the medical examiner's office continued to withhold the complete autopsy report.

On the one-year anniversary of Tyrone's murder, activists and supporters of the West family rallied at the site of the murder. The event was called by the family and facilitated by a local grassroots collective called the Baltimore Bloc. The activists included young and old; Muslim, Christian, Jew, and atheist; Black American, Asian, African, Caucasian, and Native American; students, blue-collar workers, health care workers, attorneys, candidates for office, and even a delegate.

The candidates included David Anthony Wiggins (Baltimore City Sheriff candidate, running on a platform against police brutality and judicial corruption, and for the empowerment of the People); Russell Neverdon, Sr., (candidate for States Attorney); and Duane G. Davis (candidate for Lieutenant Governor). Wiggins, Neverdon, and Del. Jill P. Carter (Maryland House of Delegates) spoke, expressing solidarity with the family.

Wiggins promised that when elected Sheriff, he would prosecute police engaging in abuses such as that against Tyrone West, as this was a power endowed to the Sheriff (Editor's note: Sadly, the standing Sheriff, Anderson, in office for decades, has never employed it in defense of his constituents, who, like West, are brutalized by police or otherwise abused by corrupt government officials).

Several Christian preachers, including Baltimore's social conscience Rev. Heber Brown III (Pleasant Hope Baptist Church), Rev. Kinji Scott, and Rev. C.D. Witherspoon, were present. Masjid Jamaat al-Muslimeen, in Baltimore's Govens neighborhood, sent its imam, Dr. Kaukab Siddique, mosque administrator Ashira Na'im, and a contingent of half a dozen others to "stand with the family of Tyrone West and all victims of police brutality." Red Emmas', a well known Peoples' bookstore, was also well represented at the event.

Baltimore native Abdul Salaam, a Muslim, was beaten by police in a manner very similar to Tyrone West just 17 days prior to the latter's murder. Salaam, a soft-spoken, slightly built man, addressed the crowd briefly. He described how he had passed police conducting a stop near his home. The cops followed him home, pulled him out of his car, and attacked and beat him in his own driveway, in front of his 3-year old child. They claimed he was not wearing a seat belt (he has steadfastly maintained that he was wearing one). Salaam was body slammed to the ground twice at the start of the attack, hogtied (with his hands and feet behind his back), and beat further. He was never charged with a crime.

He eventually ran across the West family at one of their weekly protests, dubbed "West Wednesday," and was shocked to find the similarities between their story and his. Most alarming was the fact that the two police officers who beat him--Chapman and Ruiz--were among those who had participated in the murder of Tyrone West. Both families were befuddled as to why the officers had been allowed to continue on the police force after attacking Abdul Salaam. If normal judicial procedure had been followed, they would have been removed after the attack on Abdul Salaam, and hence been unable to participate in the attack on Tyrone West. Abdul Salaam and the West family have since joined forces and filed a civil suit against the police.

Initially torn by whether or not to hold the event at the very spot where the murder occurred, with all its horrific associations, the West family eventually decided to proceed with it. Despite the emotional toll involved, the family felt they owed it to Tyrone to come together at the very spot where a completely gratuitous act of savagery took his innocent life. They released black balloons, shared Tyrone's beautiful art, received messages of solidarity, said prayers, and marched. They left just before sunset with the awareness that their beloved Tyrone had not been forgotten.

Boston case:
Muslims are Poorly Defended & Easily Proven Guilty by Association.
Azamat Tazhayakov found guilty of tossing backpack

Karin Friedemann

Even though Azamat's lawyers argued that it was his friend, Dias Kadyrbayev, who removed Dzhokhar Tsarnaev's backpack containing fireworks from his University of Massachusetts-Dartmouth dorm room, jurors on Monday, July 21, 2014 found Azamat Tazhayakov guilty of conspiracy and obstruction of justice. Azamat was however found not guilty regarding the laptop, which was also removed from Dzhokhar's dorm room and kept at Azamat and Dias' New Bedford home until it was handed over to the FBI. The jury agreed with prosecutors that both men shared in the decision to remove the items and get rid of them to hide evidence. Dias' trial will begin in early September. A third friend, Robel Phillipos, charged with lying to investigators, will be tried in late September. The seven men and five women on the jury deliberated for three days.

"My fellow jurors were 100 percent dedicated to doing our job," a juror told legal commentator David Frank, "and that was taking everything else out of consideration and focusing on just the law." The juror also mentioned that the jurors were at 11-1 in favor of guilt that morning before the lone holdout had a change of heart.

Azamat's defense, like most lawyers representing Muslim clients in the US, did not defend the innocence of their client as strenuously as they could have, because they relied on the Constitutional burden of proof being upon the government prosecutors. Traditionally, it is enough to show that the prosecution has a flimsy case.

However, when the defendant is a Muslim tied into a terror case, his innocence needs to be demonstrated to the jury, and sometimes social studies lessons by testifying experts for cultural context are even needed. None of this happened in Azamat's trial. Perhaps it didn't seem necessary because the government witnesses all made Azamat sound like the nicest guy in the world. Still, the defense relied too much on this intellectual subtlety.

"We were all shocked when the prosecution rested and the defense immediately rested," the juror said. "We were like, 'You're not going to put a defense on?' They didn't call a single character witness. Someone said, 'Who could they have called?' How about a professor? How about a neighbor? They called no one."

As the jury announced the verdicts, Azamat put his hands over his face and shook his head. His father, Ismagoulov remained stoic while his mother, Tuyrsynai sobbed loudly, rocking his little sister Almira. Azamat's parents fought hard for him to get a fair and speedy trial. They were in the courtroom at every hearing. His mother often nursed Almira under a shawl to keep her quiet.

According to reporter Kevin Cullen, "She grabbed their 2-year-old daughter, Almira, put her on her lap, then covered Almira with a brightly covered scarf, as if to shield her from what was about to happen... In that moment before the verdict was read, in that brief slice of silence, the tinny voice of Almira leaked from beneath the scarf: she was singing."

"Azamat's mother speaks no English, and her reaction was delayed, as she listened to the translation. The translator's words spilled from her headset and she bent forward, as if she'd been punched. She dropped the scarf, and Almira stared up, uncomprehending.

Tuyrsynai rocked back and forth, keening. Almira climbed down and grabbed the headset her mother had dropped. She put the headset on, as if it would help her understand what was making her mother cry. No longer a cloak, the scarf became a handkerchief, and Tuyrsynai daubed her eyes. 'Mama,' Almira said, looking up, smiling. Her innocence stood in stark, striking contrast to what the jury just decided her brother had done."

Tazhayakov faces a possible 20-year prison sentence for obstruction of justice and a five-year maximum for conspiracy but the defense will ask for time served, which would be 1 1/2 years by the time of sentencing, which is scheduled for October 16, 2014.

The jury may have been influenced by a surveillance video taken the day after the Boston Marathon bombings, which shows Azamat walking with Dzhokhar into the student gym and exiting later. They both appear relaxed and acting normal. However, the video when released to the public received harsh reviews from outraged people assuming the guilt of the bombing suspect, accusing Dzhokhar of having a "smirk" on his face. The intent of the video was to demonstrate his friendship with Azamat.

"Aza is a good kid and he has no priors. I expect the friends will all have to serve some time. They all committed crimes and there is no way around that. Even if they are only found guilty of lesser charges, they are legit charges. So pray for his family. Send him kind, comforting words. And be patient," urged an anonymous friend.

One of Azamat's lawyers, Nicholas Wooldridge, said he will ask the judge to sentence his client to time served. He suggested to the media that the jurors were under pressure to render a verdict against Azamat.

Pakistan
One Million People Ejected by Pakistani Military are suffering:
Islamic leader rejects regime Propaganda that they are being cared for.

LAHORE, July 24: Ameer, Jamaat e Islami, Pakistan, Sirajul Haq, has said that the revelations about the notorious NRO adopted during the PPP rule made it clear that the country's affairs were decided not at home but in Washington and New Work.

Talking to the media at Mansoora Thursday, he said that the PPP and the PML were two sides of the same coin and were competing with each other in US slavery.

To a question about PTI rally on the Independence Day, he said he believed that Imran Khan did not want an end of democracy. He was also sure there wont be martial law in the country again as no army chief would dare to take over while the country was confronted with numerous problems. However, he said the US considered this country as its 51 state and the statements from some US officials about military rule could indicate there was something wrong some here.

While condemning Israel's continued bombings in Gaza, the JI chief appealed to the Arab world to pull out its wealth lying in American banks and use its petrol as a weapon in order to stop US from supporting the Zionist state's hostilities against the Palestinians. He appealed to the people to join the protest rallies being staged by the JI tomorrow to express solidarity with the Palestinians. He urged the people to extend all out moral and financial support for their Palestinian brethren.

He said it was PTI's democratic right to stage a rally on the Independence Day. He said JI and some other parties also supported Imran Khan's demand that the elections should be free and transparent and the Election Commission should be autonomous and impartial. He said, had the government accepted Imran Khan's demand for recounting of votes in four NA constituencies, the situation would not have gone that far. However, he said, there should not be any ugly happening on the Independence Day.

The JI chief said that the IDPs issue was getting more and more serious. Around one million people had moved out from their homes in the present hot weather and their problems and difficulties could not be explained in words. He said the federal and the provincial governments had failed to handle the IDPs. He said the federal government should have made arrangements for such a large number of the IDPs.

Sirajul Haq also pointed out that more than one hundred thousand people had crossed over to Afghanistan where there were strong networks of anti- Pakistan agencies, RAW and Israel agencies. If these agencies were successful in winning over some of these people, the results would be disastrous, he added.

Asked about efforts for friendship with India, he said all talk in this respect was a fraud as both the governments fully realized that relations between the two states could not be normalized unless the Kashmir issue was solved.

India: Major Indian City in flames: Muslims fight back: July 27

Saharanpur remains tense after communal clashes, forces rushed
Saharanpur remains tense after communal clashes, forces rushed

NEW DELHI: Around 600 paramilitary force personnel have been sent to Uttar Pradesh by the Centre to maintain law and order situation in the state in the wake of violence in Saharanpur.

"Saharanpur is burning. The communal ambiance created by the elections has engulfed the whole nation. In Saharanpur it started after Sikhs tried to build a building on a disputed place. Sikhs and Muslims attacked each other's shops. It all happened very close to our house in Saharanpur. Dozens of shops have been burnt belonging top both communities, dozens of vehicles destroyed. The numbers confirmed 3 dead but my sources tell the figure is 7. It was all boiling since Muzaffarnagar riots last year, which is the adjacent town. In a country where communal riots bring political dividends, this will continue to happen. Next few months are crucial for the world as well as for India. May Allah restore peace! We planned to go to Saharanpur tomorrow to be able to celebrate Eid with our parents, but we have to cancel it." - Eye witness account [Via IMRC]

Heavy Fighting in Syria: 1100 of Assad's forces wiped out in 10 days.

On July 26, ISIS captured Syrian army base Division 17 north of Raqqa province near Turkey. At least 85 Syrian troops were killed, some of them beheaded for crimes against women. ISIS fighters have spread out in the countryside to evade Assad's air attacks.

Syrian Observatory for human rights has monitored the heavy losses Assad is now suffering. At least 1100 of his troops have been killed, in ten days, including regular army, Alawite militia, Hizbullah and Shias from Iraq. They were killed in numerous small battles all the way from Damascus to Aldeppo and inland in Homs and Hama.
The main fighters were from ISIS, al-Nusra and many smaller islamic groups.

Top Level Hearing of US Congress Against ISIS
by Kaukab Siddique

Determination to Destroy Islamic Caliphate physically & to Undermine its credibility

One of the longest foreign policy hearings of the US Congress, two and a half hours, was held in Washington, DC, on July 23. It was broadcast uncut a second time on C-Span on July 24.

Here are the main points of the hearing:
  1. Both Democrats and Republicans were unanimous in condemnation of ISIS. They see it as a threat not only Iraq and Syria but to the whole region and ultimately to the United States.

  2. The Republicans indulged in their usual blame game, accusing the Obama administration of not bombing ISIS when it was not so strong and the al-Maliki regime was urging the US to do so.

  3. Officials of the Obama administration rebutted the Republicans by pointing out that no one foresaw the landslide victory of ISIS and bombing requests from al-Maliki if accepted would have convinced Sunnis that the US is not their friend.

  4. ISIS is coming out of Syria and the situation in Syria is xso complicated that it would not wise for the US to intervene.

  5. Republicans also attacked Obama's withdrawal of American forces from Iraq. Democrats pointed out that large pro-Maliki forces had been trained and armed and seen as capable of fighting well before the US withdrew.

  6. Both sides mourned the fact that the ISIS attack on Mosul was so ferocious that FOUR DIVISIONS of the Iraqi army fled after suffering heavy casualties. They left behind the heavy weaponry which the US had provided them. These are now in the hands of ISIS.

  7. Both sides agreed that the declaration of the Islamic Caliphate and its leadership by al-Baghdadi is intolerable as is the ending of the borders between Iraq and Syria.

  8. Obama administration assured the Democrats and the Republicans that the US took immediate steps to put an end to ISIS advances. These are:

    1. Work on the Iraqi Sunnis to assure them of their rightful place in Iraq. This would take away public support from ISIS. Unfortunately al-Maliki is sectarian and this will be difficult.

    2. More than 700 US Special Forces were immediately brought to Baghdad to "advise" al-Maliki and to guard the US embassy. Some forces are also sent to Irbil [north east Iraq]..

    3. US carries out aerial surveillance of ISIS and the information is passed on to the Maliki regime which carries out air strikes, specially on Mosul. Tikrit and Fallujah.

    4. The al-Maliki regime attempt to take back Tikrit from ISIS was a complete failure after a week of fighting but attempts will continue.

  9. ISIS is attacking Christians, burning churches, telling Christians to accept Islam or be killed.

  10. Iran is very close to the al-Maliki government. This creates problems for the US. How to stop Iranian influence is an issue.

  11. The US supports the Iranian rebels known as MeK and these are cooped up in a camp in Iraq. Congress supports these elements who are known as terrorists in Iran.

New Trend response about ISIS and Christians in Iraq.

It is understandable that both sides in USA are united against the Caliphate and want to defeat ISIS. Throughout history, western powers have seen Caliphate as a threat and were relieved to see the end of the Ottoman caliphate.

It is understandable that borders were created in the Muslim world by western powers. ISIS ending the borders is seen as an end to western hegemony and naturally will be opposed by the West.

The only issue which needs to be clarified is that of the Christians. Delegates connected to the Christians seem to have misinformed the US government and have tried to inflame US public opinion.

Mosul and other parts of Iraq have been CONQUERED by Isis. ISIS has not done any harm to the people of the land it has conquered. Compare with what the western powers did when they conquered Germany and Japan. EVERY German woman, from 8 to 80 was raped. Millions of Germans were put into concentration camps and allowed to get sick and die. Hundreds of German troops,SS and others, held as prisoners were simply executed.

In Japan, the situation was so bad that the Japanese organized their OWN women in groups to be offered for sex to US troops to avoid random and mass rape by the conquerors.

Look at Iraq itself: US forces wiped out entire towns and then rebuilt them to allow back citizens with US permission. Mosques were desecrated. Remember the photos we published of US troops camping in a mosque in full gear? Tens of thousands of young Iraqis were rounded up and imprisoned indefinitely. Rape was common. Abeer and her family were raped and burned alive. And then think of Abu Ghraib which became a place of horrors seldom equaled in war history.

That's how western powers treat conquered people.

Has ISIS done any of that? Absolutely not!

The Christian informants [probably Zionist] probably deliberately left out what ISIS has offered to the Christian people of the conquered lands:
  1. Pay a tax called jizya [ordained in the Qur'an for conquered people]. Payment of the tax will safeguard your civil and human rights, including the sanctity of churches. [Americans should think: Can you live in America and refuse to pay taxes, if you are religious and the tax system is secular? Can you say, my religion does not include payment of these taxes? Absolutely not. You would be imprisoned even though you are not one of the conquered people.]

  2. Embrace Islam and you will become one of us.

  3. If you refuse both options, you'll have to leave. If you are in armed rebellion, you could be killed.
The Congressional hearing was told, ISIS says embrace Islam or be killed, which is simply not true. As the saying goes, you can have your opinions but you can't have your facts.

Iran's disinformation Campaign Against ISIS.
Mixing Snowden with anonymous "views" to make a baseless claim.

[We'll give first the disinformation which the Iranians and their conpiracy theorists published.]

It begins here.
"ISIS Leader Abu Bakr Al Baghdadi Trained by Israeli Mossad, NSA Documents Reveal
By Gulf Daily News
Global Research, July 16, 2014
Gulf Daily News
Region: Middle East & North Africa
Theme: Intelligence, US NATO War Agenda
 abu bakr al baghdadi
The former employee at US National Security Agency (NSA), Edward Snowden, has revealed that the British and American intelligence and the Mossad worked together to create the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS).

Snowden said intelligence services of three countries created a terrorist organisation that is able to attract all extremists of the world to one place, using a strategy called "the hornet's nest".

NSA documents refer to recent implementation of the hornet's nest to protect the Zionist entity by creating religious and Islamic slogans.

According to documents released by Snowden, "The only solution for the protection of the Jewish state "is to create an enemy near its borders".

Leaks revealed that ISIS leader and cleric Abu Bakr Al Baghdadi took intensive military training for a whole year in the hands of Mossad, besides courses in theology and the art of speech."
Iranian propaganda ends here.

Now New Trend breaks it down for its readers. The only complete alleged quote from Snowden is:
"The only solution for the protection of the Jewish state "is to create an enemy near its borders".'

Notice there is no quote from Snowden which mentions ISIS or Shaykh Baghdadi.

The only other quote, an incomplete fragment, is : "the hornet's nest"

Snowden has not mentioned ISIS or its leader. The headlines and subheads have been concocted by so called "Global research."

Look at the last sentence: "Leaks revealed..." It does not give any information and its final hate message is that Ali Baghdadi even learned to speak from the Israelis. [LOL!]

Dear readers , Iran and Hizbullah did NOTHING [zero] in the latest ongoing genocide in Gaza. They are busy defending Shi'ism and attacking the Islamic Caliphate.
