Latest: January 4, 3 AM Eastern standard time. Heavy fighting
is reported as Israeli tank columns move against Gaza refugee
camps where poorly armed Palestinians are resisting the
juggernaut of naked Jewish aggression. The first Israeli
assault wave was beaten back by Hamas fighters. Israel admits
one killed 30 Israelis wounded.
1 PM: Israel has surrounded the three enclaves in Gaza, which
are Gaza city, a refugee camp in the north and a refugee camp
in the south.
6 PM: Unable to break Hamas defense, the Israeli tank offensive
came to a halt. Israel is continuing artillery attacks and
killed another 45 people in Gaza.

Overthrow of Egyptian Tyrant Hosni Mubarak is Religious
Duty of Egyptian Muslims: Hosni is Biggest Obstacle in
Resistance to Israel
Question by New Trend magazine:
Israeli forces have entered Gaza from three directions. Hamas,
the Islamic resitance forces, have neither anti-tank nor
anti-aircraft weapons. Across the border is Egypt with the
biggest Arab army in the Middle East. However, Egypt's dictator
Hosni Mubarak, instead of helping Hamas has neutralized the
Egyptian armed forces and is helping Israel in a number of
ways. He is not permitting any access from Gaza into Egypt or
from Egypt into Gaza. Thus Gaza is denied all outside support
while Israel enjoys the complete and unconditional military,
financial and media support of the U.S. Even refugees are not
being allowed into Egypt.
News sources say that the Israeli assault was planned with
support and input from Hosni. In fact the Israeli foreign
minister condemned Hamas from Cairo. The Egyptian people have
come out in every city to condemn Israel and to support Gaza,
yet the Egyptian dictator does not budge. Hosni has a track
record of random arrests of suspected opponents, detention
without time limits, torture, families of opponents held
hostage and a general process of collusion with Israel and the
U.S. Bush's men used Egypt to torture Islamic prisoners under
the "renditions" program.
What is the Islamic Ruling [Fatwa] on Hosni Mubarak.
FATWA by Imam Badi Ali: The Qur'an considers rulers who
do not rule by Islamic law as oppressors and unbelievers.
According to Islamic Law, Hosni Mubarak, is a collaborator of
the worst enemies of the Muslim ummah, and should not be ruling
a Muslim country. It is the duty, firstly, of the Egyptian army
to overthrow him and secondly it is the duty of the Egyptian
people to remove him. He is without a doubt a traitor to Islam,
a traitor to the ummah and a traitor to the Egyptian
people. In this time of terrible tragedy for the people of
Gaza, Egypt must open its border to refugees from Gaza, provide
weapons to the resistance and give access to Mujahideen wanting
to go in and fight the Israelis.
If Hosni Mubarak is not overthrown, Israel will be enabled to
continue to oppress and kill the Palestinian people. Israel
only understands force. Hamas is a problem for Israel because
it has the ability and the desire to fight back and resist.
Israel is worried that Hamas might get some weapons; hence
Israel has neutralized Egypt through Hosni Mubarak.

Defenseless Population Cooped into Tiny Shanty Towns: Hamas
Organizes Peoples' Resistance
January 3, 2009: The ground invasion of Gaza began at
1.30 Eastern Standard Time. The comparisons with the 2003
invasion of Iraq are too striking to be missed.
-
Embargo. Necessities of life reduced to a trickle.
-
Access to the outside world cut off. About 1.5 million people
put into a de facto concentration camp
-
Constant stream of Zionist propaganda against Hamas aimed at
American audiences [though Hamas has never opposed America.].
Hamas is a DEMOCRATICALLY elected government but U.S. media
never mention this fact.
-
Fuel and electricity to Gaza cut off. Hospitals degraded.
-
December 27, 2008-January 3, 2009. Bombardment by the Israeli
air force aimed at killing Islamic leaders, destruction of
civil society and terrorism from the air aimed at traumatizing
the entire population. At least 460 Palestinians killed,
2700 wounded.
Any sign of resistance by Palestinians is presented to the
American public as "terrorism." Again note the resemblance to
Iraq: The U.S. had imposed "no fly zones" and when Iraqis fired
at U.S. planes invading Iraqi air space, and this was presented
as "violation: of international law."
The mindset behind both invasions was Jewish [or Zionist if you
want to be euphemistic]. The pattern is distinct. ATTACK when
the people are so helpless that your own losses will
be negligible.
Though hopelessly outgunned and outnumbered, Hamas fighters are
resisting. By dawn in Gaza on January 4, 2 AM EST, about 13
hours after the invasion, Israel had failed to take any
significant Hamas position. However the death and destruction
in Gaza is said to be high because Israel has been using high
explosive missiles to set fires in the city. [These huge
explosions, acts of Israeli terrorism, are proudly displayed on
U.S. TV repeatedly as if some magnificent military victories
have been achieved by the Jewish army.]
Israel targeted a mosque in the Beit Lahiya area during prayers,
killing 13 people and injuring 33. [Several other mosques and
the Islamic university were bombed during the bombing phase of
the assault.]
January 3. Impressive rally in Ankara, Turkey in support of
Gaza. The Islamic giant is stirring. Turkey used to be the
sword arm of Islam before the military Generals took over and
hooked up first with the U.S. and then with Israel.

Imam Jamil Abdullah Al-Amin: An Update
On Thursday, August 2, 2007, the public learned that Imam Jamil
Al-Amin no longer was in the custody of the State of Georgia;
he had been moved, without notification to his attorneys or
family members, from the Georgia State Prison at Reidsville,
Georgia into the custody of the Federal Bureau of Prisons.
Information provided to the press indicated that Imam Jamil was
moved to Oklahoma City and then within a day to the ADMAX
federal prison in Florence, Colorado. It was only on August 15,
2007 that he was able to inform his attorneys that he was moved
from Reidsville State Prison to the Atlanta Medical Center, in
Atlanta, for two days of exploratory tests for chest pains, and
the n on to Jackson State Prison before being moved to his
final destination to the "supermax" federal prison in Florence
to be held in 23-hour lockdown.
Imam Jamil has three legal actions pending. This recent move
removes him from the Georgia area where family and friends
would be able to visit him on a regular basis. The move
continues to isolate him from other inmates and the opportunity
to worship with others, and it further imposes harsh conditions
which Imam Jamil challenged while incarcerated in the Georgia
prison system.
Attorneys have questioned the Georgia Department of Corrections
as to the reason for Imam Jamil's transfer to federal custody,
even though he has not been convicted of a federal crime. Devon
Orland, Department of Law, State of Georgia, r esponded:
"The decision to transfer Mr. Al-Amin was made in conjunction
with the federal government and was based upon legitimate
security concerns. As for the specific events that led to his
transfer I am not at liberty to discuss those but can tell you
that there were legitimate security concerns.
Neither I, nor anyone with the Department of Corrections has
control over where Mr. Al-Amin will be housed within the
federal system. He will be subject to the same rules for
transfer as any other prisoner within that system and you will
need to check with them as to his current status, likelihood of
his being housed within Georgia and rules regarding attorney
contact and legal mail. Mr. Al-Amin is in the custody of the
Federal Bureau of Prisons but is under a State of Georgia
prison sentence so "responsibility" is hard to define out of
context. The Bureau of Prisons is responsible for the care and
incarceration of Mr. Al-Amin if that is the question you
are asking..."
Pending Litigation:
Jamil Abdullah Al-Amin v. Hugh Smith
(a) On November 14, 2005, counsel for Imam Jamil Al-Amin filed
a Habeas Corpus in the Superior Court of Tattnall County, State
of Georgia. The habeas corpus action cited 14 grounds for
reversal of Imam Jamil's conviction and sentence of life
without parole.
Grounds presented included ineffective assistance of counsel
based on the failure of trial counsel to: request a change of
venue due to negative publicity; permit Imam Jamil to testify
in his own defense; investigate the confession of an
individual; challenge the issue of the prosecution striking all
persons from the jury who indicated an affiliation to Muslims;
failure of the prosecution to provide discovery to the defense;
inappropriate statements made by the prosecution regarding the
failure of Imam Jamil to testify, and his courtroom conduct by
not standing for the jury as members entered the courtroom.
Other grounds included error on the part of the judge by
denying Imam Jamil the right to counsel of his choice by
eliminating all but one of his four trial lawyers from
participating in voir dire of the jury; the opportunity to
present favorable evidence and testimony, and the opportunity
to raise prior misconduct of an FBI agent.
The habeas also challenges the government sponsored oath taken
by the grand and petit jurors and witnesses which resulted in
a conflict between religious practices and state function in
violation of the Establishment Clause and the First Amendment
to the United States Constitution. Counsel also addressed the
issue of violation of the 6th and 14th Amendments based on
jury selection procedures.
Attorneys and investigators worked during 2006 to identify
witnesses and obtain documents to present during a scheduled
February 27, 2007 habeas hearing. The hearing was held and
attorneys must continue to take depositions and to supplement
the habeas brief before the judge assigned to the case renders
a decision. The attorneys received the habeas hearing
transcript and trial record free of charge after the judge
approved pauper status requested by Imam Jamil. After
depositions are taken and presented to the Court, the judge is
expected to make a decision whether Imam Jamil is entitled to
a new trial based on evidence presented.
Jamil Abdullah Al-Amin v. Jim Wethering
(a) This case was filed to challenge Imam Jamil's confinement
in involuntary protective custody resulting in his 23-hour
lockdown status. Imam Jamil filed this 1983 action in District
Court, and on September 6, 2005, counsel filed a brief in the
U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit appealing the
decision to dismiss from the U.S. District Court of the
Northern District of Georgia. This case was dismissed.
Jamil Abdullah Al-Amin v. Hugh Smith and Sanchez-Martin
(a) This 1983 action was filed to challenge the warden and
staff of the Georgia State Prison at Reidsville for opening
legal mail sent from Attorney Karima Al-Amin outside of Imam
Jamil's presence. In November 2004, the Department of
Corrections ruled that Reidsville violated standard operating
procedures by opening mail clearly marked "legal" from Imam
Jamil's wife who is an attorney licensed to practice law in
Georgia. Opening legal mail outside of an inmate's presence is
a First Amendment violation as well as a violation of the
attorney-client privilege.
0A
(b) The District Court ruled that Georgia continued to open
Imam Jamil's legal mail from Attorney Karima Al-Amin in
violation of its standard operating procedures. The State of
Georgia appealed the decision to the 11th Circuit Court of
Appeals and the Court appointed counsel to argue the case for
Imam Jamil. Argument was held on September 20, 2007 resulting
in the 11th Circuit ruling on January 7, 2008 that the
Reidsville warden and staff violated Imam Jamil's First
Amendment rights by opening legal mail from Attorney Karima
Al-Amin outside of the Imam's presence. The State appealed to
the 11th Circuit for a rehearing, and the Court denied the
appeal. The State subsequently filed its wr it to the U.S.
Supreme Court, which was denied on October 6, 2008. Meanwhile,
the pro bono attorneys are preparing for trial and will explore
challenging the Prison Litigation Reform Act, which prevents
the Imam from receiving punitive damages. Attorneys further are
exploring filing a separate action challenging Reidsville's
effort to infringe on the Imam's right to practice his religion
while incarcerated. This action would be a RLUIPA claim.
(c) This case also addresses and merges a retaliation lawsuit
filed by Imam Jamil. The pro bono attorneys are representing
the Imam, and will consider challenging Reidsville for its
efforts, since 2002 and through the transfer to prevent the
Imam from freely exercising his right to practice his religion
in the Georgia prison system.
We are requesting assistance in challenging the decision made
by the State of Georgia to move Imam Jamil more than 1,400
miles from his legal counsel at a time when lawsuits are
pending in Georgia. Although the Federal Bureau of Prisons
maintains it will return Imam Jamil to Georgia upon Georgia's
request, Georgia is refusing to seek his return. We, therefore,
are urging individuals to contact the federal bureau to request
that the Imam be moved to a federal prison within reach of his
attorneys and family. The move out of the State of Georgia to
a federal institution that operates a behavior modification
program is seen as a punitive action on the part of the
government. Consequently, we are requesting assistance to
petition for a change to a neighboring federal facility or
Georgia prison and out of the SUPERMAX conditions.
Arab Rulers in Collusion with Zionists vs Phenomenal
Palestinian Courage
by Sis. Sofia
We'll let some facts of History talk back to these present-day
spiritually, morally and intellectually bankrupt,
self-appointed "leaders" and "rulers" of Arabs:
-
Faisal bin Al-Hussein bin Ali El-Hashemi (born 20 May, 1883 in
Ta'if, Arabia) with the help of the British and their British
agent/spy, T.E. Lawrence, organized a revolt against the
Turkish Ottoman Empire in World War I which led to the capture
of Jerusalem in 1917 by the British Army, and to the
destruction of the Caliphate.
-
On 3 January 1919, Faisal and Dr. Chaim Weizmann, President of
the World Zionist Organization, signed the Faisal-Weizmann
Agreement for Arab-Jewish Cooperation in which Faisal made this
statement: "We Arabs...look with the deepest sympathy on the
Zionist movement ... we will wish the Jews a most hearty
welcome home...."
-
It was the Saudis who invited the Brtish and the Jews into
Palestine and the Arabian Peninsula. All these three are
responsible for the destruction and death of Palestine and the
genocidal attacks of its inhabitants since 1917.
-
The refusal of Palestinians to leave their ancestral land in
spite of being attacked by Israel from the air with bombs and
rockets, having their homes bulldozed, their families
slaugthered and suffering daily deprivation of the most basic
human needs of food, water, shelter and security is heroism on
a grand scale. No people in modern history have steadfastly
stood up for their rights and looked Evil in the face with such
phenomenal physical and moral courage.
-
In a recent meeting of Arab foreign ministers at the Arab
League headquarters in Cairo on 12-31-2008 Saudi Foreign
Minister, Saud al-Faisal said, "This terrible massacre would
not have happened if the Palestinian people were united behind
one leadership, speaking in one voice....We are telling the
Palestinian brothers that your Arab nation cannot extend a real
helping hand if you don't extend your own hands to each other
with love."
-
Not only is this brain-dead Saudi Foreign Minister blaming the
victimized Palestinians even as they are being slaughtered but
he seems to be (coveniently) ignorant of his own family history,
namely that a Saudi "Faisal" fought against the Muslim Turks
and invited the British and zionist Jews into Arabia. And in
recent tmes, when Saudi and Kuwaiti "rulers" panicy at losing
their world's "goodies" dumb-wittedly invited the U.S. military
into Kuwait and Saudi Arabia. Was there any discussion of Arab
unity or brotherhood by foreign minister Faisal then?
-
The Arab leadership (in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Egypt, U.A.E.,...
you name it...) has been "neutered" by the West, their hands
tied behind their backs, their bodies in straitjackets. Don't
expect anything sensible coming from their mouths or a
noteworthy "thought" from their ossified brain cells.
These so-called political "leaders" are spiritual and moral
"paupers" of the Muslim Ummah.
Montreal Perspectives
By Jalaluddin S. Hussain
Shoe Throwing Theater:
"Block The Empire", a pacifist organization of Montreal,
organized "The Shoe Demonstration" on Saturday, the December
20, 2008, in which hundreds of Montrealers enthusiastically
participated. A "Shoe-Throwing" mock theater was enacted in
front of the U.S. Consulate, at 1155 St. Alexandre Street, in
downtown Montreal. The demostrators then marched along St.
Catherine Street, towards the West. They also demonstrated in
front of the Canadian Armed Forces Recruiting Centre, to
protest against Canadian troops, stationed in
Kandahar, Afghanistan.
Montrealers generally approve of the courageous and bold action
of journalist Muntadar al-Zeidi, who, inspite of many "embedded"
journalist in the Media Room, was able to throw his pair of
shoes right in the face of lame-duck President Bush and mention
loudly about the massacre of the innocent Iraqis, which has
gone on during the last more than 7 years! They demanded the
immediate release of the journalist, who has been tortured
before and is reportedly being tortured now, in detention.
The December 8 Quebec elections was significant in the sense
that not only the Quebec Liberal Party won a comfortable
majority by getting 66 out of 125 seats of the Quebec National
Assembly but also resulted in the 5th. time victory of Madame
Fatima Houda-Pepin, an Arab-Muslim candidate. Also, Amir
Khadir, a Muslim of Iranian origin, from the Quebec solidaire
won against the nationalist Part-quebecois candidate by a
narrow margin!
Hopefully, premier Charest, with his comfortable majority,
will be able to confront economic problems coming ahead with
confidence . Also, the Muslim members of the National Assembly,
will be able to play a constructive role in the politics of
Quebec and fully asssert their multicultural heritage in the
diverse reality of Quebec nation.

Assalam Alikum My Respected brothers and and sisters,
First of all, i would like to thank -from my heart- all our
brothers and sisters who helped us organising this fund raising
event. May Allah reward you aljannah.
The total donations alhamdulellah reached 280,000$.

This the minimum that we can present to our people in Gaza.
and I wish that this is not the last practical and beneficial
action we have toward Gaza.

Thousands of Afghans demonstrate against Israel, US.
KABUL (AFP) – January 2, 2009: Thousands of Afghans
demonstrated Friday against Israel's deadly strikes on the Gaza
Strip, chanting slogans against the Jewish state and its US
ally, and calling for the defence of Islam.
In the capital Kabul, up to 3,000 protesters gathered for
several hours outside a key mosque where they shouted "Death to
Israel", "Death to infidels" and Islamic chants such as "God is
greater," an AFP reporter witnessed.
A shot was fired at an effigy of Israeli Prime Minister Ehud
Olmert and at a toy orangutan with sneakers hanging from its
neck meant to represent US President George W. Bush, who had
shoes thrown at him in Iraq last month.
The models were both torched as were flags of Israel, Britain
and the United States.
The protesters also chanted slogans against the United States
-- a key ally of Israel -- and said the more than 30,000 US
troops in Afghanistan to help the government fight a
Taliban-led insurgency should leave.
"We are here to demonstrate against Israelis who make
Palestinians suffer," said 19-year-old Kabul student Mohammad
Shafi. "We are here to defend Islam and the Koran."
In the western city of Herat, near the border with Iran, about
1,000 men and youngsters tore up an Israeli flag, torched
banners and set alight a toy representing Israeli President
Shimon Peres, an AFP reporter witnessed.
"We think this is a war between Islam and infidels," local
religious leader Farooq Hussaini told reporters, adding he was
ready to send "mujahedeen", or religious fighters, as well as
suicide attackers to support the Palestinians.
"We have announced jihad in Herat province against those who
recognise Israel as a state and support them," he said,
apparently referring to the mainly Western soldiers deployed in
Afghanistan to fight the insurgency.
Several hundred people also demonstrated in the northern
province of Badakhshan, provincial government spokesman Mahrouf
Rasikh told AFP.
Afghanistan, which does not recognise Israel, has also
condemned the attacks in Gaza and demanded an immediate halt to
the strikes.
