GIVE SIRAJ WAHHAJ a few more days: Readers have advised
New Trend to give "Imam" Siraj Wahhaj a few more days to repent
and do public TAWBAH for his shameful statement against
Shaikh Omar which helped the Jewish judge to put away the
Shaikh for life. A close buddy of Siraj, Imam Talib, has admitted
that Siraj did destify against the Shaikh but Talib justifies it
in a long letter to New Trend. We will analyze the letter if Siraj
shows no sign of repentance. We have nothing personal against
Siraj but he has served the pro-Bush ISNA for much too long
without being subjected to Islamic scrutiny.
BREAKING NEWS: As we go to the "press" protests are spreading
across Pakistan and the corrupt Pakistani regime has called in
the U.S. ambassador to pretend that it is protesting the bombing!
8 U.S. MISSILES Hit SLEEPING PAKISTANI VILLAGERS.
8 children, 4 women killed along with 6 male adults.
U.S. bombing of a Pakistani village at 3 AM on January 13,
2005 killed 18 civilians, mostly women and children. U.S. TV
lit up with jubilation on Friday-Saturday night [8 PM to 2 AM EST]
with the expectation that the air strike had killed
Ayman al-Zawahiri, second in command of the armed Islamic
movement, al-Qaida. However, by Saturday January 14, U.S. TV
was admitting that the jihad leader had not been killed and
was probably not even there. U.S. policy seems to be that a
village should be wiped out if a resistance leader is SUSPECTED
of being there. If that is not terrorism, what is it?
Here are the facts of the attack gleaned from Pakistani Urdu
language publications:
-
U.S. planes bombed the tiny village of Damadola, in Mamund Tehsil of the Bajaur agency.
-
The village is about 50 km from the Afghan frontier, thus well inside Pakistani territory.
-
The bombing took place at 3 AM when the villagers were asleep.
-
The eighteen people killed in the bombing belonged to the families of Bakhtpur, Muhammad Raheem and Bacha Khan. Their homes were wiped out. Four seriously wounded villagers, one a woman, are in hospital.
-
The names and ages of the children killed are as follows:
-
Madia [female] 9 yrs.
-
Sadiqa [female] 10 yrs.
-
Tayyeb [male] 9 yrs.
-
Zahidullah [male] 7 yrs.
-
Muhammad, 15 yrs.
-
Hussain Nawaz, 5 yrs. The other two were babies.
The four women were identified as:
-
Noor Pari, 50 yrs [grandmother].
-
Shahi Badan [mother] 40 yrs.
-
Tahira Bibi [mother] 30 yrs.
-
Bashir's wife, age not given.
Villagers showed media, BBC etc, fragments of a missile with
U.S. markings. Thousands attended the funerals and later
PROTESTED in BAJAUR on January 14 to protest the bombing.
Hatred of the U.S. is red hot in the area.
MUSHARRAF regime's game:
Indications are that the bombing was carried out with the help
of Musharraf's spies on the ground. Thus while the U.S. media
had been provided all the info on the attack by Musharraf's men,
the domestic Pakistani audience was told that "we don't know."
The U.S. media who have a problem pronouncing the word " Muslim"
knew the exact name of the bombed village: "Damadola" and could
show it on the map in Bajaur Agency. Both Musharraf and the U.S.
expected Ayman al-Zawahiri to be killed. CIA agent Musharraf
would have received a big bonus for this.
To play for time, Shaikh Rasheed, Musharraf's information minister
claimed that the attack could not have come from outside Pakistan
as the village is 50 km inside Pakistan! General Shaukat,
Musharraf's point man, claimed he had no idea what caused the
huge explosions and was "investigating!" By January 14, it was
clear the attack was a disaster for both Musharraf and the U.S.,
a total failure. So Shaikh Rasheed then came up with a
condemnation of the bombing, still with no mention of the U.S.,
as if the bombing happened by itself.
[Equally funny was Fox News' Pakistani collaborator Ijaz Mansour
who has been claiming for a whole year that the Al-Qaida
leaders are in Iran!]
The most disappointing report, for the U.S., comes from the
representative of the Bajaur area as published in the Pakistani
English language paper News International:
"A lawmaker from Bajaur tribal region said on Friday that an
American spy plane fired missiles on the houses of three locals,
killing 18 civilians, including women and children.
"A US spy plane had been flying in Bajur region for three days.
The plane did such flight early morning and bombed three houses
of locals in Damadola village, 50 kilometers away from the
Pak-Afghan border, Member National Assembly from Bajur tribal
region Sahibzada Haroon ur Rashid said on phone from Bajur.
Damadola is around 200 km northwest of the capital, Islamabad.
Haroon ur Rashid said the plane first threw light and then made
a circle around the target and fired eight missiles on the houses
of three local tribesmen.
A total of 18 people were killed in the attack carried out at
3 a.m., he said. Four other people, including two children, were
injured and they are stated to be in critical condition.
Rashid said that no al-Qaeda member or foreigner citizen is
among those died. "It is inhuman act to kill civilians under
the excuse of foreign militants," he said.
"The government should officially condemn U.S attack," said
Haroon ur Rashid, who belongs to the alliance of Islamic groups,
Mutahida Majlis-e-Amal.
He said a big protest rally will be held in Bajur on Saturday to
condemn the American bombing. Announcements were made in the area
through loud speakers to attend the rally.
All those died were later buried and thousands attended
the funeral, witnesses said, who attended the funeral.
Shah Zaman, brother of Bakht Pur, whose family died in the
bombing, condemned the attack and said innocent people were killed.
"We are innocent but do not know as to why were we targeted,"
Shah Zaman told reporter after the funeral.
"Why our family was subjected to cruel bombing and why our houses
were destroyed," he said.
A local correspondent in the area Dr Noor Hakim, who visited
the site, said on phone that those killed include eight
children and four women.
Correspondents said that hundreds of people from other areas
thronged to the bombing site and were angry at the attack."

Life is a broken-winged bird
That cannot fly."

THOUGHT OF THE DAY:
HELL does not want him: Sharon, Israel's leader and the world's
terrorist number 1, is taking a long time to die. Observers say,
Sharon is such a dirty character, that even hell seems hesitant
to accept him. When Allah's command comes, this genocidal murderer
will have to go to hell. He thought he was the most powerful man
on the planet who could order America, through Wolfowitz, Bush
and Cheyney to invade Iraq. He is dying a slow death after bleeding
from the brain. How low the Jews have fallen that they pray for
the health of this uncouth terrorist! Like Pharaoh's floating body,
[read the Qur'an] Sharon's "living-death" is a sign for those who think.

Mobilize in Support of Imam Jamil al-Amin
"Surely the [true] believers are none other than one
brotherhood/sisterhood ..." [The Qur'an 49:10]
Imam Jamil's case is the key to Muslim unity in America. The
Imam of America was railroaded on flimsy charges which were
never proven beyond a reasonable doubt. By and large, the
immigrant community has been silent about his case. The
immigrants are handicapped in understanding the importance of
this case by the blow struck by CAIR when the case first broke.
CAIR seemed to be endorsing the government's allegations.
Immigrant support for Imam Jamil would break the separatism in
the Muslim communities of America. The other side of the coin
is that African-Americans, by and large, did not call for
justice for Dr. Omar 'Abdel Rahman. In fact a dastardly blow
was struck against the eminent Islamic scholar by ISNA leader
"imam" Siraj Wahhaj. The honorable exception to this behavior
was Minister Farrakhan whose interest in the fate of the blind
Shaikh at one time helped to highlight the suffering of the scholar.
Dear immigrant, you can connect with the roots of Islam in
America by supporting Imam Jamil, a true Muslim who practices
the Sunnah in his personal life. Come forward to help and the
Jamaat will put you in touch with Br. Khalil Abdur Rahman,
[North Carolina], Coordinator of the National Support Committee
for Imam Jamil, and Br. Hodari Abdul 'Ali, [Maryland], organizer
of Imam Jamil Action Network [IJAN].
New Political Awareness Cards Ready for Distribution
Jamaat al-Muslimeen has printed up two new "political awareness" cards produced by its Shoora. The first card is for the BOYCOTT of BUSINESSES SUPPORTING ISRAEL.
The second one is about Imam Jamil al-Amin and Prof. Sami al-Arian.
The second card is very unusual in that on one side it provides
the COMPLETE essential information about the case of
Imam Jamil Abdullah al-Amin: The charges, the weakness
in the charges, how the alleged incident came about, how you can
help and the addresses of the Committees supporting the Imam as
well as the IMAM's ADDRESS. To top it all there is a photo of the Imam.
On the other side are the charges against Prof. Sami al-Arian,
the weakness of the charges, how the case came about, the
addresses of his support, how you can help and the professor's
prison address, topped off with his photo.
[There are no Jamaat credits on this double-sided card, so any
organization can distribute it without feeling indebted to the Jamaat.]
Please send $10 for a hundred cards to the Jamaat address above.
New Boycott Card Tested in Delaware:
On January 13, 2006 the new boycott card was tested. It was given
to 118 people at the Islamic Center in Newark, Delaware. The results
were positive. A number of Muslims started reading the card right
there and then, shocked by where their money has been going to
help Israel. Others tucked away the card carefully in their shirts
[it is easy to carry] to be read later. Not one person returned
the card or threw it away or ignored it.
Almost all the worshipers at this Center are immigrants from
Pakistan, India and Arab countries with a very few African-Americans.
Most Important Issues Facing Muslims of America:
The agenda of most important issues [all on one sheet] prepared
by the Jamaat's Shoora was distributed after prayers to 200
people at the Muslim Community Center in Silver Spring, Maryland.
A good number of those who got the flyer are from Senegal,
distinguished by their colorful long dresses, followed by
Indians and Pakistanis plus a very few Arabs. It's a very rich
community, politically extremely cautious.
[The Jamaat Shoora's agenda has also been summarised in a small
Islamic newsletter published from Connecticut.]
Swedish Dresden Committee Launches Website
DresdenRemembrance.nu
The Swedish Dresden Committee was formed at the beginning of
2005 to honour the memory of those killed by the allied bombings
over the city of Dresden and other German cities during the final
stages of Second World War. By holding annual remembrance ceremonies
we help preserve the memory of that part of history that the present
power elite want us to forget. The tradition of commemorating the
anniversary of the three day long annihilation of the city of
Dresden at Skogskyrkogården in Stockholm begun in 2003. But it
wasn't until 2005 that the ceremonies came to involve more than
just a handful of dedicated people. That year about 60 people
partook in Stockholm. The Dresden Committee has no political or
religious affiliations. The activities are limited to the ceremony
in remembrance of the victims in Dresden, and also a smaller
ceremony in remembrance of the sinking of the refugee ship
Wilhelm Gustloff. The purpose of this new web site is to show
the world that the memory and remembrance is alive and being cared of.

IRAN: Working with the U.S. in Iraq: Claims that Elections were Valid:
Destruction of Five Iraqi Cities Did Not Disturb Iran.
U.S. TV news gives the impression that conflict with Iran is
around the corner. Israel sees nuclear development in Iran as
a threat and is pushing the U.S. to pressure Iran. Even an Osirak
style strike might not be out of the question. Remember at that
time, the U.S. and Saddam were allies but Israel got away with the attack.
Iran's new leader Ahmedinejad has been speaking against Israel
and denying the "holocaust," much to the delight of the Muslim
world. New Trend sees this as an attempt to mobilize the Islamic
base created among the Iranian people by Imam Khomeini. Also it
gains popularity in the Muslim world at little or no cost.
On the ground, however, New Trend notices that Iran's agenda is
the same as that of the U.S., which is to install a "government"
in Baghdad after carrying out the farce of "elections" literally
under the guns of the United States. Occupation and elections are
mutually contradictory concepts. The "elections" were carried out
after military operations with heavy weapons which destroyed five
Iraqi cities. Iran did not demur.
[This is the same Iran which supported a decade of U.S-Israeli-UN
sanctions against Iraq.]
As for Israel, Iran has not fired a shot at Israel. No Iranians
are involved in fighting Israel or the U.S. In Afghanistan,
Iran supports the U.S. In Kashmir, it is not against India.
In Chechnia it supports Russia. There is much rhetorical Iranian
support for Palestine but even Hizbullah has not been given any
significant weaponry.
Thus Iran's government is evidently trying to fool its own people
as evidenced from the excerpts published below from the leading
Iranian newspaper Kayhan. Note that the Shi'ite leadership in
Iraq has clearly stated that Islam will not be the dominant force
in the Iraq it wishes to rule. By contrast, the resistance forces
want to establish the Caliphate.
Iran hails "first Islamist Arab state" in Iraq
Fri. 23 Dec 2005
Iran Focus
24 December 2005
Tehran, Iran, Dec. 23 - The editorial of Iran's leading hard-line
daily hailed the outcome of Iraq's parliamentary elections as
"the creation of the first Islamist state in the Arab world",
and warned against "American plots" to prevent the formation of
the new Iraqi government by Iranian-backed Shiite groups.
"Of the 275 seats in Iraq's new parliament, 140 will belong to
pious Islamists, 60 will be occupied by Kurds with excellent
ties with Iran, and 40 will belong to Sunni Arabs, most of whom
want a sovereign, Islamist state", the daily Kayhan's Saturday
editorial noted. "The new government - including the President,
the Prime Minister, the cabinet, the armed forces and the judiciary
- will emerge from this new assembly".
Kayhan said the election outcome will "increase pressures, both
inside and outside the U.S., on [President George W.] Bush to
withdraw American troops from Iraq". "Bush will have to give
in and withdraw the bulk of his forces from Iraq in the next
few months", the daily, which reflects the views of Supreme
Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, wrote.
The paper listed the consequences of American withdrawal from
Iraq, describing the current situation in Iraq as "the biggest
crisis America has faced in recent decades".
"The American defeat and withdrawal from Iraq will forever bury
the Neoconservative current in the U.S.,...while the formation
of an Islamist state in Iraq, which will be a natural ally of
the Islamic Republic of Iran and will form a contiguous link
between Iran and Palestine through Syria and Lebanon, will bring
about a sea change in the geo-strategic balance in the region in
favour of Iran and to America's detriment. This new alliance with
its huge size will directly influence all developments in the
Arab and Muslim Middle East".
Kayhan's editorial said American officials' recent statements on
election irregularities in Iraq were aimed at forcing the
pro-Iranian Shiite groups to give concessions. "They [the
Iranian-backed Shiites] will not accept this", the paper wrote.
"The Americans have no choice but to leave Iraq and this must
happen in the next few months", Kayhan wrote. "Today's Iraq
shows the two sides of the Middle Eastern coin: the victory of
Islamism, and the defeat and flight of the West".
