Mohurram 21, 1428/ February 10, 2007. #13
Why is Islam a history-shaping revolutionary force? Answer:
It gives EQUAL spiritual, political and social responsibility to
men AND women. Here is the text:
From Abdullah ibn Qais [Abu Musa Ash'ari, r.a.]. The messenger of Allah,
peace and blessings be on him, led us in prayer: Then he said: Let
everyone stay where they are. Then he went to the men and said: Allah
Almighty has commanded me that I should command you to "Be aware of
Allah and speak clearly, truthfully and to the point." Then going
through the lines, he came to the women and said: Allah has commanded
me to command you to "Be aware of Allah and speak clearly, truthfully
and to the point." [Hadith in the Musnad of Ahmad ibn Hanbal.]
Comment by Kaukab Siddique: Note that the words quoted by the Prophet,
pbuh, are from the Qur'an, 33:70. Hadith is always connected,
complements, explains and implements the Qur'an. Both Muslim men
and women have an equal responsibility to participate in the Islamic
struggle by way of all forms of communication.
Musharraf's Swat Teams Ready to attack Islamic School for
Women in Islamabad:
[from New Trend's Pakistan observers.]
New Trend's reporters in Pakistan say that General Musharraf has readied
Rangers and rapid response units of the Pakistani army, funded and
armed by the U.S., to attack an Islamic school library, in Jamia Hafsa,
where young Islamic women are defying police. The young women took over
the building after news that Musharraf planned to demolish the school
to please the U.S. The women are wielding lathis [long wooden
staves] to keep police at bay.
In nearby Red Mosque, crowds of men have gathered in support of the
young women. The regime cut off water and electricity to the mosque
and is ready to send in its storm troopers. Local religious leaders
are trying to work out a peaceful solution.
Many Muslims might wonder why the army of a Muslim country would want
to attack an Islamic academy for women. There are three reasons:
-
The U.S. sees Islamic schools [medressas] as generation points for
terrorism. Mush [Musharraf] as the point man for Bush wants to crush
the medressas. An academy for women belies the Bush line that
Islamists are against education for women.
-
Musharraf's military special forces have a high number of Shi'ites for
whom Hafsa Academy is a good target because Hafsa, r.a., was the
daughter of Umar, r.a., the second Caliph of Islam.
-
Musharraf began by demolishing Masjid Hamza [very quietly] because it
was near the road where his entourage passes. He sees masjids as a
personal threat to himself. He has had a great contempt for peaceful
protests but he feels that Muslims might try to attack him physically
[although none of the Islamic groups have threatened him personally].

SMILE a little :
In an hour-long interview on CNN, February 9, Islam hater Glenn Beck and
Canadian proto-Lesbian-"I-Love-Israel" -loud -mouth Irshad Manji praised
each other. Glenn, who is something of a clown, quite idiotic about
Islam, presented Manji as an expert on Islam! She is advertising a
conference of "Secular Muslims" in Florida: Beck says he will report
directly from the conference. She can best be described as white trash
[slightly brown] who talks about "ijtihad" [!] while Beck is supposedly
the Iran "expert" and conveniently does not know that President
Ahmedinejad is an elected leader with mass support. [Manji, not
surprisingly, talks about Darfur as her main cause. Guess the source!]
Al-Aqsa, we will defend you against the Jewish terrorist entity Israel!
This is the cry of Muslims around the world. Right outside Al-Aqsa, in
occupied Jerusalem, February 9, thousands protested against Israeli
excavations and clashed with Israeli police for several hours.
More ominously, speaking to a huge Friday [juma'] [February 9]
gathering in central Lahore, Pakistan, Jamaat ad-Da'wa leader
Hafiz Saeed said that JIHAD is the only way to deal with the Zionist
terror entity "Israel." His office has sent New Trend a translated
summary of his remarks.

New York: Pakistani Mother Cries out Against Suffering of Innocent
Son, Siraj Matin, and Detained Husband
Shahina Parveen's interview appeared in the Pakistani daily
Nawa-e-Waqt. Parveen is the mother of Siraj Matin who was
entrapped by an FBI informant who infiltrated a masjid and took
advantage of a young Muslim's kindness to hand him over to the FBI.
The family members were arrested after Matin was sentenced. Shahina and
her daughter have been released on heavy bail while the father is still
in prison. [See our reports on protests by DRUM organization.]
Shanina said her son is not a terrorist and she will fight for the rest
of her life to get him out of prison. She gave details of how the
informant, an Arabic speaker, trapped her son. Muslims should be aware
of government agents who have infiltrated Masjids. One who speaks
Arabic is not necessarily a good Muslim. The U.S. government is waging
oppression and persecution against the Muslims of America and has well
paid agents.
How shameless this government is against innocent Muslims! Siraj Matin
had no weapons and no organization, yet the FBI claimed he was planning
to bomb the New York subway!
Discovery of "Family Prison":
New Low in U.S. Oppression of Mexican People
Imam Badi Ali, Jamaat al-Muslimeen leader in Greensboro, North Carolina,
has condemned the imprisonment of ENTIRE FAMILIES in a prison in Texas
[reported by NPR February 9]. Br. Ali said that it is a shocking and
shameful situation in which women and children have been herded into
this prison camp. Even little children, BELOW TEENS, are being forced
to wear prison clothing and allowed to come out only TWO HOURS in a day.
Br. Ali said, these men, women, children, mostly from Mexico, have
committed no crime and should not be treated in this shameful manner.
Masaud Khan Disappears From Prison:
Family & Attorneys have No Information
Pakistani American Masaud Khan who had been imprisoned in the backwoods
of Virginia in a faraway hell hole in Jonesville, has suddenly
disappeared. Neither his family nor his attorney knows where he has
been taken.
Masaud while on a visit to Pakistan to care of his family's property
visited an Islamic camp organized by a group opposing the occupation
of Kashmir. The U.S. government claimed that he is linked to
"terrorists" and sentenced him to NINETY YEARS.
Please call or write Congressman Chris Van Hollen and urge him to
confirm which prison Masaud has been moved to: His address is:

Iranian Nuclear Scientist Reportedly Murdered by Mossad
Ha'aretz (Israel)
http://www.haaretz.com/hasen/spages/821634.html
A senior nuclear physicist involved in Iran's nuclear program who died
under mysterious circumstances two weeks ago was killed by the Mossad,
according to a report released in a U.S. website this weekend. The
website - Stratfor.com - features intelligence and security analysis
by former U.S. intelligence agents. Professor Ardashir Hosseinpour,
a world authority on electromagnetism, was until recently working on
uranium enrichment at the facility in Isfahan, one of the central
processing sites in Iran's nuclear program. The physicist died
January 18, but news of his death only emerged six days later in
two Iranian media outlets. A report released this weekend in
Stratfor.com stated that the Mossad was behind Hosseinpour's death.

Charlotte Co., VA - The road name stays put. Sheikh Gilani Lane in
Charlotte County has caused some controversy. The justice department
says the person it's named for is a terrorist.
The Christian Action Network and Congressman Virgil Goode have been
asking the county to change the name that leads up to the Red House
Muslim community. But Tuesday the board of supervisors voted
unanimously to keep it as is.
The county Administrator tells us they took the vote because it has been
board policy not to change road names for anybody.
From IPPA- The Muslims community in the area has filed criminal charges
agents the Christian Action Network, more to fallow.

"Iranian, Indian FMs hold strategic talks
February 8, 2007: Tehran Times Political Desk
"TEHRAN – Iranian Foreign Minister Manuchehr Mottaki held talks here
on Wednesday with his Indian counterpart Pranab Mukherjee on a range
of issues including the strategic energy cooperation between Iran
and India, Iran's nuclear issue, the security situation in
Afghanistan, and other matters of mutual interest.
The Indian foreign minister also held separate talks with President
Mahmud Ahmadinejad, Expediency Council Chairman Akbar Hashemi
Rafsanjani, and top nuclear negotiator Ali Larijani.
Mottaki called his talks with his Indian counterpart "constructive".
"In the negotiations, there was an insistence on the need for sustainable
strategic talks between the two countries based on previous frameworks,"
Mottaki told reporters at a joint press conference with Mukherjee.
Iran's top diplomat also said that they discussed the preparations for
Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's upcoming visit to Tehran and
explored ways to expand cooperation in various areas, especially in
trade and investment.
Mottaki said economic and trade deals between the two countries, which
currently stand above $6 billion annually, show that the ties are
growing, adding the relations would expand in the future in various
fields. Pointing to the importance of energy in relations between
Iran and India, the Iranian foreign minister said, "As a trustworthy
partner, the Islamic Republic of Iran is happy to play a role in
providing energy to Asian states."
Mottaki said Mukherjee informed him about the nuclear cooperation between
India and the United States, noting that he also briefed his Indian
counterpart on Iran's peaceful nuclear activities and the position of
the Islamic Republic in the nuclear standoff between Tehran and the West.
The UN Security Council passed Resolution 1737 on December 23 imposing
sanctions on Iran's trade in nuclear material and technology as Iran
refused to stop its uranium enrichment activities.
The two foreign ministers also discussed the need to establish security
in Iraq, which requires the cooperation of all countries, he explained.
Support for Afghan government
Mottaki said that since India plays an important role in Asia, the two
sides also discussed various issues of importance for the region
including the situation in Afghanistan and the necessity to support
the government of President Hamid Karzai.
Gas pipeline
Iran, Pakistan, and India agreed recently on a pricing formula for the
export of Iranian gas to India through Pakistan to be delivered via a
proposed $7 billion pipeline. The Iran-Pakistan-India (IPI) pipeline
project has been dubbed the peace pipeline. "In the recent meeting of
the deputy oil ministers of the three countries, positive steps were
taken, and we hope that new steps will be taken promptly."
In a separate meeting with Mukherjee, President Mahmud Ahmadinejad said
that Iran sees no limitations in cooperation with India.
"Iran and Pakistan's agreement has been finalized on transferring 5
million tons of gas in 25 years, and thus Iran will be among the most
important countries that supply India's energy," Mukherjee told the
president.
Nuclear
activities will continue On a report that Iran has installed two more
cascades of centrifuges at the Natanz nuclear enrichment facility,
Mottaki said, "Iran's peaceful nuclear activity is following its natural
course under the supervision of inspectors and the agency's cameras."
Iran is continuing its legal nuclear activities and the Foreign Ministry
or the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) release information
about each stage of the nuclear work whenever it becomes necessary,
he noted.
Talks without preconditions
As has been announced previously, Iran will not accept any preconditions
for resuming nuclear talks and at the same time Iran will not impose
any restrictions on the issues that can be raised at talks, Mottaki said.
The West has said that Iran needs to halt its uranium enrichment as a
precondition for any direct talks.
The Iranian foreign minister stated, "I think in this framework, all
proposals and plans about Iran's (nuclear issue) can be raised,
discussed, and put to a final decision.
"We have two issues, strengthening the Non-Proliferation Treaty and
suspension, and all sides agree that strengthening the Non-Proliferation
Treaty has a higher priority. "Therefore, I think if we reach an
acceptable formula within the framework of the Non-Proliferation
Treaty along with confidence building, then the suspension of Iran's
legal activities will no longer be an issue."
Ancient civilizations
Mukherjee said the India-Iran relationship is based on the centuries of
ties between the two ancient civilizations.
He went on to say that his trip to Iran came in response to Mottaki's
trip to India last November.
Mukherjee added that he discussed joint investment, double taxation,
trade, and related subjects with Mottaki.
They also discussed energy and opportunities for Indian companies to
work in Iran, India's chief diplomat said.
Mukherjee noted that he and Mottaki also agreed on the need to adopt
long-term and strategic arrangements on the shipment of liquefied
natural gas (LNG) from Iran to India.
"We believe that the Iranian nuclear problem should be resolved
peacefully and through negotiations," he added.
He described the role of the International Atomic Energy Agency in
settling the row over Iran's nuclear program as very important, and
said that in order to reach a negotiated solution, it is necessary
for Iran and the IAEA to cooperate closely.
The Indian foreign minister also urged Iran and all parties involved
in the nuclear standoff to be more flexible. New Delhi greatly values
the importance of establishing peace and security in the region, he
stated, adding, "We attach special importance to Iran as a main factor
for peace and stability in the region."
He also said his country seeks the safe shipment of energy through the
Persian Gulf.
He observed that UN resolution 1737 concedes the role of the IAEA and
can provide an opportunity to resolve the issue peacefully.
The ties between Tehran and New Delhi are "independent of any third
country" and this relationship will continue, the Indian foreign
minister pointed out.
The Munich conference
Asked whether he would participate in the Munich conference along with
Larijani, Mottaki said, "I will take part in another conference in
Monaco which also touches on political and security issues."
Supreme National Security Council Secretary Ali Larijani, who is Iran's
chief nuclear negotiator, is scheduled to take part in a major annual
security conference to be held in Munich from February 9 to 11.
[For non-Muslim readers, Bait ul Maqdis is the Islamic name for Jerusalem.]
PRESS RELEASE – JAMA'T-UD-DA'WAH
Part of Bait-ul-Maqdis' martyrdom a pre-planned conspiracy -
Hafiz Saeed
LAHORE – 20th Muharram, 1428 – February 09, 2007
Ameer, Jama't-ud-Da'wah Pakistan, Hafiz Muhammad Saeed, has said the
recent martyring of a part of the Bait-ul-Maqdis was carried out in
keeping with a well planned conspiracy to finally martyr the whole
of Masjid Al Aqsa. He wanted to know why are our rulers, who are
ever eager for the Muslim world to recognize the existence of
Israel, have not said a single word in condemnation of this tragedy.
He said the defense of all Muslim lands is only possible through
Jihad, and if Muslim rulers cannot assure the protection of Muslim
lands from the Jews and Zionists, they should stop putting obstacles
in the way of Muslims who are ready to defend their lands and holy
places, themselves.
Hafiz Saeed was addressing the Jumah congregation at Masjid Al Qadsia
in Chowburji, Lahore, today. He said it is highly disappointing that
Muslim rulers are lobbying for Israel's recognition at the behest of
their foreign masters while the Jews have martyred a part of
Masjid-e-Aqsa, the Qiblah-e-Awwal (the first Masjid Muslims used
to turn towards, as the sole, and universal, direction for praying
towards, not to, before it was replaced by The Ka'aba as the new
Qiblah, in accordance with Allah's command). This is, he said,
the second holiest place for Muslims, after Masjid Al Haram (The Ka'aba).
He said the defense and protection of Masjid Al Aqsa is obligatory upon
all Muslims, and he called upon all the Muslims of the world to unite,
not only for the defense of Masjid Al Aqsa, but other Muslim lands
as well.
Hafiz Muhammad Saeed said it is amazing that terrorist states like
Israel and India can do whatever they like with impunity, yet no one
is willing to allow those, who merely want to protect their honor and
rights, even to speak in their own defense. He said the Jews want to
martyr Masjid Al Aqsa so that they can build Haikal-e-Sulaimani
(Solomon's Temple) in its place instead, and they are working on this
program according to a set schedule, and detailed maps and plans. He
said the Jews want to completely martyr Masjid Al Aqsa, ultimately.
He said if the destruction of their holy places and occupation of
their lands continues unchecked, Muslims will not be left with any
choice except to protect and defend their lands and holy places
through Jihad. He urged all Muslims to shun opulent lifestyles and
try to live simple lives. He also urged them to implement the
commandments of Allah, and His Messenger, sallillah hu alaihi
wa sallam, in their homes, and to educate their wives and
children about the ways and manners of an Islamic lifestyle.

Dear Starbucks Customer,
First and foremost I want to thank you for making Starbucks the
$6.4 billion global company it is today, with more than 90,000
employees, 9,700 stores, and 33 million weekly customers. Every
latte and macchiato you drink at Starbucks is a contribution to the
close alliance between the United States and Israel, in fact it is -
as I was assured when being honored with the "Israel 50th Anniversary
Friend of Zion Tribute Award" - key to Israel's long-term PR success.
Your daily Chocolate Chips Frappucino helps paying for student
projects in North America and Israel, presenting them with the
badly needed Israeli perspective of the Intifada.
Starbucks, through the Jerusalem Fund of Aish HaTorah, an international
network of Jewish education centres, sponsors Israeli military arms
fairs in an effort to strengthen the special connection between the
American, European and Israeli defense industries and to showcase the
newest Israeli innovations in defense. As my contribution to the
fight against the global rise of anti-Semitism, the reason behind
the current conflict in the Middle-East, I help Aish HaTorah
sponsoring the website "honestreporting.com" and produce material
informing of Israel's side of the story.
Without you, my valued customer, I wouldn't be able to raise hundreds
of millions of dollars each year to protect Israeli citizens from
terrorist attacks and keep reminding every Jew in America, to defend
Israel at any cost. $5 billion per year from the US government are no
way near enough to pay for all the weaponry, bulldozers and security
fences needed to protect innocent Israeli citizens from anti-Semitic
Muslim terrorism. Corporate sponsorships are essential.
Having the bigger picture in mind, Starbucks have donated a store to
the US army to help in the "War on Terror". I cannot emphasize enough,
how vital the "War on Terror" is for the continued viability and
prospering of the Jewish State.
So next time you feel like chilling out at a Starbucks store, please
remember that with every cup you drink at Starbucks you are helping
with a noble cause.
