THOUGHT of the Day: April 14, 2007. CNN Headline News:
Jewish Holocaust Museum is working through google to spread the
idea that genocide is going on in Darfur, Sudan.
New Trend observers say that pro-Israeli publicists have take the bogus
Darfur story down to the High School and Middle School level in America.
The grounds have been prepared for massive intervention in Sudan and
all of Africa.
Where are our African-American brothers/sisters? Have they been fooled
by this propaganda deluge? As Br. Hodari Ali [Give Peace a Chance, GPAC]
and other Islamic visitors to Sudan have shown, the genocide story is
a lie. We must counter this Zionist story which aims at deflecting
attention from the horrific tragedies being enacted in Somalia,
Palestine, Iraq and Afghanistan.
What they don't want you to know: Young Swede Muslimah reveals: U.S.
forces behind oppression of Islamic Somalis in Kenya. This report was
censored by major media.

Music in Auschwitz? Evidence slips out. Growing indications even in
conformist media that the story of gas chambers may not have been
true.

May 19: Jamaat al-Muslimeen Shoora Theme: Masjid al-Aqsa:
Zionism and Sacrilege
From Imam Badi Ali:The National Shoora meeting in Greensboro on May 19
will have for its theme: MASJID al-AQSA's Defense and Liberation,
inshallah. The Third Holiest Masjid of Islam is under Zionist-Jewish
assault. America's Muslim groups, heavily infiltrated by anti-Islam
forces, are silent. Jamaat al-Muslimeen leads the way in focus on
Masjid al-Aqsa.
Big Support for Prof. Sami al-Arian in North Carolina: Free Him Now:
Charges of Terrorism were Bogus
April 1-10, 2007: Jamaat al-Muslimeen leader Badi Ali led an effort to
mobilize support for the release of Prof. Sami Al-Arian. Numerous
non-Muslims joined the effort. More than 500 cards have been sent to
Congressmen in the area demanding the release of Br. Sami al-Arian.
Readers might remember charges of terrorism were dropped against him
but he is still being held owing to the vindictive behavior of Zionists
in the U.S. power structure.
OUTREACH in Greensboro, North Carolina: Remember the Hereafter:
Do Zikr Allah. Honor Women as Equals in ALL Islamic Endeavors.
500 Addressed by Dr. Kaukab Siddique:
One Allah, One Leader, pbuh, One Ummah
April 13, 2006. The Islamic Center of the Triad was packed with
worshippers on Juma'. Dr. Siddique gave the khutba for 40 minutes and
then led the prayers. After the prayer, he led the community in a
dua' for the victory of Islamic resistance in Kashmir, Chechnya,
Afghanistan, Iraq and Somalia, for the unity and stability of Sudan
and for the defeat and dismantling of the Zionist terrorist entity
known as Israel.
Dr. Siddique urged the Muslims to use legal and peaceful methods to
defeat Zionist power in America. He called for the boycott of
businesses which support Israel, such as Coca Cola, McDonalds,
Starbucks and Disney.
In his khutba, Dr. Siddique talked at length about spiritual
values, the certainty of the Hereafter and the unity of the Muslim
ummah under the Law of Allah and the leadership of Muhammad Mustafa,
peace be on him.
A Pakistani brother distributed copies of Jamaat al-Muslimeen's
Milwaukee resolutions supporting Muslim political prisoners and giving
a detailed analysis of the shameful and unjust persecution of Canadian
holocaust denier Ernst Zundel now imprisoned in Germany. Flyers about
Jamaat al-Muslimeen's program and boycott brochures about pro-Israel
businesses were also distributed.
Most of the audience were from Sudan, Somalia, Palestine, Lebanon and
Egypt.
Muslim Link's Missing Link: Starbucks Does not Support Israel? [!]
New Trend published a first person account of a fundraiser by Muslim
Link, a local paper distributed in the Maryland area. The paper backed
by a $3,000,000 mosque complex, Darrussalam, in College Park, milked
the local Muslim community for its deficit of $118,000.
The Muslim Link has not responded to this serious criticism. Instead,
in its latest issue, the paper attacked Jamaat al-Muslimeen's call for
Muslims to boycott STARBUCKS for supporting Israel. Muslim Link's
editors are either totally ignorant or they are working with the
Zionist Jews. Here is what they published from one Tariq Nelson,
who blatantly claims that Starbucks does not support Israel:
"How many of you have heard that Starbucks and Coca-Cola (and others)
are supporting the Israeli army with their profits? These rumors reach
such a fever pitch that the companies are forced to put denials on
their web sites - often to no avail."
"Although we may not have forwarded the stupid email or agreed with
the insane flyer some random brother may be passed around, we did not
tell the person who was spreading it that it was false information
and advise them to stop."
"So next time you are admonished for buying Starbucks coffee because
they are allegedly supporting the IDF with each purchase, just kindly
inform them that that rumor is false and try to advise them to stop
spreading that rumor. "Tariq Nelson lives in Northern Virginia.
Jamaat al-Muslimeen had to take notice of Nelson's naivete because
Jamaat al-Muslimeen is spearheading the Islamic movement's boycott of
Starbucks in the U.S. and distributing flyers to boycott Coca Cola
as well.
Even politically aware non-Muslims know that Starbucks supports Israel.
We published evidence of this in 2002, then again in 2004 and 2006.
Perhaps Tariq Nelson and Muslimeen Link were asleep or working with
the Zionists. Here is an excerpt from New Trend in 2004.

Jamia Hafsa Islamic Women's Stand Supported by Jamaat-ud-Daawah
The real enemies of Islam have been unmasked
- Hafiz Saeed Addresses Huge Juma Prayer Gathering
LAHORE [Chauburgi], Pakistan - 24th Rabi-ul-Awwal, 1428 - April 13, 2007
Ameer, Jamaat-ud-Daawah Pakistan, Hafiz Muhammad Saeed, has said the
government should implement Shariah in the country, instead of
planning an operation against Jamia Hafsa. He said there is a huge
gap between the perception of the rulers and that of the common
people of Pakistan. He said, in these times, Muslims rulers have
themselves become the biggest nuisance for the Muslims of the world.
He said foreign powers want to see a continuation of the rule of
anti-Jihad and anti-Islam rulers in Pakistan. He said that those
who shy away from giving sacrifices ultimately end up being defeated.
He urged the rulers and people of Pakistan to seek guidance from the
Sunnah of the Prophet, sallillah hu alaihi wa sallam.
During his Khutbah before Friday Prayers at Jamia Masjid Al
Qadsia in Chowburji, Lahore, Hafiz Saeed said it is the responsibility
of the government to implement Allah, Subhana Hu wa Ta'Aalah's
Laws in this country, but he said, it is saddening and highly
unfortunate that if the administration of Jamia Hafsa announces
that they are going to form a Shariah Court in the Lal Masjid,
they are ridiculed and threatened with the use of force. He said
although the country faces external threats, yet internal challenges
faced by Pakistan seem to be much more serious. He said if Shariah
is implemented in the country, there will be an immediate reduction
in both the internal disorder, as well as, external adversities,
because when the masses in any nation become united, they are able
to withstand and confront any external threat to their freedom,
independence, and ideology.
Hafiz Saeed said the war between Islam and the Kuffar is raging
in every part of the globe, and it is because of the sacrifices made
by Muslims in this war against Islam that the enemy has been completely
unmasked. He said the rapidly changing global situation requires the
utmost patience and perseverance from Muslims, and they should turn
towards Allah, Subhana Hu wa Ta'Aalah and earnestly seek His
forgiveness and mercy whenever they find themselves confronted by
adverse conditions. He said one observes the same message and
example if one seeks guidance from the Prophet, sallillah hu
alaihi wa sallam's tradition.
Hafiz Muhammad Saeed said the enemies of Islam want to see those people
in power in Pakistan who will promote their self-styled agendas of
permissiveness, liberalism, immorality, and 'enlightened moderation',
which are totally incompatible and inconsistent with the tenets of
Islam and the basic ideology of this country. He said there is no
dearth of hypocrites who distort Islam, but there are people, even
in this day and age, who are ready to give the ultimate sacrifice for
the sake of Islam, just as there were in the time of the Prophet,
sallillah hu alaihi wa sallam. He urged Muslim scholars to
realize and fulfill their obligation of awakening and educating the
Ummah about the modern challenges faced by Islam and Muslims.

Swedish Teen Muslimah Says: U.S. troops Led Operation
Behind the Oppression of Somali Islamic Refugees in Kenya
By KARL RITTER, Associated Press Writer Thu Apr 12, 4:47 PM ET
STOCKHOLM, Sweden - A Swedish teenager who was imprisoned for weeks
with alleged terror suspects in Ethiopia said in an interview
published Thursday that Americans in military uniform directed the
Kenyan soldiers who took her into custody on the Somali-Kenyan border
The statements by 17-year-old Safia Benaouda were the first to describe
a broader U.S. role in the detentions. Other detainees have said they
were taken into custody by Kenyans and transferred to Ethiopia, a U.S.
counterterrorism ally.
Benaouda said three men in U.S. uniforms led the Kenyan troops who
detained her and other women and children fleeing Somalia on Jan. 18.
"After the American soldiers had detained us they kept in the background,
but it was very clear that they were the ones in charge," Benaouda, who
was freed from an Ethiopian prison March 27, was quoted as saying by
the Stockholm daily Svenska Dagbladet.
Benaouda did not answer calls from The Associated Press on Thursday.
But her mother, Helena Benaouda, told the AP her daughter believed
they were U.S. soldiers because of insignia on their uniforms.
"They were American soldiers," said Helena Benaouda, who heads the
Swedish Muslim Council.
Ethiopian officials initially denied any suspects were in custody, but
the government later confirmed an AP report that dozens of foreigners
were detained as part of an effort to stem terrorism.
U.S. special operations troops regularly train Kenyan security officers
at Kenya's Manda Bay Naval Station near the Somali border, officials
from the Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa have said. In a
statement Thursday, a task force spokesman directed queries about
Kenyan border activities to the Kenyan government. Kenyan officials
did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
American, Kenyan and Ethiopian forces have long been allies in a U.S.
counterterrorism effort in the region, whose lawlessness security
experts fear al-Qaida and other groups could exploit to create a base.
The cooperation appears to have been stepped up in the wake of the
collapse of an Islamist regime in Somalia, amid fears al-Qaida
suspects linked to the group would flee into Kenya.
In January, the U.S. launched an air strike on Somalia's Ras Kamboni,
a region near Kenya the U.S. has long suspected was the site of a
training camp used by a Somali Islamic group linked to al-Qaida.
Benaouda said she had traveled to Somalia with her fiancé, Munir Awad,
a Swedish citizen of Lebanese descent. The couple was separated when
they tried to leave the country after the Ethiopian military
intervention in December.
Benaouda said she was captured along with a group of women and children
as they tried to cross into Kenya. The soldiers shot a woman in the
group, she told the paper, but didn't give details.
They were brought to Nairobi and then returned to Somalia, blindfolded
and handcuffed, before being transferred to a prison in the Ethiopian
capital, Addis Ababa, she said. There, she said, she saw her fiancé
for the first time in weeks.
Awad was among eight terror suspects shown on Ethiopia's state-run
television Tuesday as the country came under mounting pressure over
the detention program. Awad and the others said they were being
treated humanely.
But Benaouda said she saw her fiancé and two other Swedish citizens
confined in what looked like "poultry cages with metal roofs" in
Ethiopia, and that she was beaten by a prison guard with a stick at
one point during her detention. In March, the guards started treating
her better and on March 23, she said, she met an official from the
Swedish Embassy. Four days later, Benaouda, who is pregnant, was put
on a plane home.
The Ethiopian Foreign Affairs Ministry said 29 of the 41 suspects have
been ordered released by the Ethiopian government, and that five have
been freed. The ministry said only 12 foreign detainees would remain
in custody after the next round of releases.
Human rights groups say the detentions are illegal; Ethiopia has
denied that. ___

A quick update on the Siraj family's situation and some quick
support actions you can take.
Background: The Siraj family has been a victim of the government's so-called "War on Terror" against Muslims, Arabs & South Asians. First, their son was targeted and entrapped by a paid ($100,000) informant to incite and then entrap Matin in a false "terrorism" case. After a trial in which there were many irregularities, Matin was found guilty and on January 8th, 2007 sentenced to 30 years in prison. As an act of intimidation, less than 12 hours after the sentencing, the Siraj family home was invaded by more than 15 ICE officers and the father, mother and sister of Matin were dragged away to an immigration detention center. 2 weeks later, after community pressure and a campaign & rally organized by DRUM, the mother and daughter were released, but on an outrageous $35,000 bond. The father, 3 months later, still remains in prison, while the son has been moved to a jail in Indiana. As this government-created nightmare continues, the mother and daughter are fighting for the freedom of their brother/son and father and speaking out against the injustices against their family. More background at
Some actions that you can take to support this family:
http://www.drumnation.org
The father, Siraj Rehman, still remains in detention at Elizabeth
Detention Center, having been held for over 3 months now. His severe
health problems persist as he suffers from a severe hearing disability,
arthritis, breathing problems, depression, and a history of hernias.
His detainment has further exacerbated the problems. His file is
scheduled to be reviewed for consideration of release on
April 19th by ICE. We are requesting another round of
support letters to be MAILED IMMEDIATELY to the address indicated
in the sample letter included/attached below. Please respond ASAP if you
can so they reach ICE in time! **Organizational letterhead is best if
you're affiliated, but your personal name and address is fine, too.**
The family is in desperate financial circumstances and needs support for
basic survival, attorney's fees, and exorbitant bond of $35,000 they
had to pay. Please donate what you can. Your donations are
tax-deductible. Please make checks out to: DRUM with "Siraj Family
Support Fund" in the memo line. MAIL to:
DRUM, PO Box 720187, Jackson Heights, NY 11372
The son, Matin Siraj, has been moved out of NY, 800 miles away to
the Terre Haute Federal Correctional Institution in Indiana.
This facility has received some minor media coverage for the fact that
it is instituting a policy of segregating Muslim and Arab prisoners
into a special Communications Management Unit whereby the freedoms
and communications of the prisoners in the unit are being severely
restricted and closely monitored. These policies raise several civil
rights, racial profiling, prisoner rights, and procedural issues,
all within the context of increasing repressive measures by this
government in its so-called "War on Terror." On a practical level,
this has meant that the family is unable to visit Matin due to the
financial and logistical obstacles posed by the distance and the
"special" procedures for visitation. It has also limited the amount
of phone calls Matin is allowed to make to his family, who he may
speak to, and the language in which the calls are conducted. For

Again, thank you for your incredible support as we continue fighting
for this family's freedom and the larger political attack on our
communities. For more information, or an attachment of the letter,

Deportation Officer Keith Cozine
US Dept of Homeland Security
Bureau of Immigration and Customs Enforcement
Elizabeth Detention Center
625 Evans Street , Room 148A
Elizabeth, NJ
Dear Officer Cozine,
RE: Release from Detention of Siraj Abdul Rehman
I am writing to support the immediate release of Siraj Abdul Rehman who
has been held at Elizabeth Detention Center in New Jersey since Tuesday,
January 9, 2007. I fully support his immediate release on recognizance
or a reasonable bond and understand that his case is being
administratively reviewed by your office.
Mr. Rehman is a deeply loved member of a peace-loving family that has
worked hard in this country for several years since escaping
persecution in Pakistan. Mr. Rehman is hard-working, cares deeply
about civic and family matters, has no criminal record, and is simply
looking to live peacefully with his family intact. Under no
circumstances does Mr. Rehman represent a flight risk for several
reasons; the family is deeply rooted in New York's South Asian
community and is absolutely committed to staying in this country
in order to seek justice in their son's criminal case as well as to
apply for asylum. In no way does the family pose a flight risk due
to their deep commitments, obligations, and solid community roots
to community organizations and religious institutions. As such, Mr.
Rehman should be released on recognizance or a reasonable bond as
he poses no threat to society, is not a flight risk because he intends
to pursue an appeal in his son's case, and is deeply rooted within
the community.
For a father that has already lost his son to imprisonment, Mr. Rehman's
spirit and health is on the verge of breaking due to detention. If
continuously detained, Mr. Rehman will be prevented from a fair
opportunity to follow through on appealing for justice for his son's
case as well as being separated from his wife and daughter who are
in desperate financial and emotional straits. As you may know, Mr.
Rehman's suffers from disabling health problems ranging from a
severe hearing disability to chronic breathing problems, depression,
severe arthritis and a history of hernias.
Out of respect of civil rights and due process, as Mr. Rehman's entire
family was detained on Tuesday January 9th, I am concerned that the
Siraj family was indiscriminately chosen for arrest due to the
alleged charges of terrorism against their young son, Siraj Matin.
Approximately 12 hours after receiving the devastating news of an
indiscriminate and lengthy sentence for their son, they were arrested
for relatively minor immigration violations that do not necessitate
detention. Due to countless legal and constitutional irregularities
connected to their son's case, the family has overwhelming community
support, and the family should not be punished through detention for
pursuing justice for their son. If deported, a young son will be left
to perish in prison and the lives of an entire, peace-loving family
will be ruined. I respectfully request that ICE exercises compassion
and justice for Mr. Rehman in granting release.
Sincerely, [name, address, organization, if applicable]
LETTER: Sectarian Shi'ite/Pervezi Propaganda against Hadith:
NT's response being Distributed in Uganda [East Africa]
Dear editor of New Trend magazine,
Such scholars, like Fazlur-Rahman have invaded our country, Uganda
moving from one mosque to another. They even question that, how could
Abu Hurairah emerge to be most narrator of Hadith when in fact that
he lived only three years with Prophet Muhammad (saw) after he became
Muslim! We don't know who fund them and what are mainly their hidden
agenda at this point in time.
I am distributing the information below to masjids, schools,
universities, companies and individuals in our country, especially
in urban communities. May Allah reward you for teaching international
Islam, increase your knowledge, your research, your wisdom and your
writing about the Islamic struggle around the world. (Ameen)
Sincerely as ever yours,
Mahmoud Sserunjogi
Kampala-Uganda
Is It True That Hadith Was Not Written in the time of the Prophet, pbuh?
Were Qur'an and Hadith transmitted by same people or different ones?
LETTER: Correction:
Khadijah, r.a., should be included Among Women Leaders List
salaam alaikum, re your paragraph about the wonderful women leaders in
Islam, I have frequently noted in this and your past comments about
Ayesha and Fatima etc how you neglect and minimize Khadijah may Allah
bless her. I think this is wrong. She was the first to have the wisdom
to follow the Prophet and sacrificed her entire wealth and lifestyle
for him. The fact that he held her in high estate should lead us all
never to neglect to mention her in these lists.
Re the article about the neglect of social services in our community,
I totally agree. Every time I want to donate to food kitchens or other
services I end up going to the local church kitchen or the Quakers. I
know of no services or even volunteer presence by any Muslims in the
general charities. I do join interfaith activities and see no reason
to wait until we clean up our own house. We can do both. That is like
the civil rights leaders saying to women in the past, don't agitate for
your rights till We get our rights.
