Shocking news for Pak. Generals from Pakistan's war
torn north.
Please scroll to end.
Feb. 5 was Solidarity with Kashmir Day in Pakistan.
Jamaat-e-Islami held a huge rally in Karachi which was
addressed by JI leaders Prof. Ghafoor Ahmed, Syed Munawar
Hasan and Muhammad Hussain Mahnati. Another Kashmir rally in
Islamabad was addressed by top JI leader Qazi Hussain Ahmad.
The crowd tried to march to the house where the Chief Justice
of the Supreme Court is being held by Musharraf. A police
counterattack stopped that effort.
Jamaat ad-Da'wa organized rallies for the liberation
of Kashmir all over Pakistan, the biggest in Lahore addressed
by Hafiz Saeed. We have received a report on the main points
of these rallies. Please scroll way down.
Our America: [New Trend's Media Monitor]
Election Results Drama continued on TV as 52 Tornadoes
Struck: Tragedy Exposed Corporate-Zionist Media's Agenda
Most Americans do not know that south central [middle]
America suffered a great tragedy on February 5. At least 52
tornadoes hit five states. Initial figures show 52 people
killed, more than 100 injured. Entire villages and
neighborhoods were torn up.
Incredibly, television coverage of the election results
continued as if the widespread suffering of ordinary
Americans was not occurring. It was not that they were
unaware of the ongoing weather-related disaster, for
President Bush himself spoke about it. Believe it or not, he
got about THIRTY SECONDS.
The next day, February 6, the media tried to make up for the
previous day by providing extensive footage of the
multi-million dollar damage. Through the horrendous suffering
of ordinary Americans, the media kept their focus on the
election drama they are feeding the American people.
[If the tornadoes had hit New York or Los Angeles where
Zionists have their strongholds, the coverage would have been
very different. Usually the TV media break their programming
to cover sexual or criminal activities, but elections are
their "thing" and they could not break. Compare with how much
air time has been given to the stories Britney Spears and
Natalie Holloway]
Q & A
Does Islam permit participation in the American power
structure, inviting Democrats/Republicans into Islamic
Centers, voting for them?
Question: From a long phone message, from a caller who
refused to give his name, we got this: "Why do you oppose
everything? Islam says we should talk nicely with people of
the Book. All religious scholars are agreed on this. Why you
oppose ISB [Islamic Society of Baltimore] visit by
candidates? Be positive. Do something good or close down New
Trend. This is too much."
Answer by Kaukab Siddique: Asalamu alaikum. Dear
brother Islam is based on the Qur'an as interpreted by the
Prophet Muhammad, pbuh, through his noble Companions and
Ahlul Bait, may Allah bless them all. Look at the life of
Muhammad, pbuh. He sacrificed everything but would not become
part of the un-Islamic anti-Islamic power structure. Even Abu
Talib could not persuade him to become part of the oppressive
power structure. Be assured that:
-
Voting, participation in, and any kind of cooperation with
the electoral system of America is FORBIDDEN outright
[haram] without any ifs and buts.
-
There was absolutely no question of Muhammad, pbuh, voting
for and joining in any way with Abu Jahl, Abu Lahab or
Abu Sufian.
These are not matters for debate. The Qur'an has left no area
of doubt when it comes to cooperation, even the SLIGHTEST
COOPERATION, with oppressors. America's power structure does
not accept the SOVEREIGNTY of Allah. We are not allowed to
cooperate even with MUSLIM governments which do not accept
Allah Almighty as the Law Giver and the Prophet, pbuh, as the
ultimate interpreter of Allah's Law. Remember that modern
Islamic movements rejected cooperation with Muslim regimes
which did not accept Allah as the Sovereign. See the
triumphant struggle of Maulana Maudoodi in Pakistan, Syed
Qutb in Egypt and Imam Khomeini in Iran.
The Democrats and the Republicans have committed great crimes
against the people of America, both Muslims and non-Muslims.
They have violated international law and all the standards of
decency by sending their occupation armies into Iraq and
Afghanistan. They have destroyed Somalia. They have
undermined Sudan. They support all the regimes of tyranny,
torture and murder of Muslim peoples in Egypt, Pakistan,
Jordan, Tunisia, Algeria, Saudi Arabia, Chechnia, Kashmir,
Uzbekistan, South Thailand, Philippines, etc.
Why do we have to continue to tell ISNA, CAIR, ISB etc what
the Qur'an clearly states? Is it okay to bring DAJJAL into
our Islamic centers? is it okay to bring the Shayateen into
our Islamic centers? These arrogant cliques should fear Allah
otherwise, remember, the punishment from Allah is very
severe indeed.
Just for itmam-e-hujjat, for the sake of the innocents who
are often misled by these cliques, let us note what the
Qur'an says about cooperation of any kind with oppressors:
"And incline not to those who oppress, or the Fire will touch
you, and you have no protectors other than Allah, nor shall
you be helped." [The Qur'an 11:113.]
Islamic scholars are unanimous that the emphasis in this
verse is on "incline not" [in Arabic La Tarakanu].
Thus Islam pre-empts any actual cooperation with oppressors.
Any INCLINATION or DESIRE for such leaning towards oppressors
is an invitation to the FIRE.
As for MASJIDS [mosques], these are meant for worship of
Allah. Any attempt by unbelievers to bring their campaigns
into mosques is OUT OF THE QUESTION. The Prophet, pbuh, did
invite unbelievers into the masjid to listen to and
understand Islam. ISNA, CAIR and ISB should be taught that
such permissions do not apply to the election campaigns of
the unbelievers brought into the masjids to get the support
of Muslim worshippers for their satanic system. ISNA, CAIR,
ISB bosses who have this mindset of cooperation are not fit
to run any masjid. The Qur'an rules out any non-Muslim
intrusions as well as leadership of Muslims who are afraid of
anyone other Allah. Here it is:
"The mosques of Allah shall be visited and maintained by such
as believe in Allah and the Last Day, establish regular
prayers, and fear none except Allah. It is they who are
expected to be on true guidance." [The Qur'an 9: 18]
Muslims under the influence of ISNA, CAIR and ISB are misled
by their leaders into thinking that "interfaith dialogue"
with Christians and Jews is encouraged by Islam. They do not
know that their leaders [misleaders] are distorting the
Qur'an and leaving out what goes against their NAFS. Here is
what the Qur'an says [I have underlined and italicized the
portion which the misleaders consistently leave out, although
it is part of the same verse. This is their NIFAQ.]
" And dialogue with the People of the Book only in the best
way, except with those of them who are oppressors, but
say "We believe in the Revelation which has come down to us
and in that which came down to you: Our God and your God is
One: and it is to Him we submit [in Islam]."
[The Qur'an 29: 46.]
ISNA, CAIR, ISB etc should stop trying to fool Muslims. Calls
to vote for the oppressors and enemies of Islam is KUFR. All
these are supporters of Israel, of the occupiers of Iraq and
Afghanistan. There is no question of dialogue with them:
"O ye who believe! Take not my enemies and yours as
protecting friends, offering them love, even though they have
rejected the Truth that has come to you and have driven out
the Messenger and yourselves because ye believe in Allah your
Lord!....." [The Qur'an 60:1]
Remember that Muslims are ONE UMMAH. What the oppressors have
done to Muslims worldwide, they have done to us too. Do you
not see the prisons of America full of Muslims. How dare
ISNA, CAIR, ISB invite the Democrats and Republicans when
Imam Jamil is in prison, when Imam Warith Deen Umar has been
wronged so deeply, when scholars like Dr. Ali Timimi and Dr.
Kifah al-Jayyousi and Ahmed 'Abdel Sattar are in prison.
It is time to remind the Muslims of America that no kind of
subservience to the People of the Book is acceptable. Allah
Almighty has made it clear. Why did He send the Qur'an? Here
is the answer:
"That the People of the Book may know that they have no power
whatever over the Blessing of Allah, that His Blessing is
entirely in His Hand, to bestow it on whomsoever He wills,
for Allah is the Lord of Great Blessing." [The Qur'an 57:29]
Peace and tolerance do not mean subservience and uniformity.
America is our land because it is Allah's land. Everything
belongs to Him. While we live in peace and make friends with
those who are NOT oppressors, we must tell the people in
power, very clearly, in the words of the Qur'an:
"Say: O ye who reject Faith! I worship not that which ye
worship, nor will ye worship that which I worship. And I will
not worship that which ye have been wont to worship. Nor will
ye worship that which I worship. To you be your way, and to
me mine." [The Qur'an 109:1-6.]
This line of separation is a requirement for authentic
tolerance and mutual respect.
Even under Communism, Muslims did not behave in the abject
and shameful way being practiced by ISNA, CAIR and ISB. They
either went into hiding or kept quiet, other than the very
few who were the mouthpieces of the Communist Party. Only the
Qadianis thought of the British as these misleaders do about
the American power structure.

I read your article about Makkah learning centre and ISB.
ISB has nothing to do with this centre. This ISA (Islamic

kufr activity from being carried on at its premises.
The Kite Runner: The Movie with a Purpose
Comment by Dr. Ali Khan, Topeka, Kansas [By special
permission to New Trend]
The Hollywood has turned the novel, The Kite Runner,
written by an Afghan-American into a movie. The picturesque
movie, more than the prosaic novel, strives hard to sow the
seeds of ethnic hatred, sectarian hostility, and possibly
violence between diverse national groups of Afghanistan.
According to the story, the Sunni bully rapes the Shia boy.
The Sunni rapist belongs to the dominant ethnic group, called
Pushtuns. The sodomized boy is the member of a minority
ethnic group, known as Hazarajat. When the Taliban come to
power, the Sunni rapist joins the puritanical movement and
becomes a state official---but continues to rape boys. To
perhaps make the story attractive to Hollywood filmmakers,
the Sunni rapist bully---blond and blue-eyed---is shown to be
the son of Afghan father and German mother-a crude suggestion
that when Muslims marry Germans, demons are born.
The movie is presumably hate speech, allowed under the First
Amendment of the United States Constitution. It is unclear
whether the movie would be a violation of Article 20 of the
International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, which
prohibits "any advocacy of national, racial or religious
hatred that constitutes incitement to discrimination,
hostility or violence." The government of Afghanistan has
banned the movie.
Ed note: Khalid Hosseini, an Afghan Shi'ite living in
California wrote the hate-filled book titled the Kite Runner.
Where are the California-based Qazwini and Muzzamil Siddiqui,
supporters of U.S. "liberation" forces? They said they were
against sectarian conflict. Countless copies of this trashy
book have been sold with not a word of protest from Qazwini
and Muzzammil.
Letter: Saddened Reader Thinks Zionist Control of America
is a Done Deal: Clinton-Obama-McCain: Nothing really New
Dr. Siddique,
I just finished reading your "New Trend" newsletter and was
in total agreement with your sizing up of the U.S. candidates
running for President. I think we have to face the fact that
the Zionist control the U.S. It's a done deal. They also
control W. Europe, Australia and Canada and heaven knows what
other countries. The Gentiles are like sheep, thus the
Zionist have all of the power. All we can do is sit back
while this evil tsunami waves over this generation. I don't
think there is anyone/nation out there that can stand up to
these people as they have control of the money institutions
of the world, the media and finances backing politicians. The
holocaust has been their trump card as they continue to cry
victimization, victimization. Picketing and the internet just
aren't strong enough to make a difference. We are labeled
anti-semitic. This time they have won, and soon their kingdom
will occupy this planet, which they have always wanted since
the time of Christ. Unfortunately, I think we are going for a
New World Order and there will be a lot of persecution. It
certainly isn't God's will that this happen; thus they must
be working with the enemy of God.

Re: Obama and Hillary Have Same Bottom Line
Mohtram Kaukab Bhai, Asalamu alaikom
Your comments about Obama and Clinton's race for White House
are suberb and very correct.
Both are the feathers of the same bird, pro corporate
interests and not friendly at all to Muslims of America, or
of the world at large.
Just for information, I would like to add that the profit of
the oil companies was 40 billion in 2007, not 4 billion.
Perhaps this was a printing mistake.

31 Days long ISNA/Saudi Months
ISNA's decision to tie the start of Islamic months in N.
America to Saudi-fixed dates has created a quandary for the
Muslim masses. The Islamic months become 31 days long.
Saudi's admit it:
http://www.phys.uu.nl/~vgent/islam/ummalqura.htm
In some cases the advancement of the month can result in a
month length of 31 days which is awkward as traditional
Islamic sources only allow month lengths of 29 or 30 days. In
such cases one of the days in the month is reckoned twice.
For instance both Friday 28 December 2007 as Saturday 29
December 2007 were reckoned as
19 Dhþ'l-Hijja 1428 AH.
The Muslims who celebrated Eid al-Fitr on Friday, Oct. 12,
2007, and Eid al-Adha on Wed. Dec. 19, 2007 had to extend
Shawwal and D. Hijja both months to 31 days. Saudis started
Muharram 1429 on Thursday, Jan. 10, 2008 and made two solar
dates (Dec. 28 and Dec. 29 2007) as one Islamic date. This is
not the first time Saudis adjusted their calendar. In the
last 50 years they have done it hundreds of times, without
any public announcement. What ISNA Fiqh Council has to say
now that its blind following of Saudi dates has messed up
Ramadan fast and Eidain for the last two consecutive years?
A-Jazeera aired a program on the absurdity of Saudi
sightings. It can be watched in Arabic.

COMMUNITY REPORT AND UPDATE : FEBRUARY/MARCH 2008
IMAM JAMIL AL-AMIN (the former H. Rap Brown) is
approaching his eighth year of Political Internment. An
infamous police stop (driving while black) in
SPRING '99, a court closing due to a snow storm in
January 2000, a bench warrant for non-appearance at that
court date, and a shooting incident led to Imam Jamil's
current predicament. On MARCH 16, 2000, he was
unjustly arrested. He was convicted, and slapped with the
inhumane sentence of LIFE WITHOUT PAROLE plus thirty five
years in MARCH 2002. After being forced to serve
five-and-a half years in Administrative Segregation (23-hour
per day lock-down, with no human contact) at the State Prison
in Reidsville (Georgia's notorious K-Block), he was
transferred to the MAXIMUM SECURITY FEDERAL PRISON at
FLORENCE, COLORADO known as the SUPERMAX in
AUGUST 2007. His housing conditions remain 23-hour
lock down, no human contact, silence, five social visits per
month, two phone calls per month, and denial of all MEDIA
requests for interviews. Although he has no contact with
them, he is joined by many other POLITICAL PRISONERS who are
well known Muslim leaders, as well as leaders in the struggle
for self-determination: Doctor Mutulu Shakur, Imam Malik
Khaba (Jeff Fort), Brother Sekou Odinga, Larry Hoover, leader
of Growth and Discipline (the formerly the Gangster
Disciples), and Dr. Malakai Z. York, to name just a few. Due
to all these leaders representing legitimate "peoples
struggles," FLORENCE SUPER MAX is being referred to as the
state-side GUANTANAMO.
IMAM JAMIL AL-AMIN's transfer into federal custody and to the
SUPERMAX comes on the heels of some hard fought victories:
(1) The 11th Circuit Court of Appeals ruled in Imam Jamil's
favor against the prison at Reidsville in regard to a suit
filed to disallow them from continuing to open his
legal mail.
(2) The groundswell of support for the Imam, developing into
phone call ins, postal and e-mail write-ins bringing the
offices at Reidsville Prison and Department of Corrections to
a virtual standstill along with the periodic protest
demonstrations that would cause Reidsville, the town and the
Prison to shut down.

Black Cat in a Dark Room: Answering Latest Propaganda
Gambit against Saddam Hussain: "60 Minutes" January 27
Dear Dr. Siddique,
Congratulations on being the first publication that I have
seen that has laid bare the entire duplicity of the
Democratic Party, in particular the methods and motives of
Barak Obama. I have been saying for some time now that Obama
has complained too much about the accusations that he is a
Muslim. He is not and he should have only had to state that
once and close the subject. Unfortunately, his constant
denials, to me, mean that he considers Islam a negative
influence. He is just as big an anti-Islam bigot as any
right-wing talk show host.
I am glad to see that you mentioned the Democratic Party's
lack of endorsement of reparations for black Americans. I can
proudly state that I was an organizer of the first ever Black
Reparations Awareness Day in San Diego in February 1995.
Since then, it has become an annual event. Also, I can
proudly state that I was the only Caucasian at the first
three conferences.
In the U.S., the word "holocaust" is used exclusively to
portray the deaths of Jews in World War II. However, there
were two holocausts on U.S. soil that made the Jewish one
pale in comparison. About 100 million black Africans died
because of the result of slavery. In addition, about 30
million Native Americans were killed and had their nations
stolen because of the programs of the Roman Catholic Church
and the following agendas of European invaders. I hope I live
to see the day when the word "holocaust" is commonly used to
describe these despicable events, but I doubt that
will happen.
I have included an article that may interest you. It delves
into the recent allegations that Saddam Hussein and the
Ba'ath never came clean about being free of WMD in order to
bluff the world. This is a total fabrication made only
to try to make the real liars (U.S. government) look like
they were hoodwinked.
Sincerely,
Jeff Archer

A BLACK CAT IN A DARK ROOM
Here comes more revisionist history. An FBI agent, George
Piro, interviewed Saddam Hussein while he was in U.S.
captivity. Now, Piro wants to cash in on the experience and
claim his 15 minutes of fame just as many other vultures
have, all the time belittling Saddam. On January 27, he
appeared on the U.S. TV show "60 Minutes."
According to Piro, Saddam was bluffing the world and wanted
everyone, especially the Iranians, to think Iraq still
possessed WMD. If you remember, when no WMD were found in
Iraq in 2003, the political left, in cahoots with the U.S.
administration, heralded the same scenario. The dirty ba...rd
Saddam again was devious.
This assumption is absurd. Its only use is to disguise the
fact that Iraq had on many occasions stated it was WMD-free.
But, because few people heard the previous declarations, they
now believe some career stooge who makes up stories.
Another of Piro's gems is that Saddam did not think the U.S.
would invade Iraq and only would bomb the country for a few
days. Again, horse merde. If this was true, why did the Iraqi
government issue six months of rations to its populace? Also,
on April 9, 2003, U.S. troops took over Baghdad. The first
recorded resistance attack occurred on April 10, 2003. If
Saddam did not think Iraq would be invaded, why was there an
organized resistance in operation the day after the
"fall of Baghdad?"
When one looks back at statements and articles by Iraqis
during the period of 1991 to 2003, it is uncanny how accurate
they were. On the other hand, most, if not all, of what the
U.S. put forward has been shown to be nothing less than
outright lies.
For instance, in October 2002, the U.S. issued a document
called "Key Judgments: National Intelligence Estimate." It
concluded that Iraq was constantly developing its stockpile
of weapons of mass destruction and, at times, maintained that
the 2002 inventory of Iraqi WMD may be larger than that of
the country prior to 1991. The report included many
doomsday scenarios.
This document was publicized world-wide. Virtually every
daily newspaper in the U.S. carried it, or excerpts from
it. Many foreign countries saw it as well and it helped
convince some leaders who were on the fence about whether to
support a war or not to come aboard the U.S. ship. In looking
at the document today, one would have a hard time finding
even one bit of truth. Even U.S. administration officials
admitted it was way off; after the illegal invasion,
of course.
On the other hand, in November 2002, the Iraqi Foreign
Minister, Naji Sabri, sent a letter to the United Nations
refuting the report. Then, he gave in detail the standing of
Iraq in regards to its WMD. He mentioned when they were
destroyed and how programs were never re-started. The U.S.
called the letter a big lie and condemned the Iraqis for
again trying to pull the wool over the eyes of the world. In
looking at the letter today, it is extremely accurate in
every detail.
Sabri's letter received little attention, other than the
obligatory denouncement by the U.S. Few people read it.
When Iraq and the U.S. shared diplomatic ties in the 1980s,
Nizar Hamdoon was the Iraqi Ambassador to the U.S. In
Washington, he was well-regarded and built many friendships.
In the 1990s, with no diplomatic ties between the two
countries, Hamdoon was called back to action and served as
the Iraqi Ambassador to the U.N. In 2000, he was replaced and
called back to Baghdad to serve in the Foreign Service.
Hamdoon was very visible in the U.S. and many people remember
him from television appearances, although he was usually
lambasted by interviewers. His was a lonely job. On July 4,
2003, a few months after the illegal U.S. invasion of Iraq,
Hamdoon died of cancer.
Let's go to back to the latter part of 1998. The U.S. was
accusing Iraq of concealing the most deadly chemicals on
Earth and in December, Clinton ordered the bombing of Iraq
and called the procedure Operation Desert Fox. Most people
remember this as the "Iraq/U.N. standoff." Even the method of
removing the inspectors from Iraq was a lie. The U.N. ordered
the inspectors from Iraq a few days before the bombing, yet
the U.S. always stated that Saddam Hussein kicked
them out.
During this time, Nizar Hamdoon wrote an op-ed piece for the
New York Times called "A Black Cat in a Dark Room."
The paper carried it, yet few people took it seriously. This
piece was written almost five years before the March 2003
invasion, so no one can say that Iraq only decided to come
clean on the eve of war. The New York Times is a
publication that has millions of readers worldwide, so no one
can claim that the message was not publicized. Hamdoon was
not vague in his telling the world that Iraq was free
of WMD.
Go back to the time and refresh your memory and you will see
how exact and precise Hamdoon was in his assessment. He did
not lie, yet few listened.
A BLACK CAT IN A DARK ROOM
by Nizar Hamdoon
Much has been said and published about recent standoffs
between Iraq and the United Nations arms inspectors. But
those criticizing Iraq for suspending its cooperation with
the United Nations special commission on arms inspection,
better known as Unscom, give no recognition whatsoever to the
underlying reason that led Iraq to adopt this position. It is
time to set the record straight.
First, the whole world knows by now that Iraq has lost well
over a million of its people as a direct result of the
sanctions that have been in place for eight years. A former
president of the United States, Woodrow Wilson, was
chillingly correct when he called sanctions a "peaceful,
silent and deadly remedy." U.S. Secretary of State
Madeleine Albright herself characterized them as "the
toughest multilateral sanctions in history." Many critics
seem to think the government of Iraq is supposed to stand
idle while watching a whole generation of its people melt
away like snowflakes.
Second, Iraq has complied with all the fundamental
requirements of disarmament in Security Council Resolution
687. Unscom itself admitted this reality in its April 11,
1997 report to the Security Council when it said, "The
accumulated effect of the work that has been accomplished
over six years since the cease fire went into effect between
Iraq and the coalition is such that not much is unknown about
Iraq's proscribed weapons capabilities." But the United
States and Britain refuse to recognize this fact. Their role
in preventing the Security Council from closing the clearly
done nuclear file a few months ago is a case in point.
The disagreement between Iraq and the inspectors is not on
existing weapons. No weapons or sites have been discovered by
the Unscom inspectors on their own since 1991. Those that
have been found have been produced by the Iraqi government
itself. Rather, the recent disputes involve paper
documentation that precedes the gulf war. Those issues can be
pursued in the context of the already established ongoing
monitoring regime.
There are two main questions that need to be asked when
assessing Iraq's compliance with disarmament requirements:
does Iraq still possess proscribed weapons or the means to
produce them, and is the monitoring process working? The
answer is no to the first, yes to the second. Unscom's
allegations about documentation are nothing but excuses to
manufacture a crisis whenever one is needed to prolong
the sanctions.
Iraq has said all along that there must be a creative way to
reconcile the two goals: the need for more documentation and
the easing of the suffering of the Iraqi people. Unscom,
unfortunately, is insisting on everything or nothing.
Iraq will never be able to satisfy Unscom because it is being
asked to prove the negative: that it does not have any more
weapons. There is, of course, no way Iraq can prove that it
has nothing if it has nothing. How many more Iraqis will have
to die because Richard Butler's team has not yet found
another document, which cannot be located because there is no
such document in the first place? The inspectors are
searching for a black cat in a dark room where the cat does
not exist.
Third, many American officials have stated that even if Iraq
complies with the Security Council's resolutions, the United
States will not approve the lifting of sanctions. The
declared goal of Washington is to remove the current
government of Iraq. We wonder if this goal is in line with
the letter and spirit of international law and the United
Nations resolutions. Iraq continues to believe that the
resolutions are used by the United States as a cover for an
illegal political agenda. The allocation of money to the
Central Intelligence Agency for subversion in Iraq is just a
unit in this series. One might wonder why Iraq should
continue being part of this futile and endless game.
Fourth, Ms. Albright claims that every Iraqi receives a
daily ration basket equivalent to the recommended caloric
intake of the average American. Perhaps she needs to
review the latest reports by the United Nations and other
organizations which state that millions of Iraqi children and
women are still suffering and that the oil-for-food program
is not adequate. For instance, the 1998 World Disaster Report
by the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent
Societies described Iraq as a country under siege and said 16
to 27 percent of the population is malnourished.
Finally, many high-ranking American officials keep speaking
about Iraq as being a threat to American interests and the
region. We would like to assure these officials, and through
them the American people, that Iraq is eager to live in peace
with its neighbors and the world. But Iraq will not submit to
intimidation, bullying and coercion. Peace will come only
through dialogue based on mutual respect for the principles
of independence, sovereignty and the observance of
international law.
Unanimous Declaration Adopted at the Kashmir
Solidarity Rally
LAHORE - Tuesday, 26th Muharram, 1429 - February 05, 2008
A Kashmir Solidarity Rally was organized by Jama't-ud-Da'wah
in 32 major cities of Azad Kashmir and Pakistan on February
5, 2008. Apart from Jama't-ud-Da'wah's central leadership,
leaders of other religious and political organizations,
including representatives of both factions of the All
Parties Hurriyet Conference, as well as members of the
core leadership of the Muttahiddah Jihad Council
addressed the gathering, while Syed Ali Geelani and
Shabbir Shah addressed the gathering via phone. The
rally was attended by thousands of people. Jama't-ud-Da'wah
has also organized Kashmir Solidarity Camps throughout the
country and the public fervently flocked to local rallies
which were held at numerous locations. The largest rally was
held in front of Masjid-e-Shuhadaa on the historic
Shahrah-e-Qaid-e-Azam and was addressed by Ameer,
Jama't-ud-Da'wah Pakistan, Prof. Hafiz Muhammad Saeed.
The following declaration was unanimously adopted at the
Kashmir Solidarity Rally. An identical declaration was also
unanimously adopted at all public rallies in 32 cities.
Following are the points of the joint declaration which
represents the combined voice of the people of Pakistan and
Azad Kashmir:
We express solidarity with the Kashmiri people in their just
struggle for independence from illegal Indian occupation and
assure them of our complete support and assistance.
The 700,000 Indian troops in Kashmir are an occupation force
which has usurped the rights of the Kashmiri people. Every
Indian soldier in Kashmir is a 'terrorist in uniform', while
the Indian government is involved in 'state sponsored
terrorism' in occupied Kashmir. The whole Pakistani nation
salutes Kashmiri freedom fighters who are bravely resisting
state sponsored terrorism and its terrorists in uniform.
We commend the efforts of the dynamic leadership on the
political front for Kashmir's freedom and expect that they
will never loose sight of their objective by becoming a
victim of some crafty Indian ploy.
We salute those who have sacrificed their lives in
confrontation with Indian occupation forces. Martyrs of the
Kashmir Jihad are a mark of pride for the whole Muslim Ummah.
The silence of the United Nations and the International
Community regarding the Kashmir issue is highly condemnable
and the people of Kashmir and Pakistan are justified in their
belief that the United Nations only takes action on those
resolutions which protect the interests of the United States.
The indifference displayed by the International Community
regarding human rights abuses by India are proof that all the
hue and cry and all claims regarding human rights are voiced
merely for the sake of slandering Islam, while there is
nothing for Muslims in these slogans.
Restrictions imposed on Kashmiri Jihadi organizations by the
Pakistani government are wrong. These restrictions must
be removed.
India has been able to put up a fence on the Line of Control
during the ceasefire. This is tantamount to dividing Jammu
and Kashmir, while India is also constructing fortified
bunkers at the Line of Control in an attempt to turn the Line
of Control into a permanent border. We demand that the
ceasefire be called off and India should be compelled through
the use of force to desist form any illegal actions at the
Line of Control.
Pakistan and India should allow free movement of Kashmiris on
both sides of the Line to Control, as this is one of their
fundamental rights.
Kashmir is Pakistan's 'jugular vein, and Pakistan will remain
insecure as long as its jugular vein is in the clutches of
its arch enemy.
Not only any trade relations with India, at any level, but
the train and bus services between India and Pakistan must
also be discontinued until the Kashmir issue is resolved.
The OIC should play a leading role for the freedom of
Kashmir. The formation merely of an observer group is not
sufficient in this regard. The Kashmir issue should be at
the top of the agenda at the next meeting of the OIC.
Moreover, member states of the OIC should realize that
India's hands are thoroughly covered with the blood of
Kashmiri Muslims, before they decide to establish any trade
relations with India.
