Supplicate Allah like the Prophet, pbuh, did: Hadith sent
by Sis. Aqsa
Al-Tirmidhi Hadith 2482 Narrated by Abu Hurayrah (May Allah be pleased
with him)
Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) used to say, " O Allah, grant me
benefit in what Thou hast taught me, teach me what will benefit me, and
increase my knowledge. Praise be to Allah in all circumstances. I seek
refuge in Allah from the state of those who go to Hell."
Tirmidhi and Ibn Majah transmitted it. Tirmidhi saying this is a
tradition whose isnad is gharib.
Transliteration:an Abi Hurairah (radiya Allahu anhu) qaal:
qaala Rasul Allah (salla Allahu alayhi wa sallam): "Allahumma
infa'ni bima 'allamtani, wa allimni maa yanfa'oni wa zidni 'ilman,
alhamdulillahi alaa kolli haal, wa a'odtho billahi min haali
ahlil naar."

is so unexpected for many naive Muslims.

Spotlight #1 by Imam Badi Ali:
Some people say, vote for so-and-so because he is the lesser evil. But
evil is evil. There is no reason for us to vote for any evil.
Spotlight #2 from Imam Badi Ali:
Pakistan's army, like those of Arab countries, is trained to crush its
own, defenseless, unarmed citizens. Its job is to safeguard the corrupt
rulers. Pak military cannot defeat poorly armed, poorly trained Pak
Taliban. What will happen if India attacks?
New Trend has received a letter from within the Pakistani air force
highlighting the suffering of Pak military dissidents.
Please scroll to end.
Yemen might break up: New Trend is getting reports that segments
of Yemeni opposition groups are getting restive and tired of the unity
between North and South Yemen. There is a report that the unity is not
benefitting the people, espcially in the South. The government of Yemen
is closely aligned to the U.S.
Saudi Arabia, Egypt and the U.S. are showing signs of anxiety and
stress in case Yemen breaks up and the South becomes openly anti-U.S.
The area is strategically located on the ocean highways. Also, Shaykh
Usama is originally from Yemen..
Scholar of Maulana Maudoodi's writings makes important point:
Asim Bhai is a distinguished U.S. Muslim who recently called the editor
of New Trend. He was very disturbed by the conspiracy theories rampant
among Pakistani Amercans about Swat, hailing back to the time when India
was always seen as the culprit. Asim Bhai said that Pakistanis
[especially in the U.S.] often do not understand the difference between
Rule of Law and Justice. If the Law itself is unjust and
outdated, there is no point in having Rule of Law. What is needed is
Justice. Whoever provides Justice in Pakistan should have our support,
he concluded.

Obama: Day 122
American Court did not have the heart to sentence an Iraqi child's
Rapist and Killer of 4 to Death
In March 2006, after an afternoon of card playing, sex talk and drinking
whiskey, Green and three other soldiers went to the home of 14-year-old
Abeer Qassim al-Janabi near Mahmoudiya, about 20 miles south of Baghdad.
Green shot and killed the teen's mother, father and sister, then became
the third soldier to rape her before shooting her in the face. Her body
was set on fire. [Lexington news reports]
On May 22, 2009 a court in Lexington, Kentucky sentenced Green to life
in prison. [Such sentences are usually softened to parole after a
few years.]
[By contrast, Hitler ordered the death sentence for several soldiers of
the elite SS after their crimes against civilians. A disciplined,
professional army is not expected to commit the kind of crimes the U.S.
has committed in Iraq.]
[Other reports say Abeer was only 9 years old. Is that why revenge
attacks take places in Iraq against supporters of the U.S.? In April
2009, women carried out martyrdom operations in Baghdad.]

Nancy Pelosi lets the Cat out of the Bag: CIA Misled Congress
Source: Fox News
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi on May 14 accused the CIA of misleading
Congress about its use of enhanced interrogation techniques on
terror detainees.
"Yes I am saying the CIA was misleading the Congress, and at the same
time the (Bush) administration was misleading the Congress on weapons
of mass destruction in Iraq, to which I said that this intelligence
doesn't support the imminent threat," Pelosi said at her weekly
news conference.
"Every step of the way the administration was misleading the Congress
and that is the issue and that's why we need a truth commission,"
she said.
Under a barrage of questioning, Pelosi adamantly insisted that she was
not aware that waterboarding or other enhanced interrogation techniques
were being used on terrorism suspects.
"I am telling you they told me they approved these and said they wanted
to use them but said they were not using waterboarding," she said.
[New Trend comment: Speaker Pelosi has refused to budge against
concerted attacks on her by the Republicans and indirectly by the CIA.
The Republicans, led by Dick Cheyney, have been led to admit that, yes,
they did use torture on Islamic prisoners [euphemistically called
"enhanced interrogation techniques" by the Bush administration.]
Latest War News from Pakistan
by New Trend's Pakistan Monitor
May 24, 2009: General Kayani's military offensive in Swat, Buner and
Dir has stalled. After heavy fighting, U.S.-backed Pak troops are in
the capital city of Mingora but have not been able to secure all of
Mingora. Most of Mingora, including two crossroads, the emerald mine
and 4 village extensions of the town, remain in Taliban hands. There
are reports that Maulvi Fazlullah, known as the Lion of Swat, is in
Mingora, leading the resistance against elite Pak forces.
Islamic resistance has brought Kayani's forces to a standstill.
Pak troops have captured some of those points where Taliban put up
conventional resistance. After heavy Pakistani attacks, the Taliban
leave behind small resistance teams and withdraw to a different location.
Kayani thought he was winning but now knows that the Taliban have simply
re-arranged their forces. Unable to capture or kill Maulvi Fazlullah
[now known as the Lion of Swat] or Maulana Soofi Muhammad, the army
finds that the resistance continues all over Swat..
Kayani's Israeli style assault has hit the civilian population. The
latest figures are 2.2 million refugees: the greatest migration
since the Soviets attacked Afghanistan but in a much shorter time.
First signs that military victory is not clear and may be
impossible for Kayani came in Buner when the Paks announced
on May 22 that they had [finally] captured the tiny town of Sultanvas
after THREE WEEKS of fighting. The Taliban withdrew in good order.
U.S. intelligence sources announced [May 23] [Fox TV News] that they
are getting worried about the lack of success of the Kayani offensive
and are concerned that the military's claims are exaggerated. [As an
insult to Islam and Muslims, Kayani called the offensive "Rah-e-Rast."
{The Straight Path}, comparable to the name of the blood curdling U.S.
campaign in Afghanistan which was called "Enduring Freedom."]
Pak military commanders, General Sajjad Ali and others, meeting
journalists in Swat admitted that they are far from victory.
"Speaking at a rudimentary base in the heart of this verdant valley,
the commanders acknowledged that regaining full control of Swat will
probably take months and involve intense combat." {Washington
Post, May 23, 2009}

Eyewitness Account: Attack on Swat Created Disaster bigger than That of
Pak-Kashmir Mammoth Earthquake
A visitor and charitable activities worker to the refugee camps
resulting from the Pak army's assault on Buner, Dir and Swat recounts
his eyewitness account. Speaking on Geo TV's al-Alim segment, Maulana
Adnan Kakakhel speaks with specific examples of the massive
tragedy which has emerged. The people, terrorized by the army, left
everything behind, including their standing crops ready to be reaped.
Anthropologists will notice that something akin to the destruction of
the indigenous people of America and Australia is happening in Swat.
The population has been removed from its social and cultural context.
Women who observe strict purdah are lying on the ground under
the open sky, exhausted from their endless trek out of their villages.
Pregnant women have no option but to let males help them to birth.
Of course there is no electricity or running water in these
makeshift camps.
Pakistani government's relief activities are only on TV: they do not
exist on the ground. U.S. claims that it has sent air conditioned tents
[!] are too cruel to be funny.
We urge readers who know Urdu to listen to Kakakhel and tell their
friends. Here is the link:

Jamaat al-Muslimeen [News]
Non-Violent Resistance to Oppression
P.O. Box 10881
Baltimore, MD 21234
Outreach in Washington: Imam Badi Ali's Fatwa on Pakistan given to
Worshippers at Islamic Center, DC
May 22, 2009. The Islamic Center in Washington, DC is a showpiece of
Islamic architecture centrally located on Massachusetts Avenue. After
Juma' prayers, three important documents published by Jamaat
al-Muslimeen were given to 163 people. Most of them were from African
and Arab countries. Some of them were from Pakistan and Bangladesh and
a few [specially sisters] from the African American community.
The first document was Dr. Kaukab Siddique's critique of the
Pope's visit to occupied Palestine. The Pope, he wrote, recognized
Israel, a terrorist entity, and insulted the Prophet, pbuh, both in
violation of Christian teachings. In Palestine, the Pope showed such
bias in favor of Israel that he refused to pay heed to Christian
Palestinians complaining of Zionist atrocities. The Pope is not a
friend of Muslims, he wrote.
The second document was a powerful FATWA by Imam Badi Ali in
which he urged Pakistani troops to stop their actions against the
Taliban. He said, the Taliban are the servants of Allah and the
spearhead of Islam. Actions against the Taliban are strictly HARAM and
could lead to eternal hellfire for Pakistani troops in the Herafter.
The Imam urged the Muslims of America to pray for the success of
the Tailban.
The third document was an extract from
Dr. Abdulalim Shabazz'
address to the National Islamic Shoora of Jamaat al-Muslimeen. Dr.
Shabazz sees the elite educational institutions of America as breeding
grounds for supremacist ideas, war orientation and support for the
projection of power. The wars of genocide in Iraq, Somalia, Afghanistan
and Gaza emanate from the supremacist foundations laid by misguided
American education which is rooted in 400 years of slavery and racist
constructs, according to Dr. Shabazz' analysis.
In addition to these, a brief report on the Islamic resistance in Swat
was included in the material given to 163 Muslims.
[The khutba at the Islamic Center was on the Muslims' duty to respect
and honor the mother. Very safe, considering that most people who come
here are NOT young. Outside on the sidewalk Imam Muhammad al-Asi was
speaking as strongly as ever to his audience about Zionism.]
Africa Liberation Day [ALD]

Jamaat al-Muslimeen Thanks Cuba for Doctors in Pakistan: Celebration
of African-Cuban Unity
May 22, 2009, Washington, DC: Delegates from Jamaat al-Muslimeen
who are part of the network supporting Imam Jamil al-Amin were invited
to the celebration of Cuba's 50th anniversary Numerous peace activists
and African delegates were at the festive program organized by the
All-African Peoples' Revolutionary Party [Guinea, Conakry
{West Africa}]
The delegates met dilpomats from Cuba's Interests Section in Washington
and thanked them for the work of the Cuban doctors who served in
Pakistan's earthquake stricken areas. Also, they informed the Cubans
that an even greater calamity has struck Pakistan's Swat area owing to
governmental action.
Bob Brown, a famous and veteran activist, a leader among the
African-American Left, engaged Jamaat al-Muslimeen delegates in a
friendly discussion about issues facing oppressed people. {He supports
Imam Jamil as well as Muslim prisoners in Iraq and Palestine.]
In addition to the Cuban diplomat's speech and introductions by
Benbose Shango, the organizer of the event, the celebration was
livened up by the singing of Sis. Luci Murphy, a famous grassroots
activist for human rights in Washington, DC. She sang, in English, about
the inner spirit within humans, and then sang, in Spanish, about "Cuba,
the Beautiful." [Sis. Luci is well known for her songs about Palestine.]
The A-APRP is known for its opposition to Zionism.
Obama: Day 120
Another Bogus Case? Four Muslims Trapped by FBI Informant.
Well Organized Government Operation
by New Trend's media monitor
The latest government story against Muslims is more incredible than
anything done by these "terrotrist hunters" since 2001.
On May 20, 2009, four Muslims, three of them African American
and one Haitian, were arrested. The government story is that
they wanted to blow up two synagogues and then would have shot down
military aircraft.
The story is difficult to believe once we read the details. The
"defendants" embraced Islam in prison. Before becoming Muslims, they
had been petty criminals and were illiterate. How such men could know
anything about plastic explosives and stinger missiles is unbelievable.
They did not know that a pizza seller and a Kurdish prayer leader in
Albany, New York state, not far from Newburgh, were similarly trapped
by informants. [They probably do not read newspapers.]
Read the prosecution story more carefully and one can know that this
has to be bogus. The Muslims were misled by an "informant." He claimed
that he was connected with "Jaish Muhammad" a Muslim group in Pakistan
involved in Kashmir.
The informant sent by the government was well trained. The New York
Times states:
"The informant, who has been cooperating with the F.B.I. for the
past six years, first met with Mr. Cromitie at the Masjid al-Ikhlas,
a mosque in Newburgh, in June 2008."
So here is a man, working with the FBI for SIX years, meets an innocent
new Muslim named Cromite and incites him to talk about his feelings
about the suffering of Muslims in Afghanistan. Still, the outraged
Muslims [hurt by the U.S. bombing of Afghanistan], would have not
decided to do anything violent. It appears that the informant led
them on.
"From October 2008, the informant began meeting him regularly along
with the four others at a house in which the FBI had concealed video
and audio equipment."
The Muslims were so unaware of secret activities, they did not know
that were being audio taped and video taped.
Finally, says the government report, the informant DROVE the Muslims to
the synagogue where they put down something which they thought were
explosives. They were so unfamiliar with such activities that they had
no idea whether it was a real explosive!
Now all this needs to be proven in court but the government's story has
already been splashed across every media channel.
The media forgot that under rule of law, one is innocent until
proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
This dirty game of inciting, trapping and arresting naive young Muslims
has become the staple of American justice.
Just below the surface lies RACISM: The poor, the oppressed, the Black
can conveniently be victimized. They do not have expensive lawyers.
Hardly had the news of the arrest come out when CAIR, a lackey "Muslim"
group endorsed the government story. CAIR easily got its statement
published in the New York Times [which has a track record of NEVER
publishing Islamic statements]. Here is CAIR in its own words:
"We applaud the F.B.I., the New York Police Department and the other
law enforcement agencies that took part in the investigation for their
efforts in helping to prevent any harm to either Jewish institutions or
to our nation's military," the organization's executive director, Nihad
Awad, said. "We repeat the American Muslim community's repudiation of
bias-motivated crimes and of anyone who would falsely claim religious
justification for violent actions. Members of the American Muslim
community should remain vigilant in reporting any activities that could
harm the safety and security of our nation or its citizens."
CAIR's emphasis is on "reporting" which implies spying on fellow Muslims.
Blinded by its boot licking attitude towards the Zionist government,
CAIR did not notice that the arrests followed ENTRAPMENT by an
INFORMANT. Without the government informant, the Muslims would not be
involved in any such activity. The government sends agents, incites,
traps and arrests Muslims. There is no question of justice here.
Also, note what the New York Times says about the Jewish center
allegedly targeted:
"The Riverdale Jewish Center has close ties to Israel."
Which Muslim [other than CAIR, MPAC, ICNA, ISNA] does not know that
Israel is a terrorist entity.
Israel is based on GENOCIDE, CRIMES against HUMANITY, ASSASSINATIONS
and a program of lies and fabrications.
If a mosque in America were linked to Hamas, Hizbullah, al-Qaidah,
Taliban or Al-Shabab, it would be closed down in one day. But here we
have a synagogue openly linked to the terrorist entity called Israel
and the Jews' biggest paper, NY Times, states that fact and yet the
government defends the synagogue.
Appeal to Muslims: New Trend urges U.S. Muslims to control their
anger and not to carry out any physical action against Jews. Such actions
play right into the hands of the Zionist government. Breaking the law is
not the way to go. We know that the Jews "did" Gaza and destroyed a
whole city; we know they have occupied Palestine by force of arms, and
are supplied by American Jews.
We live in America having accepted American law. We must not break our
compact with America.
We can defeat the Jews who are linked to Israel by peaceful means.
We should not cooperate with the Jews in any way whatsoever. They are
the enemies of Islam and the enemies of humanity. Do not buy their
goods; do not buy their services. Also, urge CAIR etc to stop supporting
Israel or remove the name "Islamic" and "Muslim" from their groups.
Be peaceful but uncompromising.
THE INFORMANT, the INFILTRATOR: Muslim Communities are Being Hurt by
Siraj Wahhaj Types.
by Kaukab Siddique, Ph.D
Ameer Jamaat al-Muslimeen
www.newtrendmag.org
This PLAGUE of INFORMANTS and religious-looking infiltrators getting
Muslims into prison was signalled years back by the activities of
SIRAJ WAHHAJ, a prominent leader of the pro-government Muslim group
of bootlickers known as ISNA [branching out into CAIR]. Also very
popular with ICNA, Siraj Wahhaj successfully infiltrated the Muslim
community and helped to put one of the greatest Islamic leaders of
our time, Shaikh Omar 'Abdel Rahman, in prison. Siraj Wahhaj was
invited as a defense witness in the case of Dr. Omar [the blind Shaikh]
but helped the government by claiming that the great Shaikh legitimized
bank robberies!
Later in an interview with the Zionist WALL STREET JOURNAL Siraj Wahhaj
continued his backbiting and slander against the Shaikh. What kind of a
Muslim is Siraj Wahhaj? In his own words, he is proud of his
friendship with Medeleine Albright, mass murderer of HALF-a-MILLION
Iraqi children through sanctions and embargo. This is what Siraj told
the WSJ:
"I had dinner with Secretary of State Albright after the list of
unundicted conpirators was circulated."
[Wall Street Journal, October 24, 2003.]
In the same interview, he continued to slander Shaikh Omar. His words:
"Shaikh suggested that Muslims should rob banks to benefit Islam."
The blind Shaikh, servant of Allah, Hafiz of Qur'an, expert in Sahih
Bukhari, teacher of Fiqh, Ph.D from Al-Azhar, is in prison, in a
little cell cut off from friends, family, all sympathetic human contact,
buried alive. In the meantime, Siraj Wahhaj struts around ISNA
masjids claiming to be an Islamic leader and urging Muslims to be aware
of the Hereafter!
[Recently Siraj Wahhaj, on his sick bed, appealed to Muslims to support
the FBI affiliated organization known as ISNA.]

Pakistan can be seen throughout the crowd. The rally was addresed by
Jamaate Islami leader, Prof. Abdul Ghafoor Ahmed, with Karachi JI
leader Muhammad Hussain Mehnati on his right. [See photo inset.] The

Pakistan's Top Army Brass is Part of NATO's War Machine: General
Kayani Rushed off to Brussels during the Swat Invasion
[Excerpted from News International, Karachi]
Kayani briefs Nato commanders
Wednesday, May 20, 2009
BRUSSELS: Army chief Gen Ashfaq Parvez Kayani briefed Nato's top
officers on Tuesday about the fighting in Swat and its adjoining
districts, officials said.
Officials discussed plans to deepen ties between Nato and Pakistan's
armed forces by providing training for Pakistani officers in Nato
training centres, and reviewed the status of Nato's main supply route
to landlocked Afghanistan, Nato spokesman James Appathurai said.
"Gen Kayani gave his assessment of the current situation there and
Pakistan's plans for future actions," Appathurai said. He did not
elaborate on what those plans were, and Kayani did not speak
to journalists.
Gen Kayani last visited Nato in November, when he urged alliance
commanders to focus on winning the population's backing in those areas
to prevent Taliban and al-Qaeda militants from using them as
safe havens.
On Tuesday, he met with Nato's Military Committee, which serves as a
link between Nato's military and political sides, and provides advice
on strategy. Its head, Italian Adm Giampaolo Di Paola, is Nato's
top soldier.
He also held talks with Secretary-General Jaap de Hoop Scheffer,
Appathurai said. Gen Kayani arrived in Brussels from a one-day visit on
Monday to Paris, where he met President Nicolas Sarkozy and top French
government and military officials.
Pakistan's Mini-Goebbels
Major General Athar Abbas, spokesman of the Pakistani military
[left in photo], has been making grossly exaggerated claims about the
achievements of the U.S.-backed offensive in Swat. He claims that the
military has killed 1047 Taliban fighters and wounded 573 and captured
393. These numbers are more than the TOTAL known strength of the Taliban
in Swat. Sources outside the military say that almost all those killed
and wounded by the military are civilians. Only about 75 Taliban fighters
have been killed, while the Pak military has suffered 92 killed and
167 wounded.
General Kayani has made a serious blunder [or a deliberate misdeed,
depending on your viewpoint] in appointing General Athar Abbas. The
General is a Shi'ite of the secularist kind. In his youth, he was a
pseudo-leftist. Shi'ites are already seen with great suspicion in
Pakistan owing to their alliance with the regime. Both the President
and Prime Minister are Shi'ites.
What's Wrong with this picture?
May 24, 2009
Photo: Karzai of Kabul and Zardari of Islamabad hand in hand with Iran's
Ahmedinejad at their Tehran summit. Both were brought to their positions
by the U.S. They vowed to fight "extremism" [a euphemism for Islamic
resistance invented by the U.S.].
Muslims must swallow this bitter pill that they are not going to get
any help from Iran. As New Trend has pointed out frequently, Iran is
hand-in-glove with the U.S. both in Iraq and in Afghanistan. Iran's
problem with Israel is over its nuclear technology, not on ideology.
Both Iran and Israel are natiionalists.
During the Israeli assaults on Lebanon and Gaza, Iran did not give any
mentionable military support or weaponry to its supposed allies. Iran
is all talk. It is in competition with Israel for U.S. support and to
be a regional power under the aegis of the U.S. Israel is jealous and
wants to be the sole owner of the Middle East.
Pakistanis start to Uncover the Horrific Suffering Imposed by the
U.S.-backed Army on Swat
May 24, 2009:
Maulana Sami' ul-Haq [Jamiat-ulema-Islam]: We are receiving
information that a very large number of civilians are being targeted by
the army. If this process is not halted then even peaceful citizens
will be enflamed with the desire for revenge and no one will be able
to put out these flames.
Sirajul Haq, Ameer of Jamaate Islami Frontier Province: According to
our information, 99% of those killed are civilians... We have authentic
reports that the general population is being targeted by the army and
persons coming out of the affected areas bear witness to this.
Journalists from the daily Jasarat met refugees from Swat at Chakdara.
38 year old Muhammad Khan who travelled for 30 hours to reach Chakdara
said: The village of Charbagh was subjected to steady shelling and
bombing for several days resulting in the deaths of more than 12
ordinary citizens.
Hanif, after being injured, was brought out of Doog Dara in Dir. His
father said that a mortar shell hit their house killing 2 people and
wounding 3.
The hospitals of Peshawar are full of wounded people who are
all civilians.

Iraq: Urban Guerrilla Warfare
According to official U.S. figures, 18 U.S. troops were killed in May
2009 [till May 22] and 19 were killed in April, bringing the total up
to 4300 killed. However, the U.S. refuses to give details of the
fighting in which they were killed, other than to say that Mosul and
Diyala province remain strongholds of al-Qaida-in-Iraq, as the U.S.
calls the Islamic forces [or Islamic State in Iraq as they
call themselves].
May 23, 2009: Baghdad: According to Kuwait News, a U.S. contractor was
stabbed to death in the heavily protected Green Zone. His throat had
also been slit. The attacker escaped.
U.S. backed police occupying Mosul suffered heavily on May 23. Attacks
[probably by al-Qaida] killed 4 police and wounded 3 in western Mosul
and killed one police and wounded one in eastern Mosul.
May 12: A martyrdom operator struck in Kirkuk killing 8 police officers.
A Letter from within the Pakistan Military
VICTIMIZED Pakistan Air Force PERSONNEL and THEIR FAMILIES
for PURSUIT OF JUSTICE
by Tanveer Iqbal [Pakistan]
Being Armed Forces Personnel we have very limited or no outlets to
express our suffering, injustice and frustration in public but to
comply with orders from our superiors whether right or wrong In other
words do it or die but we are not supposed to ask "why" ?
The so called war on Terrorism stripped the moral fiber in our Armed
Forces and let morale touch the lowest bottom because of such acts
of horror.
We the petitioners did nothing wrong, did not break any discipline or
been guilty of any un-patriotic action but the fact being because of
our religious appearance with beard or our faith in our Islamic
ideology and a vote of "NO" to the referendum of general Musharaf led
our superiors to target us as "Terrorist" or anti state elements. More
then 100 people were abducted out of which 6 people awarded death
sentence ( one Sepoy Islam Siddiqui was hanged in August 2005 ), 77
people awarded 2 to 20 years rigorous imprisonment and 30 people
dismissed from service.
-
We were abducted and kept in lockup/torture cells more then 90 days to
2 years ( 2004 to 2006 ) against the legal provisions of any military
laws and without proper trial or due process.
-
During this time witnesses were coerced to sign statements prepared by
the intelligence agencies suiting their strategy / needs. Ironically
even the witnesses were blind folded, shackled and hand cuffed when
they appeared in court.
-
Victims and witnesses were threatened that their wives and sisters
will be raped if they refuse to give the statement of
authority's choice.
-
Confession statements were executed from the victims under life threat,
and threat of injury or harm to victim families and brutal torture
tactics. As a result of brutal methods of torture some of the victims
lost their partial eye sight, hearing, spinal and cervical spine
injuries besides loss of ankles and knee joints. Some of the victims
suffer severe mental disorders and hallucinations. In one instance one
victim ( Cpl Tech Hashmat Khan resident of Kohat ) passed away as a
result of excessive use of force and torture which was later described
as commission of suicide by the victim.
-
The victim families were deprived of their wages, living quarters,
medical facilities and even security. The families lived under constant
threat and insecurity and children in many cases quit schools for
defamation of their parent. The families suffered unjust public
humiliation which they did not deserve.
-
Victim were granted unjust dishonorable discharge from service without
any recourse or right to pension or any kind of benefits.
-
The entire proceedings of all such false and fabricated cases were held
in mock courts and sentences were awarded according to their choices
without following any law or even universal norms of justice and
Human rights.
-
The disappearance cases of civilians and military personnel aimed to
protect and benefit General Musharaf were protested not only nationally
but also projected internationally as gross violation of human rights.
We the victims and our families appeal to the Chief Justice of Pakistan
Supreme Court and to the masses of Pakistan for justice. The personnel
still in jails under such false cases under the pretext of "Terrorism"
to be released immediately; however their illegal shackles be removed
without any further delay which is a violation of Supreme Court orders,
and those discharged to be reinstated with full benefits and full
compensation for pain, suffering and loss of wages.
We appeal to the Chief Justice of Pakistan Supreme Court of Pakistan to
take SOU-MOTO action and grant justice. Justice delayed is Justice
denied and we hope our appeal will not go unnoticed or unheard. We also
appeal to the media both electronic and print to help us promote our
genuine cause just like you ably promoted the cause of justice for the
Chief Justice of Pakistan.
