How the Prophet Muhammad, pbuh, changed the
Condition of Women: #3 by Kaukab Siddique
The Prophet, pbuh, accepted ONE woman's witness in a crucial
matter in spite of opposition by a man. Some people
incorrectly think that One woman's witness is not acceptable
in Islam. Not true:
"Uqba bin Harith narrates: I had married a woman but a
Black woman came and said that 'I have breastfed both
of you as children.' I Said to the Prophet, pbuh, I had
married such and such woman but this Black woman said
that she has fed both of us, and she is a liar. The
Prophet, pbuh, turned his face away. I again approached
[him] and said: she is a liar. The Prophet, pbuh, said:
How can you keep your wife when she [the Black woman] says,
she breastfed both of you. Let her go."
[Hadith in Sahih of Bukhari, kitab-un-nikah.]
Thus in a matter as serious as the annulment of a marriage,
Islam accepts ONE WOMAN's witness. Let none say otherwise.
This was at a time when most of the world believed that women
are chattel or have no souls.
Palestine, O Palestine:
Ever since the elections which gave vistory to Hamas,
Israeli forces have been entering Palestinian towns and
murdering activists of the Islamic Jihad movement. Before
the elections, the Israelis similarly eliminated most of
the Hamas leadership and then allowed the elections to be held.
In the most recent Israeli attack, the Israelis smashed the
walls of a prison with tanks in Jericho and took away
prisoners whom they accuse of killing an Israeli minister
several years back. These are from a secularist group.
British and U.S. monitors at the prison conveniently
withdrew to let the Israelis have their way. Evidently
the Palestinians are defenseless and unable to stop the
Israelis by conventional means.
The Israeli attitude towards non-Jews was displayed recently
when a couple of Jews desecrated an important Christian
Church in Palestine. Plans are also underway to undermine
the Al-Aqsa masjid.
Scholarly Critics of Jewish Version of World War II
deserve your Help: Freedom of Expression is at Stake.
by Kaukab Siddique
The Jewish International terrorist system has had the
following scholars imprisoned:
1. David Irving. ["Great" Britain]
2. Ernest Zundel. [Canada]
3. Germar Rudolf [Germany]
4. Siegfried Verbecke. [Belgium]
These scholars are truly fighting for the freedom of
expression which is essential to human development. They
are challenging the Jewish version of the Second World War.
Their power is such that the Jewish elites dare not let
them have a public forum. They could not stop these untiring
researchers. Now they have gone to the extreme of getting
these non-violent writers/researchers/scholars imprisoned
on charges of "thought crimes." In other words, the Jews are
now so drunk with power, they want the right to control
human thought even in research work.
By helping the families of these scholars, you will support
their struggle for free expression and real history. As
these unusual people break the stranglehold Jewish elites
have on European countries, they are fighting the fight
which helps the forces of Islam.
Unless the European support for Israeli/Jewish victim
status is broken, the Europeans will continue to give
open-ended support to the terrorist entity known as Israel.

Important International News. From our Media Monitors.
Correction is always welcome. [With brief New Trend analysis.]
SUDAN:
March 17, 2006: Democratic Party leader Nancy Pelosi carried
out a lengthy tirade against Sudan's role in Darfur at a
Washington "think tank" known as Center for National Policy.
She threw around the word "genocide" as if it is a fact,
without any evidence whatsoever.
She also proclaimed that a big rally for Darfur will be
held in Washington on April 30.
New Trend's analysis is that the grounds are being prepared
for a major move against Sudan. Pelosi and the Democrats
are the B team of Israel. While Bush carries out the
official policy of the Zionists, the Democrats prepare
the unofficial policy.
Sudan, Africa's biggest country, with steady oil development,
and relatively independent and Islamic policies, is a major
problem for the Zionists. First, the slavery story was fed
by the Zionists to America's African-American communities.
That story turned out to be a fabrication. Now we have Darfur.
The key question is: Who armed the rebel groups in Darfur
who are the cause of the conflict?
IRAN and U.S. Covert Friendship:
[New Trend was the only one to get it right.]
Most people were fooled by the U.S.-Iranian smoke
screen over the nuclear issue. New Trend was the only
one to point out that at the ground level, the two are
cooperating. In fact, Iran is the most effective Muslim
force the U.S. can use to infiltrate Muslim countries
and specifically to counter the "Wahhabi" threat.
["Wahhabi" means anyone who focuses only on Qur'an and
Hadith and sees Jihad as a central aspect of Islam.]
On March 16, 2006 Iran offered to work with the U.S. to
create a stable government in Baghdad. [See Associated
Press and CNN.] On March 17, the U.S. reciprocated by
accepting the Iranian offer and stated that the "nuclear
issue is a separate issue." [Associated Press, MSNBC, etc.]
IRAQ:
MAJOR NEW MILITARY OPERATION: "Liberating" Iraq from Iraqis?
On March 16, 2006, the U.S. launched a big military operation
against 3 villages in a ten square mile sector north of Samara.
Fifty helicopters were used to ferry 650 U.S. troops and 800
Iraqi [Shi'ite] mercenaries to the target area, led by 200
armored vehicles. Large explosions were heard from the target area.
On March 17, it seemed that the Islamic resistance has
evaded the attackers. The U.S. said 41 "suspects" had been
detained but of these 10 were released. On the second day,
it appears that the new operation is being seen as a military
exercise to train the Shi'te mercenaries.
[This is somewhat like the "vietnamization" process
in the war in Indo-China.]
SUCH ATTACKS VIOLATE INTERNATIONAL LAW:
The occupation of Iraq was a blatant act of aggression
in violation of international law. The continuing military
operations inside a Muslim country, aimed at the decimation
of Iraqi populations opposed to the occupation, puts the U.S.
in the position of international pariah.
CIVILIANS ARE MAIN VICTIMS of U.S. AIR FORCE:
According to the Associated Press [AP] [report published
in the Philadelphia Inquirer March 16], 11 iraqi
civilians were killed in a U.S. air strike on a home near
Balad, 50 miles north of Baghdad. The U.S. claimed that
only four were killed, "a man, two women and a child"
and that an al-Qaeda suspect was captured in the
helicopter-tank attack.
However, "AP photographs showed the bodies of two men,
five children, and four other covered figures arriving
at the hospital accompanied by grief-stricken relatives.
The victims were covered in dust with bits of rubble
tangled in their hair."
The report goes on to say that 9 the victims were from
one family and two were visitors. The head of the family,
Faez Khalaf, was killed. His brother Ahmed said: " The dead
family was not part of the resistance. They were women and
children. The Americans have promised us a better life but
we get only death."
SADDAM HUSSAIN: The Lion of Iraq Roars Again:
March 15: Speaking from a court installed by the
occupation forces, the President of Iraq, Saddam Hussain,
called on the Iraqi people to unite and to wage a Jihad
against the occupation forces. He condemned the bombing
of the Samara Shrine as the "strange and horrid" act of
the enemies of Iraq to disunite the people. The
Los Angeles Times has published a few excerpts
of the mujahid President's words as follows:
" O Iraqis, in your resistance to the invasion by the
Americans and Zionists and their allies, you were great.
You were great in my eyes and you remain so." ..." But
now the criminals who came on the excuse of weapons of
mass destruction, use their tanks to rule the Iraqi
people under the slogan of democracy."
The puppet judge first tried to shout down President
Hussain and accused him of killing "innocent people."
The President's superb reply: "Just yesterday 80 people
were killed in Baghdad. Were they not innocent?"
The flabbergasted judge shut off the audio system and
later adjourned till next month. From prison, Saddam is
a threat to the forces of Imperialism and Zionism.
[New Trend's analysis is that Saddam Hussain is in
fact the prisoner of Israel, International Jews and the
Neo-cons of America supported by Iran.
The Jews always saw Saddam as their enemy. Wolfowitz
saw him as pure evil, Hitler incarnate. The Muslim world
was misled by Iranian propaganda against Saddam. Some
naive Muslims were so impressed by American power that
they thought that Saddam must be working for America!
otherwise they would have killed him if they wanted to.
America is like god for these conspiracy theorists. Only
later it came out that the U.S. tried to kill him 33
times but failed. This is the first Arab ruler in
post-colonial history who stood up to a world power
and then LITERALLY went underground to continue guerrilla
warfare for 9 months before he was betrayed and captured.
He distributed weapons and ammo all over the country to
ensure that protracted guerrilla resistance would continue.]
Lt. General Peter Chiarelli's Press Conference:
March 17, 2006. CNN boradcast General Chiarelli's press
conference. It began with his report on the U.S. offensive
north of Samara. Later in the conference some important
nuances came out. He tried to minimize the attacks on
Sunni mosques after the Samara Shrine explosion. He
claimed that "only" 81 Sunni mosques were attacked"
[not 100 plus], and that of these, only two were destroyed,
while some had medium damage and some only had bullet holes.
Also, the General was asked point blank about rumors of
Iranian "revolutionary guards" operating in Iraq. The
General successfully evaded giving a clear answer.
SLAUGHTER WAS CARRIED OUT at ORDERS of SHi'ITE LEADERS
According to the Baghdad morgue sources, nearly 1300
people were murdered during the curfew imposed by the
Shi'ite U.S.-installed "government" in Baghdad folllowing
the explosion at the Samara Shrine.
Shi'ites in Iraq do not carry out activities without the
orders of their religious leadership, such as Sistani.
There is a report that Shaikh Yusuf al-Qaradawi has blamed
the Shi'ite leadership for the slaughter.
Shi'ite death squads are at work, carrying out executions every night.
The Shi'ite leadership did not protest when the U.S. hit
mosques in Fallujah and then blew up mosques in 5 western
cities. The Shi'ites were silent when Fallujah was being
attacked during the night of lailatul Qadr. Observers say
that Shi'ite leaders, instead of calling for an inquiry into
the Samara Shrine explosion, used it as an excuse to
slaughter hundreds of Sunnis and to attack more than
100 mosques. Islamic observers say that the Shi'ites have
betrayed the Muslim world.
[New Trend comment: If any reader has the text of
al-Qaradawi's comment, please send it to us.]
War Continues in Iraq:
Fighting between the Islamic resistance and U.S. forces
continues. The Pentagon says the U.S. has had 2312 troops
killed in Iraq by March 15. The media have a new policy.
They no longer cover actions in which U.S. troops are
killed. A few days back, an Abrams tank, America's biggest
was set on fire in Baghdad by the mujahideen. U.S. media
gave a TWO SECOND coverage to it.
10-year old Pakistani girl's case

Pakistani human Rights Activist Accuses Afghan Government
Officials of Kidnaping and Sale of Little Pakistani Girls
[The following excerpts are from a report issued by
a non-political group. Mr. Burney asks Gen. Musharraf
for help. He is certainly not trying to score points
against the corrupt Afghan rulers installed by the U.S.
Is it a surprise that the people want the Taliban to
return and save them from such atrocities? -Ed]
KARACHI: The internationally renowned anti human trafficking and human
rights organization - Ansar Burney Trust International – has reported the
kidnapping of a 10 year old Pakistani girl from Karachi by an Afghan
national, who has taken her to Afghanistan and is now demanding a ransom for
her release.
Hina alias Rani, a 10 year old innocent girl from Karachi, Pakistan, was
kidnapped by Shahbaz Khan, who trafficked her to Afghanistan with the
intention of collecting a ransom for her release. Shahbaz Khan was an Afghan
national who earlier ran a local shop in Karachi.
The Chairman of Ansar Burney Trust International and Pakistan's most
renowned human rights and anti human trafficking activist, Ansar Burney said
that Shahbaz Khan is just one of the growing numbers of such Afghan
traffickers in Pakistan today. Mr. Burney reports a growing trend amongst
criminal elements in the Afghan government and amongst its people of the
trafficking of persons.
"Afghanistan is a country runs by warlords and drug barons, who are now also
in the business of trafficking of children and young girls. These same
criminal elements, many of whom are in the Afghan government itself, are now
killing many of the victims for the sale of their body organs in the
international market". Ansar Burney said.
Ansar Burney Trust International is a human rights organization that has
specialized in the field of anti-trafficking of persons. In this regard,
Ansar Burney, Chairman of the Trust has been declared an International Hero
and the Ansar Burney Trust has been declared as an International Best
Practice by the US State Department and Condoleezza Rice in 2005. Ansar
Burney Trust is also the same organization that successfully convinced the
governments of several Middle Eastern countries to ban the use of underage
children working on modern day slavery as child camel jockeys; and the
efforts of Ansar Burney Trust have resulted in the return of well over a
thousand underage children back to their respective countries.
According to Ansar Burney Trust, on 10th of December 2004, a girl Hina alias
Rani (10) was missing from Manzoor Colony in Jamshed Town Karachi. Later on
15th of December 2004, the father of the girl lodged an FIR no: 253/04 at
Baluch Colony and accused Shahbaz Khan, an Afghan national who worked in a
shop in the area, of the kidnapping of his daughter.
The father of the girl received phone calls from the captors in Afghanistan
demanding ransom for the release of Hina. Shahbaz, who made the phone call,
informed the father of the kidnapping of the girl and stated that she is now
in Cutwaz, Maseet in Afghanistan. He rang from satellite phone no: 00 88
21688857577.
The Ansar Burney Trust reports that as the days go by, the condition of the
parents of Hina is deteriorating more and more.
For a few years now, the Ansar Burney Trust International has been reporting
on the involvement of Afghan Government officials in the trafficking of
children and young girls to and from Afghanistan. Visits by Trust members to
Afghanistan on humanitarian missions uncovered markets where women were
being sold like animals. On complaints to local authorities, Trust members
were told to forget what they saw. The Ansar Burney Trust has also reported
these serious and shocking human rights violations to the Afghan Embassy in
Islamabad, yet to date, no action has been taken.
"In fact, trafficking in Afghanistan has turned into a new way to make
money. These warlords, who till yesterday were known throughout the world as
criminals, are now in the Afghan Government itself and are using their new
powers to ruin the lives of innocent children and girls for their own
benefits". Ansar Burney said.
The Ansar Burney Trust reports that persons are being abducted from several
regional countries from where they are taken to Afghanistan. Here, under the
protection of the Afghanistan government, these trafficked victims are sold.
Children mostly end up working as child camel jockeys in the Middle East, or
along with trafficked adults have their body organs removed for sale in the
international market.
Amnesty International Report
Pakistani Dissident [U.S. nationality] Kidnaped and
"disappeared" by Musharraf's Forces
US national Dr Safdar Sarki, who is the head of a political party
campaigning for the rights of the Sindhi ethnic group, was abducted
on 24 February by men alleged to be members of the security forces.
He is in grave danger of torture, which is routinely used on
political activists and detainees who are held incommunicado. The
authorities have denied having him in custody, and it is feared that
he may have "disappeared".
A group of 16 men in civilian clothes, at least one of whom was
allegedly recognised as a senior police officer by eyewitnesses,
reportedly took Dr Sarki from his apartment in the Gulistan-i-Jauhar
area of Karachi, between 2 and 3pm. Witnesses apparently saw him
being bundled into a van, "blindfolded and bleeding". There are also
reports that his apartment was ransacked, and his laptop computer,
passport and other items were taken.
Dr Sarki is the Secretary General of a political party campaigning
for the rights of Sindhi people in Pakistan, Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz
(JSQM). Members of JSQM and the World Sindhi Congress have filed a
habeas corpus petition with the Sindh High Court. No charges are
known to have been filed against him, and the authorities have not
acknowledged having him in custody.
The Constitution of Pakistan states that "No person shall be
deprived of life and liberty save in accordance with law" (Article
9). Under Article 10, every detainee must be brought before a
magistrate within 24 hours of arrest. The detention of Dr Sarki, if
carried out by the security forces, is a clear violation of these
requirements.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION
The province of Sindh is in the south-east of Pakistan and shares a
border with India. Sindh is largely desert, and is often susceptible
to drought. Members of the Sindhi community, who originate from this
region, have historically campaigned for better access to resources,
especially water, which they feel remains in short supply due to the
construction of dams along the Indus River that deprive Sindh of its
fair share of water. This in turn impacts on the livelihood of
Sindhis, who remain largely agricultural. The JSQM is one of the
smaller political party campaigning for the rights of Sindhis.

18 Months in Musharraf's Prison
Pak. High court Ordered them Released but Musharraf
Regime Still Holding 2 Islamic Doctors from U.S.
-
Islamabad (March 11, 2006): Senator Professor
Khurshid Ahmad has condemned Sindh Government's refusal
to release Dr. Akmal Waheed and Dr. Arshad Waheed despite
the fact that Sindh High Court found them innocent
and ordered their release.
-
Prof. Khurshid Ahmad termed 'illegal, immoral and a gross
violation of human rights' the doctors' detention for over
one and a half year on the basis of mere suspicion. "Now
that the falseness of the suspicion has been clearly
established during the Court proceedings," he said, "it
is criminal to keep them detained."
-
He said it was shameful for the government to detain them
under a fresh detention order while their family members
and the friends were waiting for their release at the
gates of the prison to receive them. "According to my
information," he said, "even this extension in detention
is taking place without any documentation." Demanding
immediate release of the two doctors, Prof. Khurshid said
that refusal to release them or delay their release would
convey the message that the rulers themselves are guilty
of violating the rule of law and verdict of court.
