Another Revolutionary Khutba
The Qur'an Places Men and Women Together in Every Category of
Islamic Endeavor.
Cooperation with Oppressors is haram [strictly forbidden]. U.S.
Muslim "leaders" Betrayed the Ummah.
April 24, 2009. The following are the main points from Dr. Kaukab
Siddique's Juma' Khutba at a small mosque on the west side of Baltimore.
Although the mosque was packed to capacity with about 100 worshippers
[very few women], this summary is being provided for countrywide
distribution and hopefully a sample for other khateebs:
Text # 1: "Surely for men and women who accept Islam, for men and women
in whose hearts faith has entered, for men and women who are devoutly
obedient to Allah, for men and women who speak the truth, for men and
women who patiently persevere, for men and women who seek humility from
Allah, for men and women who spend in Allah's way, for men and women
who purify themselves through fasting, for men and women who guard
their private parts, and for men and women who remember Allah much --
for them has Allah promised forgiveness and a great reward." [The
Qur'an 33:35.]
Text # 2: "From Aus ibn Shurajeel [r.a.]. He heard the messenger of
Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be on him, saying: One who supports
an oppressor and strengthens him, although he know that he is an
oppressor, such a one leaves the fold of Islam." [Hadith in Mishkat
al-Masabih.]
-
The unity of the Ummah of Islam begins with the unity of the men and
women who constitute that ummah. If our sisters are not in the mosque,
or if men ignore the sisters' Islamic potential, or if men try to
suppress women, then there is no chance of our becoming an ummah.
-
The Qur'an was revealed progressively. As the Muslims became more aware
of their dignity and self-respect, more and more comprehensive verses
of the Qur'an were revealed.
-
Owing to the influences of jahiliyya [pre-Islamic Age of Ignorance],
Muslims were cautious about letting women have an equal place in sacred
institutions like formal prayers and mosques. The Qur'an powerfully
taught against such fears.
-
Today also we see how women are being demeaned, exploited and oppressed
by the jahiliyya culture. The pre-Islamic Arabs used to recite
their sexual exploits in public, naming the women who were their
partners in sex who would be sitting right in front of them. Today we
see on TV, a throwback to the age of ignorance with the illicit affairs
and random sex being publicized so proudly.
-
The Qur'an made it very clear that women are included equally with men
in EVERY sphere of Islamic endeavor as can be seen in 33:35.
-
The verse begins with the formal expression of faith [Islam], then goes
to the spiritual, inner acceptance [iman], then to obedience. Formal
obligatory prayers are required of one who claims to be a Muslim.
Obedience in Islam is to Allah alone. Without obedience to Allah's Law
[Shari'ah] even prayers are useless. In human relations,
authority is acceptable only if it is based on mutual consultation and
consent [shoora].
-
The fourth and fifth categories are the categories of jihad:
Sidq and sabr [Truth and Patience]. Jihad
begins with the expression of truth and continues with patient
perseverence when the forces of falsehood, oppression and exploitation
lash back. Jihad includes the power of expression, communication and
eloquence, followed by defiance of falsehood and readiness to accept
suffering without compromise, and when our homes and our countries are
invaded, there is armed resistance.
-
The sixth category of khashiah or humility comes through
nafl prayers; extra prayers alone with Allah late at night or
early in the morning before dawn. This spiritual power is essential for
our struggle against satanic forces and the allure of the
world [dunya].
-
The seventh category is that of sadaqa or spending in Allah's way. This
verse takes for granted that with Allah, the economic activity of women,
and hence the ability to spend in Allah's way, is sacred. Islam is the
only religion which has ordained inheritance for women in every property
whose owner passes away.
-
Fasting or sawm is central to Islam. Ramadan, the month
of fasting, brings the ummah together. However, the Prophet,
pbuh, used to fast off and on throughout the year to prepare for
Ramadan. Try fasting as he did on Monday and Thursday. Fasting purifies
the body and the soul if done according to the rules in Hadith.
-
The Qur'an is very blunt about sexual chastity. Marriage is essential
in Islam and there are severe punishments in Shar'ia for
fornication and adultery. We should encourage and help with marriage
and emphasize early marriage. The Law [Shar'ia] makes it clear
that men and women are equally responible for modesty and chastity.
-
Zikr or remembrance of Allah Almighty is part of the
Muslim's existence at all times of the day and the night. The best way
to remember Allah is through Allah's 99 names or as many of them as one
can remember, though the word ALLAH is more powerful than any of
Allah's qualities and manifestations. Keep saying ALLAH and send
blessings on Muhammad, pbuh, all the time, audibly and inaudibly, and
you will be rid of all the stress and anxiety which make our lives
miserable and create sickness.
Part II of Khutba:
-
Standing at this mimbar, in this masjid, with Allah as my witness, I
want to bring a sensitive issue to your attention.
-
The groups which claimed leadership of the Muslims of America have
confessed that they were working for many years with America's major
intelligence agency. This confession can be seen in their emails and on
their web sites.
-
They brought the intelligence agency of the kuffar into Muslim communities.
-
They told the Muslims that these oppressors are their friends. Would
the Prophet, pbuh, have ever brought Abu Jahl into the Muslim community
so that he could check out the strengths and weaknesses of the Muslims?
[Naoozubillahe min zalik!]
-
They openly publicized the fact that they were creating a new "Islam,"
a "moderate" Islam under the protection of this intelligence agency.
-
Dear brothers and sisters, all these are HARAM [strictly
forbidden] activities.
-
Now, because we exposed them, they are saying that they are CONSIDERING
withdrawal from the close alliance with the intelligence agency. They
say that they found intelligence service using an informant to
infiltrate a Muslim community in California.
-
The fact is that just about ALL the Muslims who have been arrested and
convicted during the Bush administration were trapped by informants
working with the intelligence agency or other nefarious activities of
the intelligence agency, such as wiretapping. These groups not only
were silent in all these cases but sometimes sided with the oppressors
as in the case of Imam Jamil al-Amin.
-
Look at all the suffering of our brothers which these agent groups of
"Muslim leaders" ignored. Think of the Blind Shaikh Dr. Omar 'Abdel
Rahman, trapped by an informant and betrayed by an "imam," think of
Ahmed Abdel Sattar
,
victimized through years of wiretapping, Dr. Ali Timimi, trapped by
informants,
Masaoud Khan
,
trapped by informants and the list goes on.
-
These "leader" groups enjoyed the Bush years. Now that we have exposed
them and the intelligence agency has squeezed all the benefits out of
them, they claim that they want to withdraw.
-
Dear Muslims, the Prophet, pbuh, has taught that we should not be going
to the same snake pit again and again. Be aware of these snakes in
Muslim garb.
Du'a:
-
O Allah forgive our sins and our shortcomings
-
O Allah! Give us success in this world and in the Hereafter. Save us
from the Punishment of the Fire, from the Punishment in the grave, from
the Punishment at judgement, from the onslaught of the Anti-Christ
Dajjal: Surely You are the Forgiving, the Merciful..
-
O Allah help the Muslims of America to unite on the basis of the Qur'an
and the Hadith.
-
O Allah, give us health, halal livelihood, Islamic families
and compassion
-
O Allah bless the Muslims of Somalia for accepting Shar'ia.
-
O Allah Help the Muslims of Kashmir to free themselves from
Indian occupation.
-
O Allah help the Muslims of Iraq to complete their victory
against U.S. occupation.
-
O Allah help the Muslims of Afghanistan to complete their
victory against aggression and occupation by NATO
-
O Allah help the Muslims of Pakistan to unite and fight back
against the impending invasion by satanic forces.
-
O Allah help the Muslims of Sudan to defeat the intrigues of
their enemies on Darfur.
-
O Allah send your wrath on the yahood for their atrocties in Gaza.

Letter: The Case of Br. Enaam Arnaout: Imprisoned for Sending boots
to Bosnia
Dear Brother Kaukab,
I noticed you had Br. Enaam Arnaout on a list of worthy prisoners so
I'm writing to let you know how he can be reached.
He is in that special high security prison for low level political
detainees that Guantanamo is modeled after. Thanks to
Sr. Linda Richards from FreeDetainees.org we were able to locate him.
His contact information is on this page:
http://freedetainees.org/enaam-arnaout
I have been in touch with him by mail a couple of times. The judge
refused his last appeal, so now he is making istikhara to decide what
to do next.
He does not seem to have much contact with the outside world. He asks
for prayers for his mother in Medina who is old and sick. He hasn't
seen his children in eight years. He mentioned he was being
mistreated but didn't feel comfortable describing it to a female.
Inshallah I hope you could be in touch with him and maybe give him some
hope. He was sentenced to ten years, so he will be released eventually
and will need support.
He would like to know, as would I, what happened to the orphans that
were abandoned when Bush closed down Benevolence
International Foundation.
It would be interesting if someone would make a movie tracking this
story down. There was an entire house full of paralyzed children with
polio. I hopeto God someone checked in on them. Many of those orphans
who were abandoned would be adults now if they survived. Maybe they
could be found.

Letter: Re: Br. Yusuf Irelandi's Khutba: Did the Prophet, pbuh, tie
stones to his stomach? Doesn't make sense!
While I was reading under the title:
Outreach in Tennessee: "Prophet Muhammad, pbuh, was humble, sat on the
ground, often went Hungry."
I found "Nowadays when was the last time a Muslim here has tied a rock
to his stomach due to severe hunger?!"
I don't understand why any hungry person would tie a stone in the
stomach. Wouldn't that make things worse for the person? Could you
please find out the truth about the "hadith". Is there any misreporting
or mis-translation? Please let me know if you could find anything more
sensible on it.
Best wishes,

Response by Kaukab Siddique
Prophet Muhammad, pbuh, considered himself part of the suffering masses
of humanity. He ate little and lived humbly. Being rich and at ease are
not Islamic ideals.
About tying stones to his stomach, it is very famous and relates to the
time when he was helping the Sahaba, r.a., dig the Trench. These
are authentic Hadith and no one has denied their authenticity.
Our brother is right. We, the Muslim upper classes, have become
too comfortable.
Second letter about stones
Salam and thanks Br Kaukab.
I appreciate your response. The question remains, while digging trench,
how tied stone on the stomach makes the job any easy? It contradicts
commonsense. Doesn't it? No one raised the issue before, may not be
an excuse to find out the truth.
May Allah keep you well and help achieve your goals.
Regards : Shahjahan
Second response by Kaukab Siddique
Let me explain.
The Prophet, pbuh, and the sahabah, r.a., were starving, so they tied
small rocks to their stomachs to create the sense of having something
at the area of the stomach.
It's a beautiful example of the Prophet's, pbuh, empathy with the
hungry and poor people of the world.
Most upper class Muslims nowadays are rich and well fed and do not feel
empathy with the poor, other than to give charity.
How does it defy common sense? Did you think those were big rocks,
difficult to carry?
Best wishes.

They admit Sleeping with the FBI
After 8 years of CAIR, ISNA, ICNA, MPAC's FBI Collusion, How will
Muslims get rid of the alphabet groups?
by Malangbaba [New Orleans, Louisiana] {The writer is a human
rights activist.}
From this article, if there were one statement that could encapsulate
the crux of the issues of accountability, and whose interests the
alphabet Muslim organizations really represent, it would be this:
"If a Muslim leader of any of our national groups supporting full
maintenance of engagement is to be detained today, these groups would
inevitably no longer stay on the table for continued so-called
engagement. Therefore, the question is where do you draw the line? The
line for grassroots movements is drawn when an average individual such
as (Ahmad) Niazi is affected or in solidarity for all those families
who have been harassed by recent intrusions but for others, the
threshold may be much higher."
- Faisal Qazi
On the other hand, these are the positions of Muslim organizations:
"We believe that we have to keep our place at the table in
this discourse."
- Salam Maryati, MPAC Director
"ISNA believes that communications with law enforcement agencies should
remain open and it is not in favor of ending contacts with the FBI."
- ISNA statement
The Islamic Shura Council of Southern California polled local Muslims
in March, and these are the results they yielded:
In the poll, 78 percent of respondents said American Muslims
should have "no relationship at all [with the FBI] until they stop
unfairly targeting" Muslims or "end outreach relationship and limit
communication to 'as needed.'" The remaining 22 percent said Muslims
should maintain an ongoing relationship with the FBI, "no matter what."
Even, Agha Saeed, the chairman of the AMT, who spearheaded the
statement threatening breaking off of ties with the FBI, still
continues to insist that it is not an effort of disengagement, and
suggests resumption of this abusive relationship:
"It is instead designed to truly engage top Justice Department
officials on these critical issues. It is also designed to help restore
respect and equal rights for American Muslims after eight years of
being treated as suspects rather than partners."
It is absolutely clear that there is a disconnect between the vast
majority of the Muslim grassroots, and the variety of alphabet Muslim
organizations which claim to represent Muslims. It indicates not only
issues of accountability, but also issues of transparency
and representation.
In what ways are the Muslim organizations accountable and responsive to
the grassroots?
In what ways to they make clear to the Muslim communities the nature,
extent and content of their relationship and interactions with law
enforcement agencies and the government?
What is the relationship between the demographics (and interests) of
the people in leadership positions in the Muslim organizations, and
demographics (and interests) of the most of the individuals and
families that have been targeted by enforcement agencies?
The CAIR representative makes this statement:
"The problem is that many in the Muslim community no longer feel
confident that the FBI is pursuing an honest dialogue with the Muslim
community," Ayloush said. "This was the result of confirmed reports
that, while the Muslim community engaged in honest partnership building
and dialogue with the FBI for eight years, the FBI was paying convicted
felons to 'infiltrate' mosques to radicalize Muslim youths and
instigate talks about terrorism action. Integrity and honesty are the
foundation of any relationship."
Why is it only now that CAIR is arguing to cut off the relationship?
There exist only three possibilities:
-
They are discovering the tactics that the FBI has been using
-
They feel there is more space to criticize the government and
enforcement agencies under the new administration
-
They are bitter and upset about the FBI cutting off relations with them
in late 2008
The first reason is clearly eliminated since these tactics used by the
FBI and enforcement agencies have been quite apparent for many years,
including immediately after 9/11 (and even before then). From local
interactions and exchanges of information between individuals masjid
members, and grassroots organizations such as DRUM, to very explicit
mentions of these cases from prominent Muslims and activists, such as
Dr. Hatem Bazian.
The second reason, while recognizing very real risks and hostile
climate, undermines the very premise of such Muslim organizations. If
the regional and national Muslim organizations are afraid to speak out
on behalf of their communities, and against the government, then what
good are they? How can they seek to protect the rights of Muslims if
they are afraid to speak up? And finally, what kind of Islam do they
represent if they are afraid to speak up?
The third reason is firmly affirmed, not only by logical deduction, but
also by the very statements of CAIR and other Muslim organizations'
statements. It is this gatekeeper role, which the Muslim organizations
are seeking to hold on to, and resent being sidelined and not being
invited to the table by those in power.
One last point in response to this in the article:
Muslim leaders observe that the fate of American Muslims mirrors that
of other minorities who they say were intimidated by government forces
and stripped of their humanity yet continued to stand up and eventually
gained respect and their true place in society.
Really? Which communities of color have gained respect and their "
true place" in society?
One needs only look at the historical role of the FBI and other law
enforcement agencies to know that it is a racist and anti-democratic
organization which has repressed any and all communities of color, or
dissenting communities, and in particular during times of Imperial wars
abroad. In fact, the tactics being used by enforcement agencies against
the Muslim communities, were practiced and perfected on the Black,
Latino, Asian, Indigenous, labor-rights, and civil rights communities
under the auspices of COINTELPRO in the 60s and 70s, not to mention the
general racism and repression doled out from before and since then.
The only respect gained has been for the very similar gatekeeper and
collaborationist organizations which have sold out the rights of their
communities in exchange for having a "place at the table"
with authorities.
At a time when the US government is waging war in multiple Muslim
countries, directly, covertly, or by proxy, and acting like a
modern-day pharaoh, is the duty, and moral obligation, of Muslims to be
like Musa (as) or to be like Qarun?
The need for changes within the Muslim communities is long overdue, and
this change can only come when Muslim community members, Imams,
activists, and masajid start making it clear that not only do these
Muslim organizations not represent us, but also that we seek our source
of power and security from Allah, and in conjunction with other
oppressed communities, like Musa (as) and not from those in power,
like Qarun.
"And certainly We raised in every nation a messenger saying: 'Serve
Allah and shun the oppressor.' So travel through the earth, and see
what was the nature of the consequence for the deniers!"

Holocaust Remembrance: What's Behind the Campaign?
Mark Weber
http://www.ihr.org/leaflets/holocaust_remembrance.shtml
... Holocaust remembrance is not, as its supporters claim, a noble
effort motivated by sincere concern for humanity. Instead, this
relentless campaign is an expression of Jewish-Zionist power, and is
designed to further Jewish-Zionist interests ... Jewish death and
suffering do not deserve to be venerated more than the death and
suffering of non-Jews. The Holocaust remembrance campaign deserves
scorn, not support, because it is a one-sided effort that serves narrow
Jewish and Israeli interests and bolsters Jewish-Zionist power.
Israel has announced that it did nothing wrong in Gaza!
If such is the Jewish claim on Gaza, imagine how much they lie
about Hitler!
Hitler's Birthday: Thinking outside the Box. [New Trend report]
April 20 was the birthday of Hitler, the greatest enemy of the Jews.
Why do Muslims consider him an evil man? He was not our enemy. Looks
like our enemies have brainwashed us.
Amin al-Husseini, the Mufti of Jerusalem was welcomed and honored by
Hitler. Was Hitler an enemy of the Muslims?
Large numbers of Muslims served in the Waffen SS. They were honored by
Hitler. Each Muslim unit had its own Imam and were given Qurans by
Hitler. Why do we consider him our enemy?
Africa was colonized, divided and brutalized by Britain and France, not
by Germany. Yet African Americans are told that Hitler was their enemy
and they believe it. Brainwashing!
The movie Schindler's List is shown to Black audiences, but the
destruction of Dresden, Hamburg, Dusseldorf and scores of other German
cities, with all their churches, monasteries, libraries and schools is
never discussed, let alone shown.
The Allies, Britain, the U.S., France, Russia, destroyed ALL German
cities and raped ALL German women. By contrast, Hitler spared the
beautiful cities of Paris and Rome. The German forces were under
steel-like discipline and did not rape women. A few cases of rape in
prison led to the execution of the Germans involved.
Documents have surfaced which prove beyond a reasonable doubt that
Hitler did NOT plan to invade Britain. Also, it is part of clear
documentation now that Hitler ALLOWED the British army trapped in
Dunkirk to escape.
It is time to let go of wartime propaganda against Germany.
New Trend urges readers to study the work of Mark Weber and David
Irving. The evil in German actions too is well documented by Irving.
New Trend urges readers to support the work of Mark Weber in the

Swine Flu has closed down entire areas of Mexico City. [1400 sick,

All pig products are forbidden in Islam.
[Good health advice from Chicago.] [This is NOT medical advice.]
Swine flu is here. The pig serves as a DNA recombinant factory
and mixes the genes of avian, human and swine flu into deadly
combinations. Swine flu is acquired by swine from a worm. People of
Ages 20-40 and those with chronic health problems are especially
vulnerable. Stock up on Vitamin D and ask your doctor for a prescription
for Tamiflu and get it filled. If you get the flu, use it within
48 hours after symptoms and use it with your doctor's advice. You may
need it sooner than you think, especially if you are travelling. Blood
Vitamin D level should be checked and vitamin D supplement taken
chronically to provide resistance to flu. Vitamin D can be started
while you wait for your results. Darker skinned people and older
people need more sun and longer exposure to get adequate vitamin D
conversion in the skin. Wash hands. Travel and mix wihh crowds only
if essential.

Our America: Hillary Clinton, Secretary of State, Sounds Irresponsble
Pakistan: "Threat to U.S. Security and the Whole World: Appeals to
Pakistani army, seculars & Pak Americans to Foil Islamic Forces"
April 22, 2009: In testimony before the House Foreign Affairs
Committee, Hillary Clinton warned that Pakistan was becoming a 'mortal
threat' to the world.
'I think that the Pakistani government is basically abdicating to the
Taliban and to the extremists,' Ms. Clinton said.
Mrs Clinton also urged Pakistanis, living both in and outside the
country, to realise how terrorism threatened the very existence of
their state.
'Pakistan poses a mortal threat to the security and safety of our
country and the world,' Ms. Clinton said.
'And I want to take this occasion ... to state unequivocally that not
only do the Pakistani government officials, but the Pakistani people
and the Pakistani diaspora ... need to speak out forcefully against a
policy that is ceding more and more territory to the insurgents.'
'The government of Pakistan ... must begin to deliver government
services, otherwise they are going to lose out to those who show up and
claim that they can solve people's problems and then they will impose
this harsh form of oppression on women and others,' she said.
'(We) cannot underscore the seriousness of the existential threat posed
to the state of Pakistan by the continuing advances now within hours of
Islamabad that are being made by a loosely confederated group of
terrorists and others who are seeking the overthrow of the Pakistani
state,' Clinton said.
'I don't hear that kind of outrage or concern coming from enough people
that would reverberate back within the highest echelons of the civilian
and military leadership of Pakistan,' she said.
[Comment by New Trend: Dear Ms. Clinton, these Islamic forces are the
people of Pakistan, not insurgents. They have the right as Pakistanis
to correct the situation created by the corruption and nepotism of the
civil authorities. You, Ms. Clinton, have no right to intefere in
Pakistan which is a sovereign state. You are blatantly inciting civil
strife between the secular but wealthy sections of Pakistani society
and the masses of Pakistan people who love Islam and Shari'a Law. Don'
t depend on renegades like Ahmed Sharif and the editors of Dawn.
You will be sorely misled. The Taliban in Swat and Buner have the
support of the people. Do some independent researching. By asking
Pakistani Amercans to instigate a crackdown on the forces of Islam, you
will make it difficult for Pakistani Americans to visit Pakistan. You
are a senior official of the Obama administration and should think out
what you say before you say it. Sincerely Kaukab Siddique, Ph.D]

European Delegates Walk out of Conference on Racism as Iran
President Ahmedinejad Condemns Zionism and Israel [photo below]
These very same European nations claim that insulting cartoons of
Prophet Muhammad, pbuh, are okay because Europeans support freedom of
expression. [It is noticeable that the Iranian leader did not attack
the Holocaust story used by Israeli propaganda.]
[Excerpts from translation of President Ahmedinejad's Powerful and
History-Making Speech at the Conference on Racism:]
"Following World War II, they resorted to military aggression to make
an entire nation homeless under the pretext of Jewish suffering. They
sent migrants from Europe, the United States and other parts of the
world in order to establish a totally racist government in the occupied
Palestine. In fact, in compensation for the dire consequences of racism
in Europe, they helped bring to power the most cruel and repressive
racist regime in Palestine."
"It is all the more regrettable that a number of Western governments
and the United States have committed themselves to defend those racist
perpetrators of genocide, while the awakened, conscious and free-minded
people of the world condemn aggression, brutalities and bombardments of
civilians of Gaza."
"Ladies and gentlemen: What are the root causes of U.S. attacks against
Iraq, or invasion of Afghanistan? Was the motive behind the invasion of
Iraq anything other than the arrogance of the then-U.S. administration
and the mounting pressures ... to expand their sphere of influence,
seeking the interest of giant arms manufacturing companies, affecting
another culture with thousands of years of historical background,
eliminating potential and practical threats of Muslim countries against
the Zionist regime? Or, to control and plunder energy resources of the
Iraqi people. Why indeed were almost a million people killed and
injured, and a few more millions were displaced and became homeless?
Why indeed have the Iraqi people suffered enormous losses amounting to
hundreds of billions of dollars? ... Wasn't the military action against
Iraq planned by the Zionists and their allies in the then-U.S.
administration, in complicity with the arms manufacturing companies,
and the owner of the world?"
"The United States and its allies not only have failed to contain the
production of drugs in Afghanistan, but also the illicit cultivation of
narcotics multiplied in the course of their presence. The basic question
is what was the responsibility of the then-U.S. administration and its
allies? Did they represent countries of the world? Have they been
mandated by them? Have they been authorized on behalf of the people of
the world to interfere in all parts of the globe, and of course mostly
in our region? Aren't these measures a clear example of egocentrism,
racism, discrimination, or infringement on the dignity and independence
of nations?"
Ladies and gentlemen: Who is responsible for the current global
economic crisis? Where did the crisis start from? From Africa? From
Asia? Or was it first from the United States?"
"Dear friends, today, the human community is facing a kind of racism
that has tarnished the image of humanity. In the beginning of the third
millennium, the world Zionism personifies racism that falsely resorts
to religion, and abuses religious sentiment to hide their hatred and
ugly faces. However, it is of great importance to bring into focus the
political goals of some of the world's powers and those who control
huge economic resources and interests in the world, and mobilize all
their resources, economic and political influence, and world media to
render support in vain to the Zionist regime, and maliciously to
diminish to indignity and disgrace of this regime."

Dynamic New Leader of Jamaate Islami Working to unite ALL Pak groups
against U.S. Intervention: "Slavery is Unacceptable regardless of
U.S. firepower"
Syed Munawat Hasan, Ameer Jamaate islami Pakistan, has come out with
strong and categorical condemnation of U.S. intervention in Pakistan.
He is very progressive and has support in labor unions and women's
groups along with student activists across the country. Not only is he
a scholar of Islam, organizer par excellence and activist, he is
also a sharp edged intellectual.
On April 18, he gave a wide ranging interview to Geo TV in which the
interviewer attacked him with all the rumors, abuse and stories about
Jamaate Islami which circulate among Pakistani westernized elites. He
calmly rebutted all of them without feeling agitated by the insults.
His body language was: "I have heard all this before."
He was asked why he is insisting on opposing America when Paks know
that America has superior fire power. His response was that slavery is
unacceptable regardless of the circumstances.
During the April 22 meeting with Khaksar leader al-Mashriqi and talking
to journalists, Munawar Hasan condemned the newly emerging statement of
Muslim League leader Nawaz Sharif supporting the U.S. and President
Obama against the Taliban. He said that 170,000,000 Pakistanis are
united against U.S. intervention. By siding with the U.S., Nawaz Sharif
has isolated himself from Pakistan and is now part of the American camp,
Hasan said. Nawaz Sharif, he said, by coming out against the Taliban has
shown that he does not see the 950 Pakistanis killed in U.S. drone
attacks or the crowds of refugees leaving the areas under drone attacks.
Hasan [known as Munawar bhai to his friends] pointed out that the U.S.
wants Pakistan to be subservient to India and Nawaz Sharif is ignoring
this reality.
He also had some advice for Maulana Sufi Muhammad of Swat.
Later, when Munawar Hasan visited the city of Faisalabad, he was
welcomed by large crowds who threw rose petals on him. His track record
of a clean public and private life during decades of struggle in the
corruption of life in Pakistan makes him a very dynamic figure
for Pakistanis.

Surprise! Surprise! Israeli Leader says Pakistan greater Threat
than Iran!
Excerpted from Israeli paper Haaretz of April 25 [dateline for
the news: April 23, 2009]
The Obama Administration will put forth new peace initiatives only if
Israel wants it to, said Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman in his
first comprehensive interview on foreign policy since taking office.
"Believe me, America accepts all our decisions," Lieberman told the
Russian daily Moskovskiy Komosolets.
Lieberman granted his first major interview to Alexander Rosensaft, the
Israel correspondent of one of the oldest Russian dailies, not to an
Israeli newspaper. The role of Israel is to "bring the U.S. and Russia
closer," he declared.
During the interview, Lieberman said Iran is not Israel's biggest
strategic threat; rather, Afghanistan and Pakistan are.
This comes after years of Lieberman warning about the growing Iranian
threat. Now, he has dropped Tehran to number two, with Iraq coming third.
Lieberman also discussed Moscow's under-utilized role in the Middle
East and the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, and said he aims to correct
this. The newspaper emphasized Lieberman's intention to develop closer
ties with Russia and to resolve international issues jointly.
"Russia has a special influence in the Muslim world, and I consider it
a strategic partner that should play a key role in the Middle East,"
Lieberman said in the interview.
"I have argued for some time that Israel has insufficient appreciation
for the 'Kremlin factor'; I intend to mend this gap," he said.
Political sources in the Commonwealth of Independent States have told
Haaretz that they believe Lieberman's appointment will result in
"greater understanding" between Israel and Russia.
Regarding his changing view on Israel's greatest threats, Lieberman said
that since he began warning against the nuclear threat from Iran,
nuclear threats have become more prevalent. Meanwhile, a more urgent
problem has developed in Pakistan and Afghanistan.
"Pakistan is nuclear and unstable, and Afghanistan is faced with a
potential Taliban takeover, and the combination form a contiguous area
of radicalism ruled in the spirit of Bin Laden," Lieberman said.
"I do not think that this makes anyone in China, Russia or the U.S.
happy ... these countries [Pakistan and Afghanistan] are a threat not
only to Israel, but to the global order as a whole."
In response to a question on Israel's role in countering these threats,
Lieberman said, "Our role is that we should bring the U.S. and Russia
closer ... it is unclear to me why the U.S. needs to confront Russia on
Kosovo or Ukraine's entry to NATO; however, Russia needs to understand
that close cooperation with Hugo Chavez does not build
western confidence."
Taliban Spokesmam Invites Shaykh Osama to Swat: April 21, 2009

want,' Muslim Khan said. - AP
MINGORA: Pakistan was trying to end bloodshed when it let the
idyllic Swat Valley fall under Nizam-i-Adl last week. Instead, it has
emboldened the Taliban and prompted an invitation - however improbable
- for Osama bin Laden.
The local spokesman for the Taliban, which control the valley, told The
Associated Press he'd welcome militants bent on battling US troops and
their Arab allies if they want to settle there.
'Osama can come here. Sure, like a brother they can stay anywhere they
want,' Muslim Khan said in a two-hour interview Friday, his first with
a foreign journalist since Islamic law was imposed. 'Yes, we will help
them and protect them.'
Khan spoke in halting English he learned during four years painting
houses in the US before returning to Swat in 2002. He averted his eyes
as he spoke to a female journalist, in line with his strict
understanding of Islam.
Pakistan reacted with alarm to his comments, saying it would never let
him shelter the likes of bin Laden.
'We would have to go for the military operation. We would have to apply
force again,' said Information Minister Qamar Zaman Kaira. 'We simply
condemn this. We are fighting this war against al-Qaeda and the Taliban.'
[Editorial Comment by New Trend: Muslim Khan is indulging in
braggadocio. Surely he knows that if Shaykh Osama were to arrive in
Swat, though the people would welcome him as a hero, the U.S. would
bomb the valley inflicting maximum damage. Muslim Khan's comment is
somewhat like that of Baitullah Mehsud when he said that if U.S. drone
attacks continue, he would hit Washington. This is the mujahideens's
way of saying that they are not afraid of anyone.]
Huge Rally in Bannu, Pakistan, Condemns U.S. Drone Attacks

April 20, 2009: This rally, biggest in the history of Bannu, condemned
U.S. bombing and intervention in Pakistan. It was organized by Jamaate
Islami, Pakistan's biggest Islamic movement, which is working for
peaceful resurgence of the masses.

Is India a Democracy?
by Dr. Kaukab Siddique
"Slum Dog Millionaire" Along with Dalit Voice magazine Provide Clues
to the Real India
Indians are going to the polls and India is casually described in U.S.
media as the world's biggest democracy probably owing to its population.
The reality of India is its massive poverty which is so horrific that
it boggles the imagination. The movie "Slum Dog Millionaire" gives
viewers some flavor of the scope and immensity of the suffering of the
people. The recent mujahideen raid on Mumbai [Bombay] created the
impression that Mumbai is a city of glittering hotels where rich Indian
Americans like Newsweek editor Fareed Zakaria and affluent Jews
from Israel are comfortable.
"Slum Dog" gives an aerial view of Mumbai, of several million people
living desperate lives in shanties. The movie got the highest Oscar
awards but did not attract the sympathy of America's Zionist
controlled media. One reason could be that it contains a scene of a
Hindu mob attacking the Muslim slum and setting living people on fire,
including a main character's mother.
The poor masses find solace in India's vast movie industry known as
"Bollywood." People like Amitabh Bachan, a popular film star, have fans
whom Obama would envy. The movie demolishes Bachan in a powerful scene
in which he arrives at the slum in a helicopter to give out autographs.
The masses live on illusions. Democracy in India is meaningless.
Most Indians overseas are nationalists and will not let Americans know
what is happening in India. For real insight into India, one has to
read DALIT VOICE edited by my venerable friend V.T Rajshekar. He is
brilliant, umcompromising and consistent in his exposure of human
suffering in India. He points out that India is in the death grip of
the caste system ruled by Brahmins. The Black people of India, the
Dalits, are the majority but India is ruled by a 15% Brahmin minority,
Rajshekar writes.
The extent to which India's ruling class has looted India would turn
Pakistani President Zardari green with envy. An article in the March
1-15, 2009 issue of Dalit Voice points out that Indian elites have
$1,456 billion stashed away in Swiss banks.
As for the rights of women, Rajshekar quotes from an Indian newspaper,
The Hindu, "Forty per cent of the world's child marriages take
place in India, resulting in a vicious cycle of gender discrimination,
illiteracy and high infant and maternal mortality rates."
Most people outside India do not know that India is being rent asunder
by centrifigal forces. India could easily disintegrate if Pakistan were
led by a Mahmud Ghaznavi or a Muhammad Ghori with the ability to
understand India. Notice the burden of anti-democratic force India is
using against its own people:
1. Kashmir is a Muslim state which wants to join Pakistan but is
held down by 700,000 Indian troops, the biggest occupation army in the
world. The entire Kashmiri people have been subjected to human rights
abuses by the Indian army, including rape as a weapon of terror and
suppression. Several hundred thousand Kashmirs have taken refuge
in Pakistan.
2. Khalistan. Sikhs have suffered untold suffering under Indian
rule and have wanted to create their own state known as Khalistan. They
were suppressed with the utmost brutality by the Indian army. The
holiest temple of the Sikhs was occupied and desecrated by Indian
military forces. Thousands of Sikhs died resisting India. After that
India implemented "anti-terrorism" laws in Sikh territories. Hundreds
of Sikh youths were executed in fake encounters with the police and
thousands of others suffered arbitrary prison terms.
3. Many Indians have accepted Christianity to escape the rigors
of the caste system but they have not been able to escape Hindu bigotry.
In recent years scores of churches have been burned down by Hindus, and
Christians slaughtered and nuns raped.
4. Northeastern India is in crisis with recurring uprisings of
peasants led by Maoist and Naxalite revolutionaries.
5. Muslims periodically suffer at the hands of Hindu mobs [as
shown in the Slum Dog movie]. The historic Babri mosque was demolished
by Hindu mobs organized by Brahmins on the false pretext that it was
built on the birth place of the Hindu god [a story which turned out to
be fabricated.]
Muslims are terrified in India owing to yearly attacks and
massacres, big and small, including the mass murder and rape of Muslim
women in Gujarat. They are so terrified that they are refusing to
accept and bury the bodies of the mujahideen who were killed in the
Mumbai raid.
[Dalit Voice. often complains that India's Muslim organizations
are trying to integrate into Hindu India instead of challenging the
tyranny of Hinduism.] India's upper class Muslim groups have been
issuing statements against "terrorism" [somewhat like ISNA in America]
while keeping quiet about Indian atrocties in Kashmir.
There is hope for Islam among India's Muslim youth such as those
who were part of SIM [Students Islamic Movement] which has been banned
by India. These youth groups are in touch with Black Indians [Dalits].
When a prominent African American Muslim, Hodari Abdul Ali, a friend of
mine, visited India, he was given an unprecedented welcome by both
Indian Muslim students and Black Indians [Dalits].
